bigtt76: It is a condition for your dependent to apply for a dependent visa under the study route. If your dependent is not eligible for that visa first then no way s/he can apply to be joined on the PSW. I will share with you that when I get but I think it was also a part of the application pack sent by my school.
Update This section below speaks to the above - Dependent won't get a visa approved if main applicant is on a study visa that is less than 6 months. If you are in doubt, contact your school's Visa support team for clarification, they are the best to advise you on same. What they mean is that the student must be on a course that is more than 6month, cus there are some degrees that aren't up to 6months, they did not say the dependent must apply 6months before the MA's studentship expires. |

bigtt76: I think the below speaks to this and is particular about the following:
https://www.gov.uk/graduate-visa/your-partner-and-children
1. Partner and children must have applied for the dependent visa at least 6 months into the MA visa duration (NOTE your dependent might not be successful applying for a dependent visa when the MA has less than 6 months left on their visa and I think this is in alignment with the minimum lenght of visa UKVI issues for studies in the UK)
2. Partner and children must have JOINED MA in the UK before the PSW application is filed (this is also in alignment of the MA being in the country during the application process)
I hope this helps Can you kindly show the part where they said dependant should have come 6month prior to the end of MA's education. I cant find it even on the picture and link you posted |

CheesyTee: If the primary applicant intends to apply for post-study, the dependent(s) will need to have applied for a visa and enter the Uk 6 months before the end of studies.
Unless they are looking to secure other type of visa... Abeg cheesy is this the rule on the uk.gov site? That the dependent must have come in 6months before? |

Quick question
For dependents, must a dependent enter the UK 6 months before the end of the primary applicant's studies?
What arre the implications if the secondary applicant enters after? I think it has something to do with BRP but i cant seem to remember
Kindly advise

Also, using this same phd person as an analysis, what is the likelihood on a scale of 1-100 that his wife can be invited, and do a job that will pay her cash or off the record, because i know dependent of usa students are not allowed to work |

doublesigh: You don’t need Tb test to go to the UK from NG except you have plans to stay more than 5-6 months I believe . Also, for my last visit visa last year, I had 400K balance. I think the historical activity of the account is more important. Ok tanks. The tb test question is for someone who is coming to stay more than 6 months. So i wanna know if the person can go and do tb test down. The person. Passport is not yet ready. But she wanna be getting stuffs ready before the passport comes out. She wanna do the tb test and other necessary things down. So as soon as passport comes out, she applies. What she does not know now is if it is possible to do tb test before visa application |

tushqueen: Hi,
Can anyone recommend a washing machine that dries as well, i currently use Indesit but I'm not enjoying it that much. I see bits of threads on hoodies and other fleece wears when washed in it.
Now I need machine that washes and dries, and gentle on fabrics.
NB; I know someone might say it's the setting of my old machine, but I know I've tried several settings but no help. The make of the machine is not really why there is thread. It is the cloth material. Even the best machine will leave wool and thread on hoodies and sweartshirt. U r advices to always wash inside out, because the dryer is hard and it will be pulling the wool. And when u wash other clothes with hoodie, when it is time to dry the hoodie will be attracting those cloth particule. I am also in the same shoe. So hence, wash inside out or if u can wash hoodie with hand, and to sort the mess that has already been done, use razor or shaving stick to peel the threads and use cellotape to remove the wool (waxing style) |

hustla: I would rather take customer care at Lloyds bank, Monzo or Revolut than care (Sometimes I wonder what the obsession of Nigerians with care jobs is)
From there, I can upskill and pivot into a better role like their IT Team or AML (after taking the cert) which pays significantly better than whatever care has to offer in this life or next
Sometimes, you gotta look at the big picture and not live in the moment
My 2Cents Lol but i no talk say the person wan do care na. Infact it is care and support i said the person is not interested in. I just use am as analysis but i get ur point to the core. Also, to chip in, don't forget that in care u can climb the ladder too from care, to senior carer, to admin, to hr, to even director in same care agency depending on how big the agency is. Anywhere u r, u can climb. We have seen cleaners/janitors who becamse directors in same company. |

mex551: youkay is not like Nigeria. Roles like secretary and clerical jobs are non existence or scarce in the uk . The title personal assistance is mostly used for care/support work. Nevertheless, tailor your cv to highlight transferable skills and look for customer service roles. Hope that helps. Omo when I check salary of customer service no difference with salary of care. Care earn pass customer service self. I will just tell the person to do intensive pm courses and try to do pm intern here in uk. Cus pm salary still makes sense even more than data analyst |

Lexusgs430: If each resident spends about 15 minutes in the shower, without turning off the taps whilst scrubbing, and on again when required........ If you don't turn off the kitchen tap, between washing, then on again to rinse ....... When brushing your teeth, turn off taps when not required and on again........
Excessively using the washing machine/dish washer etc etc
It's a whole lot of water wasting down the drains...... Water usage discipline is key ........ To cut water bills ...... Honestly we no suopose dey use 15mins dey bath. Ppl need to realize say bathing ur skin too much is not really good. Ur skin need those oil. The skin will sort itself naturally. Dont leave the tap on when brushing. Dont wash unless u have a pile of dirty cloth. Dont do underwashing by that i mean washing less cloth in the washing machine. These thins na just sustainable procedures. Although it is very hard to achieve. For example even me wey dey talk. I get over 100 tesco nylon. Even when tesco try to put a price on each nylon to make us reuse old nylon. Ppl still dont care they will still pay for new nylon when they have dozens at home they can resuse |

Solumtoya: You're a very funny fellow. 300 is below the National average. Do you know how many liters go each time you flush the Toilets? About 5 liters each flush. Do you know the shower runs at 12 to 15 litres per minute? If you leave on for 10 minutes, that's 150liters per person. Do you know the washine machine uses about 50 liters each wash?
Need I go on about cooking or doing dishes? You need to use data before talking of dolphins
Back home in Naija, when you used a 2000 liters overhead tank, how long did it last? If 3 days, that's 700 liters daily. I kuku sabi me i dey whine u ni |

dee1504: 1. You still need to fulfil the 70 points needed to apply for skilled worker visa. 50 points come from getting a job which meets the shortage occupation criteria, while you get 20 points for passing an English language test or proving your proficiency in English language. I am struggling to find the reference on the UK government website but if you can do your research, you will find the information on gov.uk
2. NO Thank you. Wise one. |
