Music/Radio › Re: The King Is Back (eedris Abdulkareem) by eldee(m): 8:46am On May 09, 2008
abdurrazaq:
Eedris is definitely the king. Some artist would have ignore saying the "dangerous" truth in the lyrics above, considering the fact that he is just coming back to reclaim the top spot he truly belongs.

The truth is dangerous while people embrase lies wholeheartedly. Jagajaga was, at some time, criticised despite the fact that the song is the truth in its simplest form.
My days, you guys never cease to amaze me. . .
Let me explain to you, diss the government card is just a publicity stunt by a 'has been' musician who's taking advantage of Obasanjo's comments
Aight, what dangerous truth has he said that no one has said before?
Or did you by any chance miss 'For Instance-Tuface', 'Crisis by African China', or any of Sound Sultan's songs? huh
This is the Music Section not Politics, we care more bout how he presents a message as much as the message itself.
If you're good at what you do, no matter the lyrics, Nigerians will feel you.
Eedris is crap at rap, SIMPLE!!! There's no argument about that.

Let me give you a simple assignment, look at that track you posted, and tell me who's verse was harder.
My dayz, even Ruggedman dissed him on that song.
Infact name one rapper in Nigeria that Eedris is better than.
I have no beef with him singing whatever kind of music he likes, but he needs to stay off hiphop. tongue
And believe me, I have a right to tell him, why? Like Rugged said, I'm a consumer, I want a proof of my spending, even listening cheesy.
With Eedris, hiphop has never sounded this bad.

PS. For those, dumbasses mentioning Edris in the same breath with Modenine, ask Channel O, why they gave him 3 awards.
Music/Radio › Re: Welcome To Africa By Eedris Abdulkareem Ft 50cent by eldee(m): 11:32pm On May 08, 2008
unix4real1:
If u listen to the track 5 million times, you will never understand a word and do u know the reason? he is not among your favourite artist but instead of you to say that fact, you will be saying negative things about him. i`m not a sauce kid or neato c fan but i will never say negative things about them because i don`t have interest in their music and that`s the way i think normal and reasonable people should be thinking.

You happens to be the only one to say you don`t understand a word in that music so think you should upgrade your brain grin
This is he exact part of this whole thingy that makes me laugh grin grin
Are u just naturally braindead or is it a requirement that you guys must have an IQ of -8 to be an Eedris fans? huh
Although there seems to be one factor that cuts through these stupid irritants, you all never stop to think before posting. . . undecided
Negative things bout Eedris? nah, that ain't changing the price of chicken in Oshodi

Let me explain this to you in a way even you will understand; i don't give an eff bout what Eedris does, but, that song is bullcrap
I don't even know why I'm still arguing with retards like you, it's easy, if raps not ur game, stick to fuji or whatever u good at.
Just don't go about disgracing my country's name on international television and youtube grin

Now u're Einstein because you can decode 'I like the way you tackle when the ball is on its way'
I get it, Eedris is nothing but the Ignorant man's Nas, at least he brought hiphop to your level init

No wonder a fellow musician dissed him on his own track grin
Foreign Affairs › Re: New Mayor of London Boris Johnson is Racist? by eldee(op): 7:32pm On May 08, 2008
tboy1:
@ eldee

do u know he appointed a black man as deputy mayor?
Err, Ray Lewis? My lawd, have you not heard of publicity stunt?
He's still there trying his best to tell everyone that he wasn't trying to be racist and you expected him to put up an all-white deputy line-up?
Have you not learnt from Prince William's case already? Or you think the visit just coincided with the week after he misused the RAF helicopter?

Dis Guy:
so how many of you went to the polling station?

The thing will Ken Livingstone was that he too comfortable with the job he shot everyone down with his overwhelming PR crew- except that guy from evening standard-Andrew
And he was also playing the ethnic minority card too much he did a lot for them but at the same time they are still a minority in London and half of them don't even vote!!

I think if there was a different labour candidate he would probably have won he's been there Eight years!!
having a person like Gordon brown as the leader of labour party doesn't help either

If the conservatives don't curb Boris Johnson's buffoonery they wont win anything in a major election, so i think labour can count on Boris to F up big time! who wants the tinny routemaster when there's free bendy bus
Even Cameron knows Boris will eff up, that's for sure. . .
It's just to make sure his beliefs don't affect his policies, that's what I'm standing for

Uche2nna:
I bet You that Fiddy did not even know what the song was all about. Of course, he would move. He was standing right there on stage with him!!!! You want him to be standing still like a stick while Eedris was jumping all over the stage as if he smoked kryptonite. That would be disrespectful naaa cheesy
I taya ooh, when they came to put him on the stage when the rest of the world was watching from the comfort of their chairs grin
I'm nigerian, but, swear down, I didn't understand one word of what he spoke. . .although maybe it's the fact that I was watching on youtube.

u just had a problem with the name,,, gotcha!
so what was all the aggression abouthuh[/quote]lol, As I said before, this is a package from hotfunmi
You've got to be careful with some nairaland chicks
They've got a way of turning small matters like this into frontpage headlines

The first thing I saw on the thread was metrosexual dudes being potrayed as the tight shirt, Michael Jackson trouser wearing, eyeliner clutching gays you see everywhere. . .
That's why I went with a 'dangerously attractive' at least some will know what metrosexual really means.

If you do not like this music (that made 50 Cent move) then, why don't you with your Do me I do you guys. Don't you are in no position to tell Eedris the style of music he should play.
If only your english was reasonable enough, I'll have even been tempted to believe you're making sense.
If I don't like the music that made Fiddy' movehuh Hmmn the average african man with the inferiority complex undecided
That most be the second-most pathetic comment I've heard all year. . .
Mayne, all these Eedris fans self, want won't I hear from you guys huh
First sumone opened a thread saying 'The King Is Back' and all I see in there is Eedris
Now this one is telling me I have to love the music because Fiddy' moved to it?
Maynne, I'm out of this joint

Or the delicate skin tone, I'm ready to die for?
Or is it when I place money for blazers immediately after the bills?

As everyone knows, Hotfunmi has made a career or mudslinging naija guys
My point is that instead of using the word 'metrosexual', I'll prefer 'ubersexual' or as I sugeested earlier dangerously attractive cool cool cool
At least we'll know this is not another hotfunmi jihad on naija guys cheesy
