@Stilldude, you said I was also one time, a member of the cult! - of Africa AKA ConfranternityMy guy, you jumped from frying pan to fire. By the way, I am a christian. I do not have to support 419 charlatans to prove my christianity. |
Good - the charlatans/fraudsters are now attacking each other. More please ![]() |
@Stilldude You have repeated the crap about him not getting money from the church, where does it come from then ? You have been going to his church, why dont you tell us ? His children studied abroad on the back of your tithes and offerings while most of his congregation cannot afford good schools in Naija for their kids. Do you think that is christian like ? In any case 'studying abroad' does not qualify you to minister a church, I studied abroad, so do I qualify as a pastor ? Maybe I do, hmm , ![]() Your answer to the university question is nonsense, you will agree. f the school is been funded by the church why is it more expensive that government ones. What do you mean by free giving is not borrowing ? In case you dont understand what a credit card is - it is probably the most expensive form of borrowing. So because I am giving moeny normal financial rules dont apply ? Oyedepo is a fraudster and charlatan. I really cannot believe the numbers of people he manages to trick/fool/rob. I really hope that he is exposed sooner rather than later. Yoruba people have a saying ' A child who is not taught at home, will be taught outside' - if the christian world will not deal with frauds and cheats like Oyedepo, the secular world will do it for us. |
@Defenders of the fraudster Oyedepo I see you are dodging my questions, here they are again: 1) Where does his money come from - if not from your tithes and offering ? Before you say oil rig or some other nonsense make sure you tell us the name of the oil company. 2) Why are his children in charge of the churches in London and New York - is the annointing now family based ? 3) Why do his/your universities charge more than public ones if the money to run them is coming from tithes and offerings ? 4) Why does he condemn borrowing - yet you can donate online to his church with a credit card ? Lastly how can he or you call yourselves christians and think there is some genuine explanation for him/or your church owing 4 planes in the midst of so much poverty!!! |
@Obamat Before you start running your mouth, why dont you answer the questions posted above above ? |
By the way, I just saw this on Sahara reporters : Oyedepo's school was sued when a student died http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5495762-146/story.csp |
@Defenders of Oyedepo 1) Where does his money come from - if not from your tithes and offering ? Oyedepo's actions show that he is either very reckless at best or wicked and heartless at worst. In a country where people die from malaria, typhoid etc our 'prosperity churches' do not open free hospitals instead they buy planes, expensive cars and build universities. You have people earning less than N20,000 a month who are pressured into giving 10% of this to the church - then the church leader goes and buys a plane. Is that not wicked Is his need for the plane greater than the need for the poor man to educate his children or take them to hospital when they get sick ? |
People who still attend this guys church must be very stupid!! |
@Snowy So you believe Jo's claim of raising someone from the dead ? If he really did this, do you think he will have time to be typing in this forum - he should be inundated with people coming to him for healing, abi ? Why dont you people think a bit before writing nonsense ? @Joagabje Where and when did you raise this person ? Was it covered on the news ? If not, why not ? Such an occurrence surely cannot go unreported. |
@Joagbaje You cannot prophecise in the abscence of truth - you did NOT and can NOT raise anyone from the dead. So pls dont come to this thread and say you are 'sharing' prophesies. |
@Mabell How can his prophesies be exact and precise if he avoids peoples names and often country names as well ? Have you watched his videos on youtube ? with the casting out of demons - laughable!!! |
@Donlittle We dont need to condemn him, he has condemned himself - by having three planes when most of the country are living below the poverty line! |
@Snowy Thats more like it - you like all your other apologists refuse to answer the real question - why do your properity preachers demand tithes (on the back of threats and multiple returns) only to spend the money raised on luxuries You cannot answer that question, can you ? |
@Snowy The Lord gave it to them as an inheritance, if you have a problem with how they spend this you can petition God in prayer. No need for a fit As an inheritance to buy planes and luxury cars ?? I am sure of one thing - one by one these prosperity crooks will be exposed - Odulele, Eddie Long, Benny Hinn, Peter Popoff , |
@Joagbaje By the way Jo, do you still stand by your claim you raised someone from the dead ? |
This story cannot be true of course. Why ? because she says she saw an 8 year old in hell because he used to watch violent cartoons and did not obey his parents!!! Utter nonsense!!! |
@Snowy I initially thought you had some reasoning behind your arguments - but I now realise you are just an apologist for the prosperity crooks. You could argue for tithes but still acknowledge that it is wrong to spend peoples hard earned money on luxuries., instead you are giving me some abstract nonsense about 3 types of tithes. You say 'what do I for the poor' - I say I help those in need around me. What do the prosperity preachers do with our tithes (apart from spending most of it on luxuries) ? |
@tbjfansuk Do you really think that the God you serve will use his prophetic messages to announce the result of football matches Think about it!!! |
@Snowy Regarding donations to charitable cause - the 'non prosperity gospel' world does a lot more (Oxfam, Medicin Sin Frontiers etc) than our 'prosperity churches' - so that is not an argument. How can they have money for charity when the pastors are busy buying Rolls Royces and private jets (Redeem, Winners Chapel, Creflo dollar for example) ? |
@Snowy You did not answer my question. Why do pastors have big cars and planes if the tithe is for the poor ? |
If he is not faking why does he always say 'Pray for Nigeria' - then afterwards if anything happens to Nigeria, he can say see I told you so. I could say now with confidence 'Pray for India' and I could claim I was right when something happens inevitably in India - something always does. If he is genuine he will say 'something is going to happen to Mr X' - and not some vague crap. |
@Snowy You said the tithes should be for the poor - very good. So why do all the preachers who tell us to pay tithes have big cars, homes and now private planes ![]() |
I have just read the wikipedia article on Winners Chapel - no doubt edited by someone from Winners chapel. In it, the church is said to own 3 planes (one listed in forbes ) and is currently building a hanger worth $2.5 million. All this in a country where the 70% of the population live under the poverty line. 3 Planes ? Why ![]() ANY christian that can defend this is both stupid and wicked. |
Did anyone notice this from Joagabje - he said: My greatest desire is to raise the dead. I have prayed for couple of dead people but didn't have result, but I finally had a dead lady rise, I just ministered to some sick people that got healed, the power of God was still on me , when my Capenter came crying that I should excuse him to go home, that he was just told that his sister just died, they wanted to take her to the mortuary and they wanted him to be there. (I had just read the book. MEGA SHIFT. if you read that book , you will have faith to raise the dead) I asked him if she was born again, he said "no" I felt compassion that she was going to Hell. I prayed in tongues . I asked God to grant her another opportunity for her salvation. Then I put my hand on his own. I blew air on it. I told him to lay his hands on her and command her spirit to come back into her body. He went and do it and she rose up. Every body shouted. They later took her to hospital for check up. I had to rush there and fulfilled my own promise to God by leading her to christ Come on Jo, now I know you are a joker. You raised a dead woman ? You must be deluded! |
@Joagbaje I am currenly laughing my head off - you are now claiming to be a healer. ![]() A number of things 1) You have been proved on this forum to be a liar - God cannot use someone like you to heal 2) If you are really a healer as you claim - why do you spend all your time on Nairaland - shouldnt you be fasting and praying ? Shouldnt you be overwhelmed by the sheer number of people coming to you for healing ? Or do you only heal partime ![]() Now that you haved outed yourself as a healer, what church do you do your business from ? I am still laughing as I am finishing this |
Why ? Do you want to send him 'holy water' ? ![]() |
@Mabell Who sent you to defend the 419 charlatans ? ![]() |
@Frosbel They will avoid it until they can find a convenient lie to try to counter the obvious. |
@ogoamaka99 Should we not be trying to get the frauds out of christianity - we know there are frauds because Christ himself said so. If I open up a church tommorow and I start to collect tithes and suddenly buy a house, cars and a plane - should i not be subject to scrutiny ? It is a bit childish to say MOG (or Men of Fraud as some of them are) should not be scrutinized. Oyedepo says no to borrowing, but collects donations by credit cards, Ashimolowo asks for donations in dolllars (in Ghana), Odulele abuses kids, Oyahkkilome banned from broadcasting miracles, I could go on and on. I did not make these things up - they are ALL FACTS. I can show you where they are if you like. So it is my duty as a christian to publicize all these despicable behaviour and stop them before they mislead people. I will keep doing this and you can throw childish insults and threats all you like ![]() |
The story according to Mabel is Bishop Oyedepo is a known giver he is not living off the money of the church. I’m aware that several years ago after so much sufferings, he learnt the secret of sowing seeds. He once carried some money and took it to Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa, Idahosa told him to pour the money on the ground and begin to walk on it which he did, then Idahosa went ahead to prophesy that Bishop Oyedepo will not lack money and that all the days of his life will walk on money and money will be his slave The secret of sowing seeds ?? Sowing it to who ? If these charlatans preach help the poor, adopt an orphan, build free hospitals - I will understand. But they always want the tithe to come to their churches, why ? Read this: The Sheep and the Goats 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” |
@Defenders of prosperity gospel What you guys are advocating is that if you live good and give 10% of your income to charlatans - then you are guaranteed good health & riches. In that case why do people that go to your churches share the same life expectancy & poverty levels as the rest of the population ? Why ? Are your church members not following their leaders teachings ? When you start showing me cases of drivers, domestic staff etc becoming millionaires after attending your churches - then we can talk. Until then, keep fooling yourselves. |

Is his need for the plane greater than the need for the poor man to educate his children or take them to hospital when they get sick ?
