EducationRe: Advice Needed: Is Going To The University Worth It Anymore? by ekerintee: 2:20pm On Jun 01, 2020
The problem is not about going to university but about studying a course which is demanded.the labour market has changing demand . Nigerian youth must know what is in demand presently and also in the next 10 years .some course are out of demand or low demand and spending 5 years to study such is a waste of time.its really good to go university but not everybody can go ,in Nigeria much emphasis is placed on university certificate and u are more like nobody without it,it's not so in developed countries where emphasis is placed on vocational training, what u can contribute to the society.in the developed countries, people are trained regularly, the govt support.like somebody who finished university and has no job,he is adviced on suitable job wit high job chances and trained in such area.in Nigeria,we assume that once u finish uni, school is finished .so get trained in relevant course in demand,if u have opportunity to get university education,go for a good course you have passion for and in demand

In some part of Europe ,taxes is about 30 to 40 percent or more based on your tax class .some pay more tax than others .

Yes, I agree with 90% of what you said, but earning 100K and left with 40K is just an exaggeration. at best you would be left with 65k even if you are living in New York city

A friend told me about somebody who told him that he is broke and can't even fuel his car in naija .he asked for money from my friend .it's really funny to know that my friend does not even have a car abroad and not even a house of his own.people in naija don't know that you have to pay house rents every month,u have to pay all the bills every month ,electricity and water.you can't dodge it ,u have to pay radio and television taxes .The system abroad is based on taxes so that this tax can be used to help others and the develop the country.it is designed to take away from the rich to help the poor ,to balance the gap bw rich and poor.so when u earn much ,u pay more tax.in Nigeria ,u can afford to have 3 or 4 cars but abroad majority in Europe don't have a car,it's expensive to even build a house or buy a house .whereas in naija ,people can have 4 houses .I laugh when people say naija is the worst place on earth.even with all the bad things in naija ,there are some things people in naija still enjoy.when people abroad send all their money back home ,it's because they believe that is where they have hope to build a house and start good business and not abroad.alot of things you can't do abroad because you are a foreigner but you can do in naija .so when people send me request ,I examine the need and see if it's urgent .if not urgent ,u have to wait .it may be after 1 to 3 month.if u can't wait ,u need to find other options.things are also hard abroad, while most Nigerians are asleep, most people abroad are on their way to work as early as 4am .doing tedious job for 8 or more hours

Desperation can bring out the worst in people. I agree with you, i try to set aside a percentage of my earnings for charity, but i discovered that people will always take advantage of it. Some people who make requests end up living better than you, they walk into restaurants and spend money you won't spend on one sitting. You soon start to feel like you are being taken advantage of.

To show that she is a terror at home, she slapped the man.not even afraid of consequences and even telling him that he will meet her at home.sometimes ,I ask myself why men cheat ,but there are many reasons but in all I see it that some men think it's normal just for the fun of it.i have also come to understand that men who keep side chicks don't necessarily love the side chicks more than their own wife.so many things can push a man out to a side chicks,so I cant condemn the man but I condemn his cheating behaviour and I strongly condemn violence and cheating by both sex .

quote author=Olalan post=90088533]As much as I condemn cheating by men or women.....the video shows how much of a weakling the man is......a wife slapping the husband not once not twice.....

It's not about being broke .it's the African woman mentality.even when they have money, they still want the man to spend and that is the sign of a responsible man.this ought not be so .if he does not send you money but he remembers it and values you .its still better .life is about time ,have u asked him about his plans for life, and what he intends to do with his life..did you try to support with miney for him to start a course ,maybe in it.how much did you invest in him? .I think the guy knows you have money and he is only acting stingy

I can't really judge this matter until I hear from the other side.from experience, men and women think difeernently .the way you think is different from his.You may think he is stingy but he may not think so .some guys may be rich but may not believe in spending money on a girl and thus act stingy to see if u will leave them.but personally,I believe you can change him.on the other hand,I think it's not good for ladies to be in a relationship and expect the guy to spend on them like as if he is their father.in some relationship ,someone spends more ,in Nigeria ,the guy usually spend more to keep the relationship and most ladies see a guy who does not as stingy .if you really love him,try to talk to him.i think he has to get a job ,no matter how small.not everybody loves to teach, there are some jobs that you will take up ,that will not allow you to go for interviews.it will just tie you down.he needs a job that is flexible and will allow him to seek the desired job.you just want any meagre job for him and later you complain your man is a teacher .lol.To be stingy is bad ,but I think it has to be a little moderate spending .it's not a must for him to send you money on your birthday,I wonder the way Nigerians think.i don't stay in Nigeria and I have seen white guys who will prefer just a little flower than money.a white girl will never ask for money, but you see the African girl,it's in the blood .whethr born at home or abroad ,just
My opinion.if you don't like his character and can't change him, then you make him know and leave him to find somebody who suits you.As simple as that ,anyway we need to hear from the other side to know if he is really stingy lol

I should help him grow while he doesn’t take care of me , no matter how little. Am sorry I can’t do that .

]So this doctor is here again to tarnish the image of his wife. When will you rest Mr docki. You go from one blog to the other creating fake username to justify what you did to a loving and loyal woman. Why not tell them on this forum how you use to beat your wife black and blue in Nigeria. Why not tell them on this forum how the police has arrested you on various occasion in Nigeria for beating up your wife. Remember to also let people hailing you on this forum know how you have a case with the human rights commission back home over your senseless beatings and abuse. Good thing you moved her to the UK last year. How have you been treating her since she moved to the UK?

You don't allow her to work, the moment she picks a shift with her agency you run away from the house so she can stay with your three kids. Don't forget the first kid isn't hers but she cared for the kids and lied to immigration the kid is hers to bring the boy here. You kept using the boy against her in the UK to disrespect her and lie to the police. You put cameras all over the house because you were expecting her to beat the boy one day so you can file child abuse against her but God pass you.

Kindly tell this forum how your wife has not been able to have just £50 in her name since she moved to England because you don't allow her work. You don't even give her money for food rather keep the food in your own bedroom. Tell people here how you use to seize her mobile phone not to get in touch with her family and friends back home and you did not allow her to keep friends in England. You've broken her phone on two occasions in your Plymouth abode and she kept hanging on to the marriage to make it work.

Kindly explain to this forum how you login into her social media account to chat with her male friends by trying to be her to see if she is dating anyone. You are the same person using her email address opened on your laptop to contact social workers that everything is fine when she reported you. Have you also forgotten all the threats you made to her if she ever end your career here and how you will end her life. You were only lucky to make a first report against her which were all concocted lies and she was giving a retraining order. You can go ahead and get all the restraining order you want in the UK but very soon you will roast.

She kept quiet all these while to save your career as a medical doctor but don't worry as the evidences against you are quite overwhelming. You can keep running for the little time you have but just kiss your career goodbye. This lady don too suffer and it will soon be payback time. Everything you were able to get away with in Nigeria has been unravelled. This is England you know and not naija

Once the visa needs renewal, just take your time to send her back to where she belongs.

This sounds like a good advice .i think the op can even go to Nigeria for sometime ,depending on the woman's residence permit .is she allowed to work,if she is not allowed to work, then she has no right to stay if the person who brought her is not living in the country .or if it's in Europe ,he shud not renew the permit for her if the permit ends because she is under his residency.but there is a way she can by pass him .

Even white men are getting smarter in Europe .You will a white man living with a lady ,they are not married but with one or more kids together .when they are tired of the relationship, everybody go their separate ways .this is done to avoid legal matter in divorce .this trend is comon in Europe ,single mothers .Things are changing and people are no longer seeing the need for marriage again .alot of our women come to Europe and want to live like Europeans .some are so lazy and don't like to work and expect the man to labour his life out.the funniest thing is they claim equaluty at home and even tell you that the man is not the head of the home .when it comes to paying bills ,they don't claim equality.Sorry to all the women especially the good one who don't display such attitude .I must say the case is also vice versa,I have seen some useless men also in Europe who maltreat their wife .Generally life abroad is different from naija and the game is different and you play it differently .all marriage are destined to break abroad but it takes a watchful couple and patience to keep your marriage .children are destined to be spoilt abroad except a watchful eyes and prayers

I agree with u,first of all,we need to know the country where the issues happens .it depends on the immigration law there.if it's Europe ,I think d woman does not know that she is under the man in terms of residency right. She is only allowed into the country because of the marriage and d ability of the man to provide for her.so she may be deported on some conditions if the marriage does not exist again.i am not so sure about this ,but I think it is so .secondly ,the woman does not know that coming to Europe does not give you automatic right to stay and people work to stay and survive .I know alot of woman are I'll adviced to take fast route by marrying a citizen or somebody with a permanent stay .I have seen women being exploited by men because they need papers to stay, some women even end up claiming asylum .on the long run,it's the woman that wil lose because life in Europe is not as easy as people think.in addition ,if children are involved ,it becomes extremely difficult for women to live as single parent depending on the age of the children. Most women want to live an independent life in Europe . to balance my advice ,some men are also guilty of some vices ,if d man is a Womanizer ,the woman may be tempted to pay back in return.so the man must check is own side too and make amends .Also I think ,if there is a divorce ,the man will not lose his right to stay or have permanent residence and cannot be deported because he is working and has worked for some years contributing to the pension scheme .also I think when a divorcr process is initiated, one year of re consideration is given to the couple to decide if they really want a divorce.i think the couple shud use this period to assess and see if they can make the marriage work .Generally I think women are short sighted and don't think about the future, the woman is ill-advised and has not sat down to know what she will lose .I don't know how long she has stayed since she came ,I think she risk being deported if the maraige fails .pls consult a lawyer, this are my own view

I understand you brov, however if you don't mind, which country happens to be the location of this predicament?

Because the solution to all this, is as easy as pie if you happen to reside in Europe, especially if they "your wife" are on dependent visas/residency status... You don't even need to send her to Nigeria for her to feel that cold bite of reality.

Then u can't even rent a house ,u become a slave to somebody who has document ,u work your life out and hope you find a white guy or woman to marry .then u marry finish,u become a slave to the white ,then end of divorcing .is this life ? And the people in Nigeria envy you for being a slave who has money.i met a Nigerian who is homeless on the street of Europe .he sleeps in night bus and always running from police to avoid deportation. Some end of getting the permit to stay but at the end dying due to some illness they contacted during the period of struggles .I am not saying some are not lucky but I don't think it's worth the risk.the scars will remain permanent . having peace of mind is what is most important .it's funny Nigerians count building houses as achievement, but in Europe ,alots of rich people don't even have as much houses as Nigerians have .They don't have numerous cars like our politicians have in their garage.i think this mentality is what causes stealing and corruption in Africa

I will try to explain a little from what is happening at my end.major offices have short down close to a month now, some have lost job and some can't even afford to pay monthly rent.its not easy in any part of the world.its the normal thing government of Nigeria did by initially asking people to sit down at home for 2 weeks .this was the first step taken all over the world .the only problem is that the government didn't put enough measures in place to help the poor.it is wrong for Nigerians to compare Nigeria and America or any country in Europe with Nigeria .these are all countries with organized structures where all citizens are on the database and government know what they do for living and how much they earn.when the government knows how much you earn, they can determine and seperate bw the rich and the poor.there are lots of people who are very rich in Nigeria and don't even pay taxes, even this one's will claim poor because the government has no record of their earnings through tax system .this is a general African problem and not only Nigeria.the problem at hand is not only a government problem but a problem for everybody to solve .the rich shud help the poor in their neighbourhood, pastor and imam shud help their members in supplying food and other necessary things .sitiing down and blaming government will not solve the problem.this is an unexpected problem and was not planned in this year's budget .even several countries had to pass a supplementary budget to aid people this time.we can only hope Nigeria govt do their best ,it may not be easy due to population.i wish to state that not all companies are opened here for over a month and only important ones are opened ,but the government are doing their best to help people financially .this is only possible because government have records of what everybody is doing before the case and the government only help affected people and not people whose company wil still pay them at end of the month.people are told to sit at home,u can go out to buy things in supermarket ,u have to keep a distance of 2 meters between the next person .u keep a distance of 2 meters even in public buses .all forms of gathering are banned,no church ,mosque, gyms etc schools closed down.banks only open for few hours and only important offices are allowed to open .I think the government shud not bann those who sell food but just tell them to ensure safe practice to prevent spread .the police shud be on ground to check that people adhere to rule

China has lost a lot.within a month.all items coming from China has been canceled .nothing is allowed to come in from China again .I booked an item on Amazon.it was coming from china,it's not allowed in by custom and my money returned . indirectly, the fall of China may affect the world ,Europe also depends on them for some supplies.almost everything is assembled in china ,made in china and assembled in Europe lol.i don't really know if it's a biological weapon against them but God knows that

Biological weapon is really deadly....!
I was shocked when I saw €31 on phone and TV monthly
.
Some of the things he wrote are true and some are no more true .cost of living increases yearly.transport cost increases yearly.the block account is no more 8k.you may have to pay radio and TV taxes in some places .as much as 17 euros monthly, when you combine cost of recharge card of 15 euros for some network and cheapest of 5 euros for some network.he is partially correct.language is key, even to get some dirty jobs, you require language ,imagine you need to work as a cleaner in an office and then they don't want to speak English .you can't get the job, unless some very good company who permit English speakers. Most Germans can speak English but pretend they can't and on the average ,they hate speaking English .partially because ,they feel they are not so good in it .as a student, you can't work the whole year legally ,don't most Nigerians go against the rule.you can be fined heavily or risk deportation.jobs are not available in all states in germany, some places don't have jobs and if you find yourself there ,u will be miserable.some level of racism also exist .on the average ,I don't discourage people but know what you want before coming .tschuss

It
Nigerian roads are not designed for bicycles.it is a big risk riding bicycles on a busy road with lawless and reckless motorist and bikers .our road shud have bicycle path if this idea is to be appreciated .anyway ,it may be ok on a less busy road .

will be too dangerous for a kid her age to ride on the Lagos crazy road.she would have to contend with the rough Danfor drivers and other motorist that drive with recklessly abandon on our road. She can learn cycling around her neighborhood for ow but not fit to cycle independently on the busy crazy Lagos main roads.
BusinessRe: $4800 Sent To Me By My Brother Has Been Hijacked By Nigeria Customs by ekerintee: 5:16am On Jan 30, 2020
Every money that goes out of Europe is being monitored ,even any money you recieved.if there is any suspicion ,you will be invited by the police.i wonder how it is so easy for people to move so much money from Nigeria and Africa without being detected.in the first place, the person who sent the money didnt go thru the right channel ,evaded tax from the money,so it is even an offence for the person.in some cases,he will be investigated to know the source of the money.Even money sent thru western union is monitored ,that money is not a small money abroad .so the custom has a right to sieze and investigate it .it's either you lose it or you pay tax or some corrupt government official share it with you
EducationRe: Can A Person Lose His Sanity Due To Excess Reading? by ekerintee: 10:05am On Jan 29, 2020
I have been privilege to study in Nigeria and also abroad and I can come to conclusion that studying in Nigeria is one of the hardest exercise in the world.i don't think people read as strainous as we do in Nigeria .you see somebody sit down from morning to night reading ,no exercise ,nothing but reading .it's not suppose to be so,sometimes it has sad effect .even abroad, they advise you take a break after some hours of reading and it's not advised to read for a long time at a stretch without break.we read so much in Nigeria and most annoying is that what we read are not relevant and applicable to the nigerian environment.A Nigeria student read to pass ,a Nigeria student is under duress to pass and sees failure as a shame .failing an exam abroad does not mean you are failure and not really a big deal .it's in Nigeria you see somebody writing an exam 5 times in 5 years and also joined to it ,the person is been frustrated by lecturers ,environment.the society sees him or her as a failure .
Personally ,I believe that excessive reading can strain the brain cells ,the brain is like a machine and even machine after prolong use is advised to be shot down.i have seen professors of mathematics behave like mad men ,itsbecause they are not aware of what is going on around them, somebody can be on the road and not be aware of people or things around him, this I because he is thinking of some things he read.sometimes I have passed my bus stop because I was thinking of something's and could not even see or know.i believe that everyone will agree with me that if this becomes a lifestyle ,this is the beginning of madness .when you see somebody talking to himself ,it's is the begining of madness .over exciting the brain through reading ,drugs can also lead to madness.i also have a good friend in Nigeria ,he failed some exams ,he had an extra year at school and one day I saw him mad on the street of Lagos .the funniest thing was he recognized me and even called my name ,so madness could be partial.people may not really be totally mad but in a different world we don't really understand .so my advice is for us to read and have intervals to rest, social life .a balanced life, the funniest thing is that white people don't read the way nigerians read, ask people who schooled abroad .

I quite agree with you, thinking too much might be a factor not reading...Thanks
