Considering it doesn't have a charger and CD ROM and the battery doesn't last long, can I pay N20,000?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the battery, like I said, it lasts 2hrs and 3omins with heavy usage, and even much longer when used moderately!!

I deliberately set the price at 30k because of the CD Rom - which still works but due to fair wear and tear select CD's - and the lack of a charger.

I can easily arrange for both issues to be remedied for the buyer with as little as 6k - if need be followed the prospective buyer to Ikeja if he/she is a skeptic.

PoliticsRe: FG, EFCC Didn’t Disobey Court Order, Judge Tells Dasuki by ehissi(m): 4:36am On Mar 05, 2016
DONSMITH123:
Another judge of a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, Justice Peter Affen, on Friday ruled that the continued detention of the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), did not violate his order granting the ex-NSA bail on December 21, 2015.

The judge dismissed the application by Dasuki seeking to stop his trial for alleged diversion of N19bn arms funds on the grounds that his re-arrest on December 29, 2015 violated the order of the court granting him bail.

Justice Affen ruled that the application lacked merit and ordered that the trial of the ex-NSA, who was charged along with others, must continue.

The judge fixed April 20 and 22, April for trial.
Earlier, Justice Baba Yusuf of the same court had also on February 8 made similar declaration that the detention of the former NSA was in not in breach of his order granting bail to him on December 18, 2015.

The judge had fixed March 23 for commencement of trial.

Dasuki had also filed separate applications before the two judges asking for orders prohibiting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from further prosecuting him on the two separate sets of charges pending before the judges.

Among his other prayers anchored on alleged violation of the orders of the court by the EFCC, Dasuki prayed the court for an order discharging him of the alleged crime or alternatively staying proceedings.

Meanwhile Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court in Abuja had on Thursday fixed April 4 for ruling on similar application filed by Dasuki to stop his trial on four counts of money laundering and illegal possession of firearms.

Dasuki was re-arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service on December 29, 2015 shortly after he was released from Kuje prison upon fulfilling the bail conditions imposed on him by the two judges of the FCT High Court in Maitama.

Justice Affen ruled on Friday, that since it was clear that the ex-NSA was not re-arrested by the EFCC but by the Department of State Service, the EFCC could not be said to have violated the said order granting him bail.

The judge ruled that though the EFCC and the DSS were both federal agencies, the wrongdoing of one could not be blamed on th order.

He also ruled that the order granting bail to the defendant did not preclude him from being re-arrested by other agencies of the Federal Government in respect of other alleged crime.

In his ruling delivered on December 21, 2015, Justice Affen had directed that if Dasuki or any his co-accused was needed by the prosecution for further investigation, they could only be held between 9am and 6pm and be allowed to return home on each day.

The judge ruled that if the prosecution needed the accused beyond the stipulated period, it must first obtain the leave of court.
“The order of court made on December 21, 2015 did not in any way contemplated any government agencies other than the EFCC to whom the order was directed,” Justice Affen ruled.

While ruling that the EFCC had not violated its order, the judge added even if it did, Dasuki’s lawyer did not show how that could constituted grounds for discharging him or stay the criminal proceedings.

He also ruled that the ex-NSA should have pursued the enforcement of his fundamental rights to liberty in an independent civil suit.
Dasuki and others are being prosecuted on 22 counts of diversion of N19bn arms fund.

His co-accuse include a former Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu, and a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda.

Others charged along with them, are a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, the ex-governor’s son, Sagir Attahiru, and a firm, Dalhatu Investment.

The EFCC is also prosecuting the ex-NSA and others on separate set of 19 counts of alleged diversion of N32bn arms fund before Justice Baba Yusuf.

His co-accused in the case are Salisu, a former General Manager, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Aminu Babakusa and two companies – Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.

Is there anybody in this room intelligent enough to notice - whether APC or PDP or neutral - that, inspite of the Media Blitz and propaganda on this Dasuki case generated by the Buhari Administration; that the Federal government is trying Dasuki for Diversion of #19billion and not #315billlion or $2.1billion. Or has the arms deal figure suddenly changed?? Or is the portion of the yams that Buhari got from Dasuki off the table?? huh
AutosRe: Case Of FRAUD Against Chucky234 by ehissi(m): 11:48am On Feb 20, 2016
I actually made a vow that I'm going to break: which was never to post a comment on Nairaland again - highest like and shares - that's all!!

Since I have been on Nairaland, I have had the luxury of savouring 4 bans!!

The first 3 came immediately after I reported someone who practically raised a very sickening Hate mantra against Christianity in general and Christians in particular in a manner that at the worst would have put the FBI or the CIA or Homeland security on alert to a potential ISIS convert, at it best, they would have tracked that user via his/her IP address and launched a raid - but instead I got the ban!!

The last dealt with a comment relating to an allegation of Buhari calling Nigerians Criminals!!

I looked at the time I've spent on Nairaland and it occurred to me that as a user, much of what is informative/educative/entertaining and enlightening comments comes from my end as a user of the NL platform.

Considering what I will call my contributions to discussion on NL, I find an arbitrary ban - without any prior history/record of inappropriate behaviour offensive/disenchanting. If I had received any form of warning before that ban, I would have been in a position to defend whatever comment I made, in the event that I was misquoted/misconstrued.

Plus I was practically tired of going through the motions of seeking out Mods/supermods to contact via email concerning such matters and instead said my goodbyes to Nairaland - as far as comments are concerned!!

NOW TO THE ISSUE AT HAND

I believe the rules of Nairaland were made for a particular reason and that is to avoid issues like this!! I find it strange that Chucky234 moniker could still be active on Nairaland!!

What I expected, was for Nairaland to officially communicate with Chucky234, give him a deadline to do what is required - which is to either send another replacement vehicle like he promised NexTrend or return the vehicle he initially sold fully restored/repaired since it still looks clean or refund in full both the cash for the car and the money paid to the driver.

After which, if he doesn't comply, his IP address should be flagged, tracked and placed on Permanent ban; also sites that Nairaland have affiliations with - whether in auto sales or otherwise - should be notified duly concerning his IP address.

Then NexTrend should have been contacted by Nairaland to take all & any action to recover his cash through security authorities; including putting on this or any thread on Nairaland "ZOOMED-IN" pictures of Chucky234's banking details (I recall that someone called NexTrend to discourage him from doing that, notice I said Zoomed-in because the one placed by Chucky234 was dubiously uploaded in a manner that isn't legible), Chucky234's picture, Pictures of faulty car in question and its particulars - I think I may have even spotted the car in question on OLX, this is part why I came back here to confirm if it was the car.

Or better yet, Nairaland could have collected all the aforementioned details from NexTrend and create a special thread that will be hosted on the Frontpage for a period of 3months, announcing Chucky234's ban, and all pictures relating to the case and Chucy234 - all his bank details, pictures, car pictures, documents pictures etc..

As much as I don't mean any offence; I find it strange that people who will brazenly make repeated attempts to break Nairaland rules concerning posting ordinary comments run the risk of receiving a near lifetime ban, but someone who has repeatedly defrauded people on Nairaland is being cajoled to do what is right!!

If you go to buy a product or car - used or new - if you are given misleading information concerning that product or car, it constitutes fraud.

Fine, NexTrend should have put less trust in Chucky234, considering how desperately wicked some car dealers are in a quest to make a living and should have made extra effort to verify Chucky234's claim about the car but that doesn't make fraud acceptable, Nairaland and its representatives should take note.

Plus, Chucky234 didn't deny an observation raised by NexTrend; which was that he was going to send a replacement car. He hasn't sent that replacement, he hasn't sent back his cash and from what I am reading here, he hasn't even contacted NexTrend.

@NexTrend, my advise, do your february in peace. Take a month out of your time to prepare your arsenal and then go and reclaim your money legally!!

Do not be dismayed by folks who insist that it is your fault for trusting Chucky234 to be an upright business man; the deal hasn't been concluded because he has both your car and your cash. Either he brings a car in buy and drive condition like he promised or he brings your cash in full.

You may be surprised to find out that he may have done nothing about this issue since then and is in hiding somewhere hoping this issue will just disappear, taking advantage of his strong relationship with Nairaland as a former Mod!!

I don't like posting phone number on Nairaland anymore, scammers/spammers are everywhere. My email address is ehidiamenigue01@yahoo.com, let's talk when you are ready or are in need of any counsel. If he tries to bamboozle you with any military official let me know as soon as impossible if possible. Where someone power/influence stops another starts.

Here, in a position of power, you are solely responsible for attracting a good, 'sell-able' image to the whole world about the country you represent.

When the super eagles mess up, the nationals complain, but never have we heard from the president that they performed woefully, and to an international press for that matter.

He had the shovel and he's just dug the grave himself, and at the same time gave these foreign nations an edge to further treat us with contempt and hate and increased racism. Racism never do o, you con add fuel cos you are facing a foreign press. Bitter truth my foot!!

There are ways to say such a truth and still maintain common sense.

Blind and blind do falll into a pit.

Forget partisanship.

This is Nigeria as a whole now.

Why try justify it when we never hear Obama, Putin, Merkel, Cameron, etc do same for act of their nationals in other landshuh

Leave trash for GarbageCity pls
God bless you thoroughly!! I remember the last time Professor Pat Utomi was asked about how he felt about Buhari comments on devaluing the Naira!!

Blood of God, the man of God said Hoohaa (please note, I am paraphrasing) !!

"Mr President should keep quiet; what does he know about economics, he should leave such matters for those who know how to deal with such things............doesn't he know the damage he has already done to the economy when he says: he is not devaluing the Naira? Is it his business to manage it? He should know when to talk and when to keep quiet"!!

If a man with his depth of experience can point that out; then it probably obvious to less experienced folks that Buhari is continually misfiring in the press against the Nations interest!!

Once he just see television, e go dey do like pikin whey see ice-cream. He just like to enter television for the wrong reason.

The guy just dey use mouth dey run this country down from television like a Kardashian!!

Op! You need a major health check!!!

Last I looked, Nigeria is so not a one party state and will never be. Are u and ur kind more Nigerian than the supporters of those vindicated by the Supreme Court? U support those u prefer and naturally there must be opposing views so why do u feel the sack of SC justices or dissolution of the institution will properly mirror the feeling of a supposed majority?

Do you have any idea how the law and legal processes work? You just sit behind whatever device you've got, gorge yourself on one-sided sentimental crap and then post trash. Did any sane person call for the sack of judges when APC was declared winner in states where d PDP originally won or challenged?

You better educate yourself properly and learn to have a dispassionate outlook not clouded by blind support. The law is the law! This is the same way u all support this parody called corruption fight where the President with d agencies under his control decide who is guilty and who isn't and already punish them whilst trying to tamper with the sanctity of the courts!

Look at you talking of their age...what of that of your tin god? You consider his a near octogenarian wise and fit, who jets out on 'vacation' in the middle of national crises while u question the ages of those whom by the same law u think is a switch u throw on and off at will, are mandatorily required to retire upon attaining the age of 70! See ur grammar sef at this 'young' and 'sound reasoning' age of urs! 'They should retired immediately'?

But when them issue Judgement whey no favour these APCrian Zombies; na e them remember age.

False!! The construction of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line started in February 2011 and was completed in December 2014.

China Civil and Engineering Construction Company (CCECC), which is also constructing the Lagos Rail Mass Transit System in Nigeria, built the line for the Federal Government. If you don't know, ask questions abeg!!

The reconstruction of Lagos-Kano Railway Line that was moribund for many years with no single train movement for 15years but GEJ fixed it in 1year and to you folks that isn't a worthwhile project. The Port-harcourt maiduguri line that has been moribund for 30years finally gets the attention fo government and it is deemed worthy; a project that would have been completed if not for the politics of militancy/terrorism in the north!!

Its is better to say; "I don't agree with the core political ideologies of the PDP than to say that in 16years they haven't completed a single project!

That is tantamout to Selective amnesia!! Its a lie of the first Order!!

In Edo state, we can boast of federal road projects that link villages to delta state; all within the 16years of PDP!! The main stream accessed by Okiagben village for example; for the first time since independece had a road linking that road to delta state!!

Do you know what is 16years!! Government spend cash to evaluate and enumerate the impact of project attained in 4years. A professor of law - history - just sat down and evaluated 16years in the comfort of his house, chewing kolanut!!

Only an illiterate, brainwashed zombie will swallow that kind of trash and call it facts!!

I guess you went to a state university. In any case, I guess you didn't wear your reading glasses to see the completed road projects there like the ones in the east.

Hmmmmmmmm...............I doubt any bank will just grant you access to customers information without a document from The police.

I want to believe that you have picture of the scrapped VIN that you talked about since you are not with the car anymore.

I guess the car may not really belong to this Chucky fellow! There is a possibilty that the real owner of the car may not be in the know of all this brouhaha.

There is also a possibility that the chucky fellow is coming here to read your comments so as to prepare to counter them; hence I have
Decided not to call his name to avoid raising a mention.

The first place and best place to start is with the plate number of the car itself. That may lead to the real car owner and in-turn provide a way to smoke out this Scammer that is using Nairaland to apply his trade.

If police go through there; they can get information about how the car got to this fellow and then track the SOB!!

Never really liked the fellow, especially the way he responded to the Oseri incident; but then he was making valid arguments, though arguments typical of an amateur roadside car dealer!!

The bank will just keep his accounts on ice if approached by the police but the plate number of the car will be swifter in providing practical means of fishing him out!!

Time for another Epistle!

I know D Vice President to be a professor of law & not history. So I can understand if somehow he demonstrates ignorance of the achievements of a party that he seems to show/teach pathological hatred for - a virtue unworthy of a child of God not to talk of someone who would have people believe he is a pastor!

Like I always say; hatred is not a requirement to disagree with a fellow neither is love a requirement to agree. I don't have to hate you to disagree with you and I don't have to like you to agree with you.

If you do well; I hail you! You no do well; I nail you!!

That said; I don't believe that Prof said this! If it was even mentioned that Jonathan didn't do a single project and complete it in his 5years as president, I won't even bother to comment sef. angry

But 16years will also cover men like Obasanjo and the great, late Musa Yar adua! To say that, is not only a disservice to this country, but is to mislead the future leaders who are looking up to men like him for direction and that's children, especially those who may be from the fold of his own Church - TRCCG.

I believe God will first dish him his reward here before he crosses to collect the rest on the other side.

He must learn to see his victory as God's gift that must be used to better the lives of the people of this country: he will not keep it by tearing ridiculous lies!!

Having Said that: Look below and give GEJ a clap offering on behalf of all lovers of Truth everywhere!! GEJ I hail!!

Note that these were observed in the course of a review undertaken as at November 2014!!

If Osinbanjo didn't know; shebi he would have at least asked!

At least it is on record that Rotimi amaechi, in the course of inspecting the Nigerian ports, enter one of the trains and said on National television that he wasn't aware that the rails were functioning!!

When Jonathan was to receive an award in geneva, a member of the audience raised a question that suggested an "Under-reporting " of Jonathan's perceived legacies!!

Even the handing of the Ebola crisis was underplayed by local media/opposition; at a time when Nigeria as a country was receiving kudos from Foreign media like CNN and Aljazeera and foreign countries were sending Health care professionals to see what we did right!! Local media were busy flashing issues of strike of health care professionals in the press.

APC insisted that it was Amaechi and Fashola that tackled ebola and that the credit should go to them and not Jonathan! When the Otuoke townsman, GEJ, was asked; he said the credit should go to Nigerians who united on a common front and gave themselves wholly to instrcutions from Health officials and that the victory/credit over Ebola by God's grace belonged to Nigerians!!

Common Lassa fever, they cannot curtail and quarantine; Lassa that is very curable is just killing people like chicken!!

I don't care if Aluko is prosecuted or not for perjury. What I am concerned about is Fayose using the Ekiti magistrate court to silent a political enemy who is revealing his secret. If the Ekiti state justice ministry can quickly move against Aluko for something as little as perjury, I expect the state house of assembly to have by now began a public hearing into what transpired before the election and then take it further by impeaching the governor.

If the assembly won't do the right thing, I expect the governor to resign honourably or wave his immunity to respond to all the allegations levelled against him. The major questions begging for answer now are:

1, Did Fayose collect $37million from GEJ to prosecute the election?

2, Did the military arrest opposition leaders across the state before the election on the orders of Fayose?

3, Did Fayose compromise Inec officials by paying them N2billion before the election?

4, Did inec officials gave Fayose soft copies of the election materials before the election?

These are the major issues we need to address at this point in time and not perjury. Arresting Aluko for perjury is just an attempt to divert attention away from the real issues and we should not let that happen.
Lets be very honest here. I for one don't care how much money was spent for anything. Between men like Dangote, Chris and Andy Uba and Madam Alakija, $37million na plantain chips money.

I honestly don't get fazed when I hear people spent money; so far the money doesn't come from our Nations commonwealth, no wahala. After all when President Obasanjo Opened library towards the end of his tenure, no single naira from government Treasury was spent but at the end of the day na million of dollars surface. Anybody who has cash, wont mind doing Mr President a favour so leave story.

How money was spent isn't an issue. The issue is where the money came from; but even that $37million dollars no reach 10% of wetin buhari take use campaign for presidential elections. Cash that is rumoured to have come from states like Rivers and Osun; is anybody talking about it??

Jonathan had no shoes but he funded 2011 electoral campaign and won; buhari was living in mud house and even had to borrow money to buy presidential nomination form from his party but he still funded presidential campaign and won, so leave story.

And we all know, judging from Buhari's asset declaration that he doesn't have Sisi in his account, so how did he fund his campaign??

Lets not stray off topic; which is.......(Arresting Ex-pdp Secretary Could Lead To Anarchy – Ekiti APC)...........
If Aluko broke the law and there is evidence to prove it; then it doesn't matter who is spearheading the prosecution; provided justice is seen to be served.

If anarchy breakouts, then it is obviously spearheaded by his party the APC: after all National spokesman for PDP, Metuh has been illegally detained in EFCC custody for days under Buhari and mosquito no wail so why wail for Aluko who provided evidence for his own trial on a platter of gold.

As for your questions; you can raise a thread, better yet you raise a protest and occupy Ekiti and see if Buhari will even consider helping you seek answers from fayose. Abi!!?? Since the matter pain you reach bone like this!! grin

So how can he be tried for perjury if his testimony is irrelevant?
What was said is irrelevant!! It is the difference between what he said under oath relating to what he said outside of it!!

If he said he has 2 wives under oath; and came and said he has only one much later, it still amounts to perjury!!

But someone has to initiate the process, in this case it was the director of public prosecutions . For the record, I doubt the director or public prosecution is under the purview of the state. That should be a federal office - I stand to be corrected, I am not quite sure!!

What was said isn't the issue; it is the fact there is a difference between what was said under oath and outside of it!!

That's all!

And if Aluko is found guilty of lying under oath doesn't that make a revisit of the Fayose's case necessary in light of new evidence?
No!! Except Aluko has fresh and significant evidence; actually lying under oath in court makes you persona non-grata (one who isn't trustworthy). So except he has concrete evidence to back up his story, he is just looking for a free jail term.

Besisdes he is just one of many witnesses. If all the PDP witnesses changed their story like Aluko; then the issue can be revisited, but that didn't happen. So his testimony is only valuable to politicians and commentators in the court of public opinion.

As for the Nigerian courts of law? His testimony is just worthless!!

The same Fayose that beat up court judges, abuses the president at will, places adverts wishing him death and calls the president unprintable names. He goes about making unsubstantiated allegations against the president and yet, he can't stomach a little insult on his person.

At least, all Nigerians can now see who is the real dictator and autocrat who is ready to use state resources to silent an opposition figure. Unfortunately for him, it is late already. The entire country is aware of how the Ekiti election was rigged. Silencing Aluko at this point is no longer productive. Their dirty secret is already in the open.

If Aluko is going to be arrested, Obanikoro, omisore, Adesiyan, Uba, GEJ and every other person involved in the Ekitigate scandal should be arrested and prosecuted.
This is where you are wrong. Aluko went wilfully on National Television and said that he was a witness to the rigging of the ekiti elections using the military.

The problem is that the same fellow went on Oath in court, not to long ago and testified that rigging didn't take place. That under Nigerian law is a crime. It is not about politics, or which party was involved; as long as a petition is placed in the court, in this case the Director of Public prosecution in Ekiti has already filed a petition in court and hence a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Take note, he isn't going to be tried for election rigging or being party to election rigging. In any case, Aluko is just one witness, amongst many and only he changed his testimony on Television.

He is going to be tried for wilfully lying under oath. That is called perjury. APC using him as a key witness to go after fayose's electoral mandate is going to be very difficult; a man who lies under oath, in the law books is persona non-grata and his testimony cannot be relied on. It is only on the ground that he can match very significant evidence with his testimony that the court may consider it; and even at that an application has to be filed in the court by the APC. The court won't just move by itself.

The only reason the courts are even trying to arrest him and put him on trial is because the Director of public persecution filed an application in court citing his crime; else na siddon look na e be court own.

That's just the way it is...........y

This is what I keep saying!

The fact that we disagree with someone doesn't mean that we hate him and the fact that we agree with someone doesn't mean we like him!!

Buhari or Jonathan, PDP or APC; if they do what is good? We hail them, if they do what is bad? We nail them!!

If this is true; then Buhari needs to review his positon on this issue; he lied to Mehdi Hassan on Aljazeera - if you can remember the upfront interview on aljazeera - and said he isn't aware of any person named in connection with human rights violation in the military; even when Mehdi said that his Spokesperson - Adesina - was aware of the incident and promised to deal firmly with them only for him to reinstate the Northerner amongst them!!

Also I firmly agree that the press has been muzzled already; SSANU, Senior academic staff of Nigerian Universities have been on strike since december last year and there is no record of such event in the news!!

Buhari should not squander this opportunity that God has given him in his golden yearrs otherwise he will regret it; because his Children, his wife and his entire family were used in his presidential campaign.

If he messes up, he will have them hiding their heads in shame everytime his name is mentioned just like the Abacha's can't talk about their father in Social media circles without receiving a backlash!

Did aregbesola not run Osun into so much debt till he couldn't pay salaries for over 9months and even after billions of Naira in bailout funds he is still owing 4months salary till dateb!?? What about Rochas Okorcha that has sacked over 2000 workers, a man who is touted to have said that salary is a priviledge and not a right!!??

Hmmmmmm............ Satirist?

sat·i·rist  (săt′ər-ĭst)
n.
One who is given to satire, especially a writer of satirical works.

sat·ire  (săt′īr′)
n.
1.
a. A literary work in which human foolishness or vice is attacked through irony, derision, or wit.
b. The branch of literature constituting such works.
2. Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose human foolishness or vice.

Hmmmmmmm................you are quite correct; his tweets didn't stop the alleged "pillaging" of our countries resources for 16years by His party and other parties - I say other parties because PDP didn't rule the entire country, PDP probably didn't pillage Osun and Lagos, that was APC or CAN or AD or OPC or whatever they are calling themselves these days - but neither has his tweets been able to stop this Buhari government from Disobeying court orders, or carrying out unpopular FX policies that seem to be hurting our economy & favouring the North, or stop Buhari from hosting corrupt folks in his cabinet like Amaechi and Fayemi nor encourage EFCC to prosecute Amaechi, even after the current governor of Rivers state has petitioned EFCC concerning Amaechi's crimes against the state. All of which in my own opinion is simply executive foolishness.

In any case, Its obvious, even to simpletons that tweets don't lead to successful prosecution of criminals - of what use is the Judiciary and the EFCC and anti-corruption agencies which happen to be the work of art of the PDP you dread so much?

Like I suggested earlier, he tweets to create a bond between himself and his target audience/constituency; whether the entire country or the International community or his senatorial district in Bayelsa!

But if wisely used, tweets can also be used as a means of drawing attention to issues, interfacing with the masses and holding/calling public officers to account as well as mobilising people of interest.

As for the alleged "Sentimental PDP affiliation", its nothing but a myth. I don't have an affiliation to any party because no party in Nigeria has core, clearly stated principles that are unwavering - be they Umbrella wielder or broom carriers, or pineapple holders.

I belong to a unique species of Nigerians who believe the following:-

1.) We don't believe we have to hate you to disagree with you. We don't have to like you to agree with you either.

2.) Whether PDP or OPC or APC; Jonathan or Buhari; do what is good? We hail you! Do what is bad? We nail you; simple as that!!

Did PDP mess up in those 16years in power? Yes!! But they did some good things too in those 16years which I choose to affirm; at least that way, the current government can take a cue from that and give Nigeria more of those good stuff while eliminating/avoiding that which is bad.

And for the record, the core of my epistles here were about one thing and one thing only!! Senator Ben Murray Bruce Tweets criticising key issues in Buhari's 2016 budget are good!! Good for him, Good for Nigeria and Good for the Masses.

#QuoteMeAnywhere

And I don't even need to like him to be honest about that.

He tweets good? I hail him! He tweets bad? I nail him!

How does Bruce intend to make his YES opinion count to the benefit of the masses or are we here just to nod yes to his aversion while he can only make noise on the floor or Twitter n Facebook ? Governance is not about yes or no like you inferred, you PDP supporter need to open your mind and learn to work with what you have instead of making noise and raising inimical point about the problems plaguing the nation.
2 things I noticed here; either you are a very unhealthy bunch of contradictions or you are not quite sure about what you are talking about; let me broaden your understanding!!

For the record, I am not a PDP supporter or an APCrian - for crying out loud I have never voted in any election in this country - so technically I may be tagged as politically neutral!!

Also Ben Murray Bruce is a Senator; and in case you are confused about what his job description should be as a senator.

Senators represent the interests of their states’ citizens, write and support legislation and vote on bills. They ought to divide their time between their home states and F.C.T and spend considerable time meeting with constituents and fellow lawmakers and attending Senate sessions.

In this age and time when Social Media is revolutionizing how we communicate; what better way to communicate ideas, relate with constituencies than twitter and facebook, instagram etc.

Ben is a known advocate for issues that affect not just his constituency but the country at large.

From scrapping of the Presidential Jet System, to cutting down the Senate budget, condemning the move by FG to place a media blackout on Dasuki's trial via a closed trial, Certain points of the 2016 budget e.g. The high budgetary provision for the Villa health centre compared to teaching Universities etc.

Wasn't it the same Ben who raised a motion for the payment of #5,000 monthly stipend for the unemployed that was viciously opposed by APC senators?? To the extent that even Lai Mohammed denied that Buhari ever promised to pay that stipend!!

If what you say in the first fews lines of your commentary is true - which I doubt very greatly - then we can count Buhari to be the most irresponsible leader. Why??
He is now the president and leader of this country but till now - 8 months after swearing-in - he has continually passed the bulk for the state of the Nation to Jonathan and I guess we all know and have noted his opinions which is why folks like you may have voted him in. Right??

At least we all know that he promised to make the dollar equals to a Naira but we are still working with him naaah; even though the pound is #400 and the Dollar is #297, abi no be so?? He also promised to pay #5,000 monthly to Unemployed graduates nor be so!!?? He also promised Nigeria, in his address given at Chatham House in London, that nobody who is corrupt or has issues of corruption will serve in his government - I guess that excludes Amaechi - abi nor be so!!??

For the record, in the context of public opinion or human interaction, the definition of noise is relative. What one person will call noise made by a baby, another may call a cry for help or hunger.

The same applies, what a politician may call noise, a trial judge may call facts of a matter. This informs why opinion must be rated outside the realm of sentiments, so as to get a balanced perspective of issues as discussed.

Fact!! Ben Murray doesn't make noise. The fact that someone doesn't share your views/opinion on a matter doesn't make what they have to say noise!! That is actually the exact definition of someone who isn't open-minded.

Incase you are still not sure what noise means. See below: -

noise  (noiz)
n.
1.
a. Sound or a sound that is loud, unpleasant, unexpected, or undesired.

b. Sound or a sound of any kind: The only noise was the wind in the pines.

2. A loud outcry or commotion: the noise of the mob; a lot of noise over the new law.

3. Physics A disturbance, especially a random and persistent disturbance, that obscures or reduces the clarity of a signal.

4. Computers Irrelevant or meaningless data.

5. Informal
a. A complaint or protest.
b. Rumor; talk.
c. noises Remarks or actions intended to convey a specific impression or to attract attention: "The U.S. is making appropriately friendly noises to the new Socialist Government" (Flora Lewis).

Kudos to Bruce for highlighting this but am left to wonder is this what senators are paid jumbo allowances n wages for or was Bruce dead when Jonathan acquired the 10th presidential jet ?

When will this comedian senator do a comparison between the British Parliament budget n that of the Nigerian National Assembly ?

If as much as APC / Buhari is not getting it right on some national issues Bruce or any PDP politician are not the right person to point it out in my opinion considering the fact that they had the opportunity to correct the anomaly but instead aggravated it only to shout blue murder when it's APC turn 2 try.

No be fowl mouth dem go hear say pepper don cost for market so Bruce shut up.
Obviously you forgot that Ben Bruce just became a senator in 2015 here; I can understand your seemingly strong aversions to the person of Ben, but I believe the issue is not whether ben bruce said it or lai mohammed said it. The issue is, is it true? Yes or No?

The fact that ben bruce or PDP said it, doesn't make it a lie. And if at all you are current, then you would have known that even Ben bruce has once queried the senate budget; so keep calm and recognise a man who does it right!!
