If all the windows in your flat are not on that side, then you can find a solution to it for yourself. What I will suggest is during the day/early morning when she cooks, permanently lock those set of windows and only open them at night.
You can then plan your leaving that house if you can't manage it this way indefinitely. These people buy firewood and it's not cheap either. Switching to gas would not affect her profits. |

My brain tells me that if the fuel is being imported and Naira has lost a lot of value to the dollar (1$ to #1000+), and fuel is being sold at #620-700 per liter. How's that possible without subsidy. Subsidy has been returned since August. |

DrAda: Oh well, lets agree to disagree. I tend to dish out compliments whenever I need a favour. It works like a charm. I understand clearly how it works and I refuse to be swayed by it as a team lead particularly if it is wielded by an incompetent staff. If you did it that way consistently, sure someone could see through the ruse in no time. My idea of giving compliments is to make people feel important in themselves, not because I need something immediately, but because I value an environment that exudes positive energy. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Pls I Need Ur Orientation On How To Manage A Female Boss At Work by emmyN(m): 11:03pm On Nov 24, 2023 |
DrAda: On the contrary they don't. People tend to embellish on compliments only when they need something from you. I don't mind anyone doing that but I tend to distrust your motives especially when it is out of character.
The best way to curry my favour is to do your job well. That alone is hard enough to do now considering the general lack of morals and discipline in this present generation.
Trying your utmost best to do your job diligently is all the compliment that i need because it saves me time and stress which Interestingly can aid to improve my overall health and avert the onset of premature wrinkles.
In a nutshell, ditch the compliments. It is off putting I'm sure a lot of other folks who have had issues with female bosses did do their jobs correctly, no? Giving genuine compliments works everytime. It weakens defenses. You know it, that's why you have your walls up against them. |

PewpewS32: Nobody will be living outside in a tent when temperatures dip below zero. Let's get that straight right now. If you think Canada is going to leave people in those temperatures in a tent, you are gravely mistaken. After reading the news here on the story (as I'd not heard about it until seeing it here), there has been a massive number of people seeking Asylum all at once. A large number from African countries (Nigeria being the biggest number). Temperatures here currently have not gone below zero yet. The moment we do I can guarantee there won't be anyone in a tent. If Canada let's that happen I'll be the FIRST to admit that the government here (in Canada) is not doing what they are supposed to, but I assure you, this really shouldn't happen.
Pew - Windsor, ON, Canada Please ignore. These are APC paid bots placed here to discourage people from "japa" after their government have succeeded in destroying the country. |

Keepamsafe: For two weeks now, my next door neighbor who is a young single lady has been constantly bringing different meals for me after cooking. Please note: I have never asked her for food before, as I cook at home and enjoy doing my things myself.
The second time she brought me a meal she wore a skimpy dress. I didn’t mind tho, I just told her she is a very good cook and I enjoyed the first meal. Since then, she’s been bringing different dishes to me now. Sometimes she even calls to know if im back from work that she’s cooking something.
Also note, I have never given her any money for this meals she’s been giving me.
My question now is, should I continue eating? do I have anything to be scared of? Could there be another motives behind this her kindness? Or maybe im over thinking?
Advise please.
