hmmmmmm I can see some yeye guys here saying its wrong for the parent to arrest him.how is it wrong shey na him take care of her till where she dey now,her parent must have hand in anything she do before she marry. so for that guy they must punish him and I don't blame some yeye guys here. cuz they are lazy they want to reap in where they did not sow they just want to have wife as if they are buying poly bag.
Are you a relative? Why don't you say more tangible stuff than what you have written? So, because you parents raised you, you just follow their choices without reasoning... whoever you end up marrying is in trouble, guess you parents will be heading your home then

Frank Kokori #respect#warrior

We would never forget you.

This man shut down the whole country against Abacha in the heat of it all, in the face of imminent death.

While the likes of Abiola, Tinubu, Wole Soyinka, Achebe, Rewane, Gani Fawehinmi, Gani Adams, and e.t.c. did their parts, it was Kokori that held the balls of the country, ultimately the balls of 'el boss' Abacha -- dared the feared general, while others played safe, he could not run, he could not hide, he stayed, he worked, and looked the boss in the face "eye ball to eye ball" . . . put his life practically on the line, at the mercy of Major Hamza Al Mustapha's hit squad -- that's a man, that's a warrior, that's a man's man!

Tompolo come dey run for ordinary EFFCC that can't kill you, nor jail you indiscriminately.

Warrior ke? Stop revising accounts... according to kokori himself, he was hiding somewhere in yaba after his strike declaration till abacha fished him out and tucked him into a cell... bubu's doing the same as his friend

Leave catholics out of this.

It's all these new generation churches with "pastors" and "men of god" that do that.

Catholics no get time for long thing, always straight to the point.
Have never been a fan of the fanatical unorthodox churches but truth be told, the catholic church, its clergy and adherents have been at the forefront of segregation, sorrow, utter disappointment and division in their families, marriages etc and it even spills into politics... it is an appalling trend and I wonder whether just doctrine exist in the bible that your must discriminate against non-catholics, not marry them ... to stretch it further, if you marry, they will want you to marry in their church or summarily enslave your kids to their church...

Takeaways from the story

1.The woman was rushed in for an emergency CS.While she did not tell us why she had the CS......possible causes of the emergency CS could be Hypertension in pregnancy, among other causes.

2.Acute kidney injury is a common post-op complication...and that includes Caesarean sections too.

3.In my opinion, the woman had a kidney problem that was precipitated by a) what caused the doc to do an emergency CS. B) possible post-op infection....as it seems the wound did not close properly. c) immune reaction.

4.While it is sad that the woman now has a kidney issue.....I personally think it is not proper to blame the doctors for causing it. Right now...we do not have all the facts in the case. I am not defending negligence....I think that we should get more facts.

During my medical student days, a woman died on the operating table because of amniotic fluid embolism. It is a rare complication of Cesarean sections....and it just happened to strike at an unfortunate time. Doctor's fault? No.

Gbam... thank you
Everyone just posts online nowadays and expect us to believe their account
She obviously was rushed as an emergency to luth and someone saved her life... she was not booked with luth
she is confident of her facts, she can sue so that we can see how it goes but nothing she said here has indicted the staff... kidney failure is a common complication of emergencies especially those involving bleeding and infection
PoliticsRe: Astronomic Fall Of The Naira: President Buhari And Emefielle Should Be Blamed by dumodust(m): 1:19am On Feb 23, 2016
Elosky20:
devaluation of the naira will only make matters worse, devaluation works in economy like china which depends on exportation as a source of revenue. if u devalue the naira the dollar scarcity will continue since the country will nt be making money frm exportation and the black market will still increase the exchange rate because demand is higher than supply.
Jonathan devalued the naira when the oil price was averaging $60 per barrel btw january to march 2015 and still used $5 billion of our reserve fund to defend the naira, same thing happened in 2008 and the country spent almost $17 billion to defend the naira. So how much will buhari need nw to defend the naira nw oil is $28 per barrel. Or is it the policy that made the naira to fall then,
maybe using the word devalue was wrong, they shouldnt have totally restricted the dollar market at this time... We are all looking at the top but the economy is on the streets... companies that import still employ people, trade is being stifled, companies are declaring losses and a dollar scarcity was inadvertently created. You ban this and ban that without asking why nigerians import, its not just an insatiable desire, its because it may be cheaper on the long run to do so considering we have no stable power supply, no real support for local manufacturers except lip work. Now that you have banned dollar movements, where do they really source what they need from with the inadequate local content that may take years to come up and match supplies? Its so bad that you may not even be able to pay for software you urgently need. Then the hardship trickles down to the masses setting up a vicious cycle
I'm not against total dollar restriction or ban but this is not just the time, we do not have the alternative economic policies to support it right now, no one is talking or making a move for agriculture, no real power sector plans, nothing... then you rip away the source of income to employers and millions of nigerians that oil the street economy... its already getting late and our policy makers are mute unaware of the urgency and relying totally on a dollar ban to stimulate the economy. Utter laziness!!!!

You people keep blaming the governors.

The question we keep asking you is what did NOI and indeed the FG do with its 52% of the total allocation?
How can the FG try to remove the speck in the eyes of the state govts who only asked for 30% but leave the log in its own?
and you keep blaming goodluck while the economy is being driven by mad men that are experimenting with us. This cbn dollar restriction stunt reminds me of the ill advised plan to ban generator importation without fixing the power sector... talk of shooting yourself in the legs. We are so fixated on oil price while this dollar restriction is affecting trade, affecting profits and causing monumental job losses... let us first formulate an economic plan with some sense rather than loafing around and waiting for the oil price to miraculously rise...
the question they should really ask themselves is.... why are nigerians importing? Why is there no drive or incentive to produce locally? May God help us

The argument is not for or against devaluation. In all honesty, I'm all for devaluation. But that is not the point here.

The point here is that our the Naira is going down because of the sharp scarcity of the dollar. This scarcity can be traced to CBN's policy of July/August 2015 that caused lots of people do do away with the dollar in the economy and created artificial surplus of the dollar. As at then, I predicted that such move will backfire. This is what we are experiencing now. It is the scarcity of dollar that has made the naira to appear almost useless in value.

www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-02-18/naira-hits-new-low-on-black-market-as-dollar-scarcity-worsens
I understand your argument... they should have just devalued than create this ill advised scarcity that zapped the naira. Dollar restriction with no back up or clear economic bail out policy... crazy ineptitude

and who is Oduduwa and where did he came from, he fell from haven right, the Benin version of the history is more realistic, Oduduwa that conquered Yorubas is one of the son of Oba of Benin, Oduduwa cant fall from haven with a rooter and a palm fruits
the discussion has been very interesting so far and from the argument I have learnt a lot. I have noticed something... the benin rulers before oraminyan were called ogisos meaning 'sky gods' and in ife, oduduwa was said to have come from the sky... hmmmm... just food for thought. Imagine oduduwa suddenly appearing in ife with a rooster and palm nuts in a way that cant be explained- either because of benin jazz grin or more probably because the indigenes never wandered east ward
just my 2 cents
Let the arguments continue

The problem is you people have no idea what the job of a constitution is.

NOBODY is against the war on corruption, if any.

If Buhari keeps disobeying the court/constitution, the next president would be worse. If Buhari continues this way he would set a bad precedent for future presidents to violate the law by ignoring court orders. Eventually, our constitution and courts will become useless. We will then be back to military rule!. With that alone, Buhari would've set Nigeria back to the 80's.

That is the danger people!. This is not about Dasuki or Nnamdi Kanu, it is about your rights!.
Thank you my brother, you are truly a patriot

The title is misleading... these people have no convictions yet, legally they are allegations so whoever chose this title should thread carefully because in a proper legal system with a jury, this can be seen as a way of introducing prejudice in public opinion and judgement. Its similar to the police pictures that find their way to social media, strip people naked and everybody will believe they did it.
The legal system should speed up judgement

Why are you ranting on the thread? Have they killed your family members? Present your case in another thread then. My own case is the incident at hand... I insist that blocking the road with sticks does not justify murdering hundreds including women and children... then even moved further to attack their home at night reducing it to rubble... where in the sane world does the army do that? What happened to the police and restrained civil action? If them kill 5 people, it wont have raised such questions... be careful what you endorse because the next thing you know they are outside your house shooting because they feel justified by previous actions

I thought I was the only one in previous threads condemning this act, majority of Nigerians are barbarians and urgently need re-orientation for this country to move forward.
there is no way one can justify this act... even the official military statement sounded guilty and can be used to jail all of them including buratai. This fact finding mission proves that point, they're trying to cover up

No reasonable person should argue with a soldier in Nigeria let alone hinder their movement for whatever reason because you and I know what will ensues. However, I don't support the soldiers for killing them but it annoys me that they led to their own dead which could have been avoided had it been they didn't pelt at the soldiers when they were asked to leave the road
the soldiers were out of the barracks, and there is no martial law in place... so why wasnt the police called to handle the crowd? There is such a thing as unnecessary force and it carries a lengthy jail sentence... so if I throw pure water at a soldier I should be shot? Wow wow wow... what happened to a clampdown with teargas, shields and batons then arrest them and charge them to court? We are not being ruled by the military, they had no business attacking this people like this, this is so so wrong and sets a dangerous precedent nationwide... be careful of what you defend because it may meet you soon.
