GAZZUZZ:
Do not be discouraged, as most of the young men on this platform do not pay rent and are not ready to settle down any time soon, they also do not have a savings to do so.
This might be a blessing in disguise if you play your cards well.
I hope this helps you.
Good luck

ojbanja: Morning. My corolla stopped on motion, and refuses to start again. Not battery. It's not rolling. I'm at Ozone ,Yaba now. I need a good mechanic contact around there. Thanks pls troubleshoot by checking terminals for loose ends and corrosion. secondly, you can check battery and ECU fuses. I believe the ECU fuse is inside the car,by your left leg when seated. if none of this works, there are mechanic workshops in that particular area, especially the army officers mess very close by |

Now I have seen Fuelpumps for vehicle Bought brand new in nigeria, used for about 2years and less then 30,000kms in this state.
these are the remains of cannibalised used foreign used fuel pumps from different vehicles, Notice their colours?

Fuelpump used in saner climates for 10-20years coming in and looking this good without any human interference.
summary, If you like buy a brand new car or a Foreign used car, as long as you live in nigeria and our system continues to buy horribly refined petroleum products, just set aside a little extra money for a fuel pump every few years.
I would love to see more responses:

EgunMogaji: I wish some of the younger guys could have experienced Nigeria of the 70s / 80's, she was just a better country.
Do you guys know we used to have Greyhound buses in Nigeria, telephone booths in Ibadan, LSMTC buses (owned by Lagos State) that ran between Lagos and Ibadan, a functioning highway patrol force, hardly see soldiers on the street, etc
Anyways to your question, back then most cars had external fuel pumps not these ones that are sitting inside the gas tank (I think most of the fires we see on 3MB are from these adulterated cobbled together fuel pumps), external fuel filters, etc The fuel was better but the maintenance was better too.
People actually took their cars in for service, not when it broke. In Ibadan you had a Volvo dealer, Datsun dealer, etc
You actually had brand new taxi cabs, I mean tear rubber Datsuns and Toyotas for taxi in Ibadan, very rare to see a taxi that was battered, there was pride in ownership.
To be a taxi driver, driver, vulgarizer, battery charger, etc were all good professions. Listen to Ayinla Omowura, etc and see how he sings of tipper owners, senior driver at CFAO, etc Nigeria was just better over all
I wish I was more into photo/video graphy then like I am now. my mum bought her Datsun 120y from sunny motors in the late 70s. the smell of the interior was just Majestic.the last time I saw the type was in abeokuta some over ten years ago,and the nostalgia just flooded in. God save Nigeria |

akanniade10: When will you guys stop saying this positioning thing! You think those complaining are JJC's or newbies. Some people here just won't accept this work is not like before anymore. number of hours online doesn't even count anymore, nothing counts except LUCK!!!! And maybe PRAYERS sha good Evening bro.just saw your response to my post and I think you toned it with unnecessary virtuperations. it's people like you that brings negative energy, and fail mentality to a thread that's supposed to be a source of inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs and would be investors. I never doubted the subjects expertise in the field,as I was just trying to motivate him as subtley as I could,so as not to fray his nerves, cos I kinda understand his situation. everyday is not Christmas, and we know the better days surpasses the bad ones. I've never seen you contribute any meaningful thing here before.infact this is my first time seeing your post, and I'm sadly dissappointed in your response to an advice that was not meant for you in the first place. pls let's keep a positive mindset in the midst of downturns. it's like a light unto the dark. God grace us all |

Gentlelife50: Don't mind them, just do what you can. I have met one of them like that, they don't go home. Besides some of them use to manipulate the fares plus other small small things they do. One of them in their group one day said I should pay #5000 so he can teach me how they do it. They can make you pay 1500 for a trip of 800 pls bro, no matter how tempting their schemes and antics may seem, don't be swayed.its dirty money . KARMA has a way of short changing those type of people.they're never successful. enjoy your honest sweat. YOU WILL SUCCEED. |
