The race to secure the Presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is on and heating up.

Yesterday, one of the front runners and National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu made some comments at a function in Abeoukuta which seemed to alarm policy watchers.

Tinubu has positioned himself as the heir apparent to President Buhari, having seemingly put together the coalition that helped bring Buhari and the APC to power at the center. However, feelers from some of the key APC stakeholders seem to indicate Tinubu might not be the favored candidate.

Tinubu recounted how he was a critical factor in the ascension of Buhari to power. That statement seems to indicate all might not be well with his ambition to succeed Buhari in 2023.

So the question is, if Tinubu is denied the ticket of the APC, what are the likely ramifications for the party?
Are we going to see him and his team unearth the party secrets or will he cross over to another party?

I stepped out briefly this afternoon and as I was coming back, I quickly washed my face at the tap because of the blazing sun that hit me. Just as i was leaving the tap, a little boy of about 7 years in the compound looked me in the face and said, Aunty you're fine o. The positive thing is that they are able to earn well. I met one that was working in first bank back in Nigeria and earning about 120k a month. Now she earns a little over 3.5k canadian dollars on the average working customer service after a lot of overtime. She is always stressed out sha. 3.5k is about 980k.
It looks like she is on course to save a lot of money before mid-year, and plans to visit Nigeria by July. She didn't tell me explicitly, but clearly she's going back to see how she can revive a few friendships back home that may lead to marriage. She is soooooo lonely. She cried sef. Eyah!
