Lol... dramatic country. |
It perfectly okay. In fact, it's expected. Prior to moving to Canada, I'd been travelling occasionally to other places, but the day I got to the airport to take my flight to Toronto, I felt a surge of emotions I didn't expect. When the plane took off and I looked down through the window, it became even more intense. I was living my family and friends behind. I was leaving the known for the unknown. I didn't know when next I'd see my people and in what state I'd see them. I didn't know anyone in Canada. I'd be alone, all by myself, and I didn't know what to expect. These feelings are natural. But then again, you're going to your wife. That's something that should brighten you up though you'd still miss home and might even have those first months of depressing thoughts most sole immigrants are aware of. Good luck! |
There's no legal age. Biology will tell you guys when to stop. |
^ The problem of Nigeria is the fact that Nigerians blame everyone/everything else but themselves. They say "our politicians are bad", "our scientists are useless", "our engineers are not good", "our pastors are fraudulent", or just "you guys" (like the person above). At the end, nothing changes. |
And you think the younger generation who can hardly stand each other here would do better? Time will tell. |
A sales girl? You didn't really say what exactly she does. You just want us to start contributing based on the statement "she's rude"? What I see is a power tussle and it's funny cause you're only there to do your 6 months IT. She works there (does she?), you met her there and she'd probably be there when you leave. In other words, she's a permanent staff member (the only real staff member actually) while you're a temp. While I advocate for mutual respect, you shouldn't expect to be respected as the senior just because you're a temporary IT officer. Dude, you are a student who is ssupposed to be learning. It's too early to start seeking office power and thinking of who is superior. You'll get there one day, but now, you have to stoop to conquer. By the way, why describing her physical appearance? There's no point going soft on you, OP, you might just be the problem here. Your post shows you feel hurt cause you naturally feel superior and better than her. Nairaland people are insulting the female gender as usual but if the OP was a girl and the second party a guy, they wouldn't have remembered gender. |
ecomalchemist:You've left the question to start attacking the female gender. You guys are incorrigible. |
WoundedLamb:Cockatiels will always produce body dust. It's their nature. Contrary to what OP said, no parrot is actually easy to take care off. Anyone buying one should be prepared for the long commitment involved. A lot of cleaning to do as they are naturally messy. Good luck trying to potty train them. |
A few questions, OP: 1) How old are they? 2) Do you know thier genders? 3) What colours are available? 4) Are there flighted or clipped? 5) Are they hand raised? 6) What diet are they on presently? 7) What's the cost of a pair? Thanks! |
Many of you that dragged Twitter to the grave for dealing with Trump are here praising the platform for dealing with Buhari. At the end, it's not about good and bad but merely a matter of sentiments and alignment. |
No pics? No details? How old are they? Do you know thier genders? What colours are available? Are there flighted or clipped? Are they hand raised? What diet are they on presently? What's the cost of a pair? |
Lol... he dissolved his cabinet, carried his bag and moved; no ideology, nothing. |
We all say women should bring in money but many men are scared by a lady's success. It's like they're saying "bring in money but make sure you don't earn more than me". Such men would happily chose a shop owner over a career woman. Again, men asking their women to bring in money is good but they should also know that means they'd be willing to contribute to house chores. The truth is, women are not machines. Taking care of the kids, doing house chores and working at the same time would take a toll on anyone and that's why we get married in the first place, to share these tasks either horizontally or vertically. The independent western ladies we admire wouldn't achieve that height if their men were like some African men who want to sit back and get served like kings. Good morning people! |
Please, how do I answer the question below? The total study/residence period is 10 months but of course, he intends to stay beyond that.

mbachidi:Thanks |
Lol... I think the comparison you guys are trying to make will be very hard. I mean, medicine is a regulated field of study. It is easy to know who is really a doctor whereas anyone who just learned Python control statements would come online to boast of being a programmer. People who represent the so called programming profession in Nigeria are mostly basic web developers with no specialization or solid/formal knowledge of market standard software engineering practices. Would you really compare such persons with the established medical doctors? |
It means there are owls around the area. |
Built2last:There's nothing wrong with spaghetti. The term 'spaghetti' is not a brand. Any pasta that is in long and thin form is spaghetti. |
harmargedon:Lol... wickedness everywhere. |
... and it's not every man a lady dates that she'd decide to settle with. For all we know, the lady might have been the one that refused him. Bloggers, give it a rest. There's no news here. |
thomasjoe:Yeah, I know. So the point is that the name has nothing to do with the ship robbers. And like Soyinka said, it was given that name for the fun of it. I got those details. I quoted those who insinuated Nigerians are dumb for being sceptical about the name cause there's nothing dumb about being unsure about a group named as such. The resemblance of the name to that of ship robbers coupled with the recent activities of campus fraternities today (which includes robbery) would make anyone sceptical, Nigerians or not. Next generation will still ask the same questions and the explanation that Soyinka's group wasn't into evil stuff would be given over and over again for obvious reasons. |
naptu2:I only read your first line. Apparently, you're not the type to hold a conversation with. Enjoy your weekend, man! Ciao! |
Lol... You've only driven the car for a week and you're typing "ever since" as if it's been years. Did the people that told you stuff about Nissan say the issues start on the day the car is bought? Dude, every car is awesome they day they are bought but only time will tell which ones are really good. I don't know about the Toyota/Nissan comparison but I don't think you need to be told it's too early to start making vows. Good luck! |
