Education › Re: Did You Get Admission This Year? by DisGuy: 2:06pm On Oct 19, 2009
Why cant they solve this admissions problem out once and for all

what is the main porblem anyway? Is it the number of places available or incompetent clearing officers

And students that pass their exams but cant get a place should be given priority the following year!

the should remove the bottlenecks that make students bribe lecturers to get a place at university!

Thank you, that is the problem with nigeria, they accuse the media of this and that but they will never come out to defend themselves or deny any report they just wait for it to get blown over by another big news- what is wrong in denying rumours and setting the record straight? why employ spokesmen that cant speak for you

‘a story not denied within 24 hours, is believed to be true’ Bleep

She shouted at me and ordered me to get out of her sight. I then introduced myself as a lawyer and a concerned citizen. She then told me that she was also a lawyer. I became furious at that point because I could not imagine a legal practitioner initiating and authorising such an illegality in a democratic society where human rights are topmost priority to the government.

Travel › Re: Has Bellview Gone Down! by DisGuy(mod): 11:20pm On Oct 17, 2009
Authorities of Bellview Airline yesterday suspended its domestic and regional flight operations.

The airline, which has been faced with a series of complaints from passengers as a result of flight rescheduling and cancellations, disclosed that it decided to suspend its operations, pending the arrival of its ordered aircraft.

"We have followed the expected industry practice in settling the passengers whose flights were affected," said Martha Damina, the deputy Media relations officer of the airline.

The airline, however, said it had kept to the regulations of the industry in its dealings with its passengers, stressing that it had ensured that its aggrieved passengers were all pacified.

"We have followed the expected industry practice in settling the passengers whose flights were affected," said Mrs Damina "the suspension is temporary and we are going to commence our regular flights soon.

"How do they expect my youthful players to come and train on a pitch without grass?" he told Punch newspaper in Nigeria.

"They want us to train on the field which cannot accommodate even a five-a-side game. This is horrible; I have never seen a thing like this all my life in football.

"Even the doping room is only comparable to a detention centre, there are no excuses, and we cannot stay here."

naliakar:
Are you an illiterate agbero? Why  tell lies about Naija. Where in Nigeria are flamingos considered food. Abeg, talk for yourself. In the East we don't eat flamingos. I have traveled widely in Nigeri and I can assure you that from Sokoto to Yobe and Borno: from Akwa Ibom to Ogun and nowhere do they prize game meat. For your info it is a testimony to Naija's love of animals that our Elephants are way bigger than the ones you find in Kenya or Southern Africa and our Giraffes even taller. Have you been to The Kainji, Cross River  or Gashaka-Gumti national parks?Dont feed the ego of these Kenyans abe.
You are the blind one, why do you think we don't have ostrich and the likes? there are many animals in other parts of africa where we share the same climate not present in nigeria and you know why?? We bloody ate those things! Just the other day on NTA the governor of a SW state had to chase away a farmer who came to display three buffaloes
In a country where they openly eat dogs-a supposedly domesticated animal is eaten with all sense of seriousness-why wont they eat flamingoes if they are available

the elephant I saw on nta looks like it was forgotten in a nazi camp!
tongue

the Kenyans have obviously invested in their reserves and thanks to nature they are reaping the benefits -well done to them!!

I don't have enough information to make an informed judgement on this issue, The question is why do we need a new international Airport in Lagos??
Abi o, How many people travel use MMA, how many people travel by Air in nigeria even
What happened to overpopulation? How are we sure the so called Free trade zone will be successful and why do they need an airport, will the workers there fly to flats in ogba?
how about 4 new bridges tolled to generate revenue and ease traffic.
the state govt should partner neighbouring state govt and private sector for a high speed trains
I really pity the people moving to lekki area, in the near future their neighbourhood will be turned into an overpopulated commercial area with construction and plane noise all over the place

where is the PPP train thats supposed to be operational by 2011 again?
