What I actually found strange today is the information that INEC declared Ihedioha winner after cancelling APC votes in 388 polling units. They cancelled the voice/votes of over 200,000 voters just to be able to declare Ihedioha. I’m really disturbed that it took the intervention of the Supreme Court to stop such a fraudulent move. I shiver at the thought that they almost got away with silencing the electoral choices of over 200,000 valid voters.

I'm in total agreement with your views. The problem is very disturbing. Hopefully the INEC will have the will and actually guard against such heinous acts by its field officers - or any officer at any level - in the future.

If only the NASS - along with the executive - will help sanitize the system by putting in place an electoral legislation that mitigates all the major loopholes we currently have to grapple with...

I'm confused about this supreme Court ruling due to the absence of details,what n how exactly did the supreme Court came to her decision viz a vis the tally of the votes scored by the candidates in the elections?, without details the ruling appears to be a forceful move by the Apc to penetrate the south East through the use of federal power to manipulate or predetermine legal outcome where it suit them which is very dangerous for the country, actually personally I was expecting the lmo elections to be declared inconclusive n a rerun ordered in some areas considering how questions were raised about the lack of fulfillment of the electoral requirements by the initial results,so please if there is anyone with detailed information I will like to be enlighten please.

You've answered your own question - wait to read the reasons adduced by the Supreme Court for arriving at the judgement. Stop jumping the gun with all these conspiracy theories and a locked mindset.

So the court has the power to add or subtract from a candidate's score during an election. Why was an independent election body set up in the first place? Did the court monitor the conduct of the elections? Did they have representatives at different polling units? Do they know why those scores were deducted?

See JAMB questions! So why do you have the judiciary in place to adjudicate over disputes? The judges are there to resolve those funny questions you're asking. Or do you for once believe anything is perfect, including INEC?

You need to develop a thick skin and remain undeterred. Be confident in the knowledge that there are a lot more low-class human beings than there are pretty smart, sensible, and erudite ones; so there will always be a lot more people who will misunderstand and attack reasonable posts.

Already, I can read some forward reasons put forth by some posters on this thread already. A plausible one is that INEC had in fact cancelled APC votes in about 381(?) polling units; that the SC re-added those illegally cancelled votes and the APC then came on top.

Like I already said, all conspiracy theorists should just hold their horses and, like the rest of us, await the reasons the SC ruled the way it has done.

Wrong analogy. Those who championed "O to ge" in Kwara State - including Lai Mohammed and Gbemisola Saraki - were never 'Bukola Saraki's godsons or daughters, just like Oshiomhole was never Igbinedion/Tony Annenih's godson. Ironically though, it is the publication houses themselves - particularly the Independent - that are perpetually prodding and going to people like Galadima to grant them "sensational" interviews. That way, such publications get clicks and attention and thereby qualify for advertisement revenues.
