These images are not really taken but artist depiction based on data gathered by the telescope. The difference in size aren't negligible. About the NASA orbiting satellite videos, I have seen tonne's of those and the reason the planets appear to be of the same size is due to the orbit of the satellite around the celestial body.

Now, you can see that three individuals are involve here before a nuclear weapons can be unleashed: the president, the congress, and the defence secretary.
At any rate, it is to make the process a little cumbersome for the safety sake of all.
