eniola1010: Uzland and others. I just have few questions.
1) back in those days, to get skilled visa, you needed to earn 70 points, but recently on this thread no one talks of the 70 points anymore and even on the gov website i dont see anything about the points anymore, has it been abolished?
2) if someone finished from polytechnic but not uni. Can the poly degree suffice to stand for english proficiency? Please can someone answer |

Lexusgs430: The applicant, would have to legally divorce the dependant..... The divorce can be done in the UK, but after the divorce, the dependants visa would be curtailed and would have to return to Nigeria (not unless the dependent got a claim of abuse) etc etc....
If that's the case, be prepared to pay a good lawyers bill ........
The applicant can remarry in the UK, but a decree nisi must be in place before marriage or home office would not issue a marriage license............
Make Una think am well ........ It's not that easy ......🤣😂😜 I swear. U have to pick ur spouse well |

I usually think if an employer sponsors someone from nigeria with cos, thats all thats needed for the person to pack his bags and travel as well as the ihs, visa fee and other peripheral stuffs.
Not until recently i started seeing point based criteria. I'm quite confused. Can someone explain please. |

So are you saying there can be An employer that has license to sponsor even though such employer's niche is not in the listed list of shortage occupations? |

Mtcheww over Sabi person, you go dey act like saint because you don reach uk. If we look at the POF you used for your family, we are 💯 sure is wolewole. How are you different from someone that paid for cos. Mtcheww Lol I know you are an agent. Which is not a bad thing anyways. But i am asking because unlike me 2 of my friends are at home, and struggling to make ends meet in nigeria and, i am tired of sending them money for feeding. They also dont have money for school route or agent route and so i'm trying to find employers that can sponsor them. Are u happy now? |

Guys please. How exactly do these agents have these cos links. To make dem charge these crazy fees to secure job for someone from naija.
How exactly do they go about getting the links?
Do they liase with the employers here in uk Or do these employers get a cut from what the agents are charging naija people
Or the agents just simply do the hard work of looking for employers in need of staffs oversea willing to sponsor, and they charge naija people for the stress they went through for finding the employer |

hustla: I really dont understand the Nigerian obsession with Ikoyi registry with all the stress. Do you seriously expect people from Bornu state to come to Ikoyi? Tells you all you need to know
Its not the only one that can be used for travel purposes. Your Ikeja or surulere or ota registry does the exact same thing That is why i said asides cus i also dont like the stress. If left to me, i wanted to go thru the route of proving me and the person are partners with utility bills and co, but na people dey say marital documents tops every other thing |

koonbey: You can apply with a day-old marriage certificate. Ideally though for such short timelines, you'd supply some photos from your wedding alongside. It's not strictly required though but there have been instances of people trying to abuse the system so anything you can supply to eradicate doubt would be good. If one of two unmarried partner is in uk. And the other one in nigeria want to apply for dependent visa. And because of this application they want to get married. Remember change of surname on the lady's part would have not taken effect yet. All her passport and other documents will still carry her father's name. Would this be a disadvantage during the visa processing. Wont they say since you are not married why is your name on your documents not carrying your husband's name? Or should they forget the wedding and simply use utility bills and bank statement showing they live in the same place whilst the man was in Nigeria followed with pictures of both of them togeda |

HenryG: Hello Seniors, Kindly help to understand how this works in the UK: My wife and me will be going to Machester come September via Tier 4 visa. I am the main applicant and my wife will be the dependant. If my wife(as a dependant) secures a job that can offer her tier 2 visa while i am still a student, does it automatically secures me now as her dependant to remain in the UK under her tier 2 visa? Please how does this aspect work according to the UK rules? Please help out. Thanks It works exactly how u have said. The main applicant will now be the dependent's dependant |

Lexusgs430: Your mum not working is not a crime....... You would have been upfront in your application letter, stating Grandma was coming to look after her only grandchild. She would be visiting for 3 month's and all expenses on your head (flight, accommodation, health insurance) etc etc......... But not so long ago some people on this thread said it is a red flag to say your relative is coming for omugwo. Which i find absurd. Cus if person wife born how person wan support him wife. Will both husband and wife now leave work when there are bills to pay? And only god knows how many months martenity leave uk dey give. Even if they give a long maternity leave who go come dey house with the wife. So i dont think it should be an issue to tell vo that the grandma is coming for omugwo |

CowbellY: They are able to check if you've been to the country before or like the schengen zone, they'll see your previous immigration records. But they wouldn't see your trip to Dubai. So why wont they see the dubai trip na? Also, lets assume you have been to uk, ger, dubai, fra, belgium, and now you have a fresh passport, and you are traveling from nigeria to uk, do you mean 1) uk immigration can only see that you have been to uk in the past Or 2) uk immigration can only see that you have been to uk and other shengen listed above but not dubai Or 3) uk immigration can see all of the countries you have been to before |

Are the immigration officers in airport able to tell if such person have had lot of travel histories even when the new passport has no stamps. Would they purposely run scan on the person history or they just have a computer that tells them on the spot the person's history or they have to ask the person first if he has been to other countries before |
