BlackViper:
Yesterday, I posted that I had lost my dad in a very sudden way.

He was an elderly man, but he was hale and hearty. He fell while he was climbing the stairs to go to bed at night and hit his head.

We called an ambulance, but even after they made us pay N100,000, they did not show up after an hour had passed. We were forced to drive to the hospital at 12.00 midnight where my beloved father was pronounced dead on arrival.

I've been comforting my mom and siblings all this while.

It was when I went to see his body at the Mortuary that I almost lost my composure because he looked so alive. There was a smile on his face and he looked so calm.

I'm praying for a miracle of resurrection.

I know that with God nothing is impossible.

I remember how in the Bible Paul prayed to God and resurrected a man who died after he fell from the first floor of a building.

I also know our Lord raised Lazarus from the dead after 3 days.

All I ask my fellow believers is to pray for the resurrection of my father as you go for Church service this morning.

I still believe in miracles and I believe it was not my father's time to depart from this world.

Please mods, be merciful and put this on the front page so as many people as possible can see it.

I'm hoping for a mighty testimony.

If it doesn't happen, I'm willing to accept that this is God’s Will, but I first want to appeal to God’s mercy and loving kindness before I accept His judgement.

Resurrection ke, young man, your father is dead, just prepare for his funeral.

I don't think, there is any celebrity that has taken more pictures than Genevieve Nnaji.

Secondly, if you look closely, these pictures are old pictures of hers.

And lastly, she has under gone cheek filers and her under eye area to look younger than her age.

Mrlegent11:
Is 100k Salary Still Enough to Survive in Nigeria? Be Honest

Let’s be real with ourselves—can ₦100k still take you through a full month in Nigeria today?

After rent, transport, food, data, and other small expenses, what is really left? In cities like Lagos or Abuja, ₦100k can disappear in just a few weeks if you’re not careful.

Some people will say it’s possible if you live a very strict lifestyle—manage your feeding, avoid unnecessary spending, and maybe stay with family to reduce rent. But for someone paying rent, handling bills alone, and still trying to save something, it’s honestly very difficult.

Prices of food, transport, and basic needs keep increasing, but salaries are not moving at the same pace. That’s why many people now depend on side hustles just to survive.

So let’s talk:

If you earn ₦100k monthly, how are you managing it?
Are you able to save anything at all?
Or do you think ₦100k is no longer realistic in today’s Nigeria?

Be honest—your experience might help someone here.
300k is a struggle for a single guy, talk more of getting married with it.
Romance › Re: Is There A Red Flag Here Already? by Dshocker(m): 3:37am On May 01
Coolis:
Been hearing of red flag, don't know if there is one here already.

Met this lady toward the end of last year in Maraba area of Nasarawa state. I reside in one-man villagers area of Nasarawa state while she reside in the lokogoma area in the FCT.
We 've been chatting. l realized she doesn't like typing much words so she doesn't give out enough information about herself. l decided we meet physically again last Saturday so we can get to know more about each other and that l would be coming to her area. I asked her to send me the address of where she stays in the FCT but she suggested we meet at one of the eateries in their area which l agreed.
She suggested ShopRite in Apo/lokogoma area and l said okay.

NOTE-
1, l like her a lot.
2, my income is about 100k in a month.
3, To and fro one-man village to lokogoma area in the FCT using public transport will take 5k or more.

I had about 15k on the day which l thought could take care of my TP and what she would eat. I knew eating out at ShopRite would be quite expensive than the regular eateries like Chicken republic and the likes.

I cut my coat according to my size. We agreed to meet at ShopRite by 3pm but l decided to get there earlier by 2pm to find out their food and snacks prices.
Meat pie and a bottle of soft drink N2500. Fried/jollof rice with a drink N6200.

I ate well from my house so as not to order their food. I also thought
that someone coming out for a date at an eatery by 3pm, would have eaten from their house and wouldn't order food but light refreshment like a snack and bottle of soft drink but l was wrong.
After a while of my friend joining me, l told her let's go to the service desk so she could make her order. Without hesitation, she told them she wanted fried rice with fish and a bottle of coke N6200. The moment l was told of her bill which must be settled before the food is given to her, l decided not to order anything at all but on a second thought, l asked they add one bottle of Schweppes(1k) for me. I know you will call me a SIMP here but it's better only her eat than the both of us to eat which would have taken all the money in my pocket and going back to my area a serious challenge.

When we were done at ShopRite, at our departure point, she was joining along taxi to her area, l gave 1k to her to settle the taxi man, she didn't want to take it but l insisted and she accepted it.

Now, here's is why l asked if there is already a Red flag.

I told her l would call her in the evening of the day, the l idea was to find out if she had a great time and if we could do it again soon. I called her around 7:30pm twice, the phone rang but no response. I called again around 9:45pm still no response. Then l sent a message to her on watsapp that it looks like l didn't measure up to her standard and that l couldn't believe she didn't answer all calls l put across to her. I told her it seems our meeting meant nothing to her.

After a few minutes later, she replied me that she went for a program that lasted more than she thought. That was why she couldn't answer. I replied her that she should have sent a message acknowledging my missed calls and l wouldn't have insinuated our meeting meant nothing to her.
I haven't reached out to her since then and haven't heard from her either.
Men and brethren, you have it all. What do you think? Is there a red flag yet? Should l still reach out and maintain contact or to forget her? Thank you
Trust me, it would end in regret.

Considering your income, you don't need to travel that far and spend much dating a girl way above your league.

I said way above your league, because you stay in Nasarawa, while she stays in Lokogoma area of Abuja, where she pays rent of N3m annually, and if i may ask, what does she do for a living?

Anytime I see guys giving ladies money as per relationship...

It breaks me..... I have never and will never give any lady money... As per romantic relationship... Except I am comfortable with you and the lady has spent on me...

Well you can call and apologize.... Maybe you two just had a rough start.
Stop deceiving yourself, just stop it.

Courtesy demand you pay for the date, you can only resist and interject when she is over doing the normality, like ordering for takeaway, or ordering way above your budget.

Or were you expecting she orders water?

Na you dey beg her to come spend your money be that. undecided

Back to the question I know I said I wasn't sure if it was red flag or not but on second thought. I think it is.

After eating Free meal she didn't even call to say thank you.

Use one eye dey look her for now!
Were you expecting he doesn't spend on the date, even you would do more than the op.

Family › Re: The Scary Truth About Marriage Nobody Prepares You For by Dshocker(m): 9:42am On Apr 30
marcusverum:
The scary thing about marriage is that your partner can wake up one day, tell you they are done and walk away.

What is terrifying is they can make that decision and you don't have to have done anything wrong. There is no court of appeal. There is no argument that will change a made-up mind.

If you rush into marriage you will rush out. Time alone does not protect you. Discernment does.

The best protection in marriage is choosing correctly at the beginning. Fix the foundation, not the cracks.

When choosing a wife be selfish. This allows you to selflessly discharge your duty as a husband.

What do you think is the biggest mistake men make before getting married?

— Marcus Verum
One of worst mistake one would ever make picking a wife, is by choosing her because she has a phat ass, big boobs, or because she has beautiful face, your regret would be televised on 3D TV.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Top Countries Controlling Critical Minerals Production by Dshocker(m): 6:10pm On Apr 29
As someone into export, i can categorically tell you that most of the resources listed here are found in Nigeria, and the Chinese come to Africa, buy and mine these resources for peanuts, take it back to China and process it there.

Nigeria is the country with the most mineral and natural resources, deposited by nature.

Omo, if you enter bush of almost all the states in Nigeria, the Chinese, Europeans and Americans are stealing our resources, and moving it out with private jets, some they use cargo planes.

Our government is not serious, they are focused on crude oil alone
Romance › Re: His Girlfriend Gave Him Money To Relocate And He Dumped Her by Dshocker(m): 9:27am On Apr 29
OredoPikin:
Watch the video
The money meant for her father sickness, she stole it from her mom and gave it to the guy to rent an apartment
Then she got a job, gather money with the guy for the guy to travel
Why are you lost?

All i am say is, for him to have travelled out, it means the money involved is over N20m.

And any one involved in a sickness that involves N20m, means it is a life threatening illness, and other family members are aware and involved.

So no amount of love who ever make a girl to transfer that amount to her boyfriend, and he starts processing his travel plans, which usually takes around, an average of 2 months before visa is out.

So while the boyfriend is waiting for his visa, does it mean the person that is sick wasn't receiving treatment, without the family not asking questions, until the said boyfriend travelled?

So obviously, this story was a concocted lies, that was fabricated to get views.
