Simple. Add a good quality step up transformer. I work in an environment that was originally American in most of its appliances and had to contend with Nigerian 230v.
Some of our step ups are large and central like in the picture attached but some are quite small like 1kw etc

Many factors could be responsible. I recently got a "transformer" based inverter touted to be 3.5kva. Experience have taught me to test ALL electronic assertions before routine usage. So I installed and very gradually loaded the system with equipment with known capacity. Lo and behold actual capacity was about 2kw at peak. That means if the inverters is routinely used at max 60-70% of capacity, then that will be 1.5kw max!! I Jeje adjusted my expectations and planned load on it. Imagine an end user that just loaded equipment, thinking 2.5kw plus is within specified limits, nah numerous error code be that!!!!�
Hybrid600: I have a friend that owns a solar shop and he was so bitter coz about 5 different transformerless wall mount hybrid systems have been returned with different error codes and getting a repairer for them is not easy.
Does it mean transformer based inverters are way better than the transformerless wall mount inverters?
Juror: Is the felicity inverter you're referring to, the IVPS model? The type in the picture I attached to this reply? Do you know it's idle/no load consumption?

ceaser: You may both be right with your guesses. From my experience with the kind of inverter odimbannamdi sells, the switch is usually hooked to the metal housing of the inverter rather than to the board. Two wires then go to the board via a JST plug. So the problem may be at a point of soldering of one of the polarity wires, it can also be the metal parts inside the switch. To repair it or apply for refund depends on the op.
And @dollarnaira had reservations about your approach especially addressing him. I believe you may have responded to the post with your own suggestion without even referring to @dollarnaira at all, that is if you don't approve of his own response. There is no way someone with ample knowledge of solar on this forum will be ignorant/have zero knowledge like you maintained.
@ odimbannamdi, is the inverter 24v with ample capacity to handle a deep freezer, I might just pick it up. I may not be needing the metal case for the application intended for which means I will eventually cut open the stuff and bring out the organs to DIY an all-in-one hybrid system for a remote site.
Obviously nothing in life is perfect. I have been using Gennex products for about 6 years now. I have both the 3.4kva and 5kva Hybrid. The 5kva was just commissioned in February 2021 in another facility and working well. However, the earlier 3.4kva has been beleaguered with repair needs and despite two visits back to Gennex ( lasting months each time before I could get my inverter back and about 100k spent on logistics and repair costs) it's presently down again after working for only 4 months or so after last repair. Total active service less than 3 years. I am just tired of the inverter sef. Always board issues. The same load I was using it for, a 2kva Prag and a 2.5kva Felicity (transformer models) have both carried it without stress at different times. Presently, it's the 2kva Prag holding forth
omimisolar: Gennex inverter are original voltronic inverter than Growatt , sorotec. On what ground is that recommendation? They all have their teething issues.

You've identified the problem partway. The voltage of the gen is too high for starters . My experience is that some inverters will not use any power source that the voltage is unstable, above 250v or frequency less than 45Hz . You can attempt changing the gen's AVR and see
dammodee911: Recently installed a 5.5kwh Smk hybrid on and off grid inverter system coupled with 4 units of 12v 200ah blue carbon lithium ion lifepo4 batteries and 8 450watts mono solar panels. Everything seems fine, but the only downside is that my 9kva firman 12990esr generator can’t seem to charge it. So far only the solar and Nepa light have been able to charge it. But with the raining season on full mode and epileptic power supply, I really need the generator option. My installer said my generator frequency isn’t enough, this is a generator that comfortably powers my 3hp inverter standing AC and 1.5hp inverter AC. What can I do pls? So far from the inverter screen, my gen produces btw 275 -285v and btw 48 - 50.5hz. Shouldn’t this be enough to charge the battery?

Saw many videos online. Longevity is a major issue. Seems to be a hit or miss situation. Its an experiment that the answers come in years.
tetralogyfallot: they work very well but fails overtime if water starts dripping inside the cells. It's usable in dry season but starts declining immediately rain starts falling on them. I've watched a video on YouTube where a guy was suggesting using a laminated film to coat it, it also fails overtime during intense hotness of the sun as the laminated film starts peeling off. Just use it while it last.
i have had that issue, I bought this liquid polyurethane/polycrylic gloss or satin, brush off all the glass particles and dust, and apply in uniform coats,, it will harden after some time to give a hard transparent finish, if done properly, you could get some years usage from the panels. google and watch youtube videos to know more
Good evening house. Is there a way to repair broken panels? There is a project ongoing somewhere and I noticed as the panels were being offloaded that some panels had broken glasses. Is there any way the could still be useful? They are 450w panels and quite a number of them. I am wondering if one can cover with new glass and seal the edges to prevent egress of water if that will work? Just thinking ........
A year plus and not much to add. I initially added the whole 600amps Ritar bank back and used it like that for about 3- 4 months, then took 200amps out to use somewhere else. About a week ago, I took another 200amps out. I noticed the ones I took out recently were weak BUT fairly much like the present state of their colleagues I took out of the bank about a year ago. The last 2 Ritar is still paired with the Lithium and still meeting my needs as my household needs have reduced a bit. So that is it. Union of unlikely bedfellows.
durodee: Good morning house, I was recently faced with a challenge. I have a 24v 5.4kwh LiPO4 bank and a 600amp 24v used Ritar battery bank. Tested alone the LiPO4 did not meet my daily need. It will usually go off around 2-3am (when I personally need it most!) and the used batteries much earlier at around 12mn at times. I was discussing this challenge with a friend and he told me he connected his LiPO4 and SMF bank together(in parallel) to the same busbar and that has resolved his problems. So I checked online https://community.victronenergy.com/questions/19981/mixing-lead-acid-and-lithium.html and realized many others have tried it with the pro and cons, different charging and discharging profiles mainly.
So I connected 200amp of the Ritar to my lithium bank to test run. I also used 28.2v bulk and 27.4 float charging profile on my inverter and CC. All connected yesterday evening. I was able to use the system overnight and even ironed with it this morning, however I was aware there was grid supply at some points overnight and therefore I can't say if it works or not.
It is early days yet. The risks are shortening the lifespan of the lithium and undercharging the lead acid but based on what seems to be happening as described by others, due to the BMS, lithium charges and discharges first and the lead acid charges and discharges last.
I will update the house on my experimentations and hopefully, no big bang episode!

If you choose to ignore the other video, please rewatch the 2nd video slooooowly, he talks about non-inverter acs and the fact that the compressor switches off which you should know that power is being saved then.
If you are still not happy with that explanation, note that most credible inverter ACS will tell you that they save you 60% of what a traditional AC would...you can do the calculation to see how much KW that would be in the 2 videos sampled.
But my real advice is try to sample it yourself and come and tell us what you get...lets stop easy assumptions.

AndroBlaze: Not sure why NLanders keep safely assuming 1horsepower= 1kw....argued with a total idiot a few days ago on this and you need to see how he kept forming knowledge he clearly did not have.
If those ACs are split units and are really 1.5hp you will not use close to that 36kw. 1hp is actually between 735- 745 watts, so theoretically 1.5hp will be around 1.2kw, so doubling it it would be 2.4kw an hour and less than 30kw for both in the 12hr period; but trust me you will never use that much because of the way ACs work (in particular splits), especially when you are using them in the night like you suggested.
To make it easy, watch these 2 videos below of a 1.5hp ac and 1.5ton ac (1ton = 3.5kw, but this is another argument). Please look at the results for the total draw in KW for the periods tested. (Noticed video 1 blocked, try and watch it on youtube, easiest to comprehend)
In my opinion you will not use more than 24kw at worst for those ACs in the night, but I would really like those who use splits here in the night to tell us what their draw is if I am wrong.
Cakkie, the problem with Nairaland is that if you pose a problem, many people will respond based on the information available to them. Most meant well but it will be so difficult to separate rubbish advice from good advice. I have decided to post again to save you some emotional distress.
That wound did not suddenly turn that way. You had an initial wound that healed with a scar. You were not happy with it. You approached someone who injected the scar with TRIAMCINOLONE ( a very very strong steroid). Obviously both you and the "injector" did not know the power of the drug and what dose/dosage to use. You were overdosed and also the injected site became infected which was double wahala. The wound form a scab which you peeled away leaving you with what you have. A wound with initial central necrosis and extremely retarded healing.
Now in such case, it takes about 3=6 months for the tissue affected to recover. It is the body that heals itself not the medications you apply. Stop buying and applying all the potions being suggested because it won't work. If you have money, then maybe you can try some. Just make sure you got it from a real hospital this time but I doubt even if it will do better than real honey.
Lesson to learn: Leave some scar Alone!

Looking at your first post about the initial scar you had injections of Triamcilone (Kenalog/Tranalog) on the scar. That was what caused the scar to form fresh wound and to break down more. The function of the injection is TO SLOW DOWN WOUND HEALING among other uses. So plan for another month or two before the wound will heal AND DONT MISUSE THE INJECTION AGAIN!
You can dress the wound with original honey and make sure you check your blood for increase in the sugar level as Triamcilone causes the blood sugar to be high. All the best.
Pls my wound have refused to heal despite applying various medications on it (chloramphenicol, ampicillin, penicillin ointment, injection powder).
