Mine disconnect once you are downloading or streaming. In fact, network disappears from my MiFi.

OP, in case you've never left your Portharcourt before, this is normal everywhere there is checkpoint in Nigeria. And like the poster above said, you can't make or receive calls at checkpoints.

am using ntel currently. their wawu sim. their download speed is almost 2MB. i had like 65gb then. now that i cannot check my data, i dont know what is remaining

Do you get up to 2MB/s around Gudu? Because i've not seen up to 500KB/s for more than a week now at Gaduwa, Prince and Princess, and other surrounding areas.

Both are functional in Nigeria.

Global rom is the variant with hardware built for the Chinese market but flashed with global rom/software. It works perfectly here but only lacks LTE band 20 (which is not needed in China). This band is used only by Smile & partly by MTN. Note MTN use band 3 too so you'll still have MTN LTE signal.

Global version is the variant with hardware built for the international market. It already has the global rom/firmware factory installed.

Least I forget the global version is slightly more expensive due to the extra band but we that don't send we rock the global rom variant, no time

MTN doesn't use band 3 but band 7. Just thought I should correct that.

Damn... that's fast. I've tried browsing at Area 1 and some other places where network is very good, but it's always slow. Maybe it's my sim or something. But imagine adamix getting that kind of speed in the day time, that's very impressive.

I believe those in PH are on a different server from Abuja and Lagos. This kind of speed is not possible anywhere in Abuja these days. Trust me, I've tried ntel in places where coverage is extremely good.

To be honest with you, there is little to no hope for you. Your RN5 has entered brickland due to ARB(anti roll-back). It's always important to READ, READ, READ and READ before manipulating your device. In fact, READING extensively can't be over emphasized.

There are different "data only" plans and I do that of N3000 for 48GB, twice a month. You can decide to subscribe for any but I discovered the 3k own has more value.

Does the wawu plans still do those intermittent stops when downloading? Because that's why I prefer the unlimited plans.
