Guyman01:Shonubi has more years of experience in Banking than Aisha. In any case, he's acting. I believe that a new Governor will be appointed after Emefieles term expires in May 2024. |
SpatialKing:Wow! That post by Damilola is silly to say the least. What has tribe got to do with Guinness records? I don't even see why anyone wants to break a record that is yet to be approved. |
This younger generation is simply amazing...no qualms at all. Hmmm! |
How is that her business? He made his choice. She should leave him alone and seek for her own happiness elsewhere. |
nnamdi640:Every land in Lagos is leasehold, the longest being 99 years after which ownership reverts to the State if they so wish. That tallies with the Land Use Act. Only family land in villages can be freehold. |
Water reservoirs built when Nigeria was fairly better managed. |
CharleyBright:Many government controlled parking lots in Lagos are semi automated and always manned, so you can collect your ticket before parking and pay to the cashier based on time spent on your way out. They should do the same in FCT. |
Evidence is the most important thing to prove a case. They need to do better. |
What is IPOB gaining from the sit at home order? To me, it seems more like cutting the nose to spite the face. Or maybe I don't know nor understand the benefits. |
The hatred seems so deep.... |
[quote author=Penguin2 post=123585169] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZxPCWB0cb8 There’s limit to what a people can take. When you push and push and push the people to a certain level, they will get to a point they will start to not only resist your push but also start to push back. That’s the situation in Senegal right now. Since taking office in 2012, Macky Sall, the country’s president, has played a vendetta kind of politics and consistently used instruments of government to clamp down on oppositions and even disqualify leading opposition candidates from standing for elections just so that he can easily retain power. This has led to over 400 political prisoners serving jail terms over different kind of trumped up charges. But this time around, the people seem to have had enough and has taken to the streets. What is interesting in the video above however, is that Senegalese soldiers who were most likely deployed to clamp down on the protesters are seen in the clip waving at the protesters just as the protesters hailed the soldiers in return. This is totally in contrast to what was witnessed in Nigeria in 2020 when Soldiers were deployed against peaceful protesters in Lekki, Lagos, and what happened next is what we all already know. I hope Nigeria is watching and taking notes to see and learn that there’s limit to what a people can take before they pushback. for this and the tweets. I've been trying to understand what is happening there. |
The heading is quite different from the story. Which type of journalism is this? |
BloomingDale:To be repaired or replaced from our taxes and resources! Why should destruction come to mind at a time like this? The burning of the BRT and Lagos High Court come to mind. It's never the right way to resolve problems. |
That was his choice I think. He could have arranged for a big welcome carnival like others do if he so desired. |
Strafudeen:Did you listen to the NNPC boss? There's no cash backing for the budgeted amount. NNPC was paying on behalf of FG. |
mushroomFarm:Thanks for the enlightenment. Keep the flag flying. Success all the way. Amen |
Who are these people who have made things difficult for us over the years? No one wants to mention names. |
They're loved and praised everywhere they have stations. They don't cheat nor do they take advantage of people during scarcity. God bless them and their enterprise much more. |
April4th:Well, they can only sell old stock at the old rate. That's probably finished now so they have to review in line with the new loading price. We will overcome some day.. .... |
abatically:Hmmm! It is well with us. |
hafal2020:Noted. Thanks |
alamoht:Thanks for the update. |
There was a space earmarked for tradition and culture (or something like that) somewhere between the National Mosque and the Ecumenical Centre in Garki around Area 8. I think it was to serve as a cultural centre. I wonder what has become of that. Updated It's been designed as a Cultural Centre and houses the millennium tower. |
Ibori at the villa ...Hmmm! What exactly are we teaching the younger generation? God dey. |
IPMAN has stated that they will sell at the old price since the current stock they have is subsidised. Maybe some of their members and the majors are not complying. BOVAS has been selling at the old price. I'm not sure that they still have fuel though. Mama BOVAS, Dr(Mrs) V. Adunola Samson in particular deserves a National award for always standing by the masses. |
May BOVAS and it's owners plus staff be forever richly blessed from generation to generation. Amen I learnt that they're still selling at the old rate (PMS) at stations where they still have fuel because they say they're selling old stock. These are the kind of people who deserve to win national awards. Unfortunately, it's often not so in Nigeria. ![]() Mama BOVAS will always be the queen of the hearts of the masses. Their prayers for her will be answered by God's grace. |
@OP You made a wise move. Try to learn more and be open to specialised areas once you have a good grasp of the basics. Welding is more than burglary proof et al. You can make a fortune from it if you're creative with a good business sense. May God bless your family and your enterprise. Kudos to your wife. She'll live to see you rise and shine to God's glory. |
mployer:There are Engineering graduates who learn welding or plumbing as added value. I know one who is currently with an oil company in the Middle East. He started with an oil servicing company in PH. An educated person will not practice welding like a local artisan once he has a good grasp of the work. There's a lot more to some of these technical skills which are so well appreciated outside these shores. |
Tough times ahead but we were warned that it's inevitable. We resisted the subsidy during GEJs era. GMB dodged the bullet but prepared all that 8s required to make it a reality (PIA) and pushed it on to BAT to actualize. We'll weather the storm as Ngozi Iweala, Lamido Sanusi, Akinwumi Adesina and others previously advised, so we can have a better future. |
Positive news! Congratulations to her. Greater blessings. |
