donpeluchi: It can be argued that boko haram is fighing for justice in view of their leader who was murdered by the nigerian police. But violence is never a good option to fight for justice. No way! It can not be argued. Yusuf's family has been compensated with 500million. How many christians were compensated with 100 naira? |
I will like to see how this case end. Imagine oyedepo lawyer's arguement is that the church cannot be sued and therefore is above jurisdiction. Time will tell if this is so. |
Most states in the North hardly get more than 5billion monthly from the federal government. Lagos gets about 7billion monthly, but Delta state gets about 15-20 billion monthly! And what can we show for it? Nothing! The international stadium in warri is flood prone and is still under construction since 2001. The Asaba airport is a sham, the duallization of Ughelli/Asaba road is a sham. Nothing is working. The man is building a war chest to fight EFCC with. |
The dumb cat carried out some road repairs during his daughter's marriage (the route to the marriage venue). What he did is akin to what we use to do in those day during school inspection. We clear the path where the principal would take, stuff dirt under lockers, drain out and clean up blocked and dirty toilets, borrow school uniforms to look neat, etc. That is what Uduaghan is doing. He is trying to impress with an airport, street light, and sham employments. Last year, we heard he signed a contract of about 3billion with Obasanjo farms for a poultry farm, but till this day, we've not seen any eggs. What is the gestation period of a chicken laying an egg? another conduit pipe is DESOPADEC |
I guess Uduaghan will win this title. In Delta state, everybody is a governor to himself. They do as they please. Uduaghan is just there to collect the revenue accruing to the state and allocate it as he sees fit while the populace provide for themselves. The man is so incompetent that markets are now been carried out on roads. These markets takes 2 lanes of the road while motorist use one. The refinery road (a 5 km road) that was awarded in 2007 has not gone beyond a km. The Udu harbour market, Udu road that was awarded in 2006 is now a white elephant project. Refuse are dumped on road sides, in short, development is zero in delta state. What baffles me most is that compared to Edo state, the revenue ratio is about 4:1 and Edo is working. |
in Nigeria, it's like a stigma for a woman to say she is a virgin at the age of 35 and a man to say he his a virgin at the age of 40. So who is fooling who? With the current economic situation where men roam about the street without jobs, how can they settle down? Also medically, it is unwise for a man to go without sex for too long a period as this can lead to prostrate cancer in later life. Should we then encourage masturbation? Ladies, shine your eyes. Sin is sin, be it fornication, lies, stealing, quick tongue etc. Use what you have to get what you want. You can always sort yourself out later. |
Sex before marriage can be good or bad. We should be truthful to ourselves. Sex is very important in marriage. What if after marriage one is not compatible with the other? If the man loves sex and the woman does not, and vice versa, What happens? |
My girl, dump his sorry azz like yesterday and look for a more mature man. your guy might be gay you know. |

ibori's case took more than 4 years to investigate by scotland yard. at the end of the day, he was sentenced to 13 years in a gulag. therefore, let us give our authorities the time to investigate. what we should be doing is to not allow the probe to be swept under the carpet |
The court had maintained that “the fact that Sylva paid N5.5million, presented himself to the Screening Committee of his party, and campaigned extensively for the fresh primary elections fixed by his party for November 19, 2011, to choose its candidate to stand for governor of Bayelsa in elections fixed for February 12, 2012, indicated that he had abandoned the results of the primaries he won in January 2011.” Also the court ruled that “the primaries that the 1st respondent (Sylva) won in 2011, fades into insignificance since the elections for which the said primaries was conducted, were cancelled.” More importantly, the court ruled that “Courts in Nigeria do not have jurisdiction to question the nomination and sponsorship of a candidate for election”. Although Sylva described the ruling as “no justice,” alleging that it portrays a dark moment for the nation’s democracy, many observers have maintained that the pronouncement will both reduce election petitions in the country and help sanitise the polity. However, others insisted that the ruling has created fresh confusion when considered alongside the ruling of the same apex court in the case of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State. Obviously anticipating such responses, the learned justices did not fail to comment on the matter while delivering judgment on Sylva’s petition. Amaechi’s case The apex court, while delivering the judgment, explained that the case of Sylva was distinct from the decided case-law in Amaechi v. INEC, pointing out that whereas Governor Rotimi Ameachi contested the primaries and won, but was barred from contesting the general elections, his party, the PDP was unable to give cogent and verifiable reasons why he was not allowed to contest the election. It noted that in the instant case, “Sylva contested primaries in January 2011 for a general election fixed for April 2011. The general election was cancelled. Fresh primaries were fixed by this party, but he was not allowed to contest. “There is thus no similarity in Ameachi case and this case. In Amaechi’s case, he was barred from contesting the general election. In this case Governor Sylva was barred from contesting primaries of his party,” said the learned justices. |
latest information is that prior to the match, Drogba travelled to cote de voire to use juju to untie torres legs and tie messi's legs so that he can never score |
Delafruita: @E niceExactly what i have been trying to say but i don't see any merits in hearing the case because it will be a waste of time. |
Delafruita: @E niceContinue the process! how? Government is a continuum. It is assumed that everything Sylva did during those 8 months is valid. his salary and allowance would not be refunded, all law, acts, and contract signed by him are valid. if that is the case, how can we then go back as if nothing happened? Everybody has the right to vote and be voted for. So, are you now saying that we should wait for sylva to come down from his high horse to contest election before any other person can be voted for? Sylva willingly submitted himself to the PDP election committee, he signed a form of "terms and conditions apply" ie agreeing to accept the committees verdict. hence the supreme courts judgement that courts have no jurisdiction in party affairs. Since Sylva himself caused this brohaha, he has himself to blame not PDP |
this story is bullsh.it. They know occupy Nigeria 2 would be deadly than 1. So they can't try it. |
Spyker: The same apex court had imposed Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi as the lawful candidate of the PDP for the state governorship election in 2007 and sacked the party’s anointed and sitting governor, Sir Celestine Omehia. What the supreme court and the electoral act is saying is that once a political party has decided on which method (concensus, election, selection etc) to adopt in producing its candidate, then it must follow it's own (party) laid down rules. This is why INEC is required to be present as umpire. In the case of Amaechi/Omehia, PDP had decided on election which Amaechi won. Overnight, PDP substituted Omehia's name for Amaechi's. But in the case of Sylva/Seriake, two different processes (primaries) were conducted. The question was which of this is legal according to the electoral act 2010! |
Delafruita: @ E niceElection is a process which begins with the nomination of candidates by political parties for the election (primaries) and ends with the issuance of certificate of return to the winner. In the case of the first process in which Sylva was involve, it was not completed due to Sylva going to court. Hence the need for the second process which Sylva willing indicated interest to participate in but was disqualified. So was are you saying |
Remii: Lawyers in the house, please help me with how this case is different from that of Omeha and Amechi in Rivers State. In the case of Amaechi/Omehia, it was just a single election process, so the issue was who was the legitimate winner/candidate. While in the case of Sylva/Seriake, there were two processes. So the question was which process was legitimate. Also, we should note that there is nothing like "candidate in waiting" Sylva went to court to contest an election which he was the nominated candidate of his party. He won and the election was cancelled. Now, he is going to the same court to claim candidacy? Was he asked to refund the salaries and allowances he collected during this time? The supreme court did the right thing. The electoral act 2010 states that no court has jurisdiction in the affairs of a political party. |
Chai! Dis Timi guy is not a lagos boy at all. He 4 chop d kpomo dat night. Mr writer, i hope this ends in a happy marriage between Timi and Sarah |
Your wife is facking some dude |
emmysam2: Are you saying you are worth N1000.00? I dont mean to be sarcastic, but permit me to say this... that is almost too cheap.Too cheap! Dowry in Urhobo land is N125. You are not suppose to pay the entire amount cause if you do then you are a bad in-law. The balance is to signify that you do not own the girl completely. |
slimyem: if Kate is a true christian, she'd definitely not be considering a married man fotr anything!I told her same and she's like i am the enemy of progress and don't want her happiness. |
There is this lady, let's say her name is kate. Kate is a christian, in her early 30s, has a good job and has been in a relationship with a guy (lets say his name is mark) for 3 years. Mark has been out of the country for 2years. Though they have a good relationship, kate claims that mark has not spent a dime on her not in nigeria or while abroad. She says mark is stingy and this puts her off. Right now, a married man (say Tony) is asking for her hands in marriage. She claims that tony is caring and loving. Tony lives in the UK, is married to a white woman and has 2 kids with her. Kate says Tony's interest in her as a second wife is because his white wife is not willing to settle down in Nigeria and with that he may loose his kids. Therefore, he needs a backup. The question now is that. Is it proper for a christian to be a second wife giving the fact that she's not getting any younger or should she wait for the single guy she claims to be stingy? |
the so called father is asking for custody of the children now because his whitee wife cannot have issues for him. It is an ego thing. He does not really love the children. The day his whitee wife gives birth to a child, hmm, those black kids will become slaves so fast they wouldn't know what hit them, or they would be sent out like street beggars. |
MRbrownJAY: what you wrote above is simply showing your vindictive nature instead of FOCUSING ON THE CHILDREN'S WELFARE. again, just because someone made a mistake in the past, shouldnt be a reason to persecute AND dismiss them forever. everyone can be forgiven, even murderers. the fact that people like you do not want to forgive and rather have a child suffer to make a rather silly point is justyou lack reasoning. May be you think love comes overnight. Wish you the best. |
MRbrownJAY: ^^whatever a person did in the past shouldnt be a reason to punish them for the rest of their lives. many are too young or immature to understand the consequences of their actions, and therefore should be forgiven (have you ever heard of forgiveness?)....... the fact that you would stop this man caring for these kids at ALL COSTS (due to bitterness), instead of focusing on their welfare FIRST, is wrong! If that is the case, all men should abandon their family responsibilities,go into the world, have fun and after many years come back to be accepted with open hands. Fatherhood is earned. It does not necessary mean you should be financially ok but you should be there at the formative age of the child. |
MRbrownJAY: many men abandon their kids for a reason or the other, that shouldnt be a death sentence or a reason to say that he IS a bad father FOREVER. maybe he was bad but now has changed, shouldnt he therefore have a right to custody over his children, if he is better suited than their mom to raise them in a safe/secure environment?puts his hand at akimbo, looks down and shakes his head. A man leaves his children to frolic with other women and to be cared for by who? armed robbers, pimps, prostitutes, and all other societal evils? He comes back to say forgive me! Do you know time wasted cannot be recovered? What you sow is what you will reap. He enjoyed the 5 minutes s.ex and didn't want anything to do with the aftermath. Now he say he wants custody! guy be serious. Money has nothing to do with this issue cause the man can pay child support. |
