Also, you might not have known this but I'm actually a traditionalist too. I was actually recently shying away from my pagans views but it seems of recents those views has been cemented. Any other traditionalist in the house who could further expatiate the mysticism called Witchcraftry is welcomed to share his or her knowledge. |

PAGAN 9JA: What I meant by Witches and Wizards in is the African context not the Harry Porter children story being proported by the westerners. It's in our African belief system that Witches and Wizards possess human (most likely passed on from parent to offspring). They're demons in human flesh whose sole purpose is to cause harm and destruction to fellow human. There are reported theories as to their method of operation to cause destructions to unsuspecting individuals. I just wanted to know your views in regards to that idealogy. |

I know this slightly out of context but since you're a traditionalist and an educated one at that. I want to have your take on witches and wizards, ogbanje and people afflicted with water spirit (Olookun). Does such entities exist? Are they gods? How do they operate? Does Olookun truly bless those that worship her with fortune? Thanks. |

I'm not sure why people compare Nairaland to Facebook or Myspace. Dudes, Nairaland is just a shiithole forum while Facebook, Myspace and the likes are real social networking sites 7 Likes |

oxygen47: My statement was meant to be sarcastic. Sadly, you did not understand what I was trying to do there. The country at the present is a shithole and Mr. President doesn't actually give a hoot about the citizens in general. His only priority right now is securing his position in the 2015 elections while the country slowly rot away. I don't trust the police and other security agencies out there. Everyone knows how uncorrupt they are (sarcasm) What if the documents of the motorcycle was actually original and the police actually seized the documents so he could bribe his way out. This has happened countless numbers of time when the so called security official who are supposed to protect the people see their office as a means to extort from gullible Nigerians. I say fucck GEJ, fucck our leaders and politicians and most of all, fucck the police (especially you policewoman). 6 Likes |

Hezron Lorraine: Your problem still is having gays on the mainstream equals to decline of the heterosexual male ego.Gays don't celeberate any form of uniqueness, everyone has their uniquesness, gay or straight.it just happens gays have a higher level of intelligence and creativity.Hence you feel, gays need make themselves special. What spotlight are you overtaking? Is this what you could come up with. Pathetic. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Meet The Man Who Was Once The Most Powerful Gay Politician. by druid06(m): 12:23pm On Sep 26, 2013 |
Hezron Lorraine: Actually millions of straight individuals have got big problem with the existence of gay people.Wash their sexuality in your faces.elaborate pls? It wasn't used to being that way. When homesexuality first came into light through the modern world, it was had getting used to that idea because we humans were raised in this traditional point of view that a man befriends a woman and form a relationship. It was hard understanding the sexxual relationship between a man and a man or a woman and a woman. Recent studies have found out that today's society are already used to homosexual relationships and a good percentage of that number are accepting them. Take a look at the vast entertaining industry. Millions of homosexuals are thriving in that industry and are being successful without any prejudice from the society at large. Leading fashion moguls are mostly homosexuals and 'gay' fashion has generally been accepted into our todays world if you would agree with me. Heck, even the roman catholic pope gave a sermon subconciously accepting them as people into our society. This is a very big plus for gays out there because religion which was once a detrimental force and a deadly opposition to the existence of homosexuals are now giving homosexuality the checkers Now here's the problem. There are still heterosexual males out there who still hasn't gotten used to that 'gay' idea and they are mostly the ones you see on social networking sites basing their theory on religion but mostly the reason why so many hasn't gotten used to that idea is because of their lack of illumination and ignorance, religious extremist/fundamentalist and poverty. Ok, this is a side topic for another time as I don't want further derail this subject. Now, here's another problem. The few straight individuals who are openminded and has already accepted homosexuality as just a natural phenomenom are constantly being under pressure to revert back to the outdated idealogy about homosexuality by gays themselves. Your constant attitudes and incessant show for attention is so annoying that sometimes we beg to differ. You guys wants to be treated different, in another word you want to be treated special which is not right. You guys are not special and unique. Being special and unique is totally different. When a human can fly, it means that human is special and unique but when a human favours homosexuality as his sexual preference, it doesn't change who is he is. He's still human and not special and not unique. This is where the problem lies. You guys are trying to tell the world you are special and unique when you are not. You want special laws to be created for your needs. You want to be treated differently and special which is wrong. You ask to be treated with respect...Respect is not demanded but gained. Your attitude towards others gains you respect. If you act like a bitcch and want to be respected like a queen, it doesn't work that way. You don't go on social networking sites creating annoying threads about homosexuality and how you feel special and you think you're different and better than others and hoping straight individuals would like you. All the homosexual guys on nairaland have either created a thread about how being homosexual is cool and what not or commented on one. You don't see a straight nairaland dude creating a thread about being straight and demanding for respect because we don't need the attention. We know we're cool. I'm not sure if you got the points I was trying to pass across but in case you didn't. Here's a short excerpt of all what I was trying to say. If you're gay, just be gay and don't try to wash your sexuality on others. It's annoying. Just live life and enjoy being what you are. Don't cause unneccessary attention towards yourself. Don't ask to be treated differently and don't demand respect. Live and enjoy life like a normal human and respect would come to you naturally. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Meet The Man Who Was Once The Most Powerful Gay Politician. by druid06(m): 11:37am On Sep 26, 2013 |
I don't have a problem with homosexuals neither do millions of straight individuals out there. They are human like us ofcourse. What I don't like is them trying to wash their sexuality on our faces.. This is just the simple reason why the heterosexuals out there are just plainly irritated toward the gay guys. If only the gays could just live their lives in peace than trying to tell the world how different, special and unique they are and also, how they want to bend laws to their favor and how they incessantly demand respect from straight guys like it's their birthright. If only they could just shut up, straight people wouldn't take a second notice to them. It's just like a lion taking his nap and minding his business then suddenly, a hyena comes and start laughing and trying to irritate the lion just to get it's attention. You can imagine what would happen next. |

Ojigho: @thread. Please what has GEJ done for the Niger Delta for the past 6 years he has been both acting President and President? If you, @ Sincere 9gerian can't give me a detailed and comprehensive catalog of the "projects" he has personally gone out of his way to use his enormous might as the CIC and also a son of the soil to carry out to touch the lives of the Average Niger Deltan, then from this day,I'd begin to regard you as just a praise singer. I don't want to know the day and year marginalisation started in this country. All I'm saying is if there ever is a man that can remove the tears and suffering of the poor, give hope to the teeming number of unemployed graduates in the streets, rules the country with the fear of God with strict observance to the Constitution of this great country, let that man be president. I DO NOT CARE WHICH GEOPOLITICAL ZONE HE COMES FROM. If citizens all over Nigeria were this rational and unbiased whereas not basing their feelings on sentiments and emotions, Nigeria would have been a better place for all. |

The current command in chief is an imcomplete retardd and I'm using the word retardd in light sense. I don't know much about Nigerian politics simply because it's too barbaric for acceptance. GEJ has shown us incessant count of times that he is an incompetent leader. I do not need to start raising out points to further proof my thesis because we all know the political and economical dacadence we've undergone since he came in to power. His current governance has never in anyway assisted in improvement to the life of the poor and the middle class. It's only the rich and power hungry looters would support him for another tenure. I used to think the former president and winner of the 1999 election governance was the worst ever in history but GEJ made me change my mind. We need fresh air. We need someone who understands the needs of the masses and go out of his/her own to solve that problem. I don't care who it is but we need change. It seems the Northerners when embarking on any political ambition always have the problem of the masses on their mind. The short tenure of President Yar'Adua made me understand it seems the country should be better run by the Northerns. The only time I enjoyed the dividends of democracy was during Yar'Adua short tenure. The first thing that poor bloke did was to reduce the price of petroleum product by 50%. He pardoned and gave the Niger Delta militants amnesty in the right sense (without the excessive funds). Power improved grately. He really wanted to improve Nigeria and there was some schemes he was planning to embark on which was greatly going to improve the standard of living for Nigerians till they murdered him. It's so sad but the truth is we southern brethren are too filled with greed and personal ambition. It has taken two president from the south to show that we're never going to improve with a southerner as commander in chief. We need a northerner, we need change. 3 Likes |

lorretta u: Oh you have no idea the kind of person I am. I thought your whole post was just a joke till I read your meagre understanding about independent women. You're not just a thief but shallow and undeserving. Your whole idea about being independent is is for women to save money should incase a relationship (marriage) should not work out. From my own point of understanding, you enter a relationship having it at the bank of your mind (if I should call it that)it might not work out. It's just like a woman who gets married still keeping intouch with her ex just incase the present relationship (marriage) doesn't work out. I don't think you understand how pathetic you sound. Geez! I see what you're doing here trying to paint yourself in light as one advocating for women independence over men for financial means while your posts has clearly shown you're one of those girls whose own idealogy of a guy being reasonably economical is a definition of stinginess. You don't even understand what financial independence mean. I hate it when a girl would asserts all her financial problems on the dude when she has parents who support her financial needs and while there's a possibility of employment out there. I find it very irritating when a girl would demands from me with no self esteem like it's her birthright to buy her expensive items knowing my financial situation. I've come across relationships where both individuals involved were both students studying in the same institution and the girl's outright demands were beyong the dudes monthly wages. She does nothing for him except to nag like you're nagging about him being stingy because he chose not to live above his means. Material girls like you always seem to raise sexx as a point of concern claiming since you're giving the dude pleasure, he should always meet up to your demands like he's the only one deriving pleasure from it. It disgust me to see the moral decadence women had undergone for decades. It wasn't this bad with our parents. I understand there's no relationship where finance is not involved but when it turns into a do or die affair or an instant where the financial stress and responsility would be left for just the guy to handle, it raise a point of concern for me. My girl should be able to take me out once in a while with her own money. I'm actually not the outdoorsy type so a home cooked favorite meal of mine would suffice. She should able to buy me heartwarming gifts on special occassions not the usual underwears Nigerian women buys as gifts. If she buys me cheap items as presents, she shouldn't be expecting an expensive items as gifts on my part. There're still some nice ladiess out there no doubt who do not go into relationship for the financial aspect of it neither do they demand their partners for financial assistance like it's their birthright. Like common sense, those women are extremely rare. It's your kind I dislike and hate with so much disdain. Those chop and clean mouth bittches. Any woman who sees me as her financial breakthrough without possibly supporting me in anyway emotionally and what not is going to be on the longest ride of her life. I'm going to tap that asss like it's no man's business and when I'm through, I would make her feel like a common paramour that she is. Two can play that game, you know. The moral of this whole mumbo jumbo so far is any woman who goes out of her way just to make her partner happy is a keeper. Any woman who goes out of her way just to make me happy and shows that she cares would be met in kind. I would even go further, steal the moon, wrap it in a box, present it to her with my heart included just to proof a point and show that I care and I'm appreciative of her understanding and sacrifice on her part. |
