As long as corruption is still there, Bola Tinubu is wasting his time.

See...it will get worse.
Politics › Re: Floating Of Naira Worst Economic Decision - PENGASSAN by epainos: 7:25am On Mar 05, 2024
I didn't want Atiku, Tinubu or Obi to be the president of Nigeria because I know they all have nothing to offer; however, I laugh so hard when people blame Tinubu for this economic hardship.

Nigeria was damaged a long time ago. Buhari was only borrowing disgustingly to patch things up. One day, e go burst. But before it bursts, we should see this.

Una still want subsidies? Go ahead. Get it. Force naira back to N150...and please, don't tackle corruption. grin

Three things we must tackle:
1. Corruption
2. Overpopulation (2 kids per woman)
3. Illiteracy
4. Local production

Tackling these issues above is the solution, and naira will suffer a bit. This is the truth.

I am happy Tinubu has made us all see where we are. If we want the easy way out now, then, we return to Buhari's style and keep borrowing na. But one day, a loaf of bread will be N70,000. Lol.

So PENGASSEN should go take back seat.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Pls Advice Me. by epainos:
Stargurl20:
I'm a graduate of psychology. I'm serving at present, but I do not want to be carried away by the freedom of my service year.

I dream to work at one of the big 4 companies, but I'm confused about what professional certification I can obtain to stand out. I only graduated with 2.1 (4.12/5.0), but I know there countless of people who graduated with better CGPAs with the same dream.

I'm not good at math, so I'm scared of ICAN. Kindly recommend certs I can obtain to level up. Cost effective but well recognized certs between. Thaank you.
1st class graduates have a higher chance. As you have been told, you just need to pass their tests first.

The easier route is via tech, and you don't like maths. If you must go for certification, I think tech is better. I am not so sure accounting certs can give you an edge these days if you want to break into the big 4. It is more useful when you are there, especially if you are in their audit department. Their management consulting department is about your brain. What works is getting a good grade from the world's top universities. Best students from top Nigerian universities can get into the big 4 too easily than others. But not all of them. Most of them always go for masters outside the country

With tech, you have more options, and not only in the big 4.

My advice is that you sit for the US GRE and "smash" it. Get a very high score that you can use to get a 100% scholarship to the US. To me, it is easier than trying to get a job in Naija now.

If you have uncles and aunts who can still support you, look into Austria and find a school where you can pay €750 or less annually.

After spending a year in the big 4, trust me...you will start thinking how to move out. So, why don't you try it also while looking for a job that is so hard to get?

If you have access to a backyard that is spacious enough (half plot extra), learn gardening and you can raise money within 2 to 3 years for your graduate study in places like Germany, Austria, and maybe Finland without asking anyone for help. And then, cross to the UK US, or Canada after you finish your program.

If you box yourself to ONLY getting a job with the big 4, you may be frustrated. You will get anyhow job and frustration can set in. You are in a tough environment where there is nothing. Think also of making money instead of only getting a job. You should try to get your dream job, but you must have other options....else, you will lose it.

Since you have enough time now, you are not good with maths, but if you are good with logic and you are a deep thinker, try to learn to trade. You can get good free resources online to get started. Learn macroeconomics and chart reading. Do not put your money there until after your skill is ok using a demo account. Invest 1 full year to learn it well. Trading is not gambling. Yoj must understand how the algorithm works. If you don't, then, you are gambling. 95% of traders gamble because they do not understand the algorithm. This is the real way out of the financial mess because it is tapping into the world economy that cannot fail.

Listen to me. In those days, we were in the dark and nothing for Africa. But Covid-19 was the instrument God used for some of us in Africa. The devil thought he would level Africa out with COVID-19, but it was all gain for Africa. COVID is the reason tech boys are making it (online jobs) cos they have just realised that there are talents in Africa. It is the reason all nations have cut down tourist/business visas and they focus more on work visas and talent-hunt from Africa.

Position yourself to move out of Africa or tap into the world economy.

Good luck!

Tellmeastory:
Not as easy as you think, especially with a population explosion from 45 million to 240 million in that period.

Most countries on Nigeria's level have power supply issues. Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Lebanon etc.

Load shedding in India

''In 2022, the state of Rajasthan was forced to introduce load shedding for industrial and residential consumers as the country dealt with the worst power crisis it has seen in years. Parts of India experienced rolling blackouts for up to 10 hours or, in more remote areas, 12 hours a day. Damaging fuel shortages have resulted in the shutdown of three power plants in Punjab alone. Reuters predicts that India will continue experiencing widespread blackouts.''

Load shedding in Pakistan

''Pakistan continues to grapple with prolonged and unscheduled power cuts. The country’s severe electricity crisis has hit both rural and urban areas with Karachi experiencing no power for up to 15 hours and Lahore going without power for nearly 12 hours. Although officials had announced a plan to conserve energy, there does not seem to be any reprieve from prolonged darkness.''

https://elum-energy.com/blog/major-countries-with-load-shedding/

Load shedding in Lebanon

''Lebanon is another country that has been plagued with widespread blackouts. This is a result of an economic crisis that the World Bank has dubbed as one of the “most severe crisis episodes globally since the mid-nineteenth century”.

Fuel shortages and, according to the New York Times, a “dysfunctional” energy sector are to blame for the power cuts. Similar to the situation in South Africa, power outages are simply a part of Lebanese life. In the last year, these issues have resulted in state-supplied electricity only coming on for one or two hours a day........''.

SO AS YOU CAN SEE, IT'S NOT ABOUT SKIN COLOUR!!

undecided
The point that guy is telling you is that you fix yourself as a black man first. The whites did what they did, and it is time for Africa and the nations above to fly, but they aren't. Still, blame white.

You identified the problem. Se na white man force you to bear children you cannot take care of. The same population is affecting all the nations above..China is correcting his. When China had the highest population, they were suffering. It was hard to correct, and in fact, they overdid it.

Nigerians after having 5 daughters won't stop cos they want boys. Na white dey do that? Those daughters too will have many kids. Whose fault is it?

You want govt to do all....right? Na white dey collect bribes from politicians to vote shittly leaders? Or na whites voted for Bola Tinubu? Na whites voted for Buhari? Ma whites still dey support Atiku to force himself to rule? Na whites dey collect money from Atiku to win PDP primaries every time? Na whites make Peter Obi go do Pandora papers? Na whites taught him to manipulate the whole system when he was a governor?

Keep blaming the whites for your failures
My only advice is that you control your pen.is. If you can, you may not experience poverty like others. But I know the chances are high that you wont cos you are Nigerian na. You must have boys and girls as children and then neglect their welfare for govt. Na so na. You go soon shout "ebi n pa wa". grin

Tinubu is trying hard to leave a legacy behind. Lol. However, his past bad deeds are catching up with him.

He cannot fight the cabals because he was once a leader of a cabal. Hmmm!

He wants to leave a legacy behind, but Remi his wife and Seyi are there to loot. The same thing affected Buhari. Cos what exactly does Tinubu want to loot again? Yet, he cannot do without Remi, Seyi, Gbaja, and many other allies. But most of those allies are crooks. They are the ones who will demand bribes.

Can Tinubu fight the cabals in the banking sector? Can he say NO to Dangote, Adenuga, and some other powerful guys in some areas? Maybe yes, but hmmmm. He has a limit on what he can do.

His ministers are crooks. So, what are we saying?

Like I always say..Atiku would be the worst president Nigeria would president if he had won. And Peter Obi will do absolutely zero. Pandora guy na crook guy also.

How did people do DUMB get the money they got scammed of in the first place?

Imagine giving a HUGE amount of money to a NIGERIAN to help you secure a UK job and sponsorship.

NEVER trust a Nigerian when it comes to money. Even if said Nigerian currently lives in heaven.
You call them dumb because they lost their money. Some paid the same amount and got what they wanted. So those who paid and got what they wanted are dumb too. Right? Of course, I wouldn't pay a dime for such too, but I wouldn't call them dumb.

Guy, perhaps you can't even raise N200k (not even up to £130), yet you labelled someone who raised over £6k dumb. Lol.

Even if they lose this, they can still bounce back, and they will raise another £20k meanwhile, you that is smart won't still raise £200. Who is dumb?

Well said , so explain why Obi is not the right candidate

Obi should be , because he has a vision to repair and put us in production that what this country need to bounce back
Who told you Atiku, Sowore, or other candidates don't have visions too? grin

Visions die in the presence of corruption. Corruption is the issue at hand now. Like I said, the person must fight everyone. Must be a strong man. Can Obi fight the House of rep and Senators? Person wey get 1 candidate in the house.. grin

Also, Obi is among them too. Was he not the Pandora guy? He will also call the stronghold men holding us in slavery to negotiate. The person who will make Nigeria better must fight them and not negotiate.

But I see a lesser way out...make we separate. Let each region fight its strongmen. If those strongmen decide to destroy their own region...na dem wahala oooo. But in this situation....strongmen built a refinery in Kaduna and then spent billions to build pipes...and then use trucks carry petrol back to where crude oil came from. That na sense? Dem kon dey blow pipes built with millions of dollars up and down....dey steal equipment in refinery grin You have to win those strongmen to correct that stupidi.ty. In order not to fight such a useless fight, if we separate, Kaduna knows it will pay dollars to get crude from delta. Shikena. Those strongmen are defeated automatically. So, internal strongmen are to be fought. You know the strongmen in each region na.

you understand macro and micro economics sir. What use is this to the nation when the CBN cum FG policies are making life unbearable for Nigerians? Emefiele was the thief yet Nigeria was better, today you and I can't even buy garri cheaply. Don't be a fan of propaganda.

Under Buhari food was cheaper, power was better, businesses never suffered huge losses. In less than one year into this govt, MTN declared billions in losses, Nigeria breweries declared losses, other major businesses declaring losses. Yet you're telling me you understand macro and micro economics. What is the essence of macro and Micro economics if not ensuring maximum prosperity for businesses and citizens?
Firstly, I am not a fan of Jagaban. I think he is not the right candidate. Also, Obi and Atiku aren't qualified. So, get that right.

If you understand the damages done by Buhari and Emefiele, you won't write what you have written.

The real state of our economy is what you have seen due to corruption, mismanagement, and recklessness. Someone must pay for it. Yes, subsidy can continue and we won't feel it like this for now, but some people will still pay in the future. This is what our grandfathers did. They borrowed so much, and IBB dem...embezzled it all. Who is paying for the mistakes? Our grand-fathers who are dead? We can decide to continue with the usual way and then things will be better.

But one day na one day....e go burst finally. No money to borrow again to patch it up. The real state of the economy and naira will surface. Maybe N20k to $1 then. And one loaf of bread will be N5,000 or more.

Buhari and Emefiele damaged everything Ngozi Iweala did. As in, they bastardized it all.

Now, Jagaban is there. The good thing is that he is facing the reality that Naija is about to cast finally. Buhari no send ooo. Did you not read when he said he cannot wait to finish and run to Niger? He don know wetin dey na. It was why he didn't even fight for 3rd term or force anyone to become president after him. Lol. Baba knows wetin dey there.

The main challenge with Tinubu is that he has failed to address corruption...and it will still get worse. The good thing is that Nigerians have seen that we are in soup. So, he cannot just hide things like Buhari and get away with it. Truth be told, Tinubu may not attempt to contest if he knew things were this bad. Lol. It is too late.

Cardoso himself could have rejected that appointment if he knew what Emefiele had done. Cos there is no way one can easily correct the damages.

Nigerians must go through this pain. But the wahala is that the house of rep and Senators are still looting steadily. Governors are still stealing. So, we are not ready yet.

That man who will erase corruption is the one we need. Heads will roll....he go shake everywhere. Ministers who steal....straight to prison or they hang them. Perm sec wey still...straight to prison. Hard work. Make dem go put them on farms. Make dem produce food for naija. Yes na.

The banking sector must be touched. I don't want to mention names, but all the big banking names will end up in jail. But see....Tinubu is still rubbing hands with them all. Those who put us in this mess are the ones he is calling to bail us out. Dem just wan find a temporary solution so their business can continue.

Naija isn't getting better bro. Let me not deceive you.

Not until everything is destroyed that we will move forward. Me, a dey pray say make everything collapse. Go through my past posts and you will see. Some people cursed themselves (not me) that I don't like Nigeria. Why would I like Nigeria? Please, all I want is for people living in this present Nigeria should live in wealth na. The pain and sorrow are too much na. If Naija breaks and the people in it live happily in different nations....so be it.

Do you want Tinubu to go borrow heavily and pump it into forex like Buhari....yes, things will adjust a bit. But one day...e go cast na. Se na N1,900 e bi now...e go just go to N20,000. cheesy As in dem fit make am N350 now sef. And things will normalize but the thing dem dey use back am up ...e go cast one day. And e don dey near am. So, dem sef dey use style do am gently during obj, yaradua, Jonathan and buhari. All of them did it...but that of Buhari was reckless. As in too reckless. Heavy borrowing cos he didnt want the truth to leak out. Though, we know oooo...economists had an idea also, but we didnt know the real extent. As soon as Tinubu removed it all...our eyes cleared say ....na so e bi?

Se make Tinubu too go borrow heavily and make it N200.....and dem one day...e go cast finally. N200 to N75,000 or more. And a cup of garri will be N35,000. Na that one you want?

We have been able to streamline it to north and south. If Igbo SE cannot handle SS and SW then something is wrong with them. grin Benue oooo....Igbo oooo...they must contest and election that other parties must be involved..

3 zones in the south and the Igbo want to stop the other two. No be juju be that? Yet, Igbo produced the first president oooo. ZIK. When dem dey rule, SS complained? Even SW did not smell the seat when they were in charge. But dem carry greediness go kill the Balewa and Bello. They made enemies with the North. And IBB liberated SS from their grip. Whose fault is that? grin

So una don realise say Obi Pandora cannot win an election in this country. grin

Look at the southern true state:

Igbo presidency - Zik - 1 time
SS presidency - Jonathan - 1 time
SW president - OBJ and Jagaban - 2 times

Where is the marginalization in terms of Aso Rock? Yes, the Igbo region is marginalized...but is it not their fault? The narrative is that they must be the president to be effective. Lol. Sox Batth NNaji that gave Aba 24/7 power is in Aso Rock
Right?

Igbo should have learned that their stubbornness and pranks don't affect others again.. grin They must win an election SW and SS will also contest in 2027 before it rolls to the north. Lol. And then, they should shut up for the North to rule for 8 years afterwards. When it is Southern time again, they should go and negotiate with their Southern counterparts and see what can happen. Oh. They will return to the social and start bullying everyone to get to Aso Rock. grin We shall see again.

No matter how you fight this issue, you will lose. BAT has realised that he MUST keep subsidizing it. Lol. Officially CBN is the one that has pegged it with the recent $20k sales to qualified BDCs.

The ONLY solutions are:

1. Borrow money or just get it anyhow to quickly invest heavily in Power. If Barth Nnaji can do it in Aba, we can do it elsewhere. Lagos, Abuja and PH need this. 24/7 light everywhere.

2. Keep cabals in diesels away, so that production can start again. The high cost of diesel was the reason factories shut down. So, we need to get electricity going.

Naturally, producers will return to work and the naira will naturally gain its strength back.

See...CBN will keep subsidizing it as long as my recommendation above is not done. And it will get to a stage, where CBN will die off too. The truth is on BAT's table. grin Nigeria cannot afford to continue what CBN is doing, but BAT may take the easy way out like Buhari and do it...cause more damage, and pass the burden to the next president.

Does non-alcoholic wine make you intoxicated?
Have you searched any reference material to make you belive that Jews give non alcoholic wine in joyous events?
Did you read that Jesus' product was fermented? Did the chief guest say Jesus' product was fermented? Please, show me na where you got it from that the chief guest said Jesus' product is alcoholic. Please, show me. Cos I don't understand how you people dont quickly grab simple things.

What kind of wine intoxicates or make people drunk?
Alcoholic or non-alcoholic?
Besides, it was not taken from the garden or took days
Water was poured into large jars and they miraculously turned into wine
Use your head. Think deep. That wine that intoxicated them that the chief guest talked about....was it Jesus' product? Think deep! Or are you guys not able to assimilate simple things? I don't get it. undecided

Noise pollution should be eradicated In Nigeria. It is not healthy at all. I always watch out for mosques and churches anyway I want to live.

This law won't work until they start arresting and fining them heavily.

This thread is hilarious. grin

The lesson from this thread is that the Bible among other books is ordinary. If you like criticize me. The Koran is ordinary too. And the most talked about Ifa Corpus among Nigerian traditionalists is so ordinary too.

However, the spirits attached to books make them powerful. For example, the books written by King Solomon are poems. Period. But when the Holy Spirit moves with it...they are energized.

I used to be close to someone I met here, and the fellow to me really loves God. The desire to allow God to choose for the person in a certain area is real, but the fellow was deceived by mere humans here. How come? How can such happen? How can humans deceive you when you know God? If you know God and you are empowered with the Holy Spirit, it cannot happen. I told the fellow to ask God, but na lie. The fellow just kept using the human brain to study people and analyse them. You dey use abroad brain analyse naijas...you don miss am. grin

Every book is ordinary until the spirit attached to the book starts manifesting in you
...then after, you start feeling the power in the book

Nairaland needs to find a way to rank quality comments to the front page and lower the ranks of useless posts occupying the front page. All the comments on the first page are rubbish. Mehn!
