My IW was refused last month but am yet to get a mail for passport pick up.
I have been tracking my passport but still shows is at the embassy.
This afternoon I decided to check my appointment page then saw a prompt showing scheduled follow up appointment but there was no date.
Please note that I haven’t received my passport back.
Will I attend the interview without my passport?

Send a mail to lagosNIV@state.gov and quote your valid passport number as the subject, together with a short sentence like... Please help!!! My Passport is Not Back Yet and explain in details in the body of the mail.

You may also check https://dhlpassportpickup.ng/ and input your details as if you want to schedule your pick up time. If it doesn't show any error page, then your passport is at the DHL office chosen by you.

Honestly, if SS/Niger Delta. have good leaders, they would be the most developed region in Nigeria by far. They have the financial and natural resources. They can outsource the rest if they like.

Not only ondo state. Have you been to Ekiti State at all? It's worse off. That fayemi of a guy only knows how to speak empty grammar. Trailers fall on that road daily. Have you travelled from akure to Iju/Ita ogbolu down to ikere in recent times? You could be kidnapped easily on that road because you can't even speed to escape

Instead of Buhari to send people to do feasibility studies in the south and gather youths and empower them to grow rice, he shut the border for several months and threw the entire nation into hunger. My cousin who was served 221g in March had been checking. Last week, he told me he saw 4 different dates with 8 different times when he checked around 5:30pm. He said he couldn't choose any date because he was busy so he thought of doing that later. By the time he logged back, all the available dates had disappeared lol. I guess those who had been waiting like him had taken everything. He felt so bad

Yesterday he logged back in the morning and checked, no dates. Later, around 1:30pm he said he logged back again. He had even given up with the last week's experience but I encouraged him to keep checking. Cos his programme in the USA was really close. He said he saw 4th May and 12th May and quickly booked 4th May and logged out.

With what you're now saying, it means you were unable see 4th May when you checked cos people had taken it. Maybe that 12th May you mentioned was no more as of the time you posted this message. Maybe more people are applying these days cos summer is approaching. It wasn't like this last December when a friend advised me to apply cos there were a lot of close dates for IW applicants then. He applied in December and received his passport back within a space of one week. Mine took 3 weeks in march and who knows, those applying now could experience more delays, Summer is approaching.

To those paying for interview dates. There's no secret or special favour to it. You cannot bribe those oyinbos to get dates. This is what you're not doing, which I'd encourage you try, if you need an appointment date.

Log into your cgi portal in the morning, around 9:30am, try again around 12:30, 1:30pm and 5:30pm respectively. You'd thank me later. Those agents you're contacting know these tips but would never tell you. By the time they finally get dates for you, you see them as superhuman. You may keep giving them your money if you don't have time to do the needful.

I intend going for tourism and I have made my accommodation booking regarding that. So I’m confused in the contact person they want me to input.

Can the house help me clarify what to input for the contact person surname and given names as well as the organization name.

My plan is solely for tourism and vacation.

input the address of one of the tourist places you'd be visiting and their telephone in your DS-160. If you're appearing for an interview, you can mention other places you'd be visiting to the VO as well.

Sometime ago, i was going for a vacation in California and I intended visiting Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland close-by. I imputed only the knott berry farm's contact details in my DS-160 but mentioned Disneyland in addition,during my interview. The rest was history.

ASUU went on strike for almost a year....what do people expect our youths to do when there were several alternatives? Those who could afford it had to find a solution to their academic problem. I learnt schooling in Sudan was cheap and they had modern facilties. This war had only exposed them to more academic opportunities because more Nigerians would join the existing students after the war ceases. This I know.

There is nobody whose turn it was. Oba Gbolahan Lawal belongs to the Omowumi Abisogun ruling family whose turn it was for the oniru. I'm not arguing the fact that his enthronement was influenced by the government, but it is not that there is somebody who supposed to be there instead of him. It is a competition and government's favourite always win in this kind of situation. The other guy who was the choice of a section of the Abisogun family is Hakeem Ajasa. The only cause of the oniru rulership controversy was that Lawal, been the first choice of the family, was contacted after the death of the former oniru and he said he was not interested. Four members of the family, including Ajasa, indicated their interest.

Three of the contestants later stepped down for Hakeem Ajasa only for Lawal to show up again. Being a former aide to Tinubu, it is obvious his U-turn as well as subsequent enthronement was influenced from above. That does not in anyway imply that he wasn't the right person for the throne or it was somebody else's turn.
