raker300:That's because it isn't worthy of a front page. Since when does street lighting qualifies as a major achievement? Your governor is taking you for a fool. |
Rip. |
This is moderate to be fair. |
AngelicDamsel:Did you check the per capita income? A per capita income of 2k per head is pathetic. I am sorry, the average man cannot thrive with this. |
Africa is backward I swear ![]() |
To me he is arguably the greatest African leader of the modern era. He gets a nod over Mandela because of his vision and intelligence. |
This guy is full of hot air. The real definition of all talk no action. |
Amoto94:I reject that accusation. I am not sure what gave you that impression? My views are simply that of a realist. |
This is the kind of vision nigerian leaders should be proposing. Anyways, I sincerely hope all SW leaders will start working together towards self sufficiency and development |
sarrki:You are not Yoruba or you are ignorant about the negative effects of Nigerian government on our people. The fact south west has been declining since the end of regional systems is pretty conclusive. There are too many major tribes with waring interest for Nigeria to succeed. If you're indeed a Yoruba, open your eyes to the strategic effort to divert all Nigeria resources to the north while frustrating southwest and other regions. The northerners don't care or love yoruba and they have made no secret about that. So spare us the unionist bull. |
This is so annoying. The elders and some yorubas knew this and they are still one of the most vocal groups championing the union of this country. Fact remains, Nigerian potential as a function of her human resources (one of the few reason for staying in the union) is merely a fantasy- at least for the short/medium term. Slowly but surely they have managed to kill Oyo state (despite the huge potential) in favour of places like kaduna and kano. Yet, the short sighted youth still continues to shout sai baba. The short and medium term damage is not worth any future rewards as most African countries are being left behind. |
Iloveafrica:Don't quote me simpleton. |
Nl is a mess, honestly. Seun, how could you allow your mods to push unverified news on the front page? This is unacceptable. |
Nigeria isn't going to get better any time soon with all these corruption enabling legislations. The legal system and the executive branch is clearly broken and fundamentally flawed from an integrity stand points. The division among ethnic groups and their ignorance of the current dire situation, has emboldened the elites. This is even more so because they (elites) are aware the average Nigerians are to selfish, ignorant, easily manipulated and lacks the political appetite for a revolution. It's a shame because I have always hoped Nigeria would get itself together soon. |
The argument about being made poorer because of poor eco system is valid. Nevertheless, this doesn't excuse the mismanagement of their leaders. How could you enjoy such huge allocation per head and complain of poverty. |
What a disgrace. Nigerians can't seem to get the most basic things right. Buildings collapse is way too frequent. |
This thread shows the ever disturbing psych into the average citizen in nigeria. Tribalism, pettiness and short sightedness seems more important than the plight of an average Nigerian. I bet the elites and the politicians can't believe their luck at the level of gullibility. |
madridguy:You keep repeating the same b.s on every thread. Apc is another repackaged pdp. Both are intellectually and morally bankrupt. There is literally no strategy. |
Interesting write up. |
perfectchoice:Innit. |
The outrage by the muslims in that picture is hilarious . I know this isn't exclusive to muslims but the special amount of insecurity that emanates from certain sects of muslims can be amusing. This is mostly down to insecurity and jealousy but amusing nevertheless. |
This is really sad. These kinda cases sorts of put my day into perspective. RIP and may you fly high. |
Welldone girl. Surrey is a good Uni. |
This is not acceptable even by Nigeria low standard. Irrespective of his health he needs to go. |
The whole saga has been badly handled. The most tragic of all is the citizens attitudes towards this lack if respect. |
Apart from Lagos none of the states mentioned above has the structures to maintain those cars. These are merely a vanity project |
buchilino:You obviously don't have any idea how much civils work cost. Lagos needs to generate 10 times more income than it currently does to be able to maintain a decent road standard across Lagos |
How does this contribute to the local economy? This is not a sustainable project imo. Nigerians can celebrate turd project sha. |
What were people expecting? It's very rare for someone with Buhari's educational background to make an impact on a county like Nigeria. He has shown he doesn't have the leadership skills to not only delegate the works but comprehend them as well. He was simply elected based on his fronted Macho anti corruption stance. |
Their questions are driven by profiling needs. The border control do ask a lot more personal question than the generic ones she was asked. Nothing to see here, move along . |
RIP to her. Instead of arranging an appointment with a doctor the husband sent her to meet a pastor. This is what happens when ignorance and religion mix. |
Irrespective of which group is responsible for this reprehensible act, fact still remains Nigeria cannot continue with the existing police structure. Police force should be as independent from the government as much as possible to have any credibility. |
