Porksupplyib:Good question. Evil people could allow you to get to a point in life and wait for you with close monitoring until when you get to a point where your efforts of many years would start to pay off and truncate it. Most of the problems we all have or face in life can be traced to our backgrounds while some were caused by us cos of either our negligence or naivety. That's human nature. There are several of such examples in the bible and in our generation too. There are many first class graduates today who are roaming the streets. It's not ordinary my brother. I attended one interview years back, during which we were discussing generally as applicants...we were just rubbing minds together. One guy said people get employed every day despite how though it has always been in the Labour market and without even influencing it. That's why we should pray always |
dontrulee:You can control a grown up adult but with prayer cos it's very hard to overcome the flesh. It might not be their fault but trust me, the day they're delivered will be the happiest day of their lives. Don't mind those saying they'd not stand it. Many of them cheat in their closets. I read in the bible when Jesus asked those who accused that young woman of adultery to stone her if they've neverindulged in the act before and stones began dropping off their hands. Self righteousness would land many in hell. Once he or she's admitted her sin and then stopped, you should move on and be prayerful so you don't fall again. This cheating of a thing goes beyond physical intimacy. Many had unclothed many ladies with their thoughts and imaginations severally but they never saw it as a sin or cheating. Whereas, the bible says , by just imagining it in your mind, you've committed the sin likewise by looking at women listfully . You see? Many people think cheating is wilful and those who indulge in it think they can stop the act by themselves...na lie. Only by constant prayer, committed behaviour and deliverance would one stop it. When you see a wealthy woman who gets all she needs, including intimacy with her husband is caught cheating, you'd be wondering what else does she want. Likewise a committed man of God. With constant prayers and commitment to a sinless life, you can overcome it. Unfortunately, this is what people of nowadays lack. They're so worldly |
enemyofprogress:Lol. You wan buy casket be dat oo |
Very correct, especially when you pray amiss. I worked in a popular telecom company years back. I wasn't making a headway despite all the accrued benefits. I now resigned and went to inform the man of God, a successful first generation chartered accountant in Nigeria, who stood as my guarantor and informed him I had left the company. He now said, hmmm! I was thinking you were doing very well as I wasn't hearing from you since you joined the company. He said to me, please, pray that the Lord should lead you in the right direction and show you the right path to your career freedom. God answered that prayer. Meanwhile, before then I had always been praying that God should provide a better job for me, which payed much better and with much more benefits in same sector, not knowing I was directing my prayer elsewhere. In the bible, Peter and his brother had toiled all through the night but caught no fish. But Jesus said, put down your net and they said master, we've toiled all through the night with no catch (still telling stories) but at your word, we'd cast down the net. We knew what happened next. You can imagine they had been applying their same usual experience as fishermen in catching fish and without listening to Jesus when he spoke. They'd have left for home with fruitless efforts. Pastor Adeboye was praying for just a house to be built for God for the gathering of His people and God told him stop asking me for a house. because I can give you a city and he changed the prayer point. Today, anyone who visits the redemption camp would know its a city indeed. Its bigger than the entire VI and lekki put together. One auditorium alone is 4x4 km in size, not to talk of the old ones and where people built houses and live. There's nothing you'd look for in a city that you'd not find there, except an airport but there's a helipad. They had their own power plant. A friend of mine had a problem traceable to his family background. He's very intelligent and graduated top of his set. He'd write aptitude tests but they'd not call him. There was one in which he was second on the list of those who applied to Nigeria breweries job in those days. I was the one who collected the parcel which their rep who was driving a brand new Toyota condor brought to him cos he wasn't around to receive it. He asked me, where's our new colleague? He was one of the finalists selected from across Nigeria. They were just 6 in number. I was so happy for him. He just got married too and his ex wife was so happy. In the letter, they told him they'd invite them soon for a chat before resumption. That was the last he heard of them. All the 5 were employed except him. Today, one of them is an oga at the NB. My friend was very prayerful but always prayed amiss. The day he tackled the family background war as exposed to him by a man of God during an intense prayer session, and those evil people told him they've left him alone ooo when the unseen fire of God hit them, was the beginning of his freedom. He has recovered all. His family relocated to UK but he stayed back home due to his thriving career. He never knew the problem was his family background. He was always praying for better jobs which he'd never get, though great opportunities kept coming his way. I have several similar stories but time won't permit me to tell it all. |
Emu4life:Rather, baba suffered throughout his youthful years. I know a nonagenarian who knows this man of God very closely. She's called mama ijesa. I bought the land upon which I built my house in Lagos from her. She likes me so much. There was a day I visited her. After making amala for me, she said, I know adeboye very well. I never believed she could do this. I said mama, don't worry I'd be fine. She said I wasn't the one who told her to make food for me, but herself so, i should allow her. She said pastor adeboye suffered a lot. According to her, there was a time he was always coming to her uncle's place in those days each time they had holidays from school to work. Her uncle was a cocoa merchant. He'd work and earn stipends before going back to school. She said he's very intelligent. One day, her uncle told her he'd give him a scholarship, so that he wouldn't have to be coming all the time to work so he'd focus on his studies, which he did. The same woman told me that her house was the first place in which Dangote lived when he first arrived in lagos from Kano. She said his uncle called Maitama was her first tenant who squatted Dangote in his apartment, pointing the place to me downstairs. The woman was very successful in her days, still waxing strong in her 90s. Every sweet story had rough and bitter beginnings. |
The neurosurgeon really did a good job on his head. The marks are still there. They must have spent millions of Nigeria's money to make him look this way |
Racoon:I know her very well. She served at the nigerian navy reference hospital in ojo, lagos for many years. |
Leave it. Except you want to whiten your teeth, which isn't necessary. If I snap my friend's teeth and show it to you, you may just change your mind |
Baba don enter retirement, now catching fun while still making more money. I love miami. God please, I can't wait to visit there again ![]() |
They learned it from our so-called leaders. I wonder what type society they want to leave behind. |
Only in Nigeria do people think terrorists would repent from the cause they're ready to die for ![]() |
money121:Lol. Exactly |
Hope they didn't say, awa lokan and voted along that line before they left the country. Now I'm beginning to really learn of leadership. Leadership is divinely orchestrated. You don't struggle for it else, you'd mess things up. Of all the leaders known in this country, only tinubu grabbed power by hook and crook. Even when Buhari was so desperate, he never got it until he willingly surrendered and left the space. From 1960 to date, none who ruled Nigeria got to power desperately and the history has shown and I'd start from the most recent cos of some indomie generation here. Buhari was called to lead Nigeria after the successful coup in which he never participated. Babangida, same. It was obj who said those who participated in the coup should consider IBB for the position. This is a fact not known to many, till now. Chief Earnest Shonekan never dreamt of becoming an interim president. Abahca too never knew it could be his turn. Those who persuaded shonekan to step down in line with their agreement was led by Gen Diya, not even abacha cos he wasn't in good terms with IBB. Abdulsalaam Abubakar never thought of being head of state. There were senior officers before him who could have filled that space but he was picked and his promotion was doubled, as a prerequisite to being head of state before he became Nigerian leader. Obj was picked from the prison, he had thought he'd be executed by abacha when IBB boys did the needful and he was released . The rest was history. What of Jonathan? ...and Yaradua? None of those mentioned above bought their ways into power. When you force yourself in a position where God didn't put you, you should experience things like this. Only God appoints leaders, irrespective of religion or ethnicity. If tinubu scales the hurdle of the judiciary eventually, he'd manage to lead Nigeria for 4 years but people should brace up for the unexpected. This isn't a curse. We're all seeing the realities. A Pounds sterling don pas 1,000 naira now. |
Well, this might be a cooked up story but what I once witnessed was the other way round. Back in the days, I graduated ahead of this my friend who played a great role during my admission in those days. We gained admission same year but I graduated ahead of him. After finishing my final exams and preparing for my nysc, he told me that he had a reference in one course , which happened to be his favourite. His script couldn't be found. That's how he lost one year. He went and cleared that paper. When it was time to pick their call ups, in preparation for the nysc, the school went on strike so the man in charge of student affairs unit took all the call ups home due to the strike action and directed all graduands to come to his house and pick their call ups. Somehow, my friend was doing slow motion in a girl's place. By the time he now went to pick his letter, he learnt that the student affairs director had been rushed to the hospital. Cultists whose names had been pasted all over the campus after rusticating them quickly went to the director's house to pick their call up letters. I wouldn't know the system now but in those days, the moment you moved to the final level, depending on the duration of your course, your department would collate your names as possible graduands and send to faculty. Your names would now be forwarded to the nysc. So, before these guys were rusticated, their name had been sent down to nysc in abuja so, their call ups came with others . When they got to the man's house, the man looked at the list he had and discovered they were all in the black book of the school so he asked them to settle with the school after the strike was over for possible consideration. These guys refused to leave. One of them grabbed a bottle and hit the director on the head, snatched the call ups from him and ran away with everything. That's how my friend missed that year oo. He came to me one day. I was already working. He narrated all that happened, except his dating life. I told him to accompany me to a man of God. That I was going to have a vigil there that night which used to happen once in a week. He agreed to follow me. Before the program I took him to the pastor. He said what's the problem and my friend said he had issues with his school which was delaying his progress. The man said sir, please lets pray first. As he began, he said sir, pls open your eyes, who is Amaka? He said its his gf and he said OK, as he continued, he asked again, please who's Shade, he said his gf and the man continued, he asked who's Bola, he said its his gf and the man reacted, saying, but why do you like women this much bro? He said one of them whose name is Bola( not her real name pls) was behind his problems. He said the girl had been telling him that they'd both graduate same year but he was taking it to be a joke. That she had had series of disappointments in the past, as guys always slept with her and dumped her. She now went to a herbalist who made some incisions in her private part that, whosoever slept with her would be her husband as he'd be in her perpetual bondage. In short, he prayed, fasted and he overcame. A few weeks later, his cousin told him they pasted a list of those affected by the call up issues and his name was among those names. That was how he served with the 2nd batch. Today, he's in charge of logistics in a leading USA company in NJ. Guys, stay away from those ladies if you want to live your dreams and you don't want your glory to die. Their legs are longer than you may have thought. Pray very well and be convinced of your life partner. Don't choose by beauty or cheerfulness. Enough said |
tolue42:Population isn't our problem per se but bad leadership that both you and I are supporting to keep holdomg sway, out of sentiments. What would you say of China or India that is now overtaking the latter as the most populous nation? China took advantage of their population to create wealth and development, all thanks to their leaders. How many Chinese leaders had 2 private jets before becoming president? That would give you a better understanding of what I'm staying. |
kufre2010:Na politics dey do us for naija. Innoson should be our brand, same way Peugeot is French and Mercedes Benz and Volks are German's. We're only throwing money away by importing those cars |
YoungLionken:two of my bro graduated there, top of their sets in engineering. One went back for his MEng. Had been sponsored by his school to USA twice as their tradition demands on research work |
YoungLionken:Maybe because you have enough money to throw away. Medicine and other courses in Russia and Hungary( Eastern EU)rank amongst the best globally in standard. Check out the list yourself. Russian universities are well equipped and their fees are so moderate. Some are even cheaper than some of the Nigerian private unis. People from western EU you talked about always throng rhe country to study. They really invested their oil money in their education sector. |
goshen26:Gbam! |
Clashhh1:If the story wasn't made up, then she wan kill your destiny, run, run run. |
Bonus whaat? Who gives the bonus? The world today...smh |
Welcome home, papillo |
IconicR:Why argue with all these indomie generation? It's a total waste of time. Most of them are insulting and sarcastic. They think everyone is their equal. Once I see the red flag, you won't see comments from me any further . |
pafra:Na today you sabi say tinubu na denz man? The lagos success he's been claiming had been there before he relocated to lagos from osun. History can't lie. With and without tinubu, eko will always maintain the lead. He only knows how to steal, and unleash propaganda, period! If he eventually scales the hurdle of the judiciary, which is hard to tell, his 4 years government will be the worst in history. I pity his supporters who are busy suffering and smiling |
inoki247:They did what they did in order to cover up the messs of thehr accomplice. Once the vessel is burnt, no more evidence. It was deliberate. |
That's it. Suicide would only end your quest for stardom and make you miss the soon-to-come breakthrough cos the devil had already seen that your freedom is near. Only the brave wouid shun that terrible route and the rest would be history. I had lost a lot too in the past and was planning to end it on 3rd mainland bridge without letting my family know. That thought kept coming and I kept rebuking it. Suddenly, the story changed with a phone call. It was then I knew that wonders of God never had ending. We're talking of dollar loss here , not naira. I cried and groaned inside of me daily. God is good, I bounced back. |
meditator:So, a larger majority of muslims voted tinubu/shetima right? 99% of yorubas voted tinubu, the majority of whom are even Christians. In Osun where we have the largest number of Muslims in the southwest and Tinubu's home state voted atiku. The records are there. I doubt you knew the role RCCG members played in voting tinubu/shetima cos of Tinubu's wife. You're probably one of those harping on the religous might. What would you say of the people of Benue who are largely Christians but voted tinubu? Why didn't obi win there? Where did the number come from cos I don't undestand what you meant by saying they tried it and failed. The majority of the northern Muslims voted atiku instead of tinubu but failed. So, where is the failure according to you come from? Christian side?Is South East where Peter Obi got most of his votes the only regions in Nigeria with Christian population? In 1999, those who voted obasanjo were majorly Christians, likewise Jonathan in 2011. Go and look at the electoral map. Most of the states in the north where their governors were pdp didn't vote obj or gej. They voted buhari as presidential candidate. Why did you think buhari always kicked each time he lost the election despite being overwhelmingly voted in the Muslim North? They believed in that same thing you ignorantly believed...the fake number. Seek wisdom and stop parading yourself as a bigot. |
Not again! What's wrong with this midget? What's he trying to achieve with this nonsense. And he calls himself a leader, tueh |
Canada should blame themselves for the challenge they are facing. I looked until I was tired of looking for a medical course in canada in those days for my bro. Only one out of several of their universities was offering medicine, not even on a full scale . Their citizens would go to America to study medicine and return to canada to practice. |
robosky02:It's African-like. Though he didn't grow up there, it's in the blood |
It's happening, gradually. The word of God must not go unfulfilled. The blind will till see this and call it a norm. If you read your bible, all these won't be strange to you rather, it will strengthen your faith the more and awaken you |
LegendHero:Know this fact...hausas don't pay electricity bills. Tell them to pay and you'd see crisis erupt everywhere. Before privatisation, they used to consume electricity like pure water. You'd see them stack fridges in their compoimd and leave it to run on electricity forever. They're the reason the region is generating so low revenue as seen. Not many houses are metered. They tap current anyhow. You dare not enter their house if you love your life as a phcn official. If you see ba shiga( meaning no entry) , you dare not enter . |
