BKayy: The president ran away. Only few UN/US imposed politicians are still hiding in Kabul using brainwashed/Westernised traitors as human shield. The real Afghanistanis that know who they are have since surrendered to Taliban without a fight Too many regional players, so it will be near impossible for the Talibans to capture the entire country. We also have some shia populations who are likely to get support from powerhouse like Iran. Pakistan is one demon that should be tamed before they burn the entire nation. We should stopped blaming the US, the Talibans are no saint. |

Meaning, whatever Ologede says will happen, will happen Meaning, Ologede Dont mix words,
Ologede here is African civet. Thanks. from your breakdown, it looks like the name has two different meaning in Edoid and Yoruboid. No such word as Ologe in Edo lexicon, closest we have is Ologbo which means cat. Ogedegbe is a popular name down here and I've been struggling to give it a translation. |

Also, Owa people don't sell their daughters, doesn't really matter if he paid zero kobo or 5 naira, the major thing were already done. |

Every ethnic group in the Delta have got some kind of unique and weird dance. Some months back, I made a thread about the power dance of the Urhobo people, today, we will be having a look at the fire dance of the Itsekiri people of Delta State. The fire dance is a supernatural dance by the Ajagbugbu group that involves stepping and dancing on burning fire without getting burnt. The dance is presented on special occasions, like the burial of an OLU or the crowning of a new king. Watch the video below: https://web.facebook.com/476829076028289/videos/1130790027399227

MadamVanessa: Great one there.
Lovely
I hope tomorrow you'll not tag your brother wizard . I My Dad was single handedly trained by his elder brother, but today my Dad turn against his elder brother by calling him wizard. Because he's better than the brother that trained him, reason the brother wants to kill him. When we were so young, we believed my dad. But when we grow up, i personally came to realized that all what my dad was telling us was a lie, that he was actually the cause of everything.
I regret for having so much hatred for my uncle back then, to the point that if i see him, i refused greeting him, never did i know that my father was the actual wizard here.
He deliberately have problems with all his siblings, niece and nephews, so that no one can come to his house and beg for something, or seek for financial help from him. And my mum wasn't even helping matters. She secretly blew the flame.
You don't allow your blood people to come to your house, but your wife people come anytime and go any time they wish. That's stupidity to me.
I hate my nuclear family, but i love my extended family. I love you uncle, and i am very sorry.
Though i am not hating my parents, but their actions towards my uncle and his children is what breaks me down.
Modified
For those asking about my relationship now with my uncle. I can say that the bond between me, my siblings and him is stronger now. There's no month my elder sister and me and my brother do not sent him money. He collected it with so much gratitude. That man is truly a good man. I am just sorry for him, the way we treated him back then, as the result of how my dad painted him in our presence. I wish i can apologize to him everyday. Thanks for sharing this. |

Useless Aboki were fooling themselves that their groundnut was used to fund the oil exploration in the East... which yeye groundnut again? Midwest and some some states like Ondo were also top palm oil producers then. It can be argued that the Eastern region produced more, but Delta, Ondo and Edo were very rich in palm oil. |

Investor137: My brother Efewestern, I want to correct something, Escravos (Ugborodo did NOT emanated or originated from Illaje, I solemnly disagree with your fact, and Ugborodo does not pay ancestral homage to any external origin or whatsoever, or rather reverse is the case ( eg Agorgboro) Agorgboro is an illaje dominated community sharing boundaries with Ugborodo on the shorelines and internal landmarks, but Agor is own and controlled by an Itsekiri community (Deghele) while Ugborodo (Escravos) is an 100% itsekiri origin and occupied. The name Ugborodo means a farm/Land in front of an ocean. I stand to be corrected if am wrong my brothers. Thanks for the correction. I've met some Itsekiris from Ugborodo who have said they share same linage with the Ugbo people in Ondo, reason for my initial exertion. So if I may ask, where did the Ugborodo people migrated from? We all came from somewhere. Also, does Agorgboro Identifies as Itsekiri or Ilaje? Is there any Itsekiri enclave in Ondo you might want to educate us on? |

The Itsekiris were birthed from Bini. The Binis even influenced the Yorubas.
Go and read.
I'm an Igbo man BTW. Facts should be told. I think you are wrong with this fact. The Itsekiri were river dwelling people united by a Bini prince. Before the coming of Ginuwa, the people already existed. The Bini only united them, reason why to become an OLU, your mother MUST either be Bini or Itsekiri, but somehow, the Itsekiri were no longer comfortable with the rules. For example, Omadino people were from Ijebu, Ugborodo were from Ugbo, Escravos came from Ilaje and even till date, these communities still pay ancestral homage to their origin. |

Prince Tsola Emiko back in April was announced as the 21st incoming OLU of the Itsekiri people after several consultation with the Ife Oracle.
His announcement was met with resistance by some royal princes and the Ologbostere of Warri, who hinted that Prince Tsola didn't meet the requirements as stated in the 1979 Edict.
According to the Edict, for one of become an OLU of the Itsekiri people, his mother must be either Itsekiri or Edo, but unfortunately, Prince Tsola Emiko's Mother is a Yoruba woman from OGUN.
According to the king makers, previous OLUs with Portuguese and Ijaw mothers were crowned and so the case of Prince Tsola Emiko wasn't new.
Reacting to Prince Tsola's confirmation, opposing princes such as Joseph Emiko, Yemi Emiko, Bernard Emiko, Toba Emiko, Debi Emiko, young Emiko, Dudu Emiko, Jaiye Emiko and Samuel Emiko had a meeting where they all released a joint statement distancing themselves from the announcement made by the king makers.
Today, the son of OLU Ikenwoli, Oyowoli Emiko is taking the battle to court, a move many have condemned.
While the struggle continues, the Delta State government, led by Ifeanyi Okowa has confirmed and reiterated his support for the Itsekiri nation. Also, several Itsekiri groups have sent in their congratulatory messages, including Itsekiri's chapter of the OPC.

ivolt: This shows you are not conversant with US sanctions. It is not an on or off switch matter and there are hundreds of sanctions that the average person will not even know exists. And it usually have an endgame. Did you know that Obama sanctioned Nigeria? Well, that didn't stop US products from being shipped here.
BTW, there is no ally anywhere that will follow the US lead over some petty issue, if you mean US puppets, those ones are already useless to the Nigerian economy.
I know it sound strange that blanket sanction decisions aren't made based on whims or revenge but that is the reality.
Nope. Nigeria was importing fuel long before Abacha came into power. The refineries failed for the reason other government run businesses failed. A black man from Nigeria downplaying a sanction from the almighty US. lol, stop clowning man. Nigeria won't survive a month of heavy sanctions. Financial services will crumble, unemployment will triple, etc. Even without sanctions we barely operate. lol |

Igboid: That's the problem with you minorities. Every single help Igbos render you lots is never appreciated or taken at face value, it's usually twisted to sell your Igbophobic Agenda. Even as we speak, Ijaws are already saying that Igbo support of GEJ was not about supporting SS but more about Igbo hate for Buhari and what Igbos gained from GEJ. When I asked them for GEJ projects in SE, they couldn't mention any. In comparison, for two times Zik competed for presidency in 1979 and 1983. He never got up to 10% of votes from minorities, even Awolowo got more from Old Rivers, old Cross River and Bendel States than Zik did. And no one needs any soothsayer to know that if an Igbo presidential candidate emerge today, he will still get same Zik treatment from minorities. It goes without saying that the Igbo MUST re-evaluate the way and manner we relate with southern minorities.
Back to the Midwest referendum. Eastern region threw weight behind it mainly because of Anioma people led by Dennis Osadebey who were staunch NCNC members and were pushing for it. There was Okotie too who was in NCNC and was pushing for it as well. Weakening Western region was an added incentive but not the main driving Force. It's always been this way with you lots. It was a known fact that NCNC & NPC needed to weaken AG and when they saw the perfect opportunity, they keyed into it, perfect political play! Also, I don't see the need for you to tag my opinion igbophobic. This is us debating past events and me presenting my facts based on my little understanding. You said NCNC threw their support for The Midwestern referendum mainly because of Anioma, now if I may ask, why didn't they support the deployment of Western Igbos to the eastern region as raised by some western legislators? Infact, they were attempts by some groups in Asaba to make this possible but instead, NCNC focused more on the creation of Midwest. like I've said, every party had something to benefit, reason for the collaboration and the massive acceptance of NCNC in Midwest. The minorities needed freedom, the NCNC needed to weaken and expand its influence. So it's not the North imposing rulers on Anioma people when they watched Osadebey who was rightful democratic ruler of the region deposed for Ejoor a military imposition? Did the non Igbos resent Ejoor imposition as Northern imposition? They didn't because it doesn't matter who was imposing who, they were more interested in who was imposed. That's the way I see it anyway.
BTW, I like the maturity in your replies. Thanks for that. Wasn't it Aguiyi Ironsi who made Ejoor the governor of Midwest after the January 1966 coup? Forgotten that Ejoor was among those targeted by the coup plotters to be terminated but outsmarted the assassins? Infact, Ironsi couldn't trust Ejoor in Enugu any longer, he had that relocate him to Benin. |
