Come let us reason together. The fault of what is happening to our economy is partly traced to past leaders including Jonathan. I voted for him but he squander our resources big time. During is regime oil boom was at his peak and those money was looted under his watch. PMB inherited a failed economy as a result of Jonathan mismanagement.
Oil price is declining which he has no control over. He is working on recovering our money back to diversify the economy and reduce the cancaworm called corruption in the system. What else can a visionary leader do than that..
We reason on sentiment in this country rather than face the fact.
Guy if we dont kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria and Nigerians.
Wake up.
A bad work man blames his tools but an irresponsible man blames his predecessor!!

If he inherited a bad economy from Jonathan; no wahala, I personally don't want the economy to improve again - since the current state of the economy is what APC is calling change. Just let him put the economy in the bad state that it was when he took over power, datz all.

At least when he inherited the economy, the Naira was about #190 to the dollar and we had access to the dollar at that rate, fuel was #87 instead of #86.50 and it was sold for #100 and it was available as opposed to now when it sells for #120 and I still can't get it to buy!!

If he were not in power, he would accuse Goodluck of Mismanaging the economy, now he has held power for close to 9months and it is till Goodluck he is blaming. That one no be sweargbeh!!??

They insist that Goodluck's administration was stupendously corrupt, and things were still managable then, now they are not corrupt at all but things are far worse; who then is the real thief?? Who then is truly corrupt??

He has gone on an arresting spree from Dasuki to Dokpesi and now it is tompolo he wants!! The leader of one of the most volatile, dangerous and violence prone, Niger-Delta militant groups!!

When the amnesty program was announced, because of Tompolo only, it was extended because Tompolo was most especially and viciously sought by the Nigerian military because he single-handedly dealt the Nigerian army the most fatal casualties than any other military group - he was famed for bringing down an army colonel and for him to be encouraged to come out and submit to amnesty program as well as provide complete intel on the exact structure of MEND and how it supplied arms to the other militant groups; in less than 24hrs to the deadline, they extended the amnesty program by 30days - funny enough, this was done by Yar-adua!!

That is the one, that Buhari wants to prosecute!! The militant that is especially known for sourcing arms through MEND for other groups; and he expects that the amnesty program/pact won't crumble!!

Do you think other former militants will take kindly to that kind of action and sit quietly on the sidelines while Tompolo is being harrased!!??

Now that Bombing of Oil installations don resume, make the President go look for money whey e go take fund 2016 budget now; budget that is already in deficit before it is even implemented, abi he will borrow another #2.1trillion ba?? Then when things get bad, he will point Goodluck! Because Goodluck borrowed #2.1Trillion naira and used #1.8trillion to fund Capital projects ba?? Or he was the one that put the current FOREX policy that we are going through that is causing investors and financial institutions like J.P. Morgan to look elsewhere ba - I guess J.P. Morgan too na PDP too abi??

That confused fellow had better collect Ministry of Finance and head of economic team as well as Petroluem ministry that he is managing and give to someone whose head is actually correct before dollar becomes #1000, Ode!!! angry

What great hocus pocus in the form of a mentally unstable, directionless government is this??

They are asking private sector not to sack staff; meanwhile they sacked 2000 staff across 31 Federal Universities and another 1100 staff of NNPC and its subsidiaries have been earmarked for sack and later one wonderful fellow will come hia and type "Sai Baba"!!

SSANU is busy grappling with its members who are asking for explanations as to the fate of over 2000 staff, whose Jobs were guaranteed based on an MOU obtained during a previous strike, only for this government to violate that MOU arbitrarily and they have refused to dialogue favourably with SSANU!!

If SSANU declare Nationwide strike now; ignorant Nigerians go say they are heartless!! A government that doesn't respect Court Orders na MOU they wan respect??

Isn't this the height of utmost confusion and extravagant helplessness and cluelessness??

May God help this country from Blind career politicians who don't know how to use power to change lives and may God help Mr President!!

Finally! He has chosen to display a remarkable amount of stupidity by creating a face-off between him and Niger-delta militants!!

Of what benefit is to be had by breaking whatever existing relationships that exist between him and the Leaders of the Militants!!

He is busy looking for figures and legacies of the last government to destroy; I pity him greatly!!

God has given him a second chance to right whatever wrongs of 1984 and he chooses to use it to create enmity with people who have a capacity for warfare!!

What will other militants watching on the side say; will Buhari be willing to turn the South-south to warzone like maiduguri in the name of a vendetta/witch-hunting against what appear to be known figures associated with the last administrationhuh

At a time when the Nation is experiencing trying financial times; he is busy creating tension amongst militant leaders, when oil production/extraction drops, how will he fund the budget?? By borrowing another #2trillion Naira??

Now foreign/international businesses on Nigerian soil cannot take their money outta the country because of his awkward Foreign exchange policy! As at last 2 months, foreign airlines want to withdraw their presence and focus elsewhere; meanwhile, the same man is asking for foreign investors to come in!!!

He was kicked out by "little" babangida in 1985 because he refused to listen, and now he is about to make the same mistake again!!

May God help him. May God help Nigeria!!!

you are 99% correct. Just don't call him a dullard
That I don't call him so, doesn't mean he is not!! Besides, he has called his predecessor far worse!!

Both he and the Minister of petroluem, from the way and manner they handle the economy are clearly not too bright!!!

Else, we won't have groaning investors whose fund are trapped, neither would we have been delisted from J.P. Morgans Emerging Markets Bonds - weighted at $170bn!!

The most exasperating part of this whole mess is that when he - Talking about Mr President - was asked by a guest interviewer on the last presidential media chat on his awkward FOREX policy he concluded with

"I don't want to say that I don't believe what you are saying, because I know for you to say.............I will ask the CBN governor......"

I agree totally with you, that is why Nigerians in the Diaspora send so much money back home every year because they are allowed to repatriate their earnings.
The Foreign Airlines should be allowed to repartriate their earnings in Dollars, because Naira is not an international convertible currency, if it were then the Airlines would have taken home their earnings in Naira.
Sall could be a Propangandist, but plain common sense should always over-ride propaganda.
And Buhari is Junketting around the globe; looking for foreign investors who can't take away their profits after engaging in Legitimate business!! Isn't that the Height of Macro-economic confusion!!

You create an environment where currency restrictions is discouraging existing businesses and you are still expecting new investors that will encourage growth!!

PoliticsBuhari Aide Gave Fake And Doctored Budget - Nass - Vanguard by ehissi(op): 8:38am On Jan 15, 2016
By Henry Umoru & Joseph Erunke

ABUJA — Rumblings over whereabouts of the 2016 Budget proposal of the Federal Government in the Senate came to a climax yesterday as the Senate accused the Senior Special Assistant to the President (Senate), Senator Ita Enang of doctoring and circulating fake copies of the budget proposals.

In defence of its integrity, the Senate vowed not to work on the fake proposals allegedly circulated by Enang until it receives an electronic copy of the budget document which will be reproduced for senators.

Vanguard also learned yesterday that the same alteration of the budget document was done in the House of Representatives, but House officials were quick to intercept the doctoring and insist on the circulation of the original proposals as submitted by the President.

Circumstances around the budget document became an issue last Tuesday when it emerged that the proposal as submitted by the President could no longer be traced. The discovery prompted the Senate into a closed-door session following which the Senate Committee on Ethics was mandated to investigate the issue. The issue also led the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday afternoon.

Senator Saraki yesterday confirmed the doctoring of the budget proposals by Enang at the end of deliberations on the report of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Public Petitions on the issue. Saraki added that the available hard copy of the budget presented to the Senate was different from the one laid before the two chambers of the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari, shortly before both chambers embarked on Yuletide break last December. Senate officials, however, shied away from pointing out the differences between the two copies yesterday.

Senator Saraki nevertheless, said the report of the committee fingered the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Enang, for the act. He said the Senate would as such suspend its initial plan to begin consideration of the 2016 appropriation bill until the Presidency submits the soft copy of the original budget that was laid before the two chambers of the legislature. His words:

“We have received the report of the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions on investigations surrounding 2016 Appropriation Bill. Our finding is that Senator Ita Enang, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang printed copies of the 2016 Appropriation Bill and brought to the Senate.

“We have discovered that what he brought is different from the version presented by Mr President. We have resolved to consider only the version presented by Mr President as soon as we receive soft copy of the original document from the executive.”

‘Budget not missing’

But briefing newsmen, after the day’s plenary, Senate spokesperson, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, said, “The report about a missing budget is not true. We don’t have a budget that is missing. But you recall that the Senate President did inform Nigerians that there is an issue that a committee was asked to investigate. The investigation by the committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, has been submitted in the executive session. It was a decision we took at the last executive session.

“Our findings are these: That Mr. President did lay the budget before the joint session of the National Assembly and thereafter, the Senate went on recess and upon resumption, copies of the document were produced by Senator Ita Enang, who is the SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and the copies were submitted to the Senate and House of Representatives.

“What we found out is that the document submitted by Senator Ita Enang, upon our resumption, has some differences, discrepancies with what was originally laid by Mr. President in the joint sitting of the National Assembly.

“However, the Senate in defence of its own integrity, honour, will not work with what has not been laid on the floor of the National Assembly. We are constitutionally mandated and duty bound to consider only that budget that had been so laid by Mr President.

“Right now, for reproduction, we are awaiting the soft copy of the originally submitted budget so that the National Assembly can reproduce the copy itself. That is the only time we can have confidence in the document we want to work with.

“The budget submitted by the President is not missing; we already have copies of it but what we are saying is that for us to reproduce for our members, it is easier, based on the quantum of document that has to be produced, that we get the soft copy of that original version so that we can reproduce it. ‘“

He disclosed that the Senate has fixed Tuesday, next week to discuss the budget, saying copies of the document would be circulated to senators when the soft copy demanded from the presidency was received.

“By next week, we want to go down to business, senators have picked dates to speak during the three days set aside for debate on the 2016 budget.

“The Senate leadership was mandated to speak with all those concerned with the document, that was why the Senate President was in touch with Mr President.”
Abdullahi refused to speak on the claims by the House of Representatives that it had its own original version of the document.

“I am not in the position to say the differences between the document submitted by the President and the one brought by Ita Enang. The committee that investigated the issue did not include that in their report.

“As at the time the Senate President promised to make copies available to senators today (Thursday), he was working on the assumption that what was brought by the executive were copies of the original copies submitted by Mr President, but based on the outcry, it was discovered that there is another version different from what the President gave us,” he said.

Meanwhile, Senator Enang, who is at the centre of the development, has refused to comment on the level of his involvement, as alleged by the Senate.

Enang told journalists who sought his view on the matter that he would not join issues with senators.

“I have chosen not to comment on this issue for personal reasons.

‘’We must work together to make the Senate as an institution to grow. The President is my boss and the senators are my bosses. I won’t join issues with them. So, let the whole matter remain as it is”, he said.

U ARE QUITE WICKED U KNOW.IF ANY OF THOSE SOLDIERS WERE UR BRODA WILL U SAY D SAME THING.THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD EQUIPMENT 4 RIVER CROSSING.THIS IS WHY ANYONE INVOLVED IN DASUKIGATE DESERVES NO MERCY
There is no wisdom in your comment whatsoever!! This is why nobody will offer you scholarship to join the armed forces! You buy the form yourself!!

Even if Dasuki stole nothing, this is still how they will still cross the river; so don't be petty!! When Obasanjo led 3 Marine Commando's in the civil war, you think he was using Amphibious truck?? Na still the same Pako!!

All of those fancy equipment you see, used by Military forces of developed countries, that make people under - rate our military - because we don't use them - cost big bucks!! The entire Nigerian Budget isn't enough to properly kit every Nigerian soldier, this is why even so-called developed countries ramp up heavy debt, just to float a military in their opinion that they can trust!!

This is why, developing the military is a long-term plan, done in phases and is capital intensive!!

Think about it, most people will say Dasuki stole $2.1billion or mismanaged the said amount!! But even that money isn't enough to buy one standard Land-Mine resistant Armoured tank!! With the level of Mistrust that Nigerians have for our political leaders, if Chief of defence submit budget proposal to buy 12 Land Mine Resistant tanks for #14.4Trillion, no be the same una go call am thief??

In any case, any smart student of Political History or War studies will let you know that the kind weapons/equipment you have are not anywhere near important as the strategy with which you intend to use them!!

The most important thing is that they are moving forward; that's what Nigeria troops are known for!!

This is why we are respected when we lead peacekeeping tour in Africa; we get the Job done, at almost low cost, because we apply strategy!! This is why till today, countries like the US still enquire for our brief on Peacekeeping OPS led by Nigeria!!

So don't be bothered by the image; it doesn't matter how we get there! The most important thing is that we get there and we get the result we want - and the result we are seeking is desirable, Chikenan!!!

Interesting, information is truly and indeed power. Okay, thanks so much. But, how would you rate the success of conversion based on 100%? Do you have idea of when the form will be out? Would you advise me to join the army through the SSC?
Iits 100 over 100 except you have a debilitating disease that won't allow you to continue service!! DSSC conversion is simple, the form is sent to you, you fill it and submit that's all!!

DSSC is mainly for professionals - administrative staff who will do office work - ; SSC is for frontliners - people who are trained specifically for the purpose of going and fighting war!!

Choose whichever suits your future plans!!

Forms will come out when they will come out!!!

Tesiday:
please, I don't know if this is true or false, I need your clarification. I learnt that NAF and NN does not do conversion for DSSC and only NA does that cos of their need to keep large numbers as a force.

Also, I learnt that to get converted From DSSC to Regular after the expiration of the 10 or 15 years as the case may be, you need big politician or top and high ranking officer to get it done. that it's not successful most times.

pls explain and enlighten me. thanks.
False!! DSSC conversion is an administrative matter!! All it requires is that you fill a form; that's all!! Its a commission that is covered by the Armed forces Act of 1990 that covers the entire armed force!!

And it is 10years not 15years!!

The one that maybe a bit tough is the conversion from SSC to Regular commission and that takes place after 6years, written and medical exams and physical drills!! And even that is based on performance, as far as I know, Godfatherism isn't really at work there!!

Note: SSC is done only by the army!!

PoliticsRe: Why Buhari MUST Obey Court Orders - Supreme Court by ehissi(m): 10:50am On Jan 11, 2016
All of the above Postulation is false!!

When you want to rely on tort to place an argument before a court; the first question that must be asked is this! What is the issue for determination?? Is there any similarity before the issues for determination between the tort and the current case in review?? Is The reference tort, bearing the same background and is the reference a basis of judgement??

My question: in the case of Asari Vs FG, was disobeying the decision of a lower court a subject of determination! Yes or No!!

The lie that Prof Sagay is telling Nigerians is that even if Bail is granted; if fresh charges are to be instituted, a man can always be rearested and detained!! That is the argument used both for Dasuki and Kanu!!

Dasuki case is embezzlement related; it has nothing to do with National security!!

Its Kanu case that seems to have something to do with National security and what is the foundation of his crime; importation of Sophisticated broadcast equipment for the purpose of promoting Treason, war and succession all of which are threats to National security!! Not guns, not bombs, not for hosting terrorist camps, not for kidnapping nor abduction!! It is only Kanu that refused to enter a plea for the second charge!!

Dasuki was initially permitted by the court to go and see his doctor on health grounds abroad and was given till January 18 to return; but SSS refused to release his passport and instead chose to place guards in his house!!
That can even be cited by his lawyer as torture of a psychological kind, incase most of you don't know!!

From the moment I heard that Dasuki was denied permission to travel I stopped following his case, because right there and then I knew dasuki was just fighting "Call of Duty Ghosts" of 1984!! As we speak, I believe they are just trying to convince the fellow to sign a deal that sees he doesn't go to prison but will accept a gulity plea just to make Buhari/APC look good/justified!!

Let's just say, for the purpose of believing the ridiculous; Buhari/SSS/EFCC are right concerning their conduct over Kanu and Dasuki!! Afterall they are threats to our National security (and not Buhari/APC or his cabinet).

Explain the case of the Ex-Dg of NIMASA! Did he not fulfill all bail conditions of 2 cases?? What prompted his violent arrest?? National security?? Of which no fresh charge has been instituted against the fellow because they have exhausted extensively all possible chargable offences relating to his tenure in NIMASA in the 2 courts!!

I followed his case diligently and found out that Buhari's only "face-saver" is War-on-corruption!! Just as Obama's only "face-saver" was OBAMACARE and bringing back our troops home!! So anything that makes it look as though this anti-corruption thing isn't going on will make him look weak, foolish and non-functional!!

That's why the DG of NIMASA could be treated like a common criminal even though he has been granted bail in all courts where he had cases!! Things like this will only encourage people like the police, who know that once they declare corruption; they can even kill you in the name of arrest, afterall na change we dey practise ba? Zero tolerance for both Corruption and Nigerian Law!!

It is either they will say looters are returning money or EFCC/SSS has jailed someone illegally and some foolish Nigerians will be clapping or they will say Buhari "Ordered" something!! Like Buhari Ordered that December Salaries be paid, meanwhile my aunty whey dey LUTH as at the time of ordering na only November salary na e enter in the month of december!!

As bad and as corrupt as Goodluck is believed to be; he never owed Federal workers salary; delayed? Yes! Owe? No! The only issues he had were tied to MOU he inherited that demanded backlogged payments/arrears which opposition is always Willing able and ready to capitalize on, after all its their democratic birthright - but now that they are in power, they wanna muzzle the press!!

They are running a television government and unfortunately, that is in Nobody's interest but their own!! After all................They are always people willing, able and ready to hail a non-functional, non-corrupt government!!!

@ehissi : duly noted. Ojukwu was just part of the over two hundred "Politicians" rounded up after the overthrow.... and he was promptly released when found to be "clean". He was not singled-out as most people are trying to portray!
Thank you.
Again that is false!! Ojukwu was released unconditionally by the Ibrahim Babangida Administration - which upstaged Buhari in a coup - there was no intention by Buhari anywhere or anyday to release Ojukwu. This is one reason Babangida was a very hard man to dislike, as far as Nigerian politicians were concerned.

Babangida gave unconditional release to all poltical detainees of the Buhari government, all without exception. He started on a fresh note as far as detention is concerned!

One thing you must bear in mind is that Ojukwu arrest nor release had nothing to do with Corruption - that will be very foolish to say!!

In present terms, let me give you an exact scenerio of what you are saying!!

It is like Buhari in this present time arresting Jimi agbaje for the Corruption going on in lagos state, simply because PDP, in the last administration is believed to be corrupt!!

Jimmy agbaje simply contested to be governor in Lagos and lost! He never held a position in Jonathan's cabinet or the party or any cabinet for that matter neither did he have involvement in Fashola's government. PDP was at the centre but in Lagos, which is supposed to be Jimi's stronghold is controlled solely by APC, so wetin concern Jimi!!??

So why arrest jimi, when fashola is there strutting like a G O D.

Ok, he said shagari was corrupt, where did shagari end up?? The main person who was corrupt was chilling out in a Hotel somewhere while Ojukwu was moved to kirikiri!!

Ojukwu's arrest was a power play, to keep him in Check!!

Explain the rationale??

Every person who was/is in a position to explain what happened to PTDF money under Buhari's care; with respect to heavy contract awards is dead.

The only real link, in this Dispensation of democracy, that can link Buhari's past to his present is Dasuki!!

As far as I am concerned, in this land Nigeria, Dasuki is the only security person in Nigeria's history who has been charged to explain how monies meant for security matters was spent!

For me, that is blackmail! There are colonels, Generals that had known links with Boko Haram in the military that have been caught, people who gave intel on field ops to Boko Haram, sponsored them with uniforms and weapons supply; how many has Buhari subjected to the kind of Open embarrassment in the media as Dasuki!!

Or their own too is not corruption that Buhari should be seen to fight ba??

And we say Buhari is fighting corruption!! Let us wait and see the end of the trial; you will understand better then! That is assuming you are not an APC fanatic!!

Please, I will like all well meaning Nigerians to please like and share the pictures posted below this comment I have quoted - it has el-rufai and Buhari at different times, visiting and offering condolences to the leader of Shia islam El-Zakzaky during Jonathan's era when the military and El-zakzaky clashed - now both Buhari and el-rufai call him a terrorist !!

The picture show Buhari before he became president and El-rufai before he became governor!!

When the Nigerian Military clashed with Shiites, killing El-Zaky sons during Jonathan era, el-rufai called it genocide and blamed Jonathan personally!!

The same clash repeated just last year here; this time El-Zaky himself was taken andmany shia folllowers were killed. El-rufai was quoted as saying this time that "He has been made to pay for his sins/crimes"!! Both men, El-rufai and Buhari now insist that El-zaky was running a state within a state!!

The real question is this; if it was true that El-zaky was a terrorist - running a state within a state - ; why didn't they admit it when Goodluck was in power?? Why did they take out time to visit a known terrorist and offer condolences?? Is it possible that they wilfully supported/partnered with el-zaky when Goodluck was in power just so they could win an election??

These are the same men that clamoured and are still tactically clamouring for amnesty for Boko Haram!!

Pictures like this should be taken seriously; lives have been wasted, innocent lives in this conflict with terrorists!!

But the corrupt politicians "fought back" gallantly, using IBB to truncate Buhari's regime which was setting Nigeria back on the right path.

Come to 2015, Buhari is doing the same thing and l worry that the looters and corrupt politicians are fighting back and would do everything to make sure they frustrate Buhari's Govt.

But POWER lies with the masses.
Will we Nigerian masses, let-down this Govt or will we rise above ethnic and tribal/religious divide, t lay a good foundation for our future?
The decision lies with each one of us

Sorry to disappoint you, but Ojukwu was never a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria - except you want to say that he was one in biafra, in which case.........na you know!!

Ojukwu was actually in charge of the Eastern region under General Aguiyi Ironsi; an office he retained after the coup which ushered in Gowon as head of State.

It was in his capacity of Head of eastern region, that he declared biafra!!

After the war, Ojukwu returned from exile in cote'd voire in 1982 to join the NPN - a move which disappointed Ndigbo, since NPP, a largely Ndigbo which was lead by Nnamdi Azikiwe was ready to receive him - and contested in the senatorial elections and lost to Dr. Edwin Onwudiwe (an election largely believed to be rigged in favour of Onwudiwe who was more or less Jim Nwobodo's man).

Buhari arresting Ojukwu had nothing to with Corruption; it was simply a power game!!

A move to check-make whatever power/influence Ojukwu may have because nobody wanted another war; not in the state Nigeria was in when Buhari took over power; it would have been a disaster!!

Ojukwu, in-spite of the fact that he was now a "Nigerian" was highly unpredictable, Buhari didn't want to take chances; he was suspicious of the fellow and did nothing to hide it, so he gave the General a one way ticket to Kiri-kiri prison!!

Anyone ignorantly calling Ojukwu an "NPN Senator" is no different from someone calling Jimmy Agbaje or Nuhu Ribadu a "PDP Governor" !!

In case you still believe that I don't know what I am talking about; check the "lastpage" for source!! grin

Ojukwu was an NPN senator in 1983 under the old Anambra State but buhari had him released earlier than most at the time. Some of us still remember these events.
False!! Ojukwu contested on the NPN - a largely northern party led by shagari and lost. He never served as Senator of the Federal Republic that is why he is not addressed as "Senator" the way Bola Ahmed Tinubu is addressed as Senator!!

Do your homework before you post comments; that way, you can give an informed perspective!!

Go & read Nigerian history. When Ojukwu was pardoned by Shagari, he returned back to Nigeria & joined d NPN. PMB jailed Ojukwu, a stalwart of d discredited & unbelievably corrupt NPN along wit his corrupt peers.
What an excellent educator you have been; remind me again, what Ojukwu's role was in Shagari's government!!??

At least if you read my commentary, very very well, what I said was

So Buhari arrested Ojukwu during his era as a military head of state. Seriously Buhari really stepped on many toes during his tym as a military head of state. I can see the perceived hatred for him by the Igbos. God pls save PMB as he will step on many toes for him to set the path right for Nigeria. AMIN!!!
What are you talking about? Right path?

For crying out loud, Ojukwu wasn't even part of the government that Buhari outstaged in a coup - which was Shagari's government by the way - so what formed the basis of Ojukwu's arrest?? Corruption??

When you undertake a wholistic study of Nigeria's political history; you will find yourself a better commentator on Nairaland!!

These people surely don't HV eyes to see the spirit realm.
I am from the water.
I also have air spirit and I must tell you that anything that will make Igbo's united economically will shake our kingdom.
Their star as a tribe is so bright that it blinds us.
They r a giant.
That righteous man sends giant angels to guard Nidigbo because of what they r destined to be.
We see the giant angels n get annoyed!

In the spirit realm it has been seen that in the period of waning of the religion of that righteous man up there, that the Igbo's, Ijaws, Itsekiris n Urhobos shall team up n work together n cause a shaking revival in Europe.

This though will be spearheaded by Nidigbo.

It is destined that there will be a major shaking that will make them go back home.
And so we cannot allow Igbo go home cos they will then become an economic giant.

From here they shall spring up n become so great that with their funds they will shake Europe with the message of that righteous man up there.

We must do everything to keep them scattered in other parts of this country so that they will loose focus n never achieve what has been purported for them.

And now that righteous man is forcing them indirectly thru Lagos govt to go back home?
We must stop them.

PoliticsOshodi Market Demolition - Traders Reject Alternative - VANGUARD by ehissi(op): 7:10am On Jan 09, 2016
January 08, 2016

By Monsur Olowoopejo

Lagos—

Traders from the demolished Owonifari electronic Market, Oshodi yesterday rejected the Lagos State Government’s plans to relocate them to Oshodi Resettlement Market (former Isopakodowo market), citing structural instability and several spiritual activities associated with the structure as their reason for the rejection.

They added that the available space in the market cannot accommodate them.

Meantime, a fire outbreak occurred at  the site of the demolition earlier in the day, stopping the traders from further salvaging any valuable left in the rubble. However, scavengers had a field day.
The refurbished Isopakowodowo Market, The refurbished Isopakowodowo Market, where the affected traders were asked to move to was commissioned by the former governor of the state, Babatunde Fashola, now Minister for Works, Power and Housing. It was commissioned two years ago on January 7, 2014.

When Vanguard visited the market yesterday, none of the market stalls had been opened for business since it was commissioned.

Inside the market, officials of the Lagos State Public Works Commission, LSPWC were sighted rehabilitating the floor.
In an interview with Vanguard, a resident, Mr. Mustapha Adekunle said that the market had never been opened to commercial activities since the former governor commissioned it, saying; “You can see that the entire market is dusty. The government had abandoned the market to rodents.”
A security official, who chose to speak under condition of anonymity, in an interview, confirmed that the market had been under lock since it was commissioned.
His words “I cannot give you my name but all I can tell you is that the state government commenced the renovation works on the market on Wednesday morning after the demolition of Owonifari market. And as you can see, the officials of public works department are rehabilitating the floor.”

Meanwhile, a notice was pasted at the security post for displaced traders of Owonifari and other traders, on the procedures to apply for market stalls.

Relocation notice

The procedure reads: “This is to inform the general public/Owonifari electronic traders that all applicants of shops and Klee-Klamps at Isopakodowo electronic market (Oshodi Resettlement Market) should submit their registration forms with allocation letters, Lagos State Resident Registration Agency, LASRRA registration slip and two passport photographs.”

On the features of Isopakodowo, Vanguard gathered that there are 571 shops in the market; established by the previous administration and originally built to accommodate trader traders dislodged from the rail lines.

Sources said that the market has 64 Closed Circuit Television Camera, CCTV and 22 toilets. And it was expected to serve saw millers and electronic dealers in the state.
It was further gathered that the essence is to attract business to the area and change the face of Oshodi to the mega city standard.

He emphasised that the modern market was fully funded by the state government and will be managed and maintained by a facility manager.

Why we shun relocation plans — traders

Mr. Rasaq Adeyemi, one of the affected traders, said the government did not allocate Isopakodowo market to anyone.
His words “No one is interested in the market because of the incident that happened two years ago when a part of the market sunk.

‘’Up till now, we have not heard anything from the state government. Do they want displaced traders of Owonifari to also suffer what happened two years ago. I doubt if the foundation is strong because if it is, that incident shouldn’t have occurred.”

Another trader, Mrs. Halimah Dosu, who had been trading in the demolished market for over 20 years, said she was not ready to go to the new market.

She stated that since it was commissioned, no trader had used it adding that she is scared to move there because of the incident that happened two years ago.

According to her, “People lost their lives. They had families just like we do. If such thing occurs when we move in, what will be the fate of our families? Can the place accommodate us? This week has been bad for every one of us. Most of the traders here are landlords, few are tenants. Everyone is at a loss. We want another place not that market.”

Another trader, Micheal Uzor, said “I am not going to that market. Rather, I will be going to Arena Mall. I believe it can contain all the displaced traders. Also, the it is structurally sound.”

Relocating to Arena shopping mall
A trader, Mukhtar Atoyibi, said; ‘’As at yesterday people paid N180,000 per annum for a shop  but this morning, it has increased to N300,000 and light is not stable there.
‘’May be we will have to speak with authorities at the market because we don’t have that kind of money to rent a shop. Government did not think well about this before they did it.

‘’They don’t have mercy on the masses. At least if you want to displace people, you have to provide another place. Is this democracy?”

A trader, Uche Chukwuemeka, said;    ‘’Desmond, my co-trader who deals in Video Games, rented a store in the Arena Mall for N1.2 million last week but last Saturday, they refused the N3 million offer.’’

We’ve not accepted govt offer— traders executive

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the market, Obinna Nwosu, said that the executives of the market were yet to meet on the State government relocation plans, saying “It is after our meeting that we can decide if we will accept it or not.”
He however lamented that there was no notice, no official letter except oral messages that they were coming.
According to him, “There is a court injunction that the government shouldn’t disturb traders in our market because since its renovation in 1999 where the market got burnt, traders voluntarily re-built the market with N750 million and every shop was decked. Does a seal order look like a quit notice. They assured us everything was going to be settled that was the reason most of us returned our goods.“

Fire engulfs demolished market

When Vanguard visited the market at about 9pm, Wednesday night, scores of scavengers were sighted carting away property of the displaced traders.

Sources said that they sold the undemolished property at give-away prices.
Few hours later, an eyewitness alleged that some policemen who arrived the scene, set fire to the property at the scene.

Another account said that the officials of the Lagos State Government set the property on fire earlier in the day.

A victim, Justus Eze, lamented “I woke with the hope of salvaging my property but when I got here, I discovered that the market was on fire. And even with the fire, I saw scavengers everywhere. I couldn’t believe I was late at 5am. I am hopeless.”

Fire official confirms inferno

An official of the Lagos State Fire Service, said that the fire was ignited by government officials at the scene to reduce the number of scavengers trooping to the scene to source for goods.

Also,
What type of training am I going to undergo before I begin duties and how long does the training process last?
What is the age limit? I want to be done having kids before I go into it and I dunno if I will be too old by then.
What branch of the armed forces is more organised? With the least amount of nepotism or Godfatherism? Navy, Air force or Army?
Hmmmmmmm
DSSC is usually just 6months; maximum is 35, though Navy usually insists on a maximum age limit of 30!

Anyone is ok; it government job, so you should expect some things that usually take place in government establishment to take place there, though discipline is a watchword most of the time!

Navy, Airforce is much more preferred because they have treat their personnel a whole lot better than army!! Though the army isn't that bad, its just crowded compared to the Navy and army and they bear much more responsibility within the country and have their tentacles spread over the entire country compared to the others!!

There is nothing wrong with you being pregnant in the service!! Provided you are married already!

Training, beside some academic work with a view to giving you orientation of operations in the military, physical drills, bush camps etc all of which usually take place inside 6months.

The word is that it may change soon but that is what it is for now..........

PoliticsGovernment Doesnt Want Igbo Traders In Lagos - Vanguard by ehissi(op): 5:53am On Jan 09, 2016
By Ishola Balogun

Early last Wednesday, Oshodi made the news again, with a bulldozer at work. On orders of governor Akinwunmi Ambode, it rumbled through the Owonifari market,Oshodi, Lagos, crushed and flattened everything on sight within the market. But cries of traders at the market, roared louder than the bulldozer which pulled down the market. “I am finished, I just arrived from China with over N20million goods, they have crushed everything. Where will I start from?”
It was a cacophony of noise, curses, abuses mixed with rage and anger. Even by-standers and onlookers did not spare the authorities, as some of them muted abuses on the Ambode-led government for destroying the market with goods worth over one billion naira. A few others said: Traders in Lagos are stubborn, they will never hear, that is good for them!

Kenneth Madu, a trader in the market told Saturday Vanguard that he had been extremely brutalised as he lost everything he had laboured for in the market.

Battling emotion, Madu stated: “I just stocked my shop with new items I brought in from China a few days before the Christmas holiday. When I heard that they have sealed up the market, I rushed down to see if I can evacuate all my goods from the shop. They denied us access into the market and chose to demolish the market with all our goods. I had more than N20million goods in my own shop. Others had more. All attempt to remove our goods failed. I even offered to give the police N200,000 just to allow me remove my goods, they refused. I have been brutalised and traumatised. This is murder, they have killed us.”

He gazed again at what used to be his small shop that contained his over N20million goods leaned back to clear his over-burdened brain of the confusion and said: “This government is wicked and inhuman.” Asked whether there was any notice to that effect. He stated that there was no notice of the demolition, “they only came to serve a 21-day quit notice that Isopakodowo in Bolade has been provided. But the 21-day quit notice has not expired. Even where they said we should go at Bolade is uncompleted, small and cannot contain all the traders in this market let alone attract the patronage we receive here,” Madu stated.

Another trader, Mr Sunday Obi said: “I heard the government had sealed up the market while I was at home for Christmas, I quickly rushed down, but I got here on Wednesday. They have demolished and destroyed everything I had in the market. I had over N10million worth of goods. I sell wires and electronics in my shops. This morning I came to see if I could pick up a few things from the rubble, but I saw fire everywhere again. Who set fire on what was left?

We don’t know. But, it means, there was a deliberate attempt for us not to pick up anything from here. If they (governments) don’t want the Igbos in Lagos, they should come out to tell us. How can they demolished the market without allowing us to remove our goods? It is inhuman,” he said.

Obi stated that over 2000 traders had their goods trapped in the demolished market, with huge loses that run into over a billion naira. “About 2000 traders had different goods in the market. I really can’t estimate what we have lost but a modest estimate will be over a billion naira. At a time when people have spent all what they had to re-stock preparation for business in a new year, it is wicked,” he said.

In 2009, Ambode’s predecessor, Babatunde Fashola, was praised for clearing Oshodi, ridding the areas of miscreants and easing traffic gridlock in the area. Following this development, Ambode who after inauguration said his government will govern with compassion, is perhaps set to conclude the unfinished job BFR started on Oshodi seven years ago.
