Scotland and Argentina must end in a draw to kill off the best loser chances of Group D. If Scotland wins Argentina, then they will qualify by virtue of their fair play and less booking record. A single goal by the Scots will tally the -2 goal of the Super Falcons, so fair play will count at the end. The same scenario will play in Group E with Cameroon vs New Zealand, where a victorious teams books the fourth best loser spot. So the best chance of the Super Falcons is that both matches between Argentina vs Scotland on one hand and that of Cameroon vs New Zealand should end in a draw. Also we should hope Chile doesn't defeat Thailand by a 3 goal margin. My take. |
The fight is between Hope Uzodinma of APC and Uche Nwosu of AA. I tip Ararume's APGA coming third because of Okigwe zone. Ihedioha and PDP can only win the three Mbaise LGA plus Ngor-Okpala. But this contest is between Hope Uzodinma of the APC and Uche Nwosu of AA. Both are from Orlu zone but will definitely get chunks of votes from Owerri and Okigwe zones. |
Viergeachar:Fashola and Osinbanjo that cannot lace Amaechi's shoes talk more of Orji Uzor Kalu. Don't compare them to Rochas, na insult. |
Gandollar:You mean leave you, don't mention Igbo there. Everything about us must not be about PDP. Go and learn politics and interest. |
bencr7:Yes, defend him. Go and sit down, everything about politics is emotion for most of you. |
baysol:Yoruba Commonwealth! See him mouth. Go and grab the Lagos na. What happened to Ibadan. Yeye dey smell. |
Where this Hanks Anuku dey sef! Nollywood really missed this guy. |
Yoruba why? Revisionist everywhere. When NADECO was hunted by Abacha didn't all of you ran away to America? Except for Alfred Rewane that was shot and Kudirat Abiola, how many of you stayed behind. Igbo nationals of NADECO all stayed behind to fight the junta, many were detained, some were killed. |
tosodus:Ok! I just confirmed it now. Thanks

Lagos paid 13000 today for the Presidential elections. Amuwo-Odofin LGA was my unit. Haven't received the 4000k feeding and transport allowance yet. Even the 4500 training fee was paid to few Ad-hoc staff in the Inec office, my own RAC in Satellite Town hasn't paid us yet but told us that we'll definitely get an alert for all payments soon. But now I'm seeing only 13000. Was wondering if the 13k is inclusive of the 4000k and not the final Inec payment. |
I'm not losing sleep concerning this election. Atiku Abubakar is the incoming President of Nigeria. |
This guy has said it all! Like for Atiku and share for Buhari if you agree. |
When I see able youth's of my generation cue up to support a failed Buhari, I shake my head in disbelief. I asked one the other day to give me reasons why Buhari should be given a 2nd term in office and he kept talking about Atiku. That Atiku is a thief, that Buhari is trying to clean up the mess began by Atiku and PDP since 1999, and that PDP is frustrating Buhari in his fight against corruption. After hearing such comment, I simply left him alone to wallow in his ignorance. I felt no need to continue the discussion with him because he had already made his choice and wasn't worth my sweat. The first thing that comes to mind about such fellow is that he's just a brainwashed illiterate roaming the street. But No, this guy isn't! As a matter of fact he's a Master's degree holder and heads a division in a private company. He appears an intelligent guy but just as others, this guy has been brainwashed by tribalism and political propaganda. But on a serious note, the worst thing that has happened to the psyche of Nigerians since 1999 is the Buhari presidency. The Buhari presidency energized tribalism and religious differences in our country. In 2015, the APC rode on the change mantra on it's victorious charge to Aso rock. After winning the presidency, rather than unite the country and bring everyone together to move the country forward, the Buhari led government began making utterances, and actions that showed it wasn't prepared for governance. The first blunder was the 97% and 5% victory speech. Under no circumstances should a leader of a nation be allowed to make such utterances, he was supposed to be the father of the nation and not a sectarian leader. God knows what he would have achieved as President had he brought everyone on board. But he failed woefully in this task. The Second was the indecisiveness of the government to constitute a cabinet for 6 months, this act singularly led to the collapse of the economy. In few months later, the cost of living skyrocketed. Inflation reared its ugly head, food prices soared, the naira fell, companies shutdown and unemployment reached a record high to the extent that 14 million jobs were lost under 3 years in power. Thirdly, under his government, nepotism and tribalism became a way of life. The appointments became alien to the quota system championed by the same north and all heads of major parastatals, both the military, police, customs, immigration etc were from his region. When criticized, his foot soldier's and sycophants justified it with the 'singsong' that a President should be allowed to choose people he can trust, even if they all belong the same Village as him. Imagine! and this was condoned. Four, the corruption fight of his government became a charade. Despite all the arrests the APC bragged about, not a single person was prosecuted and sentenced by the courts. Rather, the DSS, EFCC, Police and Code of Conduct tribunal became a recruitment ground for persecuted opposition politicians to join the APC and be free. Akpabio and Obanikoro are examples. Lastly, the spate of ethno-religious crises, banditry, farmers/fulani herdsmen clash, military extrajudicial killings and insurgency reach an all time high. It was under the watch of the President that the Benue massacres, the Mambilla Taraba massacres, Zamfara massacres, Kaduna massacres, Plateau massacres, Katsina massacres, Shiite killings, IPOB killings, Boko-Haram onslaughts were carried out. The fight against insecurity and corruption was Buhari's political mantra in 2015. He campaign vigorously on this two ideals. But from all indices, he didn't fulfill his promises and doesn't deserve the next level he desires. Buhari has failed! Under his watch Nigeria became the poverty capital of the world. Ineptitude, nepotism, tribalism, hate, ethnic killings, hunger and unemployed became an identity associated with him and his party. Never since the 1966 civil war have we gotten this low. Buhari is bringing nothing to the table that we've not seen before, except maybe dictatorship and civil war if he wins. As for Atiku, he still remains the top challenger to Buhari. He was only VP during his first stint and it will be unfair to judge him based on Obasanjo's performance. It's akin to blaming Osinbanjo tomorrow for Buhari's disaster. When we all know that Buhari held the knife and the yam. I hope Atiku wins this election and if he messes up his own case will be easy to handle, than the present warlord in Aso rock. Atiku is a civilian and a democrat in the mould of Yar'adua and GEJ. His won't be dictatorial as the military man in civilian garb currently. Four years should be enough to judge performance and not the nonsense next level we see or 4+4 sign a failed leader is campaigning for. Our democracy will only work when politicians begin to understand that getting a 2nd term in office is not a birthright. When done this way, the likes of Sowore, Moghalu, Durotoye and inclusive of You and I will get their chance in few years from now. A vote for Atiku is a best decision we can make at this stage of our democracy. Vote wisely! |
List was manipulated, didn't find my name despite applying both online and offline and taking part in the 3 days training. 80% of trainees couldn't find their names. Learnt Inec with the aid of APC and PDP written names dominated the list. Left home 8am to the Inec office, was denied the Inec Ad-hoc Oath declaration form because I wasn't on the doctored list and had to wait till about 7pm before a concerned SPO gave me one. I filled the form with my passport and left the Inec Office at Festac by 9pm to Satellite Town RACO near my home. Slept in the RACO with other Ad-hoc staff, got frosted by the cold all because I wanted to do Inec work and have my name on the list. And after all my sufferings, got the shocking news by 1pm of the rumored postponment which later became true. Went home by 5am disappointed but still hopeful come Saturday next week. |
Amuwo-Odofin LGA will paste the names of successful APO's and PO's on Friday. I got this information from the Inec officials at Festac today. |
Nonsense and idiotic post! Get a life. |
Long overdue! Mass Communication is too complex a course to study. Specialization becomes a problem for graduates. This is why mass communication certificate holders are called 'jack of all trade, master of none', because you can't really say which field they're good at. Nice move by the NYC and professors. At least those who want to study journalism and Media studies will be taught proficiency in writing and reporting from the onset. And those who intend becoming screen writers and actors will be grounded well in act of theatre from the onset. Rather than studying everything and becoming non-proficient in a given expertise. |
Abimbola007:Read carefully before rushing to reply my post. I said the best state in the north central in Infrastructure, education and security and better than most states in the SW, SS and SE. In particular order Ekiti and Osun, Edo and Ebonyi. I know you're trying to be mischievous despite reading my post. Argue with your keyboard. |
XaintJoel20:Some of you just stay in your cave and type nonsense. Who informed you that Kwara state hasn't enjoyed the dividends of democracy. For your information I served in Kwara state between 2013-2014 NYSC Batch B and can confidently tell you that Kwara towers above every state in the north central, most states in the SW, SS and SE in development projects. In industries, education, infrastructure and security it's sets the pace. Saraki remains the best Governor in the history of the state and it will take a maverick Governor to beat him. The only issue with Kwara politics is the marginalisation of Kwara South, payment of meagre salaries to civil servants and concentration of infrastructure and agro industries in Ilorin and to an extent Kwara North. |

It was celebration galore as the PDP campaign train led by Peter Obi in company of Jimi Agbaje and Oghene Egoh the honourable member representing Amuwo-Odofin in House of Representatives visited Tradefair Complex Badagry Express Way today. Pictures and Videos.

I wish I can change my surname to my Grandad's name. I currently bear my Great grand father's name and it's long in pronunciation and weird. My siblings all changed theirs with my late dad's approval as at then. But before this change was made I had already written WAEC and gain admission into the university. So I found it difficult to make the changes till now. But as time flies out each, I get angry with my self and bear hate towards the name. |
SeargeantGutter:He's mixed. Mom white and Dad Black. He's also a first cousin to popular female popstar Mariah Carey. |
GEJ! |
sharpsecret:Kanu was never against the north. Infact he was pro-nigeria and pro-unity even going to the extent of openly participating in a London unity rally in support of GEJ regime for that purpose. Thanks to YouTube for keeping video history intact. He has been rewarded handsomely by his sponsors and has left other sacrificial lambs to languish in prison. May God help them. Well, Each time I see the beautiful pics rolling out from both the Imo, Anambra and Enugu thread, reminding us of what would had been had we foolishly allow Kanu and his band of zombies lead us to destruction. Thank God it failed. For now, let us continue to celebrate our cities and how far we come since the civil war. Nice job though Abagworo! |
Sambisa Forest. Jesus! This Americans no go kill us. ![]() Anyways, Atiku try small for this 'Articulate' wey him write, him really show say him go school. I still dey find the article Baba 'No cerfiticate' write. |
Ofodirinwa:I never supported IPOB's leadership under Kanu because I saw from the beginning that it was politically motivated. It wasn't about the restoration of Biafra, but to use IPOB as a tool to cause massive civilian unrest and destabilize the efforts of this government, just as APC used Boko-Haram and Okah's MEND to ridicule GEJ's rule. My stance became justified as events have turned out to prove the reality. Just like like every true Igbo, I was simply sympathetic to the Biafran cause, not for greed nor politics, but because it was the ideal thing to do. But ever since Kanu and PDP's diabolical plan for our people became exposed, I changed sides and became rational. I believe a maniac cannot come from oblivion and help destroy all what we've suffered to build since the end of the civil war. If Nigeria is going to disintegrate, even if it happens in the next 35 years, but let it happen naturally without us being labeled the scapegoat (part 2) by our enemies and targeted for extermination again. However, my sympathy goes out to our youths who foolishly swallowed 'dilectors' propaganda and were used as human shield for his excape. |
Ofodirinwa:I have always known that your interest in Biafra restoration was fake. Both you, noble zone and other cowards. I also know that many of you changed your old monikers just to achieve your evil agenda and deceive our people. Expired politicians - of which you belong - all ran into IPOB to cause disaffection and deceived many of our youths into rebellion against Buhari's government. Cowards who could not sustain opposition against the ruling regime all switched to IPOB and Avengers, Swelled it's ranks into an army of war ready youths and used fake propaganda to deceive our innocent boys to die for a battle they had no idea about. The blood of our boys slaughtered on the altar of political greed will forever hunt you and your sponsors. FFK, Fayose, Wike and Nnamdi Kanu inclusive. |
AK481:Mazi is an Aro word. But has become generally used in central Igbo as mister. The same as Oriaku for Mrs. |
Some fools here are masturbating over an 'Okute' title given to an Ijaw man by his people. Abeg count the Igbo nation out of this madness. IPOBians and the rest fools dragging us into this childish mess and unity begging galore should seize henceforth. @Ofodirinwa and other IPOB dumbs should stop dragging us into their foolishness. I will prefer you use your village names to drag kinship with Ijaws, but please desist from using the name 'Igbo' in your naked dances. |
Okoroawusa:Wike seems to be the fool here! I see a conspiracy by my governor. Most of the boys that Wike is going after are not really cultist per say. There is a grand plan by this demon to destabilize my community before the 2019 elections. Onelga is Amaechi's support base and Wike knows this. Only time shall tell. |
