Hello all. Matured advice needed.
I live in uk. I have msc and bsc.
I want to go to usa through either school or employment.
Lot of people say it is difficult to go to usa from uk thru employment that my best option is sch.

I dont have much to pay for another mba or msc.
Can i opt for college (polytechnic or vocational institutions) since those are more cheaper? I wont mention that i have msc.

My fear now is wont they say since i have bsc why am i going for a lower academic trajectory. That why go for poly wen i can do msc?
However, my excuse will be to tell them that i want an hands on deck academic experience with hardcore teachings which poly offers over uni.

So what do u guys think?

Agencies are not under NHS. They are partners.

Most agencies employ on zero-hour contracts

Sponsorship is only permanent-full time contract positions.
Thanks so much my friend for ur input
I have some more questions, and perhaps the house too can learn

(1) I see so much people on this thread who keep looking for firms to offer sponsorship i also see lot of people whom complain after that they had to drop an offer because during interview stage they found out such job does not do sponsorship.

Because of this sponsorship wahala i have really browsed the net. And i found out that there is a comprehensive list of firms in the uk that can do sponsorship.

My point now is, since we all know the companies that can do sponsorship. Why then do we apply for jobs that arent on that list and hope that they do sponsorship or am i getting it all wrong?

(2) a friend of mine - tho i dont knw if she is lying - says she earns 67 pounds for sleepin in the care home she works. Omo my ear ring wen i hear. Cus thats really much. Even me na just 30pounds i dey earn for sleep in.
My point is how is it possible for one to know the likely salary amount of a coy before even applying?

(3) if i am main applicant. But my wife got a 3 year COS.
Can i travel out of uk lets say for a year. And come back?

So guys i got a question.
(1) Are care agencies under nhs?
Cus if they are under nhs, i wonder why a lot of them do not do COS since nhs usually do COS.

Interests on savings is growing daily in Nigeria now, you might look at Money Market Funds - the type that preserves your value oo cheesy, get some interest, build up capital and do real investments that would amount to something in the future and not one that boys would use set their own business on top your head. My thoughts though.
Ok pls any input concerning my second question

Please guys

(1) what sort of invesment can someone with spare 500pounds per month do. That will not require much physical presense. I tried having a car and leasing for uber but the stress plenty.

I am looking at all these bonds, stocks and the rest.

(2) i have two friends in nigeria who really want to come to uk but dont have much money as such they cannot do the student route which i did.
How best can someone in nigeria get sponsorship even if it is to come and do care or factory work or any work at that.

Are there website i can check for this or who has idea to shed more light for me. I really want to help them

Hello

Applying will be the same for partner dependant, here is the link
https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/family-members

Please have a look at the caseworker guidance documents under relationship section for more types of evidence you will need, again ensure they span across minimum 2years and are verifiable

Don't use individuals to provide letters for you in proxy

Cheers
Thanks my dear. Trust me i wont do proxy stuff by that i wanna believe u mean magomago letters. No i wont do it.

Please just clarify one more thing for me. I came in sept 2022. Alone of course. And my t4 will expire jan 2024. When do you think it will be too late for me to start madam's process to come join me?

1. Yes it’s possible to convert a b1/b2 visitor visa to a student visa you’d need to have gotten admission into the university before doing this

2. It’s possible to get appointment dates if it’s urgent but before you’d be able to get an earlier date, first you have to apply, pay fees and wait for a date (it took me about 3 weeks to get a date), in my case I got November 2024 then I immediately applied for an emergency date and got a available dates starting from the next week, I chose whichever one that was more convenient for me, it took 2 days for them to reply my request for an emergency date. I sent a letter with the death certificate and funeral memo of the funeral I’m attending when I was requesting for my date.

Please i need a lil bit of clarification

1) if i have a visitor visa. What legal means can i use to convert to normal visa? Can i start schooling there, or look for a job that will sponsor me or how can i legally remain in the US. Pls emphasis on legally o.

Cus someone on the thread was saying once you enter through visitor visa there is no way to convert it, i dont wanna believe that is entirely true..

2) i keep hearing people on the thread who say one can boost appointments date if its urgent. How is this possible please.

There is nobody in this world that can tell you the likelihood of this outcome ....America visa is always down to the Vo and the voices in his or her head.

You can only find out the outcome by applying to see which way it will go
Thanks so much for your input.
I just need you to clarify something for me please f i am not asking too much.

1) are you really sure having exploring other countries will help in boosting the approval rate of one's usa visitor applicaton?
Because on the ds160 form. I did not see anywhere where they asked someone to fill any country he has visited in the past.

So how would this really help someone's case.

Just like the case of invitation letter back in those days, we all feel its very crucial, not later on did we realize its not so necessary.

2) back in those days, people always say its more easier to visit usa from uk.
However, having gone through the usa thread on nairaland. I found out that be it you applying from nigeria or applying from uk the next appointment date will still be over 150days thereabout.

Why then do people say its easier to apply from uk as if it makes the appointment date earlier?

Or am i getting something wrong?

Thanks for ur input.

Please can someone who is very versed in usa visitor visa educate us please.

1) does travelling to other countries give you an higher chance of having your usa visitor visa approved. What i mean is, if you have really explored other countries, those that give you an higher chance than someone who has not traveled to other countries?
Because on the ds160 form i cant see any where where it states you to list the countries you have traveled to.

So how exactly will the vo know that you have traveled to other countries before?

2) why do people keep saying it is easier for your usa visa application to be approved if you applied from another country outside nigeria.
People do say this a lot.
But judging by the thread i found out reverse is the case.

Both peope that applied from nigeria and people that went to uk to apply are having over 170days as next available appointment date.

What then is the essense of going to uk and applying from there?

Or am i missing something?
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by eniola1010(m): 10:57am On Oct 09, 2022
Shannon70:
So much wrong here.

Your relative writing to the Embassy means nothing. At best it will be ignored, it will never be matched up to your DS160 or be relevant to the interview.

You cannot pay for an expedited appointment. The only thing you pay is the $160 MRV fee.
Hello. Please i need some basic explanations.
1) Why do people always say it is better to travel to another country and apply for a US visa from there.

Have been hearing on this thread that next interview date is 2024 which is insane.

Now, is it because people are applying from nigeria that makes the date so clogged and shifted so beyond?

If peoplw travelled to lets say the uk and apply from the uk, would it make interview date sooner than if one applied from Nigeria?

2) is it true that invitation letters are useless, as in are they completely useless, or they have a little bit of usefulness in helping your application?

3) would you be asked what countries you have visited in a ds160 form? Reason for asking is because I am planning to visit about 3 European countries to boost my passport and increase my chances of being approved a us visit visa.

But i need to know if having traveled to various european countries prior to applying for a us visit visa helps or not so i dont waste money on such voyages.

Thank you

What is apparent is that the denial can't be as bad as that of someone 'visiting' from back home (9ja).
If I recalled well, someone posted here, sometimes back, of how they went about visiting the US from here, the UK.
While you wait for response, let me quickly chip this in.
- How much of across the isle to Ireland have you done: say Dublin for long weekend
- How much of across the canal to Paris have you done or 'soak' up in Spain
- Or even week long (or two weeks tour of Europe)
All of these might add up. However, they are not absolute.

You may want to check the US visit thread: www.nairaland.com/5807124/usa-visit-visa-part-4/234#116079788

Sponsorship isn't transitive like VPCs in AWS grin

Simple terms, you have to keep working for Coy A. When you resign, the sponsorship ends

You Can switch to B if they have sponsorship too
Chai lol. Me self na awoof dey do me.

There is this last question i wanna ask brotherly.
My grandmum and my mum's sister (citizen of US) are in the US.
I'd love to pay them a visit during sch holiday here in the uk. What are the likelyhood that applying for visit visa to visited them in the US for lets say 3weeks will be granted?

My aunt is willing to write a letter
I will be staying with her and my granny
I can prove i will return to the uk since i've not completed my studies there and we are on holiday
I can throw a little emotion into the application that cus i've not seen my granny and aunt in over 10years that's why i wanna visit and they are willing to host me concerning accommodation and the likes

The issue now is this, i hear a lot of story that US deny uk international students who apply for visit visa into US. How true is this?

Do u think my case can be granted since i have a little it of tie here in the uk and a tie in us?

Or i have to keep working for companyA to retain my sponsorship

Since your remittances/payment is in naira and not tied to your NI/UK account. Nothing concerns HMRC.

Please keep it that way. Use 3rd party exchangers to convert your money to pounds if needed.
Sorry for diving deep.
Look at this analysis.
A student has 4 banks. Namely. Revolut, monzo, nawest and wise.

He linked his monzo to his employer with NI, and that is where his employer pays his 20hour work salary into.

Now this student still does fiverr job and takes his earning into the revolut and natwest.

Would the hrmc find out. Or they can only know about what comes into the monzo since that is the one the employer pays into and that is the one tied to the NI

U might as well apply for another category of visa so you can work 24hrs/ 365days without worries
