9jaRealist: Not if it is coming a year after you have the problem (assuming it even works)...
A vaccine next year is NOT prevention for a population CURRENTLY at risk, while Lockdown/Distancing is... Many people who lives could easily be spared by a lockdown and social distancing would die before any vaccine.
Btw, you seem to have this misguided notion that every clinical trial results in an efficacious remedy... When medical history is replete with failures (including the disastrous Pfizer meningitis drug trials in Kano). > Well if U live in my world I'm sure your views will differ. What has a person who is a front line job and designated as a key worker got to lose? Plus its its free |

9jaRealist: Strawman Argument...
How does saying there's presently no cure or vaccine and thus we should isolate/social distance equate to advocacy for doing nothing? You are placing your entire faith on something AT BEST might (or might NOT) help by next year rather than do something NOW to help ourselves.
Since you apparently like cliched sayings... Here another one: PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE! > Funny enough vaccination is a preventative procedure |

The point is that a trial does not equate to a cure or a vaccine. > Stay there, more than 80 persons have been vaccinated plus Herbalist has no scientific narrative of what they do, but this is promising so I'm staying positive!U can be -ve that's ur own opinion! chuxyfranklin: Imagine you saying UK would become world power because they produced a vaccine??
The dynamics of world powers can't just be flipped like a switch bro.
It takes money. Loads of money. Weaponry and political investments to achieve that.
And the UK doesn't have enough of the above.
Sorry if I initially sounded offensive.
I was just shocked by your comment. Is the UK not a world power? |

honeyB2018: Lots of unbelievers' in the power of God have been spotted in this thread, thereby reducing to not the power of God through his servants the pastors I have never doubted the contributions of science and technology in the quest of finding solutions to the myriad of problems confronting humanity, but my stand is that the ultimate power in all of these, still lies with God and to an extent, he has shown this through his servants the pastors in the churches Science and technology is yet to find cure for HIV, Epilepsy, Corona Virus and others, but in the churches today, God has done this. The world has gone to scientists to find cure for Covid19, but the churches are closed down, at the end, they may be disappointed, let the world through the churches and the pastors, run to God for cure, I can assure you, few days cure will be found. In conclusion, the combination of science, technology and the God will offer the world a better place, excluding God, via the church and his servants, the pastors, greater calamities awaits the world. Church cure U of HIV? |

You are NOT going to see a Covid-19 vaccine in use tomorrow or next month, perhaps not even this year at all. > its human trial so if I want I can go and have it free of charge! all I need do is go to oxford |

rotecch77: Longest time big Boss.
The introduction of water proof is newly adopted system for slab formwork( for normal plank type only) the system is not bad to have such to safe guard the water from the concrete. Actually we wish to use it here to but we couldn’t get it due to the lockdown. But we try as much as possible to see that all our plank edges are well joined plus additional aluminum sheet cover to seal the wider opened area. More so we will make sure that our water cement ratio is standard (0.4) Check the pics below to see how we do the formwork edges and the aluminum sheet cover for the little opened area on the plank.
Thanks so much for your time here sir Oyes this is true I forgot about the lockdown, well done for the improvision. Right about this time, I can just imagine the cost of 16 and 12mms |

9jaRealist: There's NO cure or vaccine for Covid-19...
The Lockdown/Social Distancing slows down the rate of infection... So that instead of (eg) 10,000 cases in 1 week or month, you have maybe 1000.
That enables even a rickety healthcare system like ours to better manage the crisis... The absolute worst case scenario would be having so many simultaneous cases overwhelming the system by sheer numbers. > Vaccination trials began 2day in the UK! |
