Your sisters marital status is not your business. What she does with her life is not your business. The pictures she posts on Facebook is not your business. You seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be minding other people's business. Are you jobless? Please engage your mind and go and get married if marriage is what you came to do in life. Leave your sister alone. If she has issues with your parents, they are her parents too. They will resolve it. Get busy and get a life of your own.

I can't understand why most people don't read between the lines. The OPs tone is that of resentment. His sister is a terror at home and he is wishing she'd just get married and leave the house for them. If her attitude was better, the OP will not be here complaining about his sister's marital status because there are so many older single ladies living with their parents.

The long and short of it is his sister's attitude sucks, is giving his parents a headache and he wishes she'd get married and get the hell out of the house for them so they'll peace of mind.

His choice of words are extremely judgemental and quite frankly, they rankle.

He obviously isn't married and doesn't know the first thing about marriage - so he's in no position to school her on why she should get hitched.

And yes, her marital status is definitely none of his business.

Your goal is to quiet your mind, to stop the (obsessive) stream of thoughts. It's only possible for a few seconds at the beginning stages.
So sit down in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. Wear comfortable clothes, set the alarm for 15 minutes and close your eyes. It's important that you feel comfortable. Breath in and out. Try to let go off your thoughts by focusing on your breathing. Your mind will wander off again and again. It's ok. The moment you notice it, focus on your breathing again. Then your mind will wander off again. Don't beat up on yourself, just be happy that you caught yourself thinking again and focus on your breathing. It will repeat itself until your alarm rings. Very normal. It's not possible not to think for 15minutes but it will get better with time. The thought free moments will become longer and longer and you will learn to control the direction of your thoughts, concentrate better and re-energize. You will feel more relaxed and stronger. It's best to do it every day because through meditation you connect with a deeper level of your soul. There is a lot of power in silence.

Enjoy! Don't make hard work out of it. Play with it and enjoy.

There is no right or wrong in this. Everyone can do it.

This is such good advice. I should bookmark it. Somewhere airy, spacious, and quiet - before the rest of the family awakens - like my back garden should do.

As a Nigerian, this is such an embarrassing article to read but perhaps we need such embarrassment to realise we're being short changed and scammed by our so called "leaders".

This is what we need to see and maybe, just maybe, it might prompt our leaders to sit up and do the right thing. In the meantime, credit should be given to the Ghanaians for achieving this and setting this much needed example of what we too as a nation should be aiming for.

Hi Good and well thinking people of this forum, please I need your urgent and best advice. No Insult please.

The issue now is that my old girl friend is a very nice person, have sacrificed alot for me and this relationship; please guys I just don't know what to do.
