Phones / Re: MTN, Globacom, Airtel, 9mobile Crash Data Price By 33.3% by durasome(m): 4:15pm On Dec 11, 2020
sunnybobonwa:

MTN, Globacom, Airtel, 9mobile Crash Data Price By 33.3%

Mobile network operators in the country comprising MTN, Globacom, Airtel, and 9mobile have all crashed their data prices by at least 33.3 per cent, New Telegraph has learnt. From the average cost of N1,000 for 1 Gigabyte (GB) of data in January this year, the cost of 1GB is now N666.6 on the average for a monthly subscription. Although the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, had, in a statement released yesterday, declared that there had been a 50 per cent crash based on a report he received from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), an independent check by this newspaper across the networks showed a 33.3 per cent reduction.

While there are cheaper packages, but with a limited period of use, an analysis of the monthly data packages of the telcos showed that MTN, Airtel and 9mobile’s N1,000 subscription offer subscribers 1.5GB of data, while Globacom offers 1.9 Gigabyte at the same cost with extra 1GB for night browsing. At this rate, the cost of 1GB MTN, Airtel, and 9mobile amounts to N666.6. This, however, is still slightly higher than the recommended price for 1GB of data by the United Nations Broadband Commission, which is proportionate to the income of the people.

The Commission defines internet affordability as ‘1 for 2’, that is, 1GB of mobile broadband costing no more than two per cent of the average monthly income. Based on the current N30,000 minimum wage in Nigeria, the cost of 1GB in the country should not be more than N600, according to the Broadband Commission.

Meanwhile, the minister, in a statement by his Technical Assistant (Information Technology), said the reduction in the cost of data was the result of his recent directives to NCC to put in place measures to significantly reduce the average cost of data. “The minister had inaugurated a committee that developed the Nigerian National Broadband Plan (2020- 2025) on 16th December, 2019.

The Plan was unveiled and launched by President Muhammadu Buhari on 19th March, 2020. One of the goals of the plan is to reduce the average cost of 1GB of data to a maximum of N390 by 2025. With the January 2020 baseline of N1,000 per GB, the maximum projected steady decrease for the end of each year was as follows: 2020 (N925), 2021 (N850), 2022 (N775), 2023 (N700), 2024 (N545) and 2025 (N390).

“In line with Pantami’s commitment to under promise and over deliver, the measures have caused the current cost of data to reduce significantly beyond the December 2020 projection of N925. Based on the report by NCC, the average cost of data as of November 2020 was N487.18, which amounts to N47.33 lower than the projected value,” the statement further read. According to the minister, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, through NCC, would continue to ensure that consumers enjoy a price regime that supports fairness and is friendly to consumers.

“Policies are in place to ensure that operators adopt competitive pricing that eschews unjustifiable margins. The general public may also wish to note that complaints about rapid data depletion are also being investigated,” he added.

National Chairman of the National Association of Telecoms Subscribers (NATCOMS), Mr. Deolu Ogunbanjo, said the cost of data has indeed reduced in the last few months and subscribers are happy about it.
since this week that I read about this, I have constantly been checking the code codes with which I use in buying data and what they now offer behold it's still same as usual in all the 3 networks that I use is mtn, glo and airtel.Or make I take am say my own lines no follow?

I met her at Iyana Ipaja Lagos few days ago.

She was new around there, I saw she was tensed and I inquired about her destination.

We were going to the same place, we sat together, I paid her t fare then we alighted and she was happy to give me her contact and expressed her gratitude as well.

I chatted her and noticed she was a bit dismissive, maybe she thought I was going to toast her, so she had to say she was married.

I believe the marriage gimmick just 10%. I have reasons for that.

ASIDE: She looks like "hustle" girl sef.

. Op the correct heading should have been, how the lady I met and wanted to toast changed it for me,cause from the chat below you started but she changed it for you.

Romance / Re: Small Girl No Dey Nigeria Again by durasome(m): 5:07pm On Dec 01, 2020
waywardpikin:
Dear Diary,

Today I want to talk about something that worries me deeply, and that’s the level of sexual perversion that exists in our society at the moment.

Yesterday I heard this phrase from three guys and a lady (at different times), which goes: “Small girl no dey Nigeria again.”

This got me thinking, what the hell does this mean? No be say I no like woman; I like woman, I dey straightforward. But I have limits, or standards, or a threshold below which I refuse to descend as it would feel like I have soiled myself. Maybe because I have gorgeous sisters who I worry about and try to take care of.

I have always known that we men are predators, but I never could fathom how serious this was until I had access to the Facebook of a young girl of about 17 or 18 who used my phone to access her account. Mehn! You needed to see the strings of notifications, friend requests and inbox messages that kept flooding in on a per second billing. Someone please tell me what all these men are looking for? Men of all ages, my egbons and the ones that are still coming up, all vying for the attention of this small girl who is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. The comments, the flattery, the attention, is enough to set any little girl astray if she gives into it. The girl doesn’t even have to be pretty, just have boobs and aşs and a nice shape and the wolves will be at your doorstep.

I ask myself, has it always been like this? The truth is that it has, as men will always chase women but social media has made things a lot worse. Another truth is that it is the sickos and psychos out there that are the most persistent. Believe me these guys don’t give up! Flooding your inbox or WhatsApp with meaningless messages. How about you get a life? How about you get yourself some standards? How about you stop thinking with your dìcks and leave people’s daughters alone? Sure some of these girls thrive on the attention and develop narcissistic tendencies as a result, but the men are ultimately to blame. I have seen and I have observed. As at now, no woman of any age is safe and this is the main reason why I’m not so keen on having a girl child not just in this country but anywhere.

Yesterday evening I was chilling with a friend of mine at a barbing salon when this cute, fair skinned girl came buy and displayed her wares if we are interested in buying (she was selling perfumes). We all looked through and I told her I didn’t’t have any money on me but if she gave me her number I would control her to my apartment so she can sell one of her products to me. Normal guy scopes though, I thought she was cute and wouldn’t mind getting to know her better if you catch my drift. After she gave me her number and left, one of the area guys winked at me and told me that the girl had two children and was living with the man as husband and wife abi wetin I wan call am?

He encouraged me to still run the package that nothing spoil as e be like say the babe gbadun my parole. Say I go just run am on code. But how could I? I just felt this bitter taste in my mouth and lost interest immediately. This babe couldn’t be up to 20, at the very highest 18/19. At what age did she start fùcking nitori oloun? And she on her own, I’m sure she doesn’t mind still going around fùcking other guys on ‘code’ as long as say she dey see shikini money on the side from all her exploits. This is why they keep reminding me that small girl no dey Nigeria again but I refuse to understand. My heart just won’t accept it.

There are a couple of small girls in a female saloon opposite my house who are quite fond of me as I do drop change with them from time to time, sometimes they act funny, like trying to get my attention or something, other times my friends who visit occasionally tell me that these girls like me but I just don’t see it, based on the fact that such acts do not even register on my radar. They are too young and too small and I feel like I’m too old which I may or may not be as I’ll be turning 29 in December. But man gotta give himself small brain and prestige, you can’t just be following everything in skirt or constantly thinking of your next lay. Girls need to be more careful cos there are a lot of deranged fellows out there and nowadays you can’t tell by age, sometimes the older ones who you should be respecting will shock you with how debased they are.

In the end it all boils down to money and sex, but are these things really worth it? How many people are you going to sleep with before you make enough money? And for the guys, how many girls are you going to sleep with before you realize that there is more to life that hounding the lives of small girls that are just sprouting breasts? If I talk they will justify it by telling me that SMALL GIRL NO DEY NAIJA AGAIN. And lately the girls have started singing the same song too. You tell her she is still a small girl and she gives you that same bloody phrase. The audacity of it all. Maybe it’s time I get with the programme and keep my views to myself cos people look at me weird when I get all preachy as they don’t expect that from me. But why must you go for girls that are so young if you’re not a weakling and a predator? Cos they’re easy targets?

And last but not least, where are the parents in all of this? Where are the mothers? Where are the fathers? Where is the voice of reason in the midst of all this maddening chaos that deafens me? The matter really weak me o I no go lie. May God bless us as we navigate the rest of the year. Say AMEN!

Till next time,

XOXO

Wayward Pikin.

.chiee guy you try small oo but by your write up,I want to know from you like how old do you think a woman should reach before she can be approached, from the little I know about a woman and child bearing, its more likely risk free if a woman start child bearing early say from 18 so that when such woman reach 38,she is done bearing children and life will then become jolly jolly for her, pregnancy related complications are more prone in older ladies says medicine. For me ooo a 19yrs to 20yrs old girl is old enough to run parole with.guys I no lie you personally I like them young oooo so long as they are within consent age.

Romance / Re: How To Startup a P.O.S Business that will make you Money every single day! by durasome(m): 11:11am On Nov 26, 2020
webmaster99:
Good day to you all,
one of the benefits of starting up a P.O.S business is the everyday patronage of various custormers that are eager to withdraw cash for their daily uses.

starting up a P.O.S business can be very profitable if you stay close to any busy locations like markets and other busy streets and major roads,

even if your location is closer to a bank its still possible one of this days their ATM machine can experience fault or un-able to dispense cash and you can really cashout big from this.

Look around you and see this new trend of quick money withdrawals and transfers,

its a business that will constantly keep on making you money as soon as people starts noticing you offer P.O.S services there.

This kind of business is new and not yet over crowded and thats why you need to rush in and open one today to start seeing the gains involved in it and smile to the bank on a daily basis.

Some P.O.S stands i know do make nothing less than #20,000 pure profits on a daily basis and some even in a much busier area makes 40-50k a day.

Its something that people are yet to know fully about and tap from this great oportunity that has just hit the nigerian market and institutes.

Let me tell you a little about how i got to know all this.

During the covid-19 lockdown imposed on us all.

It was a stage where we all encounted sudden sufferings and hardship making life unbearable for all to live by.

All business where shut down for good,
banks where closed down and their ATM stands where totally off.

It was a night mere for people and you know we all needed cash to survive on a daily basis.

Then came P.O.S on the rescue!

All trasactions and withdrawals where all done by P.O.S shops.

They had custormers que in lines waiting for their turns just to withdraw and have access to their money since banks are no longer working and out of service to dispense cash.

People where wondering how the situation would be then but by the special grace of GOD we all survived through P.O.S withdrawal services that made it even easier for us.

I will proudly tell you all that during those times of covid-19 lockdown the only business that made gains and still continue to operate where P.O.S shops.

It amazes you right?

they just kept on making all the gains why we all keep rushing to make withdrawals just to have money in our possession because it seems to us that this world would have been coming to an end soon.

It was all smiles for P.O.S agents and their partners offering us the services.

I would tell you guys that only me alone went to P.O.S shops nothing less than 25 times during that heavy lockdown.

It was a disaster to me because i can hardly stay a day or two without having some cash in my hands.

Mind you the more i kept withdrawing and making some transactions the more they kept benefiting from me one way or the other.

Because there was strictly no other way to access cash except using P.O.S then,

people had no choice but to accept the various charges been imposed by those P.O.S agents,

it was a saving grace to us all and no one will come out to say he never made use of P.O.S then.

Even up till now we are still even making use of it by various forms.

Some times our banks may have some serious network issues warranting us to go make use of P.O.S

its a form of transaction that can never be negleted in this period of a time.

Now guess what?

I have researched more on this P.O.S business and have found out that its a business that sells on its own.

Just imagine the millions of people that made use of P.O.S during the lockdown and calculate the gains and profits they must have made.

This kind of business is a cool way to make money on a daily basis even on sundays.

All you need is just to open shop and bring out your banners advertising you offer P.O.S services there and BOOM custormers are trooping in to ask for withdrawals and other transactions in by which you charge them for it.

Some P.O.S charges can even go up to #500 per withdrawal depending on the amount involved.

Some are less and some amount even more!

One thing i love about this business is that you can even open one and employ someone there to help you manage the place.

Or better still you do it yourself,

its a cool business in the sense that it will surely give you money on a daily basis and also giving you time to do all other things without stress.

Some P.O.S shops are even decorated with fans and televisions that you will even feel at home while the transactions goes on.

Its fun going to the P.O.S to make withdrawals nowadays.

lol,

but the truth is that you too can even open one if you know how to go about it,

this book will show you all you really need to know from getting the machine to renting a shop and also to start the transactions,

its a book for those that needs a side hustle or maybe you want to finally go into it on a full scale.

Its your choice,
this kind of business can really be done by anyone and its a surefire way to generate a guaranteed daily income,

even without the use of generators or NEPA light.

you can still get this business to run!

do startup this business for it pays on a daily basis!

you can get this for #1000

Why didnt the government of Muritala request the funds transferred to London. There is no way that money that huge will leave the shores of Nigeria and not be noticed by the succeeding government. Also, he came back to Nigeria and nothing was done about it.
I am not defending nobody. This UK parliament man was probably a child when this thing happened. We need strong proof to verify this actually happened. Verbal assertions is not enough. We were sure of what Obasanjo did. We had proof of what Abacha did. So let the proofs come out.
..you must be a member of gowon family.keep enjoying the money but remember there is God oo.

Effected keh? Such orders are effected right inside the court there. His security would drive away without him as court security takes over. If he's not in Kuje now, he should be on his way. Once the pronouncement is made not even the CJ can reverse it at that point. If Ndume's sleeps in his house today, it will amount to ojoro.

Very painful indeed. I hope he did not allow himself to be used by the crooked and deceptive Maina. Everyone avoided Maina and Ndume graciously risked his name.

The same fate could have befallen Abaribe in the matter of Kalu Orji. Abaribe ended up losing his N100m to the court.
.well it will be welcomed if he sleeps in prison so next time he won't have to side with a criminal.

.I doubt if this order will be effected.cause since nnamdi KANU has refused to return for the continuation of his trial, nothing has happened to the individuals who shorteed him nothing just works in this country, the rich gets away with virtually everything.

Drama at University of Ibadan as non-academic staff celebrate exit of Bursa

There was a mild drama at the University of Ibadan as members of the non-academic staff celebrated the exit of the institution's bursary, Michael Alatise.

A video posted by Galaxy TV on Friday November 20, shows the union leaders and members in front of the Bursar's office with brooms, bells, other items, singing and chanting various slogans.

It was gathered that after the celebration, they swept the former Bursar's office with brooms.

Accorsing to a journalist, Kunle Ojo, who witnessed the incident, members of SSANU and NASU described the tenure of the bursar as unpleasant adding that he made the institution inconducive for the non-academic unions.

The chairman of Saanu, University of Ibadan, Wale Akinremi said the bursar, a former member of the Union, neglected members of his constituency while in office adding that he contributed in the failure of the outgoing administration of Prof Idowu Olayinka.

Other members of the non-academic unions said the exit of the bursar marked an end to tyranny and unfriendliness in the institution calling on other top leaders in the institution to learn from the way he has been treated by the unions.

Omo, with tears in my eyes and hunger in my stomach, I'm eating this rubbish below tonight as I watch football all alone in this house.

My female friend just left some minutes ago. Hunger is killing me here. After the rubbish below, the next thing is wine and groundnut that I stole them from a shop during #EndSARS.

Please, when is another #EndSARS starting? I want to steal more.

I need a job — hunger is killing me.
.you are just mocking people who don't have anything at all .must you eat a whole horse before you know you are enjoying. I pray the hard time you are wishing yourself doesn't come to you.

Good morning Nairalanders. I sure know you all fine.
I am writing this with heavy heart.
I know we have super rich people here who rose from poverty to riches.
This life isn't balance. Done with school. Been working as security administrator in my church and I earn 80k. I have beenplanning on getting married. Have met my fiance Parents, they were happy. I have engaged her she is happy. All of a sudden the elder brother who isn't around is angry that I haven't spoken to him about my intention. I have earlier tried his line severallly and it isnt going through. Had to chat him and he told me I am not serious that I should grow up. A bullet in my heart.
Her mum has suddenly changed and is accusing me for not calling her always.
This whole drama has gotten into my babe now she is talking about us suspending our marriage plan and try improving our income. (she is learning a skill)

I am fed up. Have suspended everything now. I have tried everything since I left school last year to improve my income. Apply for jobs here and there. Is just not cutting in.
Please, share your experience on how you were able to get out of this average life as a Nigerian. Advise me and others still struggling to rise up.
You can recommend jobs for me.
I studied history and Diplomatic Studies.
Have some certification in Leadership and human resource. Trust me, I can deliver on anything legal. I have the capacity, but haven't gotten the opportunity.
Patiently reading.
. Your own is better you have 80k to manage monthly what about those who are not seeing anything at all, as for the girl just think about how to make it oo what most families wants now is rich in-law if she wanna go please let her there is always another woman out there, sounds like you are still young to know that these thing call love don't work without money so get money first mehn.
