saphiere: Any man who invites a lady to his house and does not provide transportation fare is more useless than the lady who asks for transportation money. Why would you initiate a visit if you are not ready to take the responsibility?
Good question. I will give him transportation fare if;
1. I initiated the invitation. 2. His coming is for my own good.
But if he just wake up and start coming to my place uninvited he will bear the cost of transportation and even feeding.
We all know that no Nigerian girl will just wake up and start going to a man's house.
These men always initiate the invite. They tell the ladies to come probably for their own selfish reason so they should pay.
If the cost of pleasure is expensive, try the cost of displeasure Care to know why we ladies don't invite men to our places? It is because they are of no value to us. So it's needless inviting them.
Men NEED women while women only WANT men. Know this and know peace.
And concerning having apartment, FYI, over 70% of families in Nigeria today, the wives are the one paying the rents... Transport myself to his place and still get raped? Hmmm! Oga you try. DON'T ORDER FOR SOMETHING IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO BUY. THAT'S THE SIMPLE MESSAGE I AM TRYING TO PASS You don't reasonable thing to say. You tried to sound logic, but ended up sounding confused and f**lish. |

Family › Re: Why Do People Who Borrow Money Find It So Difficult To Return In Due Time? by Dshocker(m): 3:29pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
April396949: There are several reasons why people who borrow money find it difficult to return it in due time:
1. Financial constraints: Borrowers may be facing financial difficulties, such as low income or high expenses, which make it challenging for them to meet their repayment obligations. They may have limited cash flow or unexpected expenses that hinder their ability to repay the borrowed amount.
2. Lack of budgeting and financial planning: Some borrowers fail to create a proper budget or financial plan, leading to poor money management. Without a clear understanding of their income and expenses, they may struggle to allocate funds for loan repayment, resulting in delays or missed payments.
3. Prioritizing other expenses: Borrowers may have competing financial priorities, such as regular living expenses, essential bills, or immediate needs. In such cases, they may prioritize these higher on their list, making it difficult to allocate sufficient funds towards repaying the borrowed amount.
4. Overborrowing: Some individuals may borrow more than they can afford to repay, taking on loans beyond their repayment capacity. This can lead to a cycle of debt, where they struggle to repay one loan while taking on additional debt to cover their expenses, exacerbating the repayment challenge.
5. Lack of financial discipline: Some borrowers may lack financial discipline and be prone to impulse spending or living beyond their means. They may struggle to adhere to repayment schedules and make impulsive purchases instead of meeting their loan obligations.
6. Unforeseen circumstances: Unexpected life events, such as job loss, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances, can significantly impact a borrower's ability to repay their loan on time. These unforeseen events can disrupt their financial stability and make it difficult to meet repayment deadlines.
It is essential for borrowers to be mindful of their financial situation, create realistic repayment plans, and prioritize loan repayment appropriately to avoid these challenges. All these you listed are excuse, pay me my fvcking money. Especially at an agreed time frame to payback, you dey, dey list circumstances wey no go allow you fit pay, oga nothing concern me. |

GreatVocalist: It's not the truth, but an opinion. Sorry to say, but that is not a good opinion.
There is nothing shameful about driving a tricycle as a means to a financial end, if the cards are played well. There's no shame in starting small.
If a person can't support their partner in the days of little beginning, then it's a blessing in disguise when that person leaves. If you were in her shoes, you might do worst, so calm down. Nothing is bad in riding keke, but that should have been one of the least options to have chosen from, since there was finance to start up at hand. Resulting to riding keke, should be, if there was no money at hand and no help from anywhere. How you think it's okay for a woman to leave her man because he opted for something "below his social status" is beyond me.
You never know what opportunities will arise from his venture. Instead of you to advise him to hustle hard and not give up because of the emotional set back, you're here trying to justify the lady's choice.

Eriokanmi: All these are physical attributes which mean nothing. What of the spiritual aspect? Are you compatible spiritually? Would you guys last as couple and be fruitful in all areas? Most of those using physical and material attributes as yardstick for future partners end up regretting.
Last weekend, I was seeing a client on the island. They're very wealthy. If I mention the name here, this thread go full with attacks but it's not necessary. They have a son who's like 2 feet tall. He's in his 30s. He can't feed on his own. They always shut the door at him each time they're going for events. He's rarely known by the public.
Each time they see this guy, they always feel sad. Before you enter their house, you must go through all manner of security screening as if you're entering an embassy for a visa appointment. The wife is an epitome of beauty. She also schooled abroad as the husband. He's their only son. Marerial things and careers don't guarantee ultimate happiness in marriage.
See God's face before you marry. Also, don't marry because of material wealth or career achievements. Look at those successful people today. They had a history of humble beginnings. I never knew Dangote and Pastor Adeboye were never born of rich parents until I heard their history from Mama ijesha, a nonagenarian who lives at ijeshatedo area of lagos. Dangote came from Kano to lagos as a boy and was squatted by Mallam Maitama who happened to be mama ijesha's first tenant. She showed me their apartment on the ground floor the day I visited her. I bought my land from her son, who asked me to see him on his arrival from the UK. The woman said pastor adeboye once worked part time at her uncle's place, a popular cocoa merchant back in the days. One day, the man had to tell pastor adeboye to stop coming to work there so he could concentrate on his studies and gave him scholarship...many won't hear a story like this but the sweet sides when Dangote's uncle gave him money to start business and all. This generation is too materialistic. Na Ote money be the man naaaa, wey him pikin dey suffer from autism. |

LewisHamilton15: Late last year, the company I worked with decided to reduce workers as a result of the high inflation. I happened to be one of the victims of the mass reduction.
I decided to use my little savings to buy a tricycle so I can be using it to do town service but my fiancee outrightly rejected such idea stressing that my societal standing is above that. After intense argument I went ahead and bought the tricycle. Since that day she has not picked my calls, call me or come to visit me.
I have moved on. My brother, the truth be say, nobody wey no like better thing, and if you were in her shoes, you will do the same thing. There is a difference between being greedy and wanting a comfortable life. She sees no future in keke driving. Why didn't you use the money to learn a trade; A trade like going up North to buy agricultural products, and supplying down West, particularly Lagos. |

tonywonder: My friend's name is Funmi and she's been in a very serious relationship with an Igbo guy. He's nice, handsome and they've been dating for 2 years. He talked about her meeting his family and she was very excited little did she know that it would turn out to be her worse nightmare.
She met his mum and she seemed really nice, but her attitude changed when she realized my friend is a Yoruba girl. She immediately told her that she can't marry her son. Her reasons weren't clearly stated but she said she doesn't like Yoruba people. My friend's heart melted, hot tears rolled down from her eyes; She's Yoruba and she's in love with an Igbo "mummy's boy".
She spoke with him about it but he keeps assuring her that it would be fine. It's been almost 2 years now and the family are still not in support of their union. Every time she try to move on, he comes begging that everything would be fine and that they will get married.
She really love this guy, why she loves him she don't know because clearly he hasn't done anything to deserve her heart but... He doesn't have a good paying job yet, so she carter for most of his financial needs and even send some food to his village during festivity.
Just recently his mother called her parents to tell them that she can't get married to her son and asked that she should be warned to stay off her son. He has travelled to his village for a week now and honestly she doesn't know where she stand... She really love him but what should she do?

Ourtruth247: According to our history books, the 15th century was the first time Europeans "discovered" sub Saharan Africa and interacted with them. The sub Saharan Africans at the time lived in underdeveloped tribes and villages, a stark contrast to the Africans living north of the Sahara, that had built great cities and advanced means of transportation.
On closer inspection, this whole picture looks weird. How did every other part of the word develop advanced means of transportation, advanced architecture and advanced technology, yet sub Saharan Africa almost seemed like they were just begining their civilization?
My research has led me to a conclusion that lots of you will find interesting.

She doesn't tell me anything than greetings anymore. I hope she doesn't go on a revenge mission, by distributing it to guys, and if she wants to go into another relationship, she has to let the guy know her status, rather than infecting him. Truth is that, she has less than 3% chances of getting a non-carrier to date her, at such, she has to look for another carrier, so there won't be discrimination and other negative reactions that comes with it. |
