. I disagree with your argument though you are entitled to your opinion. When Abiola declared himself president the military junta picked him up Igboho has never declared Yoruba nation taking effect If he says as from today Yoruba nation is in effect it can become an issue but he is just creating awareness for what he believes in. The Law does not recognize intention but action. It is the action taken that becomes an issue in law not what you have in mind or about to do. As for Kanu he appears to have declared publicly the begining of Biafra nation and has been accused of security breach in the East. In view of the that the government may want to caution him with arrest, detention and prosecution .

Good evening great minds of Nairaland. Please i need your honest contribution.
I currently work with a private clearing company that pays me weekly allowance of #30,000 - #35,000 and a monthly salary of #60,000 totalling 180 - 200 thousand every month.
However, I was among successful shortlisted candidates of a paramilitary agency recruitment exercise of the FG as a BSC holder.
I made enquiry on the start up pay and discovered is around #75,000- #83,000 for my level entry.
I don't know if i should go for the federal job with a lesser pay or remain with my current job.
NB: Date to resume to the training camp for the FG job is just around the corner.
Honest thought are welcome.
. No paramilitary will pay a graduate 75k .....mmit will be 100 and above.....Besides which paramilitary work? Your company can sack you anytime but there is security in FG work. However which kind of work are u even referring to? If it is NDLEA go for it .job security is in FG work till eternity

. The government established and funded universities Universities founded funded staff schools expecting government to fund them .The government decision is that staff schools staff should be dismissed or their salaries paid with the school fees collected from the students of such schools. SOME SCHOOLS HAVE ACCEPTED while some are still adamant.By 2022 the decision of the government is the their salaries will not be captured again. In my opinion the affected staff should be absorbed into the mainstream of the universities while new ones should be employed into the staff schools with their salaries paid through the school fees collected from the students.

Christianity Etc › Re: My Confusion About God And The Scriptures. by ejimatic: 3:12pm On Jul 01, 2021
udoji2021:
I have been thinking about this lately and decide to share it here. Don't get me fellas, I'm a Christian and believe in God and his son Jesus Christ

BUT

It is believe that God created the world and knows what happened before, what is happening presently and what will happen later till the end of time. This brings me question on why he allowed Satan to decieve man, why was he also angry since He knew beforehand of what will happen? Then the consequent punishment, was it really justified?

The most confusing part to me now is life after death. I personally believe that there is heaven and hell right from my childhood days until one guy (Jehovah witness) told me that there is nothing like hell, he went on that even heaven is for a specific number of choose people and not for everyone, above all, he said that when one dies, your own is finished and you are not gonna go anywhere. Simply put, your body and spirit will die.

I nearly insulted him for spewing such rubbish but many years after, I'm beginning to think think twice about this issue.
Now, imagine suffering in this life for all the days of your life only to meet death (body and spirit),

My question is;

1) why not just enjoy your life even if it means doing bad things to enjoy life?
If you can't enjoy life, why not kill yourself and rest to avoid the sufferings?

2) Even if there is life after death, what if there is no suffering cos God may decide to give everyone peace after death.

3) Those that didn't hear anything about God, what is their fate?

4) which of the scriptures is to be trusted?

May God forgive my ignorance if what I just wrote is bad and punishable.
. I have sent a message to you already. We will talk more on this and share some Bible based books with you.Your questions are reasonable,. Permit me to say briefly here on each question 1 You can enjoy your life even now but not with a bad thing because you will answer for the way you live your life at the end. If you suffer don't kill yourself because life is sacred .Man's suffering is temporary. 2. The Bible makes it clear that the righteous will enjoy special blessings from God while the wivked will be destroyed.3 God knows some people may not hear anything about him before the judgment day He will take this into consideration .4 Bible is one though with many translations in order to make it widlwy circulated. However it was written in Aramaic Hebrew and Greek .If there is confusion in a scripture check how it is rendered in the original text. Read the following scriptures:. ICor 10 :13. Rev 21 3 to 5. Psalms 37 vrs 29. Proverb 2 vrs 21 to 23 Roman 14 vrs 9

Robertkenny:
Adepetun Robert Kehinde.

I read something really inspiring a few days back, I can’t find that picture now, so I will try to quote it to as much accuracy as possible
I’ve seen people falling in love at 18, getting married at 21, having kids at 24, and living the perfect life. I’ve seen people starting their college at 24, and not getting married before 35. I’ve seen perfect relationships turning into beautiful marriages and I’ve seen perfect marriages falling apart. I’ve seen people having paid jobs at 21, and joining college at 23, and I’ve seen people graduating at 25, and not having any job till 31.

The point is it’s not that someone is winning the race or someone is lagging behind. The point is it’s not a race, but life. It goes on, and it won’t go on according to the other person, it will go on according to you. Everyone’s life has different pace, and different phases, just because you’re still struggling, doesn’t mean you’re behind someone. You are working on your own pace.

See, everyone has problems. The people you think look perfect on the outside, are the ones who are fighting bigger issues on the inside. It’s you who has to tackle your problems, and tackle them one by one. If you look at the problems, it’s like an army and you have limited ammunition to kill them all. If you will panic you will throw your ammo on one set of problems, and later regret because you’d still be surrounded by it. So say plan.

Plan and tackle them one by one. One ammo on one problem at a time. No money? Get a job. No job? Study and prepare for interviews. Plan your life, and your schedule and routine, and do things one by one, and I’m sure by this time next year, most of your problems would’ve been gone!

You’re not a failure and no one is, all I see are soldiers fighting for a better future ahead with much enemies disguised as Unemployment, Poverty, Lack of support etc.

Less I forget, always stay connected to positive friends or better still business friends.

Shared from Bogger.

Kindly share your thought on this.

I love this piece by his Excellency. However the truth is nobody born of a woman can reclaim his mandate of presidency in Nigeria for the following reasons: 1 The population of the country 2 The states involved in election 3 The time for hearing 4 Judges for the hearing were appointed by the rulling party 5 Lack of time won't allow you to prove your case beyond the reasonable doubt .Baba Awolowo experienced this failure So did PMB and Atiku . Jonathan ran away tactfully because he knew he would never win in court. On the other hand his Excellency thanked Nigerians for supporting him but what have we been experiencing since 2015? Hunger starvation high cost of living and inflation. Every Nigerian has a story to tell on his or her living condition. The question is : ;Dwho do we blame now? grin grin grin

. I don't usually want to talk about Kanu Sowore and others because their sensitive cases are in court. However like I said sometimes ago there are people who claim to be leaders by their personal decision.Nobody chose them and that is why they are making mess of their self- acclaimed leadership.I am not surprised they are only seeking attention from NIGERIANS.Kanu was released on bail and ran away only to be extradited to Nigeria on Sunday. Woukd Ojukwu do that? Ojukwu fought for the Igbos and was ready to die for them Does Kanu have same spirit ? I know for sure that the Igbos I know who are my friends will never choose a person of his calibre to fight for their interest.Sowore like his Igbo
run away friend would be running away for arrest and staging drama in court Is that a freedom fighter? Woukd Bola Ige Obafemi Awolowo Fahwehinmi Gani do that? The truth is if there is a civil war in Nigeria(God forbid another war in our land) most of these people who claim to be leaders will run away and expose the lives of their followers to danger. As for Kanu it must have been better for him not to jump bail than to be extradited and claiming he is a LEDEAR for the great Igbo kingdom.

A 21-year-old undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Chidinma Ojukwu, has narrated how she stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, to death in the Lekki area of Lagos State, Igbere TV reports.

She spoke at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday after she was paraded as a suspect by the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

She said,

I am not in any way prempting the decision of the court on this matter but I want to evaluate the case succinctingly. The questions are 1 Is this the first time of sleeping with each other? Answer is NO. 2 For self defence with a man on sex matter is it the neck you will stab or abdomen?Answer it is difficult to target neck since both of you are on the bed.The man would possibly defy the stab .It is however easy to stab in in the tummy with the purpose of sending him away. The deceased was stabbed in the neck leading to profuse blood shed. 3 The lady claimed she was inebriated. Was she inebriated when she went out to withdraw the man's smoney? Answer is No 4 What could have happened if it was self defence ? She would have raised alarm after a stab or left the place with the man groaning. 5 Was there a deliberate attempt to kill the man? It appears so. In my opinion there was a delibrate attempt to kill him. After the first round of sex he allowed him sleep and used that opportunity to stab him in the neck repeatedly till he died. Another party could have been involved too on the matter guiding the lady what to do to make a fast money on him. This is indeed a case of murder manslaughter and homicide and a great lesson for men, ladies and parents. I sympathize with the deceased family who lost a breadwinner suddenly.

Dadaboy:
Good day Nairalanders..

I am in dire need of support from people who have travel experience.
When I say travel experience, I mean people who has relocated from Nigeria completely.

I will be 30 next month, single (have always hated the idea of marrying any lady in Nigeria because I have been unlucky with most of them i met as they seem complicated, inconsequential, dishonest and inexposed).

To make this short, I spent a lot of my youth working so hard to save enough money with the mindset to relocate from Nigeria as Nigeria depresses me alot.

I have been able to save nearly 20 million naira, excluding investments running in millions i wish to put on cargo to ship wherever I wish to relocate to.

Now, my problem is finding a suitable location or environment where i can relocate to without stress and problems.

Note that, I do not intend to work for anyone as I have my own skills.

United States, United Kingdom are out of my plans as I have realised their system are not built to favour me or my type of person and seem more like stress and a slavery environment to me.

I applied for Canada visa with hope to get work permit but has been on hold for months as they have been on lockdown since.

Having lived in South Africa before for a short while and felt like home there, I had it as an oand invest ption but I am at crossroads, if I can have better suggestions from experienced people here.

Also, if anywhere in Europe is advisable (remember I do not wish to work for anyone except part time, in my field or if must require me to get a work visa)

Please I need advice.
Pls do not go to any country Stay in Nigeria and invest with the money. There is population here in Nigeria which makes it good for business. Study your market well and sell what is moving there .You will be happy you did.You can later go abroad for vacation but not now..Invest here in Nigeria Good luck

Newguy999:
I am a guy, currently 22 years of age. For some time in the past I usually have occasional chest pains which comes and goes within 10 minutes. I thought it was as a result of my sugar intake as I consume soft drinks a lot with little or no exercises so I decided to cut down on my soft drink to no avail because I always end up going back to it.

Fast forward to sometime last month, I traveled to Europe to get a medical degree and when I got here, I started living on junk foods, KFC and McDonald’s as I could not cook. The chest pain came back one night and I decided to complain to my dad. Immediately I complained to him, I became conscious of it and I started fussing over it.

I went to google and everything I saw about pains in the chest always leads to cardiac arrest, stroke and dying. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I was always trying to check my heartbeat every chance I get. My dad said it was due to the junk foods so I stopped junk foods and soft drinks as my cholesterol could be high. I still couldn’t shake off the horrible feeling I got whenever I checked my heartbeat.

I started having panic attacks and difficulties with breathing and always feeling tired. I eventually went for check up and my heartbeat showed a beat of 68 bpm. I got checked by a cardiologist, neurologist and an orthopedic doctor and they all said my vitals looked normal, blood pressure normal, blood oxygen level normal, blood sugar normal except for the orthopedic doctor who told me I had to fix my slouching posture.

It’s been a week after the check up but my life isn’t back to normal. I can’t keep complaining to my parents because I gave them quite a scare with my first complaint and I know they have their own life to live but I’m just scared, I live alone in my apartment here and I’m new so no friends yet.

Anytime I check my heartbeat it still feels irregular,I can’t enjoy the foods I use to love, I get scared of doing strenuous exercises like jogging because I’ve heard stories of people who collapsed while jogging, i don’t enjoy my sleep anymore as I read that most people with cardiac problems die in their sleep.

For a week now, I have been going for evening walks to keep fit and exercise and I only eat once a day. I eat 2 apples every day and I swallow a capsule of omega 3 fatty oil daily. The only protein I consume now is salmon or mackerel fish because of their heart strengthening capabilities.

I can’t focus on my studies anymore but I can’t complain because I don’t want to bother my parents anymore but I’m scared. Some nights I wake up with panic attacks and every morning I feel happy for sleeping and waking up successfully. I hate how flawed the human design is. Sometimes I get distracted but as soon as I feel any slight discomfort in my chest, I check my heartbeat and it feels irregular. There’s occasional sharp pains in my head that goes almost immediately and sometimes I feel blood throbbing through my veins in different parts of my body. Tomorrow I’ll be going out to get an apple series 6 watch so I can monitor my vitals better.

Sorry for the long read, I just had to let all of thYou will be is out.
