mkoabiola: So many hilarious and misconstrue comments.Ah ah!!! Na wa oh!!!! Am I safe? When I spoke about slots, I was simply trying to be sarcastic & at D same time draw attention to D fact that no lawmaker gets "automatic slot" these days; in any case giving of slot is meant to ensure some sort of equity so that at least a person from each area gets a chance at such opportunities (its now left to D senator to determine how to share it); but D question U now ask is how many people R to be taken a state? How many tribes R in some senatorial areas? Plateau state has 52 ethnic tribes (all tribes having entirely different languages) and only 3 senators, how do U share? So senators R not eager to be involved & like I still said; even if there R slots, it aint automatic. Even If na U be D senator wey get slot there is no way U will do it; those holding D short end of D stick will allege corruption; those holding D long end of D stick will say "its just God". Even my kid niece knows what slot is. Also when I spoke of general social activities in D NAF, I was referring to what I consider general social activities in D NAF (its not like D NAF is an 'emotionalless' environment devoid of social activities). From Burial parties, to Passing out Parades for senior officers, to Briefings for senior officers, to Tambolas, happy hours, inductions, promotion parties at D messes, to guard of honour parades etc. D list is almost endless as to D activities where they have to rely on Airwomen or even female officers to make it a success and being wor wor will definitely be a serious disadvantage.......... |
samobaba4u: @ ehisi, your coments shows that you don‘t know anything about d army process or let me say about ssc/dssc.Hmmmmmmmmm............................................ Nice observation & thanks for your correction but I assumed that my comment (as well as this thread) was focused more on the DSSC/SSC shortlisting (whose timetable & annual calender) is strictly at D discretion of D Nigerian army under a Nigerian army selection board, NASB, and not NDA shortlisting whose scheduled is more or less under the immediate purview of Defence Headquarters under an Armed Forces Selection Board, AFSB, so that's a different thing altogether. Also if memory serves me correctly NDA shortlisting arrived well before D fasting ever even commenced last month. Like U rightly said, I clearly don't know anything about D army because fasting has got nothing to do with screening or release of names (all that talk of consideration is just "talk" but U did admit that your friend (who is a Muslim & U R sure whose name if U were to mention most "old ppl" on this thread would know him) who went for NDA screening told U D only "favour" they did for Muslims was to attend to them first before D other ppl; that doesn't seem like a consideration to U for an AFSB? Hmmmmmmm...........take my comment(s) simply as my "own" point of view based on my highly limited experience of how D military as a government agency works......No Harm taken; One love back at ya........... |
Generaloluseye: officer ehisi. Are u saying bottom power could play a role as in the case of women? Pls i ve a ? For u. I applied for ssc and i would like to join the aviation corps cos i learnt they sent some 40 guys for helicopter training. What is d criteria for putting pple into diff unit. Is it by choice or ll they make it for us. And also is the aviation corps fully functional. ThanksI am not quite sure what U mean by "bottom power" but I do know that for social courtesy calls or say PAF (presidential air fleet) cabin crew which is managed by D airforce or officers & NCO mess events or general social activities in D armed forces or ADC's and PA's to commanders; the NAF specifically (& D armed forces generally) would sometimes preferably love to choose ladies who R on D fair side or who look naturally attractive (not for immoral purposes really but) for the purpose of serving as tea girls/stewardesses/ADC's or PA's to senior officers (male & female) at certain events and that can give U some sort of edge as a lady in a recruitment circle if U're not looking too bad (I say this with strong reference to NCO recruitment though from time to time it happens in officers cadre sometimes); trust me they like fine girls well well or better still girls in D Miss or Mrs endowed category..... The army will put U were they want as an SSC applicant else they will have asked U to make your choice like D DSSC's did. Its left for U to know what U want to pursue as a career as an SSC officer & strategically position yourself (in terms of lobbying & other postgraduate courses U can take either at D NDA or other armed forces institution which R too many to mention) to pursue it. I don't know much about D aviation corp of D army & I am not willing to speculate about it as far as SSC & to a certain degree DSSC, U go where U R posted/assigned to & no place else except U dilligently seek it with strong reference to D standard or D general idea(depending on what's going on around U dia)............. |
Hmmmmmmmmmm......... There was a thread on NL spun for an issue, It had so many followers who didn't know what to do, So they calculated, speculated & raised so many clues, Till each one was sure that what they speculated as facts was true........ Moral of the rhyme? In the armed forces there's a saying; "assumption is a sin". I mean this thread has grown from hard facts to ball out assumptions. I won't be surprised if most of D officers handling the selection board (both regional & final) have even been released by their units; at a time when who is & isn't a member of the final board is a mystery in D Nigerian army, Nairalanders already knew when D first shortlist will come out. Na wa ooooooh!! See parade!!!! (that can only happen in a country like Nigeria).......lol Senators slot? Please!!!!! Most lawmen I know don't know D meaning of slot; (slot as in where U buy original phones? Where is D slot?). Especially now at a time when Lit Gen. Minimah is trying to prove his worth as a COAS, is it d same he that will be issuing automatic slot? Definitely there will be those who will approach him with list of candidates for "special" consideration, that don't mean they have a slot. Since his appointment, morale, welfare has been on top; and his brutal frankness has paved D way for upgrades to D armoury of D army (one of D biggest issues that most people dont realise is a major constraint & that it can keep morale in D clouds for a long time) Even veteran applicants admit that a few of the requirements have changed; so what makes U think D methods of selection won't? Did anyone at least think that the Army is an agency of government & that D government is given to respect holidays', religious observances (like D Muslim fast going on right now) and that they know that it ain't wise putting Muslim officers or candidates who will be fasting at a disadvantage in a recruitment exercise? D former COAS put D army through a whole lot of issues like ethnic bias, zero welfarism, low morale issues. The last thing they need is religious bias in recruitment in the face of D boko haram crisis & I can assure U d army will not be known for being religiously bias for any reason, mark my words........ As for D person who gave a testimony of how she entered D NAF (which is kinda like my turf); all of U forgot one major factor (and I thought there were veteran applicants who knew better). It's a lady's testimony; show me a picture of D lady & I will tell U exactly why see made it (not doubting God's power nor D fact Dat God is a factor in things like this). Any lady who is fairly gallant, good looking, and is "endowed" or preferably is a dependent of a personnel of D NAF or has a Godfather has D best chance of being in D airforce with ease so I am not surprised she got in. Its even more pronounced in NCO recruitment . U don't believe me,take a trip to any NAF base & examine D corporal below cadre or fresh set of female flying officers, its very Instructive............. |
azidomedogo: Mr man,u came late. read my previous posts again. So relaxOpenly Oh, secretly oh! There is planting going on....in any case, planting of heads has never been part of "the standard", it was always the general idea. When U walk into NDA for the first time, New recruits must be welcome into the system by planting of heads, that is the general idea amongst RC in NDA and that's the problem; the issue is not that U punished them but that U did it without offence, just for fun; that according to the standard is bullying and that according to the standard is not allowed. Even Military schools and command secondary boarding schools then when U enter, on the first day of inspection for the first saturday, the new JSS1 must collect...also the first saturday of inspection the new SS1 too must collect maximum Shishi that day. All these rites of passage are issued by senior just to remind U who is boss. Thats is just the general idea, it used to happen in kaduna and ibadan but some schools then and now even most schools have stopped it now But till today, go to any military school. Airforce Military School, NIgeria army military school, naval militry schools school, what instructors use to collect "washee" from Junior Airmen or Junior cadets or junior ratings or when U wanna let your instructors test U to confirm if U R good to go is simple " U say U are good to go BA? Oya go and sit down on your head for 10mins let see if U R gallant." and they do it with joy.......Openly!!!!!!! I doubt if it was stopped in NDA, but if it was, then it was the rites of passage that senior use to humble juniors that was stopped but as a form of punishment; secretly or openly? Men sit on their heads everywhere and fly their arms................ That's my just my opinion |
azidomedogo: head planting-pinning-skull grinding-lampard your pot or whateva u may call it was cancelled years back in NDA.those pix up their are oldies. So many RC cadets hav been sent home bcoz of this. Those who engage in it do it secretly.Even a serving officer dere not issue such orders openlyWhat are U talking about? I think U may have gotten your facts wrong. Ordinary command secondary schools (not Nigerian Military schools oh) that are boarding schools do it, not to talk of NMS then U won't do it in NDA. Even after training let a senior man like a major general invite U as a lieutenant to his office and ask U to sit down on your head and fly yours hands; then tell him it is not allowed make U no buy market. U will tell him that day whether U R his coursemate or not...........what is not allowed in NDA is bullying for strange reasons as well as fighting.......till this night men sit on their heads everywhere in military installations if U don't know, what is military even paramilitary sit on their heads not to talk of military.......when ordinary man -o- war dey use head sit for ground then U will say its not allowed? Ask wellu wellu oh!!!!!!! |
General oluseye: plus the last pics u posted. Is it actually training or punishment? This is because my friends do tell me that there is no way u ll avoid itThere isn't any difference between both. Punishment and training are one and the same thing as far as camps go.......they bring U out to teach U how to submit guard of honour parade and one person messes up, they punish everybody or one person in your set fails to properly offer military compliment to a senior man, they punish U all to send a clear message............. U lie down at 2.pm to face the sky or wake U all as early as 12midnight soak U all with water (clean or dirty) keep U at Attention from 12midnight till 4am let the early morning dew or harmattan chill U guys out. And release U only for U to return for a morning parade at 6.00hrs. All na the same thing, its simply a function of "as e dey hot". Planting your skull is actually the best, provided U don't get to do it on muddy soil. |
Gentlemen Officers in waiting, my advice, stop surfing your couch over Nairaland less and get out more. Start punching bags and pumping steel, jogging.....your possible home for the next couple of months awaits

@all..........I wonder who is more disgusting, the person who is dancing in the picture or the person who went the extra mile to time her dancing steps to give us "behind the scene" footage of her sugar walls. Don't be hypocrites. It is obvious that whoever put this pix here does not have the interest of the lady in the picture; hence the birth of the thread and in the real fact the person who put those pictures has no respect for women. If not why bring the pix here, if the person in the pix is even your wayward loved one, you will call the person to order on the spot instead of looking for which forum to paste her pix.......... ![]() |
mendax: @odumchi, what does the boldened phrase mean? and BTW no country jumps into another just like that. You are here on Nairaland seeking to join the military, which means u dont know much about it. I dont think you are in the right position to judge the experience of Nigerian senior military officers. Have u heard of War College? Granted that they may not have much experience like US, UK military officers, but where have u seen real wars going on, with troops actually participating these days? Most places u see foreign troops now are UN operations, and the troops are carrying out some form of peace mission. You are wrong aboutthe police, they are an armed force (Whose boss the IG is a service chief) and like all armed forces their operations are determined by law which in Nigeria's case is determined by law as civil operations. In countries like Israel, the policeare used to fight insurgents, which is almost alien here in Nigeria, but Nigerian police have also been involvedin foriegn missions. Who do you think trained the Liberian nd sierra leonian police? |
ibraheemtolu: Greetings to all the military men/women in here and noble civilians...1) The prism program in the usa has posed an intelligence threat worldwide and has shown the neglect the armed forces has with respect to ICT so your degree give you serious advantage as there is massive demand for ICT personnel in the armed forces . As time progresses, ICT personnel will be used in hosting training as well as become key-policy makers for a solid info security, for now I seeweb programming as well as ICT training as the options. 2) Yes, NYSC is non-negotiable, Godfather or no Godfather. 3) Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! 4) No, your senior is your senior. Except in the case of Godfatherism where a junior officer calls a senior officers to halt u with an order your junior is your junior whether DSSC or regular and must follow orders (is that clear). 5) Yes, regular's in some units (depending on availability ) are given special appointments locally e.g. OC PASS, CO, Base commanders etc. But since DDSSC are specialists they sometimes receive favour in specialised appointments both locally and internationallly e.g. Hospital and Military school commanders, foriegn missions, PAF ( Presidential air fleet) etc so it depends on available hands on deck with respect to training but it is to your advantage if your junior holds an appointment like CO or OC PASS because that means you get to boss him around if necessary. 6) REAR ADMIRAL, if you can maintain a clean record without buying Job, pass all promotion exams, and give them the standard where-ever you are. USually anybody DSSC or regular can be chief of army navy or air staff which is the highest attainable rank if you meet just one major condition. For airforce, you must be a pilot (whether DSSC or regular) and quota system and the political regime (The C-in-C) must favour you. Quota in the sense that they may decide that an igbo man must be chief of air staff and you are the only igbo trained pilot within the rank of air-commodore and above; that automatically makes you chief of airstaff. There is also age and years of service but that has been over-ruled by the C-in-c in many instances so it isn't a major factor. For navy you must be a naval pilot and be able to steer a vessel before you can reach the highest rank else rear admiral is your limit. Airforce If you aren't a pilot and age and politics is on your side, AVM -air vice marshal is your last bustop. Army, Lieutenant General is the highest that is chief of army staff, but you will most likely be a regular or in the infantry or armoury division else major-general is your highest. 7) YES, Commodore and above As we speak, DSSC officers are in maiduguri and jos and Niger delta along side regulars fighting insurgency. DSSC don't need to convert that's why they are called Direct short service only short service convert to regular commission else they are pushed out of the service......I hope I have answered satisfactorily |
The comments coming out of this threads are loaded with a lot of fiction. Take note that the army, navy, airforce are just agencies under the ministry of defence so promotion for each set is done every 5 yrs Now (unlike yesteryears when it was 4yrs). And promotions are based on examination performance. Also there is quota system which is heavily competitive as certain number of officers from each region are promoted yearly so you will hold an office for a minimum of 4yrs, in the 5th year you will write exams and then get decorated by the end of the fifth year if you pass and make it through the quota selection for that year. If you pass but are not promoted, you will rewrite the exams again the next year and be promoted. If you fail the exams you will be given three chances after which you will be asked to retire. For every time you fail the exam, you will lose certain days of seniority which will b published (ranging from 60 days to 2yrs) Take note that the armed force is a commission so when you join determines your seniority. They can be two flight lieutenant in the airforce but one joined in 2004, the other joined in 2006. The 2004 officer is the senior and will be saluted by the 2006 officer even though they bear the same rank. Also you must remember that the armed forces are just federal agencies even if all the aircrafts of the army and navy (yes the navy has an airfleet) are in order you will not even want to fly because they far less ten percent of what commercial pilots earn in additional to your basic salary which is still federal pay anyhow you look at it; private sector workers in some sectors earn more. Not to mention the risk associated with flying foe the armed force which includes getting shot down by boko boys or Somali pirates. Except you have what we call a redneck (a red tag that is added to your collar as a part of you rank from colonel in the army, group captain in the airforce and equivalent rank in the navy and above); money is usually made from either foriegn missions (which in some cases come with the risk of you not returning back cause youwere missing in action - and that is for just hostile missions) or appointment eg you are made a director of education in the navy or a CO of a base or a financial officer (those in pay office rarely miss promotion) or you are a staff in the PAF ( presidential air fleet) or a sector commander or an officer in a sector handling conflict like those in the jtf or operation restore hope or stf. The navy is the envy and pride of the nigerian armed forces and even though the army is the mother force (meaning the other forces where cut out nd initially receiving training from army installations) the navy is seriously coming up and has surpassed the army in maintaining standards, the army is good but is heavily populated so there is so much politics from welfare to promotions, the politics is everywhere. The airforce also has got politics but do your best, gov them the standard and your rise us sure. I advise you join navy, you can't make it, try airforce, army should be a last resort. This thing I am telling you is what everybody knows that have interacted with the armed forces. |
Just coming in!! All of etisalat monthly plans (and when I say all, I mean all with the exception of none) now have a data capp of 3gb!!! I am dropping my bb for an andriod phone sharp sharp!! I don't like it oh!! Haba its not fair (ok maybe its a little fair but its not that fair)!! |
Godvilla: Bro No be so na.......Gbammm!!!!! Seconded |
@all... If there is one thing that I know that any one should take away from this debate whether you be a Christian or a muslim - and at this point I am convinced that you will have to be a blind fanatic, Christian or muslim to disagree - and that is the fact that Muslim's from their general conduct are generally hostile or easily given to violence when the issue of their religion is raised (whether it be criticism or slight offence deliberate or accidental) and it is a thing of worry to the whole world!! As a Child growing up, I was almost mobbed when I accidentally used my shoe to step into a praying ground - I had never known what islam meant - and no one even offered to explain to me what I had done wrong (and believe me I count myself lucky that it happened in Lagos; I guess I would have long have joined my ancestors if it were in Zamfara or gombe such had happened)!! What is even more worrisome is that when they raise chaos everybody demands for peace , calm and dialogue (even when people are killed)!! As a child whenever I heard of killings in the North I always wondered why it was never seen as murder simply because a muslim felt offended at something someone did (even if it were in ignorance). They say God is merciful yet they show none!! They say it teaches peace, yet some of today's most bloody wars are centred around wars that God supposedly sent them to wage ( as though God's hand is too short to punish offenders or too feeble to wage war)!! In effect by their conduct they declare God incapable of taking action himself towards Sin or offence yet he made man!! This is confusion and God is not the author of confusion!! As for my Christian fella's, I must say that what I find appalling amongst them is that sometimes they are not bold in their profession ( a sign of a mind difficult to renew). They are admit they are not under jewish law but agree that a man who doesn't tithe is cursed; they admit they are Son's like Jesus but can be bound and need deliverance like daniel, they believe that faith is important but would rather be in church only on sunday tha attend a bible study during the week!! I find it an interesting puzzle!!! I wonder what God would have to say about it right now #just thinking aloud# |
alexis: I like the fact that you are level-minded. What does Islam teach concerning killing of others especially non-muslims?I can tell U (now note that I am telling you this as a practicing born-again christian who has read portions of the qoran and lots of history books and lots of the bible born in a christian home) that the qoran actually commands all muslims to live in peace among people (irrespective of their religion) who do not question/bar them from practicing islam (a priviledge mohammed never had - that is a place to peacefully practice).; hence the need to fight; the history books actually show that mohammed lost muslim brothers and sisters to starvation because in his home city it was agreed among the clans that no one will trade nor sell food to mohammed and those who believed he heard from a God he couldn't see (which was definitely going to put a hole in the pockets of those who forged/made the images of the gods which they could see). So the need to host a jihad (which he had to hear from God to declare). The problem lies in the interpretation of qoran as proposed by the Hadith and the random interpretation of Jihad and the random interpretation of "question/bar from practicing islam", muslims are also taught by the qoran to walk (with restraint and humility) the fine line that the laws of the land gives in such a way that the qoran/allah's laws are not disobeyed e.g.The qoran does not specify an age that a girl can be given out for marraige so far its done in line with islamic laws. This is however not an excuse for Senator Yerima to marry a 12year old girl ( a clear violation of Nigerian law) and claim that since he didn't sin against allah, he cannot be prosecuted for obeying his religion. If U must marry, exercise restraint and wait until She is 18 then marry her. We christians are a major favourite of fundametalist and radical muslims for bombings and attacks for one major reason (The trinity)!! The qoran also states for the benefit of all who listen that there is one God and one God alone - a death knell for major proposers of the trinity (the idea of three persons in one God; who by the way are Christians) - what they (muslims) fail to realise is that that scripture was a response to a theory raised by a heathen culture that stated that God almighty got married to venus, had a wonderful sex life and gave birth to Christ ( a mixture of Greek mythology and Christianity that was designed to ensure the relevance of the worship of venus - a major source of intimacy.u.a.l perversion and intimacy.u.a.l related crime in those days) that is also why the Hadith now records that any suggestion that God ( or Allah as muslims call him) presented himself in a human form or any attempt to "humanise God" should be regarded as "Shirk" -Sin- God can never take the low and corrupted form of a man ( principles that revelations in Christianity now teach concerning Jesus Christ; hence the reason why most christians are the preferred target practice for radical islamist)!! But just as some Christians in the name of the fear of the Lord will be afraid to speak against revered elders in the Christian faith when something may appear to be done wrong in the name of not speaking against God's servant/annoited so also muslims are afraid of speaking openly against their own elders especially when certain sensitive issues are discussed - the most sensitive of all being the introduction of Sharia; which is seen by some as building a caliphate of Spiritual foundation's whose leader/king is God almighty- allah as he is called in arabic - and only his law ruling the land and in time extending his dominion on the face of the earth!!! When this is discussed everybody isn't quite sure what next to say next lest they be found to be opposing God's rule and be wrongly declared as committing major "Shirk" or "Haram"!! c |
Tolullopsy: Fellow Nairalanders,i made a mistake of buying this phone through the testimonyIn the very thread where U were cajoled on Naira land to buy the "hone" ( I say "hone" because it is not a phone). I made a similar case for us Nairalanders to run a campaign like the one you are doing on facebook;except for physise no one really read my thread . I didn't buy the phone hence I would have preferred it if someone who did, created the page but I guess no one seemed interested so this is what I'm gonna do; I will create the page but I need U to look for a good camera phone and take a picture of the pack of the hone with the name of the company that is infinix showing boldly and then upload it here for me. I will use it as the profile picture for the page and send a link to the infinix thread here in Niara land for them to follow and register their complaints. What say U? |
techfreak: Guys pls does d infinix joypad hav problems like d racebolt. pls help i wanna buy it....!This is why 419 in this country will never end. Somebody is selling a joy pad with a full HD screen with ram of 512mb with an android OS that has 3g and U wan buy am. After you go say them sell U electric heater abi na hotplate, na waoh!!! Ok buy am, then when e over you, you can come and share ur testimony with us later; physise that went to their official facebook page to register his protest was blocked and that goes for any other person who wanna do the same and you wan go pay for joypad (abi dem for just call am sorrowpad ). It is well; why U no go ikeja find good london used tab 2 buy or samsung galaxy sII buy instead of looking for emotional and financial stress (with ya own money again oh).. Nna na wa oh!!! |
In that case! I think the best solution (since infinix don't take too kindly to criticism on their facebook page) is to craete a facebook page . I recommend that we here first agree to christian a Facebook page name here (so as to help us identify with each other quickly) and take pictures of all the defective ifinix phones, their cases and make its membership open so that we can register our misgiving and if possible demand some form of compensation for those who have been robbed or"rubbed" as the case may be. What say U all. I recommend we dub the page " save Nigerians from infinix". I also recommend that an admin for the page be nominated from among those who were robbed by infinix and we fellow nairalanders go there and cook up a storm. I also recommend that we use a picture of infinix phone case with the name of the company showing clearly as the facebook profile picture for the page!! Who will second this motion?? |
beatbug: nw i seeeee! Dey wanna kill d warranty wit thier own hands! Smh!. Now i know all along marketers filled this thread jus to get thier low end product sold. am soo mad at dis thread after dis creepy discoveries, CANt IMAGINE MASELF HANDLIN A DEVICE DAT ASK FOR BA3 PULL OUT WEN HEATED UP TO HEAVENS, 6HOURS TO GET FULL POWER- 5 hours to drain up, fake 8mp camera(not really a factor though. . .), d device is cheap but d money aint cheap either, 4 me dis device is scam. . .ma hopes is so X after followin dis thread from day 1. . . So annoyin. . . McheeewThe real question is where is francis247 and sexywale or whatever slogan they go by to argue with the raw experience of a customer(might I add paying customer because the phone was bought). Its is unfortunate that naija bois and gals can still enter a wonderful fora like this and ............anyway that is a different matter. The real reason why phones like tecno, infinix, qlink, gfive and other such ministries of gadgets are scary to me is just two areas of production. 1.) The panels of these phones. If you go to established hands like qualcomm, texas instruments, intel, samsung etc. Your phone will be subject to series of performance testing to deal some of these basic things like overheating, explosion etc because these guys have reputations to guard. It is in the course of testing that industry geeks tend to divulge information about test sample -at least to create a build up to a media blitz or a marketing hype. However these chinco players are low on quality so they dare no approache the big boys for panel and so we are left with frying pan as panel when the user gets to works on his own paid for device. 2.) The delicate mix of ram, gpu and battery is another thing I access. When I saw infinix I said to myself 512mb. It can be smooth now but after I push the phone thru 6hrs of gaming what will happen? Also. How good is the battery (and I am talking about quality). I didn't have the chance to even contemplate far because the device just went below par for me. The testimony I am giving now is thank God I didn't "flush" my bb torch down the toilet or just give out as I was planning to do when I first saw this phone. E reach to do thanksgiving............. But on a most serious note my amaiable Nairalanders; isn't there a body that can sit over matters such as these here where aggrieved phone consumers can table their matters to so that substandard devices can be flushed down "The Nigerian Toilet" for good once and for all never to be seen again. If it does not exist can we forge one out of simple goodwill and demand that manufacturers submitt a sample of their device for a review that we can give our stamp of approval so that. No more hearts. Be broken anymore |
so d infinix is not a good phone?? and it hangs??
To tell you that I know what I am talking about; the store I went to that had the showroom is near micro station. This race bolt at micro station is #24,300. The device I even expected these marketers to hype is the infinix X700 which is a small tab of say roughly 7". The race bolt cost #26k at that show room. The tab I.e. The X700 cost #32k at the show room but cost #26k at microstation and both stores are at the same street in computer village. I was even looking at the tab which was even smoother and seemed to have a more balanced ecosystem when I saw the sleek looking X450 and the the phone. Dulled me. Clearly it is possible that either the phone and those hailing it are marketers or middlemen or moderate users in disguise or like the iphone and exploding motorola's, there is a faulty batch of phones in circulation. Word on gsmarena.com is even apple had to return over 30% of their own phone back to foxconn (manufacturing patners of apple) for poor quality. It is not unlikely that the same may be happening here. It is for concerns like mine as well as a few others who are seeing these flaws to be weighed, tried in the balance before we are found wanting; after all for a minute I almost gave up my bb torch for it. But not after that episode, so if U insist on buying wait a while for the dust of these concerns to settle down; after all the price tends to settle down a little more and the you may even get a fair review of this device because M... All I see is mostly marketers talking!! |
saxywale: guy, you be learner?lolFrom clear observation of all threads in this debate it is obvious that some marketers are here arguing for this device; I don't have issues with business men but with folks that don't know how to decently pass comments or disagree with someone elses opinion without mudslinging or using the language of a gutter slime. My own experience is another man's mystery and my depth of skills is any man's guess save I voice out. I've handled the samsung galaxy Note I, Note II, SIII, Tab I, TabII never one day needing to reset the device nor experiencing hanging at all. I enter somewhere to buy a blackberry 9320 for my mother saw infinix X450 got excited; handled the phone....hanging, I call marketer reset the, smoother performance tried the camera, angry birds, file manager . Only to discover that they where still working in the background; I went back to each task and properly exited them again; waited a couple of minutes then checked again ......for where!!! Them no gree close.. I carry my blackberry torch (that I almost gave up for a fleeting second for this infinix) and gave my. Own conclusion by experience and in light of the fact that the device as well as others na just 512mb ram (as opposed to the samsung phones I have just mentioned with the average minimum ram of 1gb). One call me learner with no experience ( but is convinced that experience in politics and autos will suffice) another one want to turn me to his patient and diagnose me as one avoiding to take his medicine....... If marketers and middlemen don't talk like that, who will......my mind on the device is made. As much as I still respect and willingly entertain others opinion, I choose to stick to mine all the same.Tanshu veli munch!!! |
francis247: Unless u're talking of some other phone other than the Race Bolt, I think someone 4got 2 take his meds. Now I wish I could somehow manage to descend to the type of language you used to qualify me/my comment about my personal experience but I just can't find the strength of character to do so. Besides with the influx of different categories of series/season films (thanks to piracy), you never know what new lines kids are learning these days. Well if U haven't noticed; the topic of this forum's debate is "infinix X450 Andriod Phone (ICS)-Race Bolt" and if you look closely at my comment again you will find that I was actually in a show room in a store in computer village and I was allowed to preview the phone and my conclusion was the result of that experience. If you also look at a couple of more threads of comment after yours you will find that someone else also had a similar experience as mine; the only difference is that he bought his phone while mine was previewed in a showroom. |
but U did admit that your friend (who is a Muslim & U R sure whose name if U were to mention most "old ppl" on this thread would know him) who went for NDA screening told U D only "favour" they did for Muslims was to attend to them first before D other ppl; that doesn't seem like a consideration to U for an AFSB?
As we speak, DSSC officers are in maiduguri and jos and Niger delta along side regulars fighting insurgency. DSSC don't need to convert that's why they are called Direct short service only short service convert to regular commission else they are pushed out of the service......
