He's being careful not to be misunderstood by intolerant APC government. Even at that I will not subscribe to his candidacy. There was so much wastage and corruption during his term. In fact if it was not due to his shortcomings, Buhari wouldn't have come in. |
Nearly impossible with current set ups even though it is a good move to see if anything little could still be salvageable from the drowning country. Again "nearly impossible". He should be rather encouraged to resign respectfully. |
What goes round comes round. Both sides have genuine claims and excuses. None to be sided. I take a walk ![]() |
That's his own opinion even though it is not going to solve Nigeria ethnic division worsened by the way this APC government northernized appointments. The principle of power rotation is the best for now until Nigeria become more civilised to know that state of origin should be expunged, and that Nigeria is in deed a secular state. |
When round pegs are put in square holes in a bid to satiate tribal interests, it often lead to setbacks. How on earth would one believe DSS exists with all the killings and kidnappings going on in Nigeria? |
Glorifying "bad boys" from sexual satisfying perspective is weak. From experience, one constant factor with nearly all women is "money". That's the confidence and security they want! |
PDP is very poor in opposition. |
If this recent development is correct, then Okorocha is an embarrassment to sane humanity. How greedy can a man be? In fact, if it is true he should be prosecuted. Kind of OBJ/Transcorp era, duality of interest. |
If he was to be arrested because he sprayed money, then thousands of Nigerians should be arrested who does that nearly every week. However, his sacking for a video of him spraying money to a charlatan is well deserved. Some of these politicians have no idea the sanctity of the office they occupy. |
Something needs to be done about Nigeria party system. It is not really grassroot-driven rather controlled by few elites who masquerades as representative of grassroots. They call the shots within the party and own the whole party structure. That doesn't allow proper representation. It is not fair to serve as member of House of reps for years, governor of the state for 8 years and now again senator representing a section of the whole you have governed before. I don't understand, is he the only best in Bayelsa West? Is he truly the people's choice? |
Benesis:Based on unfolding reality it is not a bad thought. But the danger is that the country will slide into a one party system if care is not taken. I still think strong opposition should be encouraged as part of democracy, to keep the ruling party in checks. It will be a bad omen to the nation that the only realistic chance you have to lead a country is only when you align with ruling party. That's not how Buhari came to power! |
So nobody can freely tell Buhari to his face that his keeping these military men in service after their retirement age, is destructive. |
Despite all your fights and intransigence, which Buhari benefitted, do you think you have made the best decisions? I don't think so. |
Of course, it is for sight seeing and catching up with friends. ![]() |
Trouble in the North. Whatsoever a man sows, he shall reap. |
Sometimes, I wonder what goes in Buhari mind ![]() Is he not due for another longer medical check up(he can take as much holidays as he is legally required) so that Osinbanjo can deputize and move things forward hurriedly before Bubu returns. |
NGpatriot:All your defences of MC Oluomo et'al and insults on all differing opinions, doesn't still make your principal a role model to our youths. Go on and blow the roof... . You don't give what you don't have. If anything, it sums up temperaments of some characters on this forum especially the already destroyed and blinded minds, so terribly uncivilised and uncouth. |
stonemasonn:Yes, I agree. Unfortunately, today's two main political parties don't have the capability and will to put a "serious president". After all, both parties are the same with zero ideology to pull Nigeria out of its present predicament. We kind of running a pseudo one party system. |
Nigeria kind of politics is politics of bitterness and betrayals. The worst offs in the whole game, are the massive naive followers who gains nothing from the endless deceit. Tomorrow, they are friends again ![]() |
I don't simply understand why Nigeria is seriously bent at destroying itself. When round pegs are in square holes, it leads to set backs. Nigeria is suffering today because the right people are not placed in the right positions. Today's CBN policies seems more of commercial bank oriented than people oriented. In fact, I no know again ![]() |
Tinubu boys on the beat always, with Igbo this, Igbo that.Haba! Is Igbo the only tribe in Nigeria?Obsession ni? 60years of Nigeria independence and we are still talking about who Igbos like or hate? Abeg leave politicians to go about their things and stop spewing thrash on who likes or hates Tinubu. What about who Tinubu likes on behalf of your region? Definitely not Igbos! |
Every living being must die but good names lives forever. |
Yes of course, in autocratic government you can prosecute anyone or group of people that protests or demonstrate against government. So why not? |
Where is Buhari sef? Is he in the country? He seems invisible. Now the northerner have started seeing, or may be wailing, but is it now too late? |
Tinubu is making his moves...strategizing and closing up loose ends. |
It's better the NA eat the humble pie and get mercenaries to help execute BH war than pretending and wasting more time and money prosecuting a war they conceded they will not win even in next 20 years. |
Even the Army Chief is indirectly saying he can't win this war before the tenure of this government ends. He has run out of ideas. Just like a football player on the pitch asking the coach to replace him in a subtle way. Meanwhile, I thought such statement like his, is court martial able? |
Nigerian youth taken on another ride. These Buhari appointees never reason independently so that they don't loss their jobs. It is right to call them zombies. |
DonHummer:Sense wan kill you . Three gbosa for you. See the bolden above, it is irrefutable and the best mentality every Nigerians should have. Quality! |
APC govt and lies are inseparable. They lied themselves into power but cannot sustain the lie. The wind has blown now, and we could see the fowl yash. The truth is that they have nothing to offer. |
Na wa ooo! Somebody defect to another party, come dey fear his friends and allies who no follow am. If you come become Obaseki nko who some of his appointees stab for back in the heat of his battle with Oshiomole, you will sack everyone. Take am easy ooo Gov. Umahi. You now have too many political enemies in your state alone, not to talk of SE. |
The North would hardly raise a finger against the current president, regardless of his shortcomings of which they suffered most. They are so obsessed with power remaining in the North, that to ask Buhari to give way for another person to lead, is like taking their breath away...even if the person is a northerner. |
