This shouldn't be news at all. Orji Kalu of Abia state was the first governor in Nigeria to appoint someone outside his tribe as his Media Assistant many years ago. And that person was the son of the Soun of Ogbomoso, Prince Kunle Oyewummi, the 21st son of the monarch. So, no big news. |
Just lobbying to make sure Jona dosen't supersede him after office. Fighting with ghosts. Guilty conscience! |
That's why it's always advisable to play civilized opposition politics. In most part, it was the unprintables some Nigerians called Jonathan in the SOCIAL MEDIA that ran his image down globally. People around the world including leaders are again reading about Mr. Buhari and there is no way to control the flow of information or censure the people. The days of NTA and a few Newspapers are gone. So, God knows what would be left of this man by 2019 in a world ruled by social media. Lesson: there's always a tomorrow. |
Very ironic and interesting thread indeed ! |

Ihejirika's place in history visavis the fight against Boko haram is positively assured. He was a fine military chief and commander whose tenure did not see Boko Haram cease one inch of Nigerian territory. This is a fact of history detractors can never erase. |
mrrock:What a servile smile! |
What a servile grin from Osinbajo, wow! |
tevinsolt:Half-caste is equally appropriate though not popularly used...you can consult your dictionary |
The both, but Nwike's looks more intelligent and assertive...My gut feeling |
jerome4u:This issue should not be over flogged. I believe the Op wanted to type the commercial capital of Anambra state. |
Obiagelli:Just as you can easily embark on thrump-up allegations to obstruct progress. CHEAP SHOT 101 |
DONLEKAN:Really? Which of his successors ever ran Nigeria up? |
ohenhen1:Just like they fought each other before Nigeria came into being? |
Fani Kayode's position should have been nothing in normal climes. The merit of his demand that the NWC resign is what should count and not the validity of the membership of a party he served as the campaign DG. Sounds silly! |
King Jaja whose real name was Mbanaso Okwaraozurumba, the third son of Mr and Mrs Okwaraozurumba was born at Úmuduruõha Amaigbo in 1821, present day Imo state. He was Igbo with Ibani nationality. Hausa and Fulani taps so much from their hybrid heritage. Ijaw and Igbo must start doing same. http://www.amaigbo.plus.com/files/jaja.html |
Chappie:Even at that, anyone who knows the delta would tell you about the complex nature of the topography, labyrinth of zigzags far more difficult than the sambisa forest. Just because you have a hammer does not mean that every problem is a nail. |
WombRaiders:Even with all that, the party that has better knowledge of the terrain is the one that would dictate the rythm. History of conflicts justifies this position. |
Could she be related to the Chairman of Alimosho Local government who was caught on video doing the same thing a few months ago ![]() For God's sake what's wrong with these heartless beasts?!!! |
9jalyte:That's it. We just have to sit back and watch the incoming miracle-president teach us the better way ![]() ....And that he must do. |
Blood pressure naturally rises up early morning till midday when it starts to descend. If you have an existing uncontrolled high blood pressure, there's every tendency that you might suffer a cardiac arrest at that time of the day if additional pressure is put on the heart through a vigorous excercise as jogging. Whether you're young or old, before you put on the jogging gear ascertain what your pressure is! |
barcanista: |
Go check the spiritual background of these so called protesters...Certainly majority Muslims I don't know why they're so inclined at the slightest pretext to spill blood as a punitive measure |
BlackTechnology:I couldn't agree less with you. The Ijaw/Igbo/Eastern region alliance has come to stay and no amount of petty impersonation can dampen the spirit. We'll pursue a common cause of self determination without hindrance to our respective freedom afterward. It will be tedious but we shall prevail at the end. |
What is with all this Buhari stiffness...At Oshiomole's wedding and again here? Well, Well...I hope it'll all translate to a steady power supply and strong economy in the next 48 months otherwise what's all this anti-social posture for ![]() |
owukpa:It's increasingly worrisome how most Nigerians can't distinguish b/w a state and an ethnic group Is 'Benue' a cultural block or political administrative unit? |
Buhari was contending with culture shock. Learning the ropes of being a civilian president in a highly social society like Nigeria He really need to beg GEJ for those 'tips' he's complaining about He must have to remove his conservative Islamic personality and adapt jeje to his southern owambe secular constituencies |
Horrible 'shitty' zoo of a country! Everything stinks in the biggest black prison in the world! ![]() |
Absolutely seeking for cheap recognition. The Israelis have much more capabilty to fund their ambulance service than Nigerians. Not too long ago a photo of the eye sore that was the Oturkpo General Hospital, Benue state, was circulated online. This type of gesture would have best suited the Oturkpo circumstance. Strange indeed. https://www.nairaland.com/2268867/photos-general-hospital-otukpo-benue/3#32956614 |
Demmzy15:I guess your own success as a yoruba must have surpassed that of Ben Bruce as yorubas are success builders? Just like the Gwaris are showing good example in Abuja ![]() |
What are these unruly cowards and saboteurs talkng about ![]() Giving the timeline of the deadly bombs, how could the president have inherited a rag tag Boko Haram who couldn't have carried out deadly attacks? |
