Just like they were sure that Christ means God almighty in luke 22:70?Good! My question now is; why the Jews don't want to hear Jesus calling Himself 'the Son of God'? Remember you said Angels also are sons of God. did he accept it? what did he rather say, I am God almighty or Son of God?He also accepted it when Peter confirmed Him as a Son of the living God. the analogy does not match. find a positive one. however, he never said I have no devil.Hmmmmmm John 8:48-49 "Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? 49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. He didn't deny Himself a samaritan but He quickly rejected being a devil. Even here He(Jesus) was even expecting them to honour Him the way they honour the Father. Jesus always answer the jews according to their question. no. neither was Jesus the literal word of God.Who is John 1:10 is talking about, Yeshua or Yehweh? Lol. JMAN05: when he said he and his father are one, he was not stating oneness in personality or equality.If only you can look at it this way then you'll grab the message. In each cases two different things were been emphasysing on 1) John 10 in this chapter...Jesus was challenged about His devinity 2) In John 17 Jesus was praying for His desciple. In 1) above when the Jews told HIM "you're a man but making thyself God" and before this time their first question was "...How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly." John 10:24. Jesus respond wakes these people raised the first stone to cast it on Him....He didn't deny it. Finally He said "....that the Father is in me, and I in Him" this reply makes it clear that Jesus didn't deny His first statement..."I and my Father are one"....then the jews sought to take Him but He escaped....If they misunderstand Jesus in His statement Jesus would've clearified Himself as a result of the first action by Jews. In 2) Jesus was doing what we can call heavenly fulfilled message in His prayer i.e that is the purpose of His birth, death, and resurrection. In the whole chapter you will notice these; we read when Jesus said "And now I am no more in the world..vr11....a similar one again ....while I was with them in the world....vr12" when He hasn't died.... Jesus said in john 8:23 "...ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world" He repeated this same statement in His prayer by saying "They(His desciples) are not of the world, even as I am not of the world"vr16....He finalized everything in this way "That they(His desciples) may be one,(why would they be one?); because as thou, Father, art in me(Jesus), and I(Jesus) in thee(Father), that the also may be one in US(both the Father and Jesus)vr21---Here Jesus was talking about His fulfilment of His death by reconcile us back to God. The onesess Jesus christ is talking about here isn't just in agreement alone but in His fulfilment of His death, how? He said "I(Jesus) in them(His desciples), and thou(Father) in me(Jesus)vr23....." If this chapter is not well attend to it may mean a literal word to you. this is being one in agreement and working for a purpose,Explain above just like Paul said that 'he that planted and he that watered are one'.Yes base on the way you view it. BERNIMOORE: Im not arguing against jesus pre-existence brother, i believed that he pre-exist before coming to the earth among to be among 'the spirit sons of God' as the first of them, the question you should now answer is that;Who was Jesus and His role when He was in heaven? Since you believe His pre-existence. are angels 'sons of God'?Not all Angels are the sons of God i.e the fallen one. We also became sons and daugthers of God through Him. They wanted to stone Him for saying "I and My Father are one". He asked them "why do you want to stone me?" they said "you're a MAN but making Thyself God" In Jesus' statement He didn't deny it. I can even say that if you ve seen my father, you have seen me cos we work for the same purpose and he has entrusted me with the privilege of representing him.There must be a clause in between. again, those jews are just laying unreasonable accusation of what Jesus didnt say.They are very sure about the question and reason to stone Jesus. Jesus asked them why they accused him of blasphemy when he said he was God's son NOT God almighty.Emphasis add Jesus didn't say God Almighty hmmm. FOLYKAZE: Nothing like backside here. It face to face according to Exodus. Here is itIt's advisable to read the whole chapter 33 then you will get the message. Not only Moses that was recorded in the Bible but if you understand that Chapter 33 then you'll get the rest including Moses 'face to face'. So Moses only saw the backside of God. You quote john 14:23 which state clearly that those that follow Jesus love him and keep his commandment.....the person will be love by God and see God.Yes which is true. Many of Jesus commandment and rule dont tally with Moses law and action but moses saw God face to faceHe(Jesus) is the who gave those rules beside we're not under the law again but under grace through Jesus' death. Have you ever gone to a church seeking God and instead got the famous words: "If you want to be born again, then repent, do good, then tithe"? Even if you do complete all these churchly "tasks," does it still leave a hollow place inside of you where you wanted God and were fed religion instead? Do you ever wonder if there is more to being a Christian than being good and giving money to the church? Well, here's some good news! 1 Consider that God gave us the Law to show us our need for a Savior: Paul tells us that the Law is good if it is used lawfully. It is just a mirror, not a to do list. Scripture says the Law is a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. It doesn't save us it just shows us we need saving. 2 Read Galatians, where Paul talks about faith being the only way to God: He completely dismisses the notion that following the old Jewish law is necessary for salvation. The law is summarized by Jesus as loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself. Faith in Jesus is the only way to be saved. Reading the Bible for yourself is a wonderful way to come to know God your father better. 3 Make time for God: God delights in being with you, and always has time to chat. Making time for just you and Him is important. 4 Accept that no one is perfect, or a "good Christian": No matter how much a person has tithed (i.e., paid "church taxes"  , this does not make the person better than another. God does not care about literal actions alone. What truly matters is motives in your heart and soul. Even if you donate a vast amount of money and time to a great Christian organization, if you do this with a mindset of glorifying yourself, God does not favor it. "To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice" (Proverbs 21:3, NIV).5 Don't abuse your belief as an excuse for sinning: Jesus' death doesn't mean it's alright to go out and sin. Jesus' death may have freed Christians from the heavy bonds of sin but it's not time to go out and collect some more for Jesus to wash away. It is time to live out your life of freedom before others. And to share your talents, skills and love with others. This way Jesus may draw all people to Himself through seeing what you have. Using your finite mind to try to grasp infinity is like asking a fish to swallow the oceans of the world. You're bound to find something you aren't 100% ready for. If you don't, you're not being honest with yourself in your search. 8 Be ready to look outside of one organized denomination: Religion and God are not the same thing. 9 Consider reading the holy books that are referred to as being or containing the word of God as pinned by prophets and apostles (followers) of God, for example the Holy Bible or Quran. Without FAITH it is impossible to please Him. Heb 11:6 Faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. onetrack: I fully acknowledge that I have no faith in any god.I didn't proclaim any god but God Almighty the maker of Heaven and Earth. Nobody can do without FAITH. Before you accept those scientific method you must put your faith on them. What then? I don't believe in mystical stuff,That's why God said "without FAITH noone can please Him" because once you accept that mysticism exists, where does it end? Witchcraft? Astrology? Faith healing?Then you're not ready to see God/expirence God's existence. Beside it depends how you put your FAITH into work because "FAITH without WORK(works of thy hand) is dead" So it looks like god has no alternative but to reveal itself to skeptics/atheists.Like scientist will never change their method for any reason so God can't change His way of Holiness because of Atheist/skeptics. Or as anybody will never change all the universal laws (except God) rather than to obey them. Though what you need is the physical manifestation of God which I've explained to you. If it does not then that is its own problem.Then stop asking for the evidence of God's existence because He has shown you they way you can access Him. Everything have its own protocol and method so also God. He said without FAITH nobody can please Him and Jesus said whosoever love Him and keep His words He(God) will come unto him, and make their abode with him. If you ask some ex-christians Atheist did you ever receive baptism of the Holyspirit during your christianity Llife---their answer will be NO! Though I can't blame them because even most pastors today there're not helping matter than to preach PROSPERITY rather than teaching the way of the Lord. No one says Jesus is the Son of God except being given by the Holyspirit. Holyspirit has been given to MAN but for those who are read to receive it. Now, if we go along such accusations without a prove, each of us will end up deceiving ourselves. what then do we do?Ok I agree with you. But not by limiting one of the attribute of God (omnipotent)/compare it with that of man. We then need to follow the apostolic method. how? by proving our point and logically showing the other person from the scriptures why his view is wrong. read acts 17:2; 18:28.Ok. Now any teaching with is not consistence with the WHOLE parts of the bible that has bearing on the subject under discussion is wrong.But Jesus as a Spoken-word of God is in the Bible. @Jman What I want to point out which I've seen in many people arguing about Trinity or mostly Jesus as God is this, when Man begins to think that God also has equal power, knowledge and will like a Man(human being) and using this concept to interpret the word of God there'll be a problem. God is a being who can manifest Himself the way He likes once you know this then you'll see the perspetive of Jesus as God. Shalom! |

Now see this statement: "However if by"presence" you mean being in a state ofawareness then in Islam there is a state called "Ihsan", which is where you are in constant remembrance of God. 'Constant remembrance' is different from when somebody invisible is with you and talking to you. Being in the presence of the Holyspirit means is like there's someone beside you/sometimes talk to you. Faith and physical nature inwhich many christians hold on to as a great evidence of God existence belittle God's promises itself because many places in the Bible shows that God can manifest Himself to us. If you've been serving God for more than 2 years and you havn't heard the audible voice of God/feel the presence of the Holyspirit in person as a christian then you need to check yourself. |

musKeeto: This should help you.The site you refer me to even support my claim. "They believe no one can hear from or see Allah" it's only one person who claim being in the presence of Allah at "Ihsan". Then if God can speak to people like Noah, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah e.t.c why we today can't hear from God/feel His presence around us as a person? This is the finishing work of the Holyspirit, He allows you to feel the presence of God as if somebody is with you, He can talk to you as if a friend is talking to you. Shalom! 1 Like |

Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled all the prophecies about the Messiah in the Jewish Bible (Old Testament). In the Holy Bible, John 14:9 states that Jesus said: "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father." So, "How should you accept Christ as your Savior"? 1 Understand God's Holy Nature: Many people do not understand the concept of the Holy Trinity, and some explain it the wrong way. Well, The Orthodox Church (the first established Christian church) (This is not to promote Orthodoxy, it is just to state the first Christians' belief about the Nature of God) says: "God is one while being in a Trinity". 2 Seek to understand God's plan: "So, I need to be saved from what, and why? Believing in God and The Bible is crucial to understanding "What is a savior?" and "Why be saved?" The Bible is God's revealed word to mankind, written by people so yielded to God's will that God chose them to write it. The people who wrote the books of the Bible were inspired (given the words) by God. They all agree in purpose and point to Christ, the Messiah, though they were written over a period of more than a thousand years: The Bible teaches that all people have sin in their lives. Sin is any act that displeases God, as sin separates us from God, who is perfect, such that the payment we are to pay for sin is spiritual death-- permanent separation from God. 3 Understand who could save you from spiritual death: Because we are all born sinful, we are unable by our own whimsical or very deep reason--or in our own strength and morality-to please a perfect God. However, God sent His son Jesus as your representative and as your ransom from being captive. John 3:16-17 (NIV): "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." 4 Admit that you have sinned: It is a prerequisite to accepting Christ. Once you understand that we are and you are a sinner and that all have sinned, turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness by repenting of your sins. 5 Profess Jesus as your savior: Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Say, "Father in Heaven, I believe that Jesus died for my sins." And God will impart eternal life to your spirit. 6 Understand that Jesus said to receive or accept Him we must receive whom He sent. (John13:20) That is the Holy Spirit (John15:26) 7 Remember to ask for the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit does not come automatically when a person believes but Jesus says everyone who asks receives (Luke11:9-13) 8 Tell God what you want to say to Him: John 9:31 "Now [in this] we know that God [listens] hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does His will [receives Christ], him He hears [answers]." Talking to God can be in many forms, whether in a prayer or in an ordinary way as in talking to others. Here's a prayer suggestion, "My God and my Savior, I know I have sinned before you, and I know about all the bad things I have in my life. But with you my God, I shall never fear even the worst things in life, because you have sent your only and true Son, Jesus, to be crucified, and to pay the price of my own sins. I come to you my God to confess everything I have done in my life, and to tell you I am sorry. I am here to declare you King on my life, my thoughts and my actions. I want you to be my Savior. Please God, forgive me, for I have sinned before you. My God and my LORD, reign over my life, because your reign is perfect and your kingdom will never see an end. Amen" Feel the presence of God in faith while kneeling. Kneeling is efficient, if you want to concentrate on nothing but your prayer. |
