Our forefathers used to say and I quote, "what an elder sees and keeps quiet, a child would see and be screaming".
My young cousin who some time in the past got married came to the family meeting one day to complain to the elders about how his wife (newly married wife) had no respect for him and how unruly she was.
The elders in the meeting only asked him a few questions like this:
1) Does your wife greet you in the morning?
My cousin answered she does.
2) Does she still cook for you and you eat her food?
He said yes.
3) Does she refuse you sex?
He answered, she doesn't.
* Then one of my other cousins added, that the madam is even pregnant.
The elders refused his request of them visiting his house to settle anything cos there was nothing to settle as far and they were concerned.

To say the truth, I was also newly married then and I didn't understand that decision at that time. I asked my dad why they decided not to go cos the said woman was a spitfire, a torn in our flesh and we disliked her.
My dad only answered me then, and I quote "a new bride is like a fresh wine. It bites and unsettles the stomach but very sweet to drink. It takes time to get used to". I pressed him for more details and he refused to say more.
Your inexperience speaks volumes in your writing above. You can never understand it till you gain experience and for you to do that, you should have lived with a woman you have wedded for a few years.

Hi fellow nairalanders,

I and my fiance were both bankers, I brought her in town and God used me for her to secure a job.

Where I used to stay was a bit further to our work place, so their is another banker guy who has a CR-V Honda car that usually drops her in the morning at her office whom she later became close friends with, although dey do call themselves whenever the guy is about leaving his house to pick up my fiancee, which I was aware of.

However, suddenly I realized that my fiancee WhatsApp chat is always cleared not to let me see their chats which I suspected a foul play, but the worst came last week when I was trying to get my car engine oil and I was approaching her, she was calling the guy, as I near her to eavesdrop on what she was talking with the guy, she quickly ends the call. I got angry that why will she not let me hear their conversations if truly she has nothing to do with the guy. I challenged her but she insisted nothing was going on between them that she had to end the call on my arrival which she has always call in my presence.

I don't want to be a fool as am about to end the relationship, but I guess I need your honest and positive response on this matter why she had to do what she did. I am a very simple guy and I believe every one should have their freedom. And I don't cheat.

I will love to hear your mature opinion on this.

Good question. Anyone who has the answers should please share them with us. The Nigerian govt will make a lot of money from entry visas, CERPAC, residents permit, work permit etc. annually, once the Biafrans decide to return to Nigeria. Don't forget that many of them still want to eat their cake and have it. They want to remain in Nigeria running their businesses, and at the same time they want to be citizens of their proposed newly-independent country.

What is the population of Biafrans among the Nd'Igbo serving in the federal govt agencies, institutions and parastatals? One needs to look at it. They cannot continue working in sensitive positions and agencies, since they would no longer be citizens of Nigeria.
