dayokanu:
Funny how you refer to them as British teams when, a pathetic 7 english players started for FOUR "english" teams in the past two days of CL action
Jeez Dayo, you must be a retarded DOLT!!!!!!
If seven English players started in all the UCL featuring English teams
then thats a success. Because as it stand, they are dominating proceedings
If they are to employ UEFA's proposed rule, then they are good to go.

How many german players featured for BM against Sporting?

I tip foreign United to win by miles
But the britsih United midfield is PEACH!!!

It was a great fanfare!!!

back to ball issues
I am getting really worried over tomorrow.
As much as i look forward to this game, i am getting scared the worst might happen
Incomplete back four!!! The last we tried that at the Estadio Guishekppe Meazza, AC tore us apart!
And now Inter!!! Well lets hope for the best. And where is Wesley when u need him most?
I thought he had bade injuries bye bye undecided undecided
Anyway lets pray for the best we can get. I also don't know what formation we will put up to give the back four a great cover.

Carrick - Giggs? Carrick - Fletcher? Carrick - Scholes? Giggs - Fletcher?
Does Anderson have any place in this team?
I guess he will bring in more grit or is he too injured?

Guys, AM SCARED STIFF!!!!!!!!!!!

Jokes Etc › A New Europe by Emperoh(op): 1:13pm On Feb 20, 2009
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be
the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement
and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as 'Euro-English'.

In the first year, 's' will replace the soft 'c'. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard 'c' will be dropped in favour of 'k'. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replaced with 'f'. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent 'e' in t he languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w' with 'v'.

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary 'o' kan be dropd from vords kontaining 'ou' and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter20ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

GETTING TO KNOW, REECE BROWN

Following in the footsteps of a famous sibling can be a tough task, but Reece Brown says having Wes as his older brother can only be a positive thing,

Born: Manchester
Age: 17
Position: Defender
Strengths: I’d say I’m good in the air, quick and strong. I’m quite similar to my brother, but he’s bigger and stronger than me at the moment, but I’m still growing!
Ways I can improve: I need to work on my concentration and my left foot is my weaker foot, so I try to work on that. I work on that with Scott Wootton after training, passing to each other, and to improve my concentration I keep telling myself in the game that I have to stay focused.
A player at United I admire: Rio and Wes. I look up to a lot of the league’s best defenders, like John Terry, Micah Richards and William Gallas.
I first got spotted: I was playing for Fletcher Moss when I was about six or seven. I could have gone to City as well, but there was only ever going to be one choice. I used to be a striker and I sometimes played up front with Danny Welbeck. In the Under-13s I was a forward with Nicky [Ajose] as well. Somebody got injured and I was put at the back and I’ve stayed there since. In training I sometimes get a chance to play up front again, but I prefer being at the back getting stuck in.
Life at United: I really enjoy it, and it’s great having my brother here as well, he always gives me advice. And I know quite a few of the first team lads already because of it. I’ve seen a few of them round at his house before, and now I’m in the Academy you’re always around them at Carrington. That makes me less nervous around them!
In five years time I’ll be: You have to be confident in your ability, so I’d hope to be in the United team and pushing for a place in the England squad. But I know there’s a lot to do before I can achieve that. I want to do well in the U18s and the Reserves, then in a year or so I’d hope to start training with the first team.
Best moment in football so far: The Milk Cup, that’s the first trophy I’ve ever won.
Worst/most embarrassing moment: I’ve not had any yet. I’d like to keep it that way.
Favourite other sports: I like golf, and basketball. All the lads play table tennis, but I’m not the best.
Music: Old school garage, bassline, reggae… I set the standard for musical taste in the squad, compared to Nicky [Ajose], he has bad taste in music!
Food: Schnitzel (Austrian dish of veal or pork in breadcrumbs).

Pls also learn how to break dem bones like your brother, Wes 'No Nonsense' Brown. grin

These EPL teams are just clueless. If Aalborg could score 2 why cant 13 or so EPL teams fail on the trot.

Just handing the title to Man utd despite United being in gear2-3 throughout.

Anytime Bayern loses ground others are ready to pounce but in the EPL, Man utd played like 7 extra games yet they are steamrolling others in England. Shame
Simple beacuse Bayern has been caressing mediocrity of recent.

Eastbay:
Guy ,
the united I saw August to Late november was different from the one i knew.
but there seems to be a new philosophy about the side based on defensive solidity. If you don't concede, you won't lose games.
Bros aside the 2006/07 season when we won the after some drought,
i can barely remember of late, any season we kicked off firing on all cylinders
I kinda knew it was a matter of time before things returned to normalcy
Even though i was uncomfortable then. So its all normal. You can never see a 100% United all season long
No way!!!!!!!!!
It's nice to know Eastbay can now say nice things about Man Utd.
The first few months were pissing him off. . . . . .Ronaldo shoulda been sold, we miss CQ, CQ is the reason United were successful last season, Berbatov is a waste of money, United will not win anything this season, We are not good enough and reh reh reh.
I told you then that United will get going no matter what. When SAF came out to say this squad is the best in his managerial career then you have to trust his judgement.
U don't wanna start another bout of argumentative essay here

Pls who knows where i can buy this wine?
I will need it as a present to Fergie, if he beats inter for me;

Ferguson is looking forward to facing Inter Milan in the Champions League but is wary of Jose Mourinho's team.
Whatever the result, he will share a bottle of red wine with his former Chelsea sparring partner.
'My favourite wine is called Pesquera, which comes from a lovely little Spanish wine-making region,' said Ferguson. 'It's a gorgeous red, which is very fruity; I recommend you try a bottle
.'

Never mind, we have already set and broken the European record
The same goal.com keeps contradicting itself.
It initially said the European record lies with Athletico Madrid only for them to make a volte face to Belgium
but whatever, here is another shot i do like us and Mancs to take a look at and analyse.
Will give my own idea asap.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2009/02/18/1115298/italy-v-england-pick-your-england-vs-italy-xi

More of making a comparaison of English and Italian first Eleven in club football.
Methinks the rear guard should have Vida. Sentiments apart. Chielini in me opinion cannot replace Vida
His quality is still below par. Aside Maicon, Inter has no other player in defence, to make this team.

Also, Lampard has NO place in this team. Someone occupying that place should be able to move his team.
Propel them and take hold of the midfield. How on earth did he get it ahead of Steven G or eve Stankovic?
Methinks Steven Gerard should go in his place.

What do y'all think?

Emperoh, Cristalz and Eastbay

cool if its based on this season's performance. then i can pick Giggs ahead of Riera and also carra ahead of Brown.
But wait o, Giggs has been superb this season playing from the middle so who plays on the left in our fantasy UTD/Pool 11?

ill go with Cristalz in picking Alonso ahead of Fletcher.

Emperoh
I really do not know who we are gonna play in the midfield but i think we need some strength in that area. Im gonna tip Fletcher to with Carrick/Giggs.
We need the passes to kill them off. You guys need to see how Fab4 nearly killed Viera with passes when he left Arsenal for Juventus.
Thats the kinda passes we need.

we are winning at the SIRO 2-1
Tk, frankly i really need to see where all these confidence are coming from
To be frank, am somewhat scared about this game as much as i wanna watch it.
So someone should tell me, what am i not seeing that you guys are?
He doesn't need a bashing to beat you, i pray we score first on both ties
It will make it easier for us. But if it turns out otherwise. . . . . . . i no want think the implications.
Sleek passing and movement yes, but thats unless they allow you play
Or play the sort of game they did with AC.

tkb417:
Cristalz
4-0 a tall order?
lets wait and see
On a good day, this isn't a tall order but not with the way Fulham are playing
Just that we are at OT and they lie way below us.
So lets just say 2-0
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Emperoh(m): 12:59pm On Feb 18, 2009
What the comparaison is based on is basically this season's performance
And like you said, Giggs is better off than Riera. We are not talking about Youth or age now

Again, Fletcher has been better this season than Javier and Alonso like Samuel said hasn't been in his elements
So all in all, let the midfield and attack go, but Defence, well maybe because Brown has been bugged by injury.
So as well its a fair mix-up.

At Inter,
Berba and Ibracadabra is a close call.
Adriano's power and Rooney's hunger? (i hope he doesn't score a hand of God against us)
Maicon versus Ronaldo.

Viera et Muntari vs Carrick and whomever fergie is gonna field here. How i wish Hargo was fit, this is his sort of game.
I will love seeing him with Pass Master in the middle and watch him break legs.
then,
Julio Cesar and Edwin VDS

Its a close call and a mouth watering clash. I am just somewhat wary of Jose "Chric Tucker" Mourinho's antics
I pray we come victorious sha.
