Why waste money on election then.

Let INEC give out the money meant for election for states as SOFT loans for SMES.

At least it would have an impact.

Some of these newspaper write ups are getting shameful and ridiculous

people go to sleep, think of anything, wake up the next morning and claim its a revelation from Aso Rock.

Some things are more important than these political appointments. we should be debating policies and not personalities.
Thanks.

This is some hard truth,

In as much as I do not support the arms struggle, I am beginning to understand that that is what the political class understands.

They need to feel unsecured even in the highly fortified enclaves .

This is a silent revolution, that if properly channelled will make politicians think twice before contesting for elective posts

waooh,

This thread brings tears close to my eyes.

I did not hawk but I was a chicken seller in the market. In the image below, that used to be me.

Thank God for God. Today, I am a graduate, masters degree holder from the UK, and presently a manager in a telecoms firm in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Oath-taking Lawmaker Apologies by deor03(m): 5:59pm On Jun 30, 2009
vigasimple:
A thought just came to my mind while reading this.

It appears that blood oath taking is more powerful and put this politician in check. Why don't we just introduce BLOOD OATH TAKING and SANGO(IRON) SWEARING into our constitution.

The blood oath should start by saying that I,  so so so and so swear a bload oath or swear by sango that IF I WERE TO STEAL OR EMBEZEL PUBLIC MONIES to die of coughing blood to death immediately or if swearing is by iron to die by thunder striking to death.

Beleive me, we will have politicians that will sit tight and stop stealing this country resources.
@vigasimple

If these guys , so much beleive in the potency of this Oaths, then I second your suggestion

Yea. Arthur Nzeribe, some former gov / minister who 'borrowed' the generator from the national stadium for his mother's burial in the village. cheesy

Dont know if they're related though
You are mixing up Nzeribe with Nwobodo. It was Nwobodo that borrowed the National stadium's generator.

PoliticsRe: Banky W Versus Reuben Abati! Prepare For War! by deor03(m): 4:19pm On Jun 24, 2009
BANKY-W was just spot on on his reply.

This is a true representation of the frustration encountered by the youth of this generation. The Generation before us were the ones that had FREE Education, Job immediately after school, getting a car was  a matter of choice, ASUU strike was never heard of, etc.

This present generation ( which will liberate this country) with all the attendant problems in this country, is trying very hard to make things.

I hope someone can just bring constructive criticism to the table rather that castigating the struggling youths

PoliticsRe: Bayelsa Development (pictures) by deor03(m): 9:17pm On Jun 21, 2009
Pls correct me If i am wrong?

Bayelsa is supposed to be the easiest state to develop in the country.

1.It has the smallest land mass
2.It is one of the richest states in the country
3. It is a mono ethnic state

All they need in that state is a serious governor.
