This is normal. It's same when departing UK as well. I know EU countries do stamp passports in and out. But the US Consulate has a way of noticing if you exceeded your stay or not during your last visit. They don't have to look at the stamp placed on your passport on arrival by the Nigerian Immigration. Every vistor entering and departing US is documented via the airlines that conveyed them and airlines work in synergies with the US authorities. You don't have to worry about this. They'd see everything during your interview.

I'd say she was even lucky to have received that warning. Many have died without such an opportunity. They told her death was lurking and she defied such a warning? I have worked in America's I.T and financial industry for over 13 years now and I can tell you the money laundering landscape in the 80s and 90s is completely different to what we have now post 9-11. It's the same principle how the whites are falling for yahoo scams in which they think they are accepting legit money from clients not knowing it is proceeds from crime. Go and ask any veteran yahoo guy, he'll tell you how easy it was in the 90s and early 2000s compared to now, ordinary checks wey dey clear immediately now you got to wait at least 2-5 days for the full amount, life evolves.

what if someone transferred money into your account without your knowledge and it's drug money.. The only way the government can get the money from you is by a forfeiture by a court order, what if i have a friend who does not have an account in the USA and he claimed someone want to pay him money for a service or purchase and he needs a USA account you provide your account and the money was deposited, you didn't touch it only to find out it was drug money.. The only way the government to get the money is to find out is you are involved in the drug trade if you not.. The law same with Nigeria law with the USA is for the court to order a forfeiture the money that does not make you a criminal.
TO me tinubu adversaries are not knowledgeable enough. What they should have gone after is not the money or forfeiture but transcripts of what really led to the forfeiture...

You can't even allow 10k of your money to be forfeited and you'd not be the first to cry out on NL for justice if it genuinely belongs to you. Over 300m naira is huge! You can't forfeit what belongs to you if no punishable offence was committed. Think about it.

Well if you are a fiduciary, an accountant or investment banker, you might have clients money deposited in your bank account. Do you know for sure where all the money came from? If one of those clients did yahoo and it was later traced to your account, you go forfeit that money and could possibly face further prosecution.

Then it means I'm culpable. There's no way such money would be deposited in my account without me knowing. If Tinubu wasn't culpable or didn't abate that crime, he wouldn't have allowed that money to be forfeited that way.

Mind you, I once lived and worked in America and had bank accounts. You can't even accept one dollar to be paid into your account if you know you won't be able to defend it. You won't allow your name to be dented too cos you could go to jail. Every penny counts. A tot sef no fit misyearn like the apc is doing. Who owns the accounts into which narcotics proceeds were dumped? They harped on the forfeited proceeds and the respective bank accounts but talked less of the beneficiary and owner of same account numbers.

But Why do we have such high number of criminals in Nigeria like this? If someone committed money laundering crime or deposited a lump sum into someone else's accounts, EFCC won't allow that person to rest. In fact after forfeiting the said money if the source can't be explained, the efcc would still be on the accused trail and jail him if they can lay their hands on him/her. Wole Olanipekun and his defence counsel can write or claim anything in defence of Tinubu, but they should stop making reference to US consulate or embassy in Nigeria. An embassy in a foreign country is just a business centre and will never get involved in your local politics in a way that it jeopardizes their business interests.

By the way, I didn't see anything convincing in defence of why Tinubu forfeited $460k on drug-related offenses. On no grounds will any legit citizen work hard, save up such an amount and forfeit it to the state. We are talking about over #300 million here.

This case isn't just about the morality of justices who will hear the case, but where Nigeria stands on the war against narcotics and being an enabler of drug-related criminality.

That date wasn't our originally scheduled date.The embassy itself brought our dropbix appointment to an earlier date( the March 15th). I met a member of my church on Sunday who also told me his visa application was approved last week. We both submitted same date. Incidentally, we met and submitted our passports at the DHL Isolo same day.
