And if certain truths turn up tomorrow, that certain intentionall acts have been done through chemical exposures to weaken or increase certain behaviours in man, and that gay feelings are engineered. What would be your reaction?

First, if Covid-19 had any effect on birth rate, it would be too early to notice. It's science, not magic. Second, you realise we had gay people in the Bible or prehistoric Egypt, right? Who engineered those ones?

Not sure I understand the question. The trend in Nigeria has always been that of disdain. Science is more factual than opinionated. So I really don't understand your question. Or are you implying I stand with gay people cause I'm inclined to follow western trends? Don't forget that it was the West that introduced anti gay laws to Africa. Homophobia came from the West.

I don't have to like or even agree with gay people to know that I should let them be. If I advocate for them to go to jail or denied rights on the basis of my dislike for them or my religion, then I'm not different from racists and religious fanatics.

You are homophobic. At least, be bold enough to accept that. Otherwise, your write-up is like a woman saying she's a virgin but has had sex. As for you not liking gay people, that's not a problem. It would be unrealistic of me to force anyone to like what they don't like. However, liking them or not is not the issue. You should be intelligent enough to know that people shouldn't suffer or be denied rights because you don't like them.

On the case of adoption, these kids are in orphanages. They don't even have homes. They're taken care of by people who see then as tasks and not family. You're saying they are better off there instead of being in homes where they'd be loved and cared for? All because you don't like gay people? And what do you mean aggressive gay people? How are gay couples more aggressive than straight couples? How many gay couples do you even know at a personal level? 99% of all the bad people you know were raised by straight parents, so what's your point? 99% of the rape cases we read on FP everyday are have straight men as the culprits. Most of the prostitutes in Nigeria and thier customers are straight. Does that mean straight people are perverted and shouldn't be allowed to adopt? Please, don't make it look as if it's the kids you're worried about. You just hate gay people, and that's OK. Just let them be.

There are bad people and there are good people. It has nothing to do with sexuality. The orphanages do extensive BG checks before giving out these kids and they follow up with them for years. They do these for both straight and gay families.

First, your comparison is not accurate. Someone with sickle cell anemia is terminally ill and is likely to die. A gay person is a perfectly healthy person with a different sexuality. When I said exceptions, I wasn't referring to sickness. Anyone who doesn't know the difference is bound to discriminate others.

Second, your analogy is not accurate. Sickle cells can be transfered from parents to offspring, sexuality is not. Many of the gay people you know have straight parents. I know kids with gay parents are they're all straight. So I don't see how legalizing gay marriage fits into this analogy, frankly speaking.

There's no way to address that because it is nature. You don't have to push or not push for it, you only need to make sure these guys aren't treated differently from others. Nobody is saying everyone should be gay. They're only saying gay people should be able to enjoy what other human beings enjoy.

If you believe in evolution, then you should know there's a reason evolution made some people gay. You should also know that there's no single aspect of nature that is consistent. These are silly questions cause everyone can't be potato or catholic priest. Likewise, everyone can't be gay. Nature is diverse, straight people will always be born in billions.

We have kids raised by single fathers. We have kids raised by single mothers. We have kids raised by a group of people in orphanage homes. And we have kids raised married couples. Regardless the situation, some will end up well and some will end up being disasters to society. I don't see how kids raises by two women would be worse than those raised in the orphanage, so why kick against the adoption if it's the kids you are worried about? They'll grow up to respect people regardless of thier gender, religion, race, tribe or sexuality because of their own minority background.

So the kids in the orphanage have that strong family unit? Will you adopt all of them? Or you'd rather they stayed there forever? Will you fund the orphanage? Sir, society is more than just culture, it requires sustainability and allowing gay parents to adopt kids is a good move. All a kid needs is love.

Everything is not about the US. Calling the US for everything that happens in Europe and Asia is an obsession and even gives more credit to America than they'd ordinarily deserve. President Xi is going for a third term, it's natural that he faces opposition. And seeing that the country is not particularly democratic, it is not unexpected for things to get a bit dirty. He recently sent a top official to a lifetime in jail. Though the said official allegedly took bribe, it's very evident the president is crushing any possible opposition. I don't think there's a coup though. Xi has a very strong grip in China; far too strong for that to happen. But then again, one never knows.
