Business / Re: IMF Affirms Nigeria As Africa’s Biggest Economy!!! by Dollyak(f): 9:05am On Oct 19, 2016
Nigeria might have bigger economy than south Africa and Egypt but ya'll are still far behind in terms of GINI coefficient, HDI, per capital income,, standard of living and economic outlook. South Africa has a functional economy while Nigerian economic heavily relies on oil.

What's so great about this news? Africa as a whole has a smaller economy than California state. So i don't understand the chest puffing on this thread. Perspectives ladies and gents.

jealous stupid dick sucker spotted
Yep. I've often wondered at this myself. Why are people offended by the reaction but not the action that caused that reaction? No matter the issue, whether it be poverty, corruption, racism, sexism etc etc; people feel insulted by the reaction. Never the original action that prompted the reaction.

I suppose people like yourself feel personally indited, as if they're personally being held to blame. Yet this is so destructive because now instead of discussing a very real, very big issue; we're stuck discussing your feelings and how best to appease them. In the end, not only is that issue still there but in fact, it's probably grown. But no matter, as long as one's feelings are mollified, right?

People need to get over themselves. Sacrifice your feelings for the material good of the collective.

What attempts at being constructive? Whooping your a$$ isn't an attempt to be constructive but to knock you back down to your social and intellectual ladder. Low class and poorly educated lmao. On this note I will stop with the bruising of your feelings to avoid suicide. Ciao.

Your stupidity and vulgarity continues to know no bounds....and no attempt of yours to obfuscate the clear fact that 'Dolly' ain't indigenous to Nigeria or Africa.....your hypocrisy in the face of logical deduction exposes your considerable limitations....just buzz off ....m0ron.... grin
You are an insufferable idiot with many limitations. Read up my definition and cure yourself. Your attempts at semantics was a failure. Stick to what you are good at... peasant

Your exhibited stupidity and foul 'mouthedness' is well known and surprises no one, not excluding your ignorant self. So the word/name 'Dolly' as an abbreviation of 'Dolapo' is indigenous to Africa...continue to expose your daftness, we can only but marvel at our fake Americana...British plus whatever.... grin grin grin
Well known by who, your daft self? Please.. Who determines what's indigenous and what isn't? In this context, Nickname/abbreviation is an informal substitute and the meaning is subject to whatever the user gives it. Name by and large, isn't. Accept your short coming and move on. I have no time for f00ls.

Funny contradiction that appears lost on you....so says someone with a moniker called 'Dolly'
Dolly, an abbreviation for Dollapo is apparently an English name lmao. You ignorant f00ls never stop to amaze me. Humor me undecided. Making conclusion based on a moniker isn't smart. Again, I suppose a judgement of what constitutes smart behavior isn't your biggest strength.

Science/Technology / Re: Journey To The Core: How Far Down Is The Center Of The Earth? by Dollyak(f): 3:56pm On Sep 18, 2016
Explorers:

That's possible, but i believe advanced machineries will handle that. I think the problem is the heat, if not they would have drilled to the core with advanced equipments. By the time they drill for 5 to 10years , they will get to the core.
Digging into the earth core cannot cause a crack due to for instance net gravitational force exerted on the planet from the sun and other planets. Think of it as a reason why ocean is still holding together despite been a hydrat liquid (technically). Under the ocean or around the core area, the amount of matter above the object is far far less than the amount of matter below the object so the upward pull of gravity is negligible. However, the reverse is the case on the surface of the Earth.

Wow, am amazed.

Hw did d gold get there?
Firstly, most planet were formed from the collisions in the giant disc-shaped cloud of material that also formed the Sun.
This also meant during the formation the earth, the high temperatures melted the precious minerals from the rocky crust, allowing for the minerals to solidify after it seeped down into the earth's mantle. This took with it the vast majority of the planet's precious metals – such as gold and platinum.

Albert Einstein wouldn't come up with a theory if not for the eyes (light bulb invention) given to him by Thomas Edison!
No doubt, they were both great science savvy, but much credit is often given to Thomas Edison!

I did my research and Edison ranks first on major science magazines. Einstein is no match for he great Edison, do your research, he would always rank no.2.
This has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. So you think the light from Thomas Edison bulb was what aided his invention grin? If you want to go down this path, I would say Nicola Tesla inventions were even more useful than that of Thomas Edison. Anyways, in terms of weight of inventions relevant to this earth, you can't beat the following guys;
1 Isaac Newton (Universal Law of Gravity)
2. Daniel Bernoulli (Law of Hydrodynamic Pressure)
3. Michael Faraday (Law of Electromagnetic Induction)
4. Rudolf Clausius (Second Law of Thermodynamics)
5. Albert Einstein (Theory of Special Relativity)

Special mention to Paul Dirac and Niel Bohr.

you are definitely biased especially from your Ekiti angle, its laughable you know grin. Rail projects are viable anywhere, it opens up villages and towns that you think are not viable. What a funny response from you. grin
Okay, maybe the comparison was a bit of a stretch. However, Kano need a solid economic drive rather than a rail project IMO. I hope I am wrong and this rail project serves as a Up kick in Kano's economic drive.

Madam economist, na you get time, you can ask your governor to start his rail project and we will commend him too, ok?
This isn't about being an economist nor it is about being sentimental as you are now. Anyone can build a rail project if it is being funded by the federal government. I suppose the question is whether they are viable in the said states, which is something that needs to be debate. Will you justify such rail project if Ekiti states was to build one? because this project isn't anymore viable in Kano than it is in Ekiti or other states. There is simply little or no argument for it, at least so far.
Politics / Re: Ganduje Awards $1.85b Contract To China To Construct Kano Light Railway by Dollyak(f): 12:45pm On Sep 02, 2016
Nigeria does not know what it wants. This project would will be maintained for few years by the chinese and then left to rot as usual without maintenance. Never ending circle of bad news coming Nigeria sad.

Do you know many international business transactions are in Kano, you think it has an international airport for nothing? in terms of agriculture, do you know how productive kano is? Please get more information, google is your friend.
It has the worst PMI (purchasing managers' index ) out of the major states in Nigeria, which pretty much settles it. Let's not talk about IGR or growth outlook shall we.

You used all your space attacking the messenger rather than the message.
Rail project is never a bad idea anywhere but the message is that Nigeria at the moment do not need to spend our monies on projects that are not localised.
Localised in the sense that the money will be spent locally. $1.85b! The truth is that more than $1b of that money is going to China.
We need to mobilise our local contractors and construction firms. They will spend the money locally thereby not putting pressure on the Naira.
Time for international contracts has been halted for now.
Hope you understand the point now.
Indeed. In addition, there won't be any transfer of technologies from china as it is always the case with many African countries cue Ethopia rails agreement with the Dutch.
2. The lack of economic drive (extremely negative purchasing managers index) in Kano means the project is unsustainable. so effectively the federal government would always need to stump up cash to subsidize this toy project.
3. Geographically, in terms of population density I don't even think they should be in the top 10 for this kind of projects.

You have surely been misinformed which is very unfortunate, Kano unproductive? Jesus christ
Most state in Nigeria are unproductive but some more than others. For being such a major state with many 'unfair' historical capital funding, it's really unproductive. Relative to States like Lagos, River and even Kaduna to an extent.
Politics / Re: Ganduje Awards $1.85b Contract To China To Construct Kano Light Railway by Dollyak(f): 12:13pm On Sep 02, 2016
What's the economic viability of this project? Even more so for a state, according to statistics, has been one of the most unproductive states in the scheme of things. No doubt, the southerners would be forced to stump up the repayment of this sum.
