joseph1832:I've come online to see my obituary threads trending on this forum twice in 2015. Before they were deleted by a moderator. I've been tagged to posts where someone used my details to post something demeaning on this forum in 2016. Actually, the someone was the now-disgraced DarkRebel. I've come online to my then office address and brand paraphernalia posted on this thread less than a year ago. None of these antics have hurt me or what I do for a living since I can defend my persona here anywhere. Maybe nothing fazes me anymore. There are Photoshopped X screenshots of Peruzzi claiming he dated and impregnated Chioma, Davido's wife, but he's still on X. Devious trolls would always be devious, but it's up to you to stay in the shadows or step into the light with little care for what they might do. Take the power away from them is what I believe in. But I do it mostly from a branding perspective. |
joseph1832:My usernames are the same across the social media platforms I am active on, with my full names too. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram... I'm not living double or multiple lives, and maintain the same stances on issues across all platforms and physically in person, so what's there to worry about or hide? |
Unlimited22, good one. As a suggestion, you should unify your social media usernames so they are the same across. Helps for publicity, getting found easily, and when you get your digital profile cards designed. Something like: Facebook, X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram logos: @Disstroyer . |
sageb:Every hit song in Nigeria was stolen from Blackface, according to Blackface Reporters. Let's get this straight: A designer brainstorms on a product idea with a UI/UX design. He draws up a wireframe of it. You heard about it but backed away from it. And since it's just a rough work, I build on the same design, build the actual product, do product-market-fit, onboard users, scale it, win awards with it, then when you see I've succeeded with it and built loyalists around it, you build a similar product, same design and everything then change the name and tagline, but I am the thief? Absurd, right? That's exactly how Blackface's claims come across. He'd have been the one paying for damages if PMAN actually functioned. |
odizeey:Blackface was a star, of course. Ajegunle music was good too, but nothing close to the finesse and class the likes of PSquare, 2Face, Faze, and the main boys brought on. Drop hit for hits between Ghetto Child and Faze alone.Duncan Mighty had more hits in his first album than both combined but he was a regional artiste, sadly. All his songs are evergreen and still strike hard. Crossing over was what defined stars. Faze did it, with airplays on pan-African TV stations. Blackface didn't. What do you mean by soundcity worthy? If you'd put it this way, we could say Original Stereoman and Danfo Drivers floored Blackface and Faze too. Floored a lot of artistes for that 2003 - 2005 stretch. But they were still Ajegunle-styled artistes without that embracing finesse which PSquare, 2Face, and even Faze had - finesse which translated to transnational acceptability. This was what set them apart. |
sageb:Let's assume time might have made the chronology of the releases a little hazy, so where's proof Erinma was in 2006? |
odizeey:LOL. Blackface was not even Soundcity-worthy, not to mention MTV Base and Channel O which Faze was a regular on post-split. Blackface's music videos were always those Ajegunle-themed ones, with towels and rough-looking guys of the Galala and Suo set. Not different from Marvelous Benji. African China hit too but he was still an Ajegunle, Ghetto brand artsite. Faze was on a higher level. Had almost the class and finesse to his songs and music videos like 2Face. Go watch their music videos from that era to compare and contrast. Comparing post-split BlackFace to Faze is disrespect. |
BlueRayDick:Winners and Christ Embassy were already putting on trousers as far back as I can remember, but that particular church wasn't having any of it. Knee-length skirts too were enforced. Hairs must be covered for women, no weavons or wigs, but braids with 'attachments' for hair extensions could be overlooked. No dyed hair, of course. Piercings on men were a no-no, dreads were forbidden, and women had just the one-piercing-per-ear-lobe kind. I think that religious indoctrination sort of grew with most of us, no matter how irreligious or liberal we claim to be now. I still haven't been able to rationalize multiple piercings, tattoos, nose rings, and extravagantly dyed hair and unconventional hairstyles. Funny how the same church which suspended the girl then for putting on trousers which didn't even objectify her now condones choir members attending choir practice in trousers and with wigs on. |
I'd share my trajectory so maybe you can sieve something from it. - I was a writer to begin with, even back in school. - Later on, I did web content writing and publishing and this naturally meant I had to understand the basics of SEO. - I went on to learn web development and design. - Naturally I had to design banners and the likes for web content so I learnt graphic design. - Since I had a background in graphic design and wanted to build modern, functional, and beautiful websites, I naturally learnt UI/UX. So, Copywriting, Web Development, Graphic Design, UI/UX. Over the years, I had to draw up documents and all of the necessary business writing so I took such courses and now I develop brand pitch decks and brand analytics. That's two more skills added. Coywriting, Web Development, Graphic Design, UI/UX, Brand Analytics and Presentation... The necessary skills needed to take a brand from zero to one. And because I have these skills, I'm on-track as a Product Manager or Digital Project Manager. All these skills are interrelated so I offer full digital brand development and management packages with these individual services fused into the packages. And this is what I have been doing - an ecosystem of necessary and related services. Now even for bootstrapped products I build, since I am skilled in these areas, I can develop a product from ideation to MVP stage then scale further even as a one-man team, or with a team. ----- Learn UI/UX to so you can conceptualize ideas and design them before coding..Then learn SEO so the websites and web apps you build are easily indexed on the internet. |
MyVILLAGEpeople:As a general rule, until you see a Nigerian female's unedited pictures, don't run with the idea of her being beautiful. And I'm yet to see darkskinned Nigerian woman who don't use heavy filters to make themselves lightskin. They all claim "black and proud" but want to look light skin. Just like darkskinned men love to hate on lightskin men, including on Nairaland. Envy and yearning. If you intend on getting intimate with any of such females, video-call them on WhatsApp where there is no filter. |
I hope the owners cut off the Transmission Company of Nigeria to transmit directly. The TCN's facilities are old so can't take up all the generated electricity. Ibom Power generates 130MW of electricity but TCN can take up only 32MW so the Ibom Power has to transmit the rest itself while the rest goes to waste even though it can generate enough power to power Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, and most of Rivers. But the power supply in Akwa Ibom is good regardless. Congratulations to Abia. 9 LGAs is a good start. Other states must sit up. FG can't do it all. |
BlueRayDick:Tony! I'm trying to remember the title of the song he did where Princess was a Mama Put owner and had video vixens in yellow t-shirts and blue trousers dancing in a line. He wasn't touching any of them. I don't know if you can remember the title. That music video caused trouble. Turns out my class teacher's first daughter was the lead video vixen in the music video and she got suspended from church for it. It was forbidden to wear trousers then in our church. Crazy times. ![]() |
odizeey:Blackface's biggest song post-split was a remix of P-Square's "Do Me' called " Erimma". Before that, it was some ragga-styled song called "Hard Life" in the category of the Marvelous Benjis. His music was Ajegunle-themed. Ghetto-themed. Faze had his music on MTV Base, Nigezee, and the likes, and did shows outside the country.. He was bigger and more successful post-split. Only paled when compared to 2Face the colossus. But then 2Face was bigger than everyone. |
iamoyindamola:Faze had a good run when Plantashun Boiz split; from 2004 to 2007 to 2009. Brother? Tattoo Girls? Originality? Which? All nationwide bangers. Chibuzor was too good. Till date the only Nigerian male artistes who can sing the highest notes are in this order: 1. Wande Coal 2. Faze 3. Chuddy K No Nigerian male artiste can lace their boots when it comes to unfiltered notes. If Faze had come up post-2007 with the backing of a good record label, he'd still be in the game till date. |
seankafor:The truth? I actually do not enjoy what I did to you yesterday and today. You and I have been cool for years and never gone against each other. I take no delight in it since there's no motivation from simmering angst between us. You took the bait of LiveLongnProspa yesterday whose job here is to cause rancour needlessly and make people go against each other. You should have seen his antics for what it is to ignore like Izu advised in retrospect. Same thing he tried to cause between BlueRay and myself out of the blues same day. But you thought it was one of those times when you'd gang up in your anti-Akwa Ibom unrelated slurfest while I restrain myself from using certain words like other times over the momths. Now you know I can go just as low too, or lower when I want to. |
Theflint1:Change your search location to Uyo, geolocate it to within 100 KM using Facebook Marketplace then search using the areas I have mentioned. E.g. "Afa Ube rent", " Shelter Afrique rent" , "Ewet Housing rent" e.t.c. Specifically ask the realtors you contact if the power supply is Band A, B, or C. This might make your window shopping/search easier. Not as expensive as accommodation in Lagos on the average. |
nihilistjnr:Doesn't change the fact that SeanOkafor is a self-confessed fraudster and his scamming antics haven't been unraveled over the years on Nairaland. His details are known too. These facts are unchangeable and indisputable facts. |
Theflint1:It depends on the quality of housing. But it isn't too different from the rates you've read here about housing in PH. Ewet Housing Estate, Osongoma Estate, Shelter Afrique and 100 Units are the priciest generally. More so, for the stability of electricity in these places too as I had listed prior. |
donjazzet:Yaba Left online! DonCrazy. ![]() |
Chikel20000:Alright, Deputy Jesus. |

Ironically, the most morally-backward people also double as religious people; and a lot of these religious people are Christians. It's almost 9AM. Dress up and drive into any of these new-age churches to see wild dressing and displays. Imagine speaking in tongues after hookup last night, piercings all over, and with videos of you twerking and other lewd acts on your TikTok. Who's fooling who? Religious people are mostly sanctimonious. |
Not just Lagos, but the Lagos Angel Investment Network. My God! Those guys put Nigerian tech startups on the map. I have been praying Akwa Ibom emulates what they did. It launched the Akwa Ibom Investment Network last October and I hope we go on to do great things through it. And we continue partnering with the Lagos Angel Investment Network. With states beginning to control power transmission, I'd like to see foreign coys go into many Nigerian states and get tax-free breaks as incentive. I want to see Microsoft come into mine, for example. |
"Oga wetin u take, wey dey ginger you since yesterday to dey go against igbos." ------- Ah... Here comes the gaslighting brigade. No more insults? No more slurs? No more anti-Akwa Ibom attacks even when it has nothing to do with tribe? Blind to all of the inferences and accumulated months of mostly unprovoked tribal attacks marshalled by the Igbos against me even when I am engaging people of other tribes. You must continue. Hence, it's a no-holds-bar. No more refrains and cursed be you if you refrain from the tribal slurs you are known for. Same thing you lots do on Nairaland's frontpage. Your tactics and antics are being laid bare. Let anyone post an anti-Akwa Ibom slur now, and the first three people to quote and run with it with would still be your people. Not others - your people. Or with passive aggression to support it. Freaking snakes! |
Nothing to do with Otti, this is Barth Nnajis privately funded project he has been working on for 2 decades now
LOL. There's been 24/7 light in many parts of Akwa Ibom for years. My LGA had 24/7 light from 2007 to January, 2020. Now it's back. Mkpat Enin and Ikot Abasi LGAs have 24/7 electricity since they connect directly from Ibom Power Company. Band A transmission to Uyo, Itu, and Eket LGAs have 24/7 electricity. Ewet Housing Estate, Nelson Mandela, Calabar - Itu, Itam, Akpa Ube, and Nwaniba areas of Uyo City use Band A and have 24/7 electricity. That's why I don't complain of heat. I've been working all evening and night since I came in and the light is still on. Don't just take my word for it - confirm. These have been reported in the media. I have stated same on this thread at some point. But for a people like Sean's who see nothing good in others unless it's theirs, they'd ignore it, then when and if they have a little semblance of something close, they hype it as "the first". ---- Quick one: When the Anambra Senator built that rubbish as a tech hub, then OasisX posted pictures of Senator Ashiru's beautiful and functional tech center minutes later, did you notice not one Igbo moniker had anything good to say about it? I praised it. Lar-ride did. I think one or two others did. But not one Igbo acknowledged it. They all turned blind but were all active that evening. If it was the reverse, they'd have seen it to say something negative. This is an instance you can verify which happened just last week on this thread. They see nothing good in others unless it is theirs. |
joseph1832:LOL. See why I ignored them to go about my day's itinerary? Igbos are the most tribalistic people in Nigeria. I have repeated this over the years on Nairaland, on other threads and on this thread. Wherever three or four Nairalanders are ganged up to launch tribalistic slurs on others, two of them are Igbos. Facts! This thread, a microcosm of Nairaland and the internet, is an example. I have had issues with Yoruba persons on this thread on random issues, including politics and personal. They mostly didn't go tribalistic. Try having a random argument with an Igbo person on this thread and he'd go tribalistic then his kinsmen would join in. It doesn't matter if they have no issues with you before. When I state I know my allies, I mean my people know our allies. The Igbos revealed to us decades ago who they really are and we have learnt our lessons. Maybe some of us believed they have changed but now we know. It'd guide our decisions going forward. ![]() |
The insecure nitwit who daily posts about his itinerary thinks himself relevant. "Oh! I'm in Orlu!" "Oh! I just got into Ebonyi!" "Darn! I just subscribe to an online music platform!" "Oh! I'm taking a dump in the toilet." With screenshots and pictures to booth everyday unasked. Just last September or so, you were trolling and bragging to BallzProblem that you have achieved more than his generation and worth more than his family on this thread. Three months later in December - January 1 or so, you were sending your account for giveaway on this thread too. From mega rich man to asking for giveaway. Make it make sense! You are a clown! ![]() |
For those who might be interested in the story of how Azikwe stirred tribalism to force an Ibibio man out of the Eastern region seat because he lost out to Awolowo in the Western region, here it is: > Zik/Eyo Ita face-off: Aladinma’s misrepresentations https://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/07/zikeyo-ita-face-off-aladinmas-misrepresentations/ Just a tiny part of story. Yet they gaslight and play the victims of tribalism. I'd dig up more posts and maybe find more physical books I can snap to reference later on. Your gaslighting tribalism didn't start today. It's always been in you. |
Awolowo and Azikwe had a tussle about the Western seat. Azikwe lost. What did he do? Go back to the drawing board? No. He rallied Igbos and questioned why an Ibibio man, Prof. Eyo Ita, should continue occupying the Eastern region seat. And that's how an Ibibio man who was performing was forced out with tribalism. (You can easily research this. ) Same people who play the victim card. Till date, Colonel Effiong Bassey's memory is treated like shit in Akwa Ibom and amongst Ibibiod people. We never wanted a part of the Civil War, but he led us into it. We knew the antics of those we were in bed with. We know you! Let it all come out. |
While people around the country are praising Ibom Air, no Igbo has anything good to say about it. NOT ONE! But it has high ratings. Instead they rallied themselves to rubbish the brand, trying to demarket it. Just like on this thread, if it's not owned or done by an Igbo person and they benefit directly or control a significant proportion. Igbos have nothing good to say about it. https://www.facebook.com/100002527004605/posts/pfbid0TLHcgk7Q5bbt5T7vuoEc6STsXQ4HZuUMhFscJteNnxqUfh4rxPFE4qWW8FvFx2u8l/ Notice the part about Air Peace and the hypocrisy? What happens on this thread with the Igbos always spearheading tribal rattacks and slurs isn't a one-off. If it's not theirs, they would pull you down..They have nothing good to say about others, never mind how better those people are or the good they possess. Let it all come out. |
liveLongNprospa:Hogwash! I was responding to a post on another thread about what an Igbo First lady, Unoma Akpabio, did and the parallels to Betty Akeredolu.. Stating that no first lady of other tribal extractions have tried that in different tribes they have been married to; including Margaret Obi, then first lady of Anambra. You brought it here to start a tribal war because you are a defender of the Igbos and you seek validation even though they insult your people daily. Oddly, the Igbos would never defend your tribe. Deny it! Of course, Igbos would take the bait to jump in. 1, 2, 3, the whole Igbos on the thread jumped in. Next rallying cry to war. Predictable. And, yes, like in Ondo, because of the precedence, any politician with an Igbo wife aspiring for the highest position in Akwa Ibom State ha s a question mark to his ambition. I have mentioned politicians it worked against. Unoma Akpabio's antics and Betty Akeredolu set the precedence. This is the reality. You can cry about it then maybe they should call a meeting to ask why they are always fingered in such mess. You are still a drunkard to them and would be reminded the day you dare not to defend an Igbo issue. I hope you get the validation you seek. The most tribalistic people in the country playing the victim's card is ironically hilarious. |
There are 300+ tribes in Nigeria. Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ibibio, Ijaw... The 5 largest tribes in that order (although the Ibibios and Ijaws argue the interchangeability, but that's not the point). How come everyone accuses you of the same thing? How come you have issues with everyone?/EVERYONE! Partly because of the gaslighting tribalistic character you exhibit on this thread which is a default. An Ijaw man could be arguing with an Igbo man on this thread, and you'd all quickly turn it into a tribal war. A Yoruba would arguing politics with an Igbo man on this thread without mentioning tribe, and the Igbos would gang up against him. An Ibibio man? Same thing. Hausa? Same thing. A kogi man and and Ibibio man would argue politics, and the Igbos would jump in to make it about themselves then go tribalistic. Gowon made a comment about the Civil War this week. A Civil War my people fought and suffered the consequences? Guess who ganged up against Gowon in the media this week to make it about them? The Igbos! Yet it was an Ibibio man who saw that war to the end. Typical gaslighting yet very tribalistic. Let it all come out today! |
