Of what relevance are the British regarding Christianity? Next, if hypothetically the British stopped playing soccer, perhaps you'll claim that Nigerians should also show less interest in the sport too. |
FreeGlobe: you seem to dwell too much on this your people's hatread for igbos even Achebe has told you clearly its a because of envy and jealousy. We dont care if you hate us, it doesnt stop us from breaking feats or taking over Lagos for instance. We have seen people die of bitterness while the bittered contunue to flourishI don't care if Nigerians hate Igbo or not. It doesn't affect my daily life in any way. I am just explaining why they do. If you also don't care and are comfortable with it, then that is fine. |
Man this broadcaster chick (Melissa Knowles) is bad. got damn. |
KENESAGA: @EKT_BEAR THERE'S NOTHING LIKE SUPERIORITY COMPLEX HERE, U AR D ONE FEELING INFERIOR, HE JUST SAID D TRUTH ABOUT IGBOS. SO IF I SAY THAT YEROBAS HAS THE HIGHEST NO. OF PROF WILL IT IMPLY THAT THEY AR SUPERIO.U & UR KIND SHUOLD STOP OVER BLOWIN ISSUESMy point is simple. But since you are unable to understand it, let me repeat it in a slightly different manner. There are two separate issues here: a) The hypothesis that Igbos truly are superior to every other group in Nigeria. b) Igbos acting as if (a) is true. You keep focusing on (a). But my point is that (b) is what has caused everyone to hate you. And arguably, that they are justified in hating you. |
This artist is damn good. |
In conclusion, it seems that the hatred Nigerians have for Igbo is well-justified, if Chinua Achebe is a typical example. Kind of....interesting. |
The issue many will have is not whether the statement is true or not. Heck, perhaps it even is. But...in my own personal life, I have learned that excessive arrogance is dangerous. Despite the fact that I think myself superior to 99% of humanity, I certainly have learned (the hard way) not to openly show this. Now, imagine if I not only openly displayed and belittled all those around me, but also transferred my personal success to say my ethnic group. It would make no sense to complain of the hatred of others. This is just a basic aspect of learning to live with other human beings. If you are arrogant, people will work hard to take you down and even destroy you. |

Relax. Nothing harmful meant..the way you wrote sounded familiar to me, but it took me a while to put 2 and 2 together ![]() |
Interesting. So if a relatively refined person like Chinua Achebe can openly display this superiority complex, what of less refined individuals? And if this attitude is common within the ethnic group, I guess it is easy to see why they are hated in Nigeria and elsewhere. |
This link discussed a paper published in Nature (basically one of the top scientific journals in the world). So it isn't your typical conspiracy theorist thing. But I guess those of you who'd bothered to click the link would have realized that |
has nothing to do with politics but some things are more important than your typical NL political discussion...this i think is one of them |

Callotti: What school did you all attend again?1. Is the man one of these minority Indians who come from Arab descent? 2. Does he *look* Arab? 3. In the unlikely event that this man has any known Arab ancestry, what makes you think it is a substantial part of his DNA? It would be like me calling you (a Nigerian) also Arab, because your great, great, great grandpa from eons ago was Arab..... |
logica: At least he has enough $$s now to import a vintage, all-options Indian chick direct from Mumbai.trueeee that ![]() |
My suggestion to the man is to get a DNA test. The pikin might not actually be his... |
Nayah: I really don't know where do you get your information from my dear, many of my cousins are from South West (anglophone) part , don't really experience this point. Again our Prime minister and many others come from the same Cameroonians ( dont like talking about French are English part) they are Cameroonians, in our country we don't have this habit of talking about separatism.I'm just messing with you, don't take what I say too seriously ![]() |
freecocoa: My own concern is why the tax equals almost half of the money? That is life in yankee. The taxes he pays will go to maintain roads, schools, etc. |
errr Is this real life |
Callotti: Na even ARAB sef. . . .No. His name is Sandeep Singh...so a Hindu or a Sikh. Wetin concern Hindu with Arab or Taliban ![]() |
Anyway, from this snippet, it probably isn't far off the mark to say that Abubakar has blood on his hands. |
Nickydrake: Both were made available to him, but there is nothing in Mr. Annan's narrative to suggest that he read either.Very well said. Solitary confinement can lead to boredom which can lead to insanity...reading any sort of book would be helpful. |
Abiola won Tofa(Northerner) in Tofa's state. How about that? You know, there are two sides to a coin. #Youarewelcometotheclubofdivideandconquer, butyouneedtolearntobesubtle#
lol well played |
tyson55: My parents are from both Igbo and Yoruba extract, and i've always stood for the cause of the "Ndi Igbo" both on Nl and wherever i found myself. This may be true. But most african cultures are paternalistic, to my knowledge. So unless your father is Igbo, then it seems to me that you must pick one side only ![]() However, just my opinion...you are of course free to identify with both sides or your eastern family, if you like. |
dridowu: So hapi because its combo of PDP and ACN , so politics apartIndeed. It isn't a party issue. More state interest vs. federal say |
albacete: Often people are very sure of things that they are in fact quite wrong about. I suppose that you are just the latest example of this. |
yes i "get time"..so what?
ok, so I was wondering whose new id this was. Now I know |
The states in question should have highest priority to buy the discos, imo. I dunno how Benin Disco was sold off to someone that the states being serviced don't even approve of |
tyson55: Igbo kwenu! Igbo kwezenu!!Wait a sec...i thought you are from the western side of southern nigeria |
jamp: Yes naaa.well said |
Women, ladies. If you are unhappy because you have a small booty, there is a very simple, safe, easy way to fix it. a) Squat rack and b) dead lifts! Go visit a gym and build a sexy behind that way rather than dodgy injections/surgery. |
