The post has started a debate about whether the boy was disrespectful to his father or was simply being assertive.

A boy's conversation with his father about his Christmas gift has been shared online by the boy's mother and this has started a debate. In screenshots of their chat, the boy asked his father if he got him and his siblings anything for Christmas and the father said he did. The boy then asked his father how they can get the gift but the father said they will get it when he is "free" because their mother did "too much" and she made him "mad". The boy hit back and asked his father why his mother making him mad should have anything to do with his kids. The boy also told his father that it's fine if he didn't get them anything for Christmas but insisted his father shouldn't blame it on his mother. The father then called the son and asked him to pick the call but he refused and replied to his father, "I'll call you when I'm free." Sharing the screenshot, the boy's mother wrote: "And my son handled their deadbeat daddy very well! He think he can tell my 13 year old anything! He outspoken, not disrespectful." https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2022/12/boys-converstaion-with-his-deadbeat-dad-about-christmas-gift-sparks-debate-2.html

Nostradamus, a 16th-century astrologer credited with foretelling the Great Fire of London, Hitler’s rise to power, the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and the COVID-19 pandemic, had some predictions for 2023. Nostradamus' predictions were detailed in his famed book "Les Prophéties" in 1555. His prophecies for 2022 included the rise of AI, the conquering power of cryptocurrency and a surge in cannibalism as a response to inflation. For 2023, Nostradamus predicted that Buckingham Palace will be ablaze. According to him, 2023 will see "Celestial fire on the royal edifice." This could be taken literally to mean a meteor is headed straight for Buckingham Palace or could be a metaphorical tip about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recently released bombshell and how it could tear down the reputation of the royal family. Nostradamus also predicted that 2023 will find the world embroiled in, "Seven months great war, people dead through evil." Nostradamus also writes that in or around 2023, "The antichrist very soon annihilates the three. Twenty-seven years his war will last. The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled. With blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth." Nostradamus' predictions are sometimes on the money but sometimes miss the mark. https://nypost.com/article/nostradamus-predictions-2023/

A Nigerian man has raised alarm over the circulation of fake N1000 notes. Recall that the redesigned N1000 notes were released to Nigerians on December 15. It appears some criminal-minded people have manufactured the fake notes and are now circulating them. The Nigerian man says the money was given to his wife who runs a POS business. I’m ready for you, the world will know how wicked, deceitful, you and your family are – OAP Dotun drags D’Banj on IG OAP, Kayode Ojuolape Oladotun popularly known as Do2dtun, has taken to social media to call out singer, D’Banj and his family. Dotun who is married to Dbanj's sister, Taiwo, took to his Instagram page today, December 16, to accuse DBanj of trying to pervert the course of justice. Dotun and Taiwo got married in 2013 and have two children together. Vanguard reports that the drama started following reports that Dotun’s wife filed for separation from the Cool FM’s host over ''forced abortion, domestic violence, and emotional abuse.'' According to court documents signed by Omotayo’s lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Managing Partner of Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, it was alleged that the OAP forced his wife to abort her third pregnancy as a married woman. The court subsequently granted the divided custody of the children which Omotayo did not oppose pending the final determination of the suit in court. The publication in its report, stated that Dotun, on December 14, 2022, allegedly stormed Omotayo’s Abuja residence with some policemen and forcefully broke into her premises, assaulted her gateman and staff. It said Taiwo hid and refused to disclose are actual whereabouts as Dotun continued hauling all manner of insults on her person. The report claims Omotayo through her lawyer, Olajengbesi, thereafter petitioned the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja for unlawful entry, malicious damage, criminal trespass, and unlawful use of policemen by Dotun. The petition dated December 14, 2022 and stamped to show receipt by the office of the DIG, said the invasion left Omotayo in a “state of emotional distress and fear of imminent danger in the hands of the Defendant (Do2dtun) who remains volatile and unpredictable”. “In view of the facts stated in this petition, we humbly request that you use your good office to conduct a dispassionate investigation into Our Client’s petition and cause an appropriate action in line with the law to be taken against the Defendant in order to guarantee the safety of Our Client and for the interest of justice. In addition to the above, we request that the identity of the Nigeria Police Officers who engaged in thenunlawful act at the bidding of the Defendant be made known to the public and necessary action be taken against them so as to preserve the integrity ofnthe Nigeria Police that has been painstakingly built over the years,” the petition read in part. Reacting to this development via his Instagram page this afternoon, Dotun said it's been two years he has been quiet about the ''several lies'' that have been told and ''several attempts made to pervert the course of justice.'' He accused DBanj of using the press to spread lies, adding that he is ready to make the entire world know how ''wicked, deceitful, ignorant and despicable'' the singer and his family are. Read Dotun's post below... FIFA president Infantino announces that new Men’s Club World Cup will take place in 2025 The new Club World Cup concept was initially meant to launch in China in 2021 with 24 teams but was cancelled due to the pandemic - and is now set for a further expansion from June 2025. In a press conference ahead of Argentina vs France final on Sunday, the FIFA president dropped several bombshells after claiming that Qatar 2022 was 'the best World Cup ever'. Infantino said: "We have approved a 48-team World Cup format with 16 groups of three, of which the top two would then move to a knockout phase of 32, followed by 16, eight, four and then two. "I have to say that after this World Cup and the success of the groups of four, and looking as well at some other competitions like the Euros for example where you have 24 teams and the top two plus the best third ones go to the next stage. "Here, the groups of four have been absolutely incredible in the sense that until the last minute of the last match, you wouldn't know who goes through. We will have to revisit or at least rediscuss the format - whether we go for 16 groups of three or 12 groups of four. This is something that will certainly be on the agenda in the next meetings." Infantino, who branded the Qatar World Cup as the "best ever", revealed a number of decisions following a FIFA council meeting, including plans to launch a new friendly 'World Series' tournament involving four teams, each selected from four different confederations. The FIFA president confirmed the 2022 Club World Cup will be held in Morocco in February next year and will feature seven teams, including Real Madrid as European champions. The larger competition, set for 2025, will take place every four years. The international match calendar will also be altered from 2025, with one extended break spanning four matches in late September and early October replacing two separate windows in September and October. The other windows in November, March, and June would remain unchanged. The hosts for the men's World Cup in 2030 will be decided in 2024 and the Women's World Cup for 2031 will be decided in 2025. Infantino also announced a desire to create a new women's Club World Cup and a new Futsal Women's World Cup every four years. "The details of the location still need to be discussed but it has been agreed and decided that a 32-team Club World Cup tournament will go ahead making it like a World Cup. "I don't know what the British press says or doesn't say, but I know what we've decided and that is that there will be a Club World Cup of 32 teams to be played every four years and the first edition will take place in 2025 in the summer. "During that slot where in other years it would be the Confederations Cup, it will be slightly longer because there are 32 teams so it will last a bit longer but they will be the best teams in the world who will all be invited to participate. "But all of the details will be developed in due course and we will decide where it will take place as well over the next few weeks or months in consultation with all of the stakeholders. "The FIFA Council has taken the decision now as a matter of principle to hold that Club World Cup. Don't forget that we were the only football organisation in the world, at least at international level, not to have organised a competition during the pandemic. "Everyone else postponed their competitions but then shortened them or played them [at a later date] but we had a Club World Cup planned in 2020 with 24 teams that was cancelled. It wasn't replaced or postponed, and we did that because we wanted to allow for the Copa America, the European Championships and we wanted to protect the health and well-being of players. "We didn't want to over-burden the calendar. That brings me to another issue and allows me to underscore that when we talk about the [FIFA] product over the next four years, the Club World Cup is not included in that $11bn forecast. That forecast is without taking into account this Club World Cup. So I think we're going to have an even greater sum that we'll be able to invest in world football over the next four years." https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/fifa-infantino-32-team-club-world-cup-2025/blt9587e4ba77275eac

Twitter bans accounts of CNN, NYT and Washington Post journalists who tracked Elon Musk’s movements and shared his live locatio Twitter on Thursday evening, December 15 banned the accounts of several high-profile journalists from top news organizations, a significant attempt by new owner Elon Musk to wield his authority over the platform. Accounts belonging to CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, The New York Times’ Ryan Mac, The Washington Post’s Drew Harwell and other journalists who have covered Musk aggressively in recent weeks were all abruptly permanently suspended. The account of progressive independent journalist Aaron Rupar was also banned. Musk claimed that the journalists had violated his new “doxxing” policy by sharing his live location, amounting to what he described as “assassination coordinates.” Even though Donie O’Sullivan did not share the billionaire’s live location. Shortly before his suspension, O’Sullivan reported on Twitter that the social media company had suspended the account of an emerging competitive social media service, Mastodon, which has allowed the continued posting of @ElonJet, an account that posts the updated location of Musk’s private jet. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2022/12/twitter-bans-accounts-of-cnn-nyt-and-washington-post-journalists-who-tracked-elon-musks-movements-and-shared-his-live-location.html

The World Bank says it will take northern states 40 years to catch up with their southern counterparts considering the “current growth rates”. The bank notes that low growth has deepened regional gaps with the mainstays of the northern economy – agriculture, solid minerals and manufacturing – not experiencing rapid growth in recent years. The views are contained in Nigeria Country Economic Memorandum (CEM) the Bank released in Abuja yesterday, with participants joining online from different parts of the world. The 72-page document entitled, ‘Charting a New Course’, describes the main trends and drivers of growth and job creation and covers 2000 to 2021. It also outlines the key challenges and opportunities to speed up growth and create jobs, synthesising findings from recent analyses, including challenges and prospects in selected areas; while presenting policy options to sustain inclusive growth. The report highlights the sharp gap between per capita levels of northern and southern states, saying, “the poverty rate is almost 20 times higher in Sokoto — the state with the highest poverty rate, at 87.7 per cent— compared to Lagos—the state with the lowest poverty rate, at 4.5 per cent” while quoting 2018/2019 data. It notes that it will take the country about a decade to get back to per capita income level recorded pre-2014, that is, before the oil price shock that triggered the 2016 recession. According to the document, a comprehensive report on the country’s socioeconomic indicators and detailed explanations of the trends says the modest economic gains recorded during the structural reforms of 2000 to 2010 were wiped in the following decade when the reforms were discontinued. “Despite its vast natural resources and a young entrepreneurial population, development in Nigeria has stagnated over the last decade and the country is failing to keep up with the GDP growth of its peers. Declining private investment and demographic pressure push young Nigerians to pursue opportunities overseas. “Nigeria was a rising growth star globally in the 2000s due to the implementation of several structural reforms in the context of rising oil prices. Yet, this fast growth was not accompanied by robust job creation. “Between 2001 and 2010, Nigeria ranked among the top 15 fastest growing economies in the world, with an average annual growth rate of 8.2. However, the hard-won income gains from the 2000s evaporated between 2011 and 2021, due to the lack of deeper structural reforms, global shocks, conflicting macroeconomic policies, and increased insecurity percent,” it argues. Identifying job creation as a potent option for accelerating poverty reduction and closing spatial inequality, the report urges the government to unlock the opportunities in private investment to create quality and sustainable jobs. “To catalyse private investment and offer more opportunities to the youth, the priority is to restore and preserve macroeconomic stability, which has weakened in recent years due to conflicting monetary policy goals, over-reliance on oil exports, limited fiscal space and restrictive trade policies,” it adds even as it admits that oil remains the country’s economic “backbone.” The CEM outlines policy options focused on enhancing macroeconomic stability and an overall business-enabling environment. Some of the recommendations are improving the exchange rate system, removing trade barriers, increasing non-oil revenues and tackling inflation, which it said has pushed an estimated eight million Nigerians into poverty between 2020 and 2021. It also calls for strengthening the rule of law and social cohesion as well as enhancing the country’s competitiveness by addressing key constraints to private investment such as poor power supply, protectionist trade regulations, poor access to finance, and low digitalisation. “While there is no silver bullet to accelerate growth, Nigeria can become a rising growth star again if it implements a comprehensive set of bold reforms in a timely manner,” the report assures. https://guardian.ng/business-services/itll-take-north-40-years-to-catch-up-with-south-says-world-bank/ |

According to her, Indian 'oloshos' are better than the ones in Nigeria, because they are forced into prostitution unlike ''Nigerian university graduates and wives.'' Shirin stated this on Tuesday, December 13, while arguing with a Twitter user who had asked her about the Nigerian man who married a sex worker in Mumbai. The mother of two also said that no Indian family wants a Nigerian man as son-inlaw, adding that her family suffered losses because of her decision to marry a Nigerian. She also said that all the good men and women in Nigeria, including her beloved late husband, have died. "Indian girls are not olosho by nature. That's a fact. But go and check the majority of African celebs and even the so-called uni babes they only sell nyash. Talk to a Nigerian babe she will carry her ancestors debts put on your head," she tweeted. "I remember my auto driver complaining to me that Nigerian women have spoilt the environment with their dressing and expose their body parts. The Indian community doesn't accept nudity on the streets or social media. Do it in your houses or in red light area," "Look at all over social media, only nyash they be shaking for money," "Indian olosho are better than Nigerian olosho because the latter is forced into it and doesn't do it shamelessly like Nigerian university graduates and wives," Tweeting further, she said her late husband was a very admirable and compassionate man, who lived a good life but Nigerian and his own people killed him. "He was known in his town as a man of big heart. Its bad road of Nigeria and his own people that killed him. My husband died as a brave fighter. You are a loser mr man," she added. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2022/12/if-you-talk-to-a-nigerian-babe-she-will-carry-her-ancestors-debts-and-put-on-your-head-indian-widow-of-nigerian-man-says-as-she-drags-naija-women-2.html
