That you, Koonbey (as an individual) do not hold those standards does not in any way mean we (all) do not hold those standards. You should rather use ‘I’ instead of ‘we’ in your last sentence.

Was actually reading a news from telegraph this afternoon, where Reed managing director said there has been a plunge of 24percent of job posting on Reed.

What I normally do is by making sure I included a cover letter with my application, only focused on indeed, civil service and nhs (both England and Scotland).

I actually prefer applying for civil service and nhs cos real people get to read your application not like those cv filters that some private companies use.

If I apply to like 40-60privates, would get like 5-8 employers interested in, then only 2-3 will eventually grant interview cos other would not continue after asking for visa status (psw).

But with nhs or civil service , 10 solid applications could grant 3-5 interviews, tho, the application takes time, say like 30-1hr, but really worth it.

Another thing, always try to apply to most recent posted jobs, I normally filter out 7 days upwards on sites like indeed. (Not cs or nhs ).
My boss when you say civil service of course you are talking of public services maybe transport, hospital, accounting, or other fields.
Is there a general site where the uk gov post all their job opening for roles like how nhs has general site where they post job openings

Good evening all.

Please , I need help. I have been applying for credit card but not been successful. Please , how can I get credit card. I have been in UK for more than 18months and on skilled worker visa.

What is wrong with this people now?

Please help me oh
For now dont apply again, the more you apply and get rejected the slimmer it gets for you to own one, rejection affects approval.

I dont know what visa you are on, but if you are on t4 or psw the chances may be slim, but if you are on a visa that expires like in few years time maybe on a 4 year visa it would help you more. Cus the years you have to live in the uk helps.

One thing that marvels me is how a disable person can live a normal life abroad.

The architects who design building such as hotels, apartments, car park, already considered disable people, there is a level slop for them to wheel themself into the building

What about buses, the manufacturer already considered disable people, they can easily wheel themself in the public bus and all the driver has to do is drop down some steps

Even hospital building, they have a special entry way to pass

Shey na u wey dey wheel chair wan enter brt for ikorodu bus stop? Who go stop for u or who go carry u? Bus wey abled people never see chance enter na u wey dey wheel chair wan enter?

These things may look little but its a lot to disabled people

How can you become citizen of a race? You forget that civilisation is incremental. What you see today was mostly built on concepts from the past. But enjoy your new "race". I am surpriced you are stil fratenising with us - "the uncivilised black race"
Sir or ma i am not putting our race down or whatever u think. Lets be truthful to ourself

When they were laying the map and plotting moves of building ships and weapon and skyscrappers 500 years ago what were we doing then?

Anyhow sha lets leave the matter. Everybody sha know the truth deep down in their minds

That MMIA is just another Nigerian disgrace in a class of its own.

Been opportune to be at Qatar Airport, Shenzhen Baon, Heathrow and KLIA: mega-sized airport projects, large, mini-cities, sophisticated hubs with rail/bus transport links connected to their respective cities.

Comparing these to MMIA leaves you shedding tears.😀
Bros they said africa was once the most civilized place lol abeg dead the matter for them. They call hunting lion with spear civilization or building groundnut pyramids. Lol abeg make we leave matter

People who are dying to be citizen of the same race they say havent done anything special.

They should ask themself why exactly they are dying to be the citizen of the race they claimed has not done anything special.

Do u know what it means to spend millions just to be the citizen of another race, and u claim the race is not special lol

Some one sent link of people inventing potato chips. Lol.

I looked at the list and the top three are blacks from europe or america i dint even bother looking at the list again.

Another person said because monzo or llyods dont send pdf it means they are not advanced. So u think if llyods wants to send you pdf they cant? Pdf o. Lol.

We are stating facts they are saying we are putting our race down.

For good 60 years we cant achieve steady power supply 60 good years. Haba. Rccg generates its own power oyedepo does the same why cant a country have steady light basic amenity.

Postal system is in shambles
Rail system in shambles.
National stadium in shambles.
And u r saying we are putting our race down.

We dey talk fact some ppl dey vex

See our national airport
Looks like a bakery no system in place
No automation
No organization
Nothing
Nothing to write home about

What in the world are you even talking about. A LOT of inventions came about from black people. Including great medical discoveries by NIGERIANS who have made discoveries on Cancer and Diabetes. There’s a whole movie about a Nigerian doctor Bennet Omalu who inspired the movie Concussion. If you are too lazy to google, here are some inventions by black people.

https://dailyhive.com/seattle/inventions-by-black-people

STOP TALKING DOWN ON YOUR RACE! It’s ridiculous and continues to purport the narrative that black people are not good for anything. I can’t believe I’m educating another black person on the value that we bring as a race and he’s saying that I’m adding emotions to it. Do better
Again with the emotional roller coaster.
I am not talking down on my race i am only stating facts.
From the littlest things to the largest

Bro, ever since i came to the uk, for over 10 month electricity has never blinked, i have never experienced such in my life, snow has fallen, rain has fallen, sun done shine, i no for once hear say transformer blow.
We are stating facts you are here saying dont talk down on ur race, did my race do something good and i did not commend them.

Look at transport system, an app is there to tell you exactly when the bus is coming, when next the bus is coming and where to stay to catch the bus. Everything organized.

Look at train system.

Even the tinest shop such as a barber's such is infusing apps to serve clients better

We are talking facts u r saying stop talking down on ur race

I hope you know that some of the everyday things you use was invented by a black person. Including the coloured computers you use today. Stop downplaying your race. A little google search will go a long way.
Abeg enough with emotion, facts dont care about emotion, what is 'some' compared to 'most'

If some invention were by black race, then most were by white race.

We talking of most u talking of some.
Na some we wan chop.

If we had it going why then are u killing yourself to live in their land and be a citizen of their land

Abeg call a spade a spade

Even the some u r talking about arent citizen of africa nation they are blacks whom were born there

Driving instructor is charging £30 per hour (using my car) or £40 per hour (using his car).

Are these rates not too high?

He's proposing a 10 hour lesson.

PS: My Naija licence don expire.
Please boss i want to ask something, this driving instructor you are talking about is it personal one that you contracted to teach you before you go for the actual practical from dvla

Or this is the dvla own gan gan?

1. You don't need to go to the Company. Same with if you give birth to more kids. If the Company paid for your visa, you can consider requesting to see if they would consider paying for your wife's but many may not.

2. Being a Pensioner means she's retired and gets regular income so she's seen as less risk and is understandable if she stays in the UK for some months. If the visitor is working, how can you justify staying away from work for months?
Oh i get you now
As for number two, the person is still working, can a letter of annual leave suffice for as to why the visitor is leaving his/her work in nigeria to come spend sometime with me in uk.

Please i hv some question to ask

1) if i get cos on January and like august my wifes comes to uk to join me. Will i have to go through another documentation with the company that gave me cos so that the cos can conver my wife who just newly came into the country? Or is it with home office i will take it up with and the company doesnt need to be involved?

2) about this mother in law visitation. I keep hearing people say is she a pensioner, if the old person visiting is not a pensioner will that reduce the chances of approval?

2. When you invite a friend from Nigeria for your graduation, they are assessed on the merit of their application (and risked-assessed based on that). The UK is very unlikely going to issue a visa to your friend who is capable of ‘elopes’. (I think your use of the word is improper in this context, but that na talk for another day). It is the reason why your friend who is single, earning less than £50 per month, owns no businesses and with zero history of international travel is likely to be denied in the first place.

3. Ever heard the word estimate / forecast? They will use a forecast and deduct. End of tax year, if they deducted too much, they refund you. If they deducted too little, they send you later to pay the balance.

4. Ever heard of HMRC Starter checklist?
See page 2 of the checklist. I have attached a screenshot for you to see.

5. It’s not exactly true to say ‘most jobs ask for DL’. Maybe most of the jobs for which you are qualified and looking for are asking for DL. If they do, it’s because it’s required.
A Project Manager working for HS2 (for example) may be required to travel to site where public transport is not readily available.
Thanks my boss
