oil has never been the problem. The problem starts from Independence we got independence too early when most of us were illiterate. Please just look at it which one will Nigeria be more developed on a current part or on the part if we never got independence up to today. If we never got independence up to today Nigeria will be like Canada Australia or New Zealand. Because of our illiteracy mentality agreed we have to vote for ourselves this is why we are in this mess and all of us know in Nigerian can do nothing for us but we still go and vote for him

Now that we are relatively "literate" however we still think and behave like so called illiterates of the past. In fact, were they not better than today's wonderful leaders . See, we've refused to move forward and doesn't want to thinker with what is not working. We don't even understand ourselves after half a century of being forced together. We have showed enough patience, enough hope, enough faith in Nigeria but what we have failed repeatedly is to get to "work" on Nigeria.

If a sick patient complains that the first therapy is not working or has a side-effect, do you as a doctor keep on giving him same therapy hoping that the patient will heal? No, otherwise you will kill the patient. That's the situation of Nigeria.

I disagree. You can't keep on doing same thing and expect a different result. The way Nigeria is structured today, it can never move forward with so many variables that cannot balance. We need to coalesce into groups with similar thought-process and idealogy, then work on ourselves with a common goal. How did we even arrive at current structure? By a military fiat! After 50 years it is clear that it is no longer tenable.

Now this one. Who is behind this? Why are these individuals senseless and allowing themselves to be used like this.

Only very few of them are indeed fairly okay. More than 25 of the rest are just waste of time, money and space. Even if they govern for 16years, they'll remain who they are, visionless and irredeemable.

That's the way to go. Follow your heart and belief and don't be a blind sycophant. Never follow a man against your own convictions. It is a honorable thing to part way if the two interests clashes.

Like a caterpillar that will later turn to butterfly so will Nigeria be. All your wishes toward 200 million Nigerians will never come to pass, because we never wish other countries death. Rather we help them in their time of difficulties and calamities. Ask Liberia, Sierra Leone, SA, etc. If you have any score to settle with someone, please channel it to that person and not the whole nation.

More reasons why we need to restructure to regions so that some regions can adopt crescent or cross as their preferred logo. You see why one shoe fits all, current structure cannot accommodate all our differences. Even America that we copy, is not this centralised.

Bureau of statistics has said only 4 States in Nigeria can survive without statutory (free money) allocation, championed by the Federal Government, Which Eastern State In Nigeria can survive without Federal allocation? Lagos State’s alone internal generated revenue in 1 month, surpasses the whole south east combined for 6 months, people from eastern Nigeria will suffer the most.

They have no resources other than small oil in Abia, & imo states, coal as fossil fuel that made the east relevant in the last century is basically worthless today, they can’t even use the large deposit of coal in their region to enhance electricity generation? Lack of innovation.

Forget statistics! Before oil there was Nigeria. Let each region grow their area of comparative advantages. In fact, zero oil money is a good problem so that the people can think outside and beyond free money. We need to get out of this grasshopper mentality that have locked us down for half a century. We need to build and develop competence in what we do best.

Buhari had this "northern agenda" in his heart all these while before being elected. When he entered office, he didn't pretend about it...surprisingly he got re-elected in 2019. My guess is...its gonna be like this till 2023, unfortunately.
