His total commitment (cos most men are about half committed to their marriage) |
NeroPapas:Go to the home page, select any of the discussion groups (under which your topic falls), you'll find NEW topic tab on the top right corner. |
sammyzacks:true, but hard in reality because of the human nature |
Commitment wise, women are more valuable than men. ![]() IFELEKE:Lol |
That's right! Let's not be dogma when issues of religion is mentioned in any discussion. What's wrong doesn't have any other name, it's wrong. If the churches and other buildings are illegally built, then they should all be demolished. Religion should not make us dumb, we all have a brain and conscience, let's utilise them. Until we start doing that, I'm sorry we won't be able to make the progress that we desire as a nation. |
@ Toryinrayo We have to get him someway. . . .if not for corruption, then for spraying notes. Hope they finally lock the gorilla in the zoo. I no fit laugh o my dear. The adjective fits perfectly. Seconded! ![]() |
What does the rite involve? If it is just a case of parents of the girl knowing the parents of the guy and he accepting responsibility of taking care of the girl (though now dead but she has left some offsprings- two for that matter), then it's not such a big deal. This will enable the girl's parent to be able to trace the grandchildren and inlaws from time to time. The death of their child is an unfortunate happening but then it could have still happened assuming they were married before she had those children. If it involves rituals beyond presenting gifts and paying some money to the girl's parents, then i object vehemently to it. |
@poster Why did u marry her in the first place? Do you love her? I hope you did not marry her for sake of stay papers? If you truly loved her and didn't marry her for selfish reasons, then you should all you gotta do is help her become the 'perfect' lady you desire. Go out with hermore often, watch porn together and let her know what your expectations are. She will also tell you one or two things she wants. Discuss having kids together and generally plan your life together. It's not as easy as it sounds though but with time, your love for each other will grow stronger. Pls divorce is not the best solution to marital problems. |
Men will be , sha |
O ga o Spikedcylinder and amebo have taken it all personal. What kind of advice are you relaying to the poster? I think you need to come bak on track cos you have both gone OFF. @poster hope you have gotten good contributions so far? Pick the ones that are practicable and start addressing them immediately. Get your wife something to do too (an idle mind is the devil's workshop they say). Let her also share some repsonsibilities. |
Soon, they will come up with similar acronyms like SALAD INSTANTA, mortgage plans, soft loans!!! And the same NL who have yabbed and wondered what Savannah is gonna do will go dashing for their own bit. Trust NAIJA ![]() |
it's a faith walk , hallelujah, the word is working, ![]() |
lexdino:Iyen tun ko? This country is full of shit!! I remember the maximum you can withdraw used to be 40000, why was it increased to 100, 000 considering the kind of nation that we are in? This has increased the risk geometrically in a case like the poster's? And I bet, he might not be able to get his money back. How many more people have fallen victim of ATM fraud who are not internet users and who won't know how to go about the loss? Argghhh ![]() |
This is to all of us who are holding on to 9 - 5 jobs and are thinking ''well, my own job is secured''. This is the REALITY of the so-called job security. Let him that thinks he stands check well lest he fall. We all know we need to do something else apart from our regular job, but how many people actually do? The oil and gas sector is getting the heat more in Nigeria. Let's begin to create something and also save for the rainy day. @poster Now is the time to show the stuff you are made of. Go, search out your creative abilities and begin to exercise your freedom (financial). It's well Yemi. |
pureminded:Pureminded, that dialogue about madam and Ben got me laughing so hard my colleagues wondered what it was about. You must b some comedian! ![]() |
I am a married woman, I don't have a driver now( i drive myself). So to imagine a situation where I have a driver and have him as a , what? well, it's not possible for me. What will I b looking for that I don't possibly have already? Going back to when I was single, the scenario might not be exactly the same as now. I earn well and can afford a driver; do I have a fiance or am I old and feeling like it too? Even if that is the case, I don't think i can date my driver not because he is not a man but because I won't even have considered him in that light. For the many ladies who say they could possibly do it, pray do tell how many such cases have we heard of a single woman marrying her driver? There is nothing done in secret y'know. Sooner or later everybody will get to hear it. ![]() |

allycat:Here's someone stating 'his' own fact. If all the claims of your pastor and programs are true, we should get people stating 'their' facts with references that could be checked. But alas, no such evidences, as such you have no testimony hubreality. When Jesus healed the man that was blind from birth, he was taken into the synagogoue and QUESTIONED (check evidence). His parents and neighbours and friends were all witnesses to the fact. God is not a MAN that he would LIE dear bro!! |
''Since 1960'' is not correct. Maybe it should read ''after 2002'' |
Nigerian women are taking their place in all facet of the economy!!! This is motivating!! Go Naija babes! Let's show our men how to do it. ![]() |
This must be some kind of a prank. ![]() |
First question: What does your wife do? Or she just pokenoses into your biz? Second question: What does the marriage mean to you? I think your wife needs a job or biz of her own so that she will give you the chance to concentrate on yours. That way, you guys will be able to meet the family needs and also increase in individual value. My bro, whoever marries is supposed to obtain favour from the one who instituted it. So, your wife is not your enemy (except u marry witch) but rather one who is to help you remain focussed and grow your unit of the nation. Just my take! |
ko so ro nbe! So what if he can cook better? |
Great REVOLUTION!!!! Beta believe it bro |
FBS: ![]() saintade01:You don't seem to get d point Saintade. If the disease is left untreated for a long time then it might cause more damage than if detected/treated early enough. As per the life term contract dear, use your head. Women are not slaves, i repeat women are not slaves. Your life as a woman should not end simply becos you got married like the case that was put up earlier about the husband giving the wife HIV and not wanting her to even find out. We should go for tests at least once in year (doctors' recommendation) in order to detect ailment and diseases early. |
PurestBoy: ![]() Purest boy, talk true dat one na excuse. Even if Nepa no do as dem be and the pump no get fault, you will still not 'wash'. Oloorun, obun rai rai (wringling nose); ![]() |
otele:My sentiments exactly too. There is this woman that is like 15years older than me around my area (we actually go to the same church). Her first child has finished secondary school and is hoping to gain admission into the university. She respescts me so much she tells me enle ma, epele ma, ese ma, odabo ma, anything ma. It gives me the creeps cos I know it's all sycophancy. I pointed this out to a friend and the person said I shouldn't try to mention it to her that she is just respecting me (for what?) I should show her respect (which I do) because she is older but not even with the ma, ma every darn statement I make. I hope to tell her to address me just like her junior one. Honestly, I don't dig this yeye patronising at all. And like otele has mentioned, it goes beyond the neighbourhood greetings into politics, church and it's just not positive. |
I hate the HYPOCRISY in Nigerian culture. We pretend to be what we aren't all in the name of culture. I hate the calling of a senior one broda and aunty. Respect is mostly in action not in words. Most of our so-called culture has kept us in the dark age when other nations of the world are moving on to heights unimaginable. |
FBS:This is another TYPICAL NAIJA MAN's statement. ![]() |
