Why would a driver not stop when asked to do so by the agents of the law?

Is any member of your family in the Police service ?

In America they would have shot her dead.
Who told you she would be shot in America? why do U think there are car chase?? she can only be shot at if the Officer in question feels fear or was being threatened by the action of the driver. Driving away is not a threat rather jump in on a hood is a threat to life!

And when the police stopped a vehicle and it didn't stop, the police can shoot at the vehicle as long as it can be proved the driver disobeyed the Instructions to stop.
Not in the west.police cannot shoot at a vehicle for not stopping. There ate far more easy way to stop cars.without endangering the driver /public and officer's lives.Even police are not allowed to chase after moped if the driver has no Helmet on.Public safety comes 1st.

She should have "wanted to commit murder" na.

And you even ended up with "Nigeria is far from even being a third world country".

So in countries like US, Germany and the likes, citizens don't comply with Instructions of security agencies?
Some dont and if a police or law enforcement agent jumps on a bonnet and the car crashes the lady can sue the law enforcement body for loads of £€$

Op, it breaks my heart that you’d talk about cultural differences and in the same breath call our culture “stupid” just because you live abroad.
If we so much respect western cultures no matter how warped they may be, why do we treat ours with so much disdain?
Will talking down and berating our culture make us more western than the westerners themselves?
I am not happy with you for referring to our culture as stupid just because we say a woman makes and keeps a home. It kind of watered down all the things you wrote there for me.
Let’s learn to accord everyone their due respects.
Thank you.
I will never abandon my culture anywhere anytime cos wherever u find yourself from home there is a culture in the land.there is no yard stick that measures what o e is better.

Thank you very much,If the African Americans were serious and had their Game up,Nigerians won't even have the opportunity to troop in enmasse and make it in US if the African Americans there were seriously up and doing and them now complaining that 77% of Black Doctors in US are Nigerians shows to you the extent of how Nigerians are go Getter's as well as how the African Americans live their lives.
Its not as if they are still colonized up till now oo,but one yeye African american will be doing low waist and wearing chains called bling bling upandan and u tell me that's a sign of being focused and responsible.

I can't wait to go abroad and be avoided by all the Nigerians. I think I've had enough of them, even from here
Abroad is a hard place for a Nigerian woman, the competition is 2much cos where you wear ur Brazilian hair, there are real Brazilian women with their hair. The only thing you can put 4ward as a bargaining chip is your character and expectations if not you are on your own!

Dude, not sure what you seem to be having difficulty understanding...
If Nigeria has a massive surge of infections, it will overwhelm the system - just like it has in the US, Italy, Spain, etc.

NO country in the world was prepared for Covid-19...
EVERY country is making it up as they go along, some with relatively more success than others.

Accordingly, for seemingly the zillionth time...
The smart thing is prepare for the worst but work and hope for the best.

I see you have found the story, but you’ve misread it...
There are 169 in 16 states, but about 500 across the nation.

That was before the at least 50-100 that has recently been donated.

PS: Here’s the new made-in-Nigeria ventilators...

>
please where did you get 500 from care to share??
PS, I have seen them ones displayed up there and I am afraid to tell you, they are the non-intrussive ones, won't help with this virus, these are the ones the Italians where using hence death rate soared. Nigeria with over 200 million people God forbids it spreads it would be a total disaster.I know you might be thinking Im digging out the FG too much but be rest assured, if you have seen waht I have seen, you will understand!!

9jaRealist:
Obviously we have hundreds of ventilators across Nigeria...
But it likely won’t be enough if we have thousands of extreme cases (remember less than 10% of positive cases will be extreme).

That’s the same situation that nations like the US, Italy and Spain has found themselves...
Accordingly, what we are aiming for is to PREVENT a massive surge of infections - hence lockdown, isolation and social distancing.

Greatest hope is that these facilities are NEVER used...
But prudence is to plan for the worst while working (and hoping) for the best. Good luck to us all.

PS: Btw, NASENI has started the local manufacture of ventilators in Nigeria.
>
where did you get the gist that we had hundreds of ventilators in Nigeria FYI the Uk only has 10k ventilators as we speak
last count Gwagwalada Spec Hospital Abuja had just TWO ventilators aparently 169 in 9ja

So, in other words, it means subsidy is not going to be removed!
Please we as well-meaning Nigerians will like you to reinvest the removed subsidy back into pump price so we can see it cos from all look of things, they are going to increase pump price using subsidy removal as an xcuse and tell us the money was used somewhere else!
