There's a lot about NIA that cannot be discussed openly as explained by a former security operative a while ago. Best to let sleeping dogs lie down in peace.

Politics › Re: Presidential Election Results Refused To Upload, INEC Officers Tell Tribunal by delpee(f): 6:51pm On Jun 19, 2023
Suppose the result didn't upload because there were attempts to hack into the system?

I guess it's possible to collate results from the duly signed result sheets at each polling station. Whether uploaded or not, the result in line with BVAS should be valid. Evidence should be based on that.

I hate to discuss things that are not peripheral, but in this case I'll make an exception. I hope you know that what you just posted is actually not in your favour. If two states could produce 18,000 blurred result sheets, how many would the other 34 states produce. It's 1...2...3 elementary.
Law is based on verifiable evidence, not assumptions.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: New Trend Alert!! Companies Now Taking Advantage Of Job Applicants!! by delpee(f): 4:04pm On Jun 17, 2023

Use to think hiring was an easy task until recently my line manager asked me to hire someone who will join my team. Oboy it's been more than a month and yet to find the right candidate. Prior to now, I thought having a good resume was overflogged but I know how many CV have sent to my recycle bin without bothering meeting the candidate just cos the CV was poorly drafted. Op I doubt if any reasonable company will go through the stress of recruitment just to steal ideas from candidates.
This reminds me of a job interview I was involved in as a member of a panel years ago. Honestly, many graduates leave one wondering how they passed through school. We had to make one potential intake rewrite his application and guess who assisted him....one of our Secretaries. sad

Of course, many CVs don't go beyond first level screening. Poor presentation, bad grammar etc
Those who require employment need to work hard towards it. .

Still, there are many outstanding applicants. Unfortunately, vacancies are few.

This new idea of writing business plans in the name of interview isn't fair if it is meant to steal ideas though.

The loan default rate in Nigeria is too high. People get their priorities wrong and misapply funds. Some see it as their share of the National cake.
Education loan comes to mind.....
Politics › Re: Stop Payment To MDA's Till Further Notice, Tinubu Orders CBN by delpee(f): 1:20pm On Jun 17, 2023
seunmsg:
Unfortunately, corruption in the federal public service doesn’t know tribe. When there is corrupt money to be made, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Ijaw, Kanuri etc all come together in unity to milk the system. Once you’re in on the deal, you in and when you’re not in, you’re not in irrespective of ethnicities.

If the names of those involved in the salary padding are released, you will find almost all major ethnicities fully represented.
So true!

Family › Re: I Stood Up To My Father by delpee(f): 4:20pm On Jun 16, 2023
This woke generation is something else!

@OP
For as long as you choose to live with your parents, please respect them. It's for your own good. The fact that you're earning and you supported your dad in his downtime is not enough reason to be rude to him. Can you fully pay him back for his sacrifices over the years? This is not about money but also about time and energy put into running the home.

I feel so sad for him because you made him feel incompetent as a dad. His ego is bruised. He may not say anything but such silent misery usually has an impact on one's health.

Apologise to him. If you feel too big to be corrected, you can live on your own. The truth is that only nonchalant or irresponsible parents won't correct you when you're wrong.

You'll understand it better when you have your own kids.

The Student Loan is what helped a number of today's elders fulfill their dreams for good education. It will make it easier for indigent people to go for higher education. Those that can afford it will pay on their own.

In the late 70s and early 80s, we had bursaries (at least in the South West) which was sufficient to cover all fees for each session. That was given to everyone who applied provided you got admission and your LG Chairman signed your form. It was the Military coups that put an end to it.

Too sad in a country where we keep hearing of billions flying away. People need to be more humane and considerate instead of piling up billions while others suffer so much.

A good boat and life jackets are not too much for the State Govt to provide in that location for ease of transportation for the people.

Heartfelt condolences to their families.

Whose fault but PDP members who refused to reach a compromise among themselves, so as to face APC squarely as a united front. He won, since he had the highest votes and met the requirement as stated in the constitution.

Probably God's way of resolving the issue and to teach some lessons. Next time, the opposition should be more focused on how to win.

The matter is still in court anyway.

It's really terrible that the only message from this that most who have commented so far got are the names and tribes of the perps.

The problem of the black man is the black man and Africans are the problem of Africa.

Instead of condemning the situation or hailing the NDLEA, it's tribal war that y'all are fighting.
You're absolutely right. Few people criticise objectively these days sadly.

The annoying thing most of the aspirants have issues with EFCC. I remember "off the mic" issue in relation to the Niger Delta and the extreme poverty and insecurity in Zamfara in the midst of plenty. Can't we have better people putting themselves forward to lead us? It's so depressing.
